ok, i replaced the detectlanguage version with the test edit version and neither seem to be working fully, every now and again i will get a translation come up, but a lot of the time i get absolutely nothing, i really hope you can sort something out, my guess would be some change on googles end, i will have to give the debug version a test run and see what happens
@FordLawnmower im having issues with the detectlanguage version of the script, the other edit version you did works fine tho, i was using 7 different keys with the detectlanguage, which seemed to be just enough to keep the script ticking over, ive only noticed it not working today, but according to the usage stats, its not been getting hits for 2 days, i tried resetting my keys, but its still not working, so i might have to switch to the other edit, but i prefer the detectlanguage version, it gives better results
@FordLawnmower i think this script needs an update like the mIRC version did, some pest is mithering me :p

greek is tricky to get translated, if its written in greek font its fine, but when you get greek written in standard ascii, it needs double translation, but i think a way to set a default language to translate from per channel would be good and also an exception language to never translate from, with the default for translating from being auto-detect, including PM translations would also be good and something like if source = translation add source/translation to exceptions list, cos sometimes it still translates English into English
I tried adding exceptions, but it didn't seem to work, possibly because of other words in the sentences, things like uno for example, i added pl to try and stop it translating each card played, but it still showed pl gr as pl grams etc, so i gave up and just accepted that as something i would need to ignore :p the way you explained the confidence variable confused me a little at first, but after reading it a few times, i understood it, setting it to .1 would show translations that it was 100% sure of being the correct language, with everything spelt correctly etc, but setting it lower would show a result in the event of typo's, common words etc etc, so now its just a case of finding a happy middle ground where I get the max number of translations, without it being too aggressive and triggering googles ban/block sensors. can the confidence level in the script be set to more than 3 digits or is there a limit to how finely it can be tuned/tweaked?

ok, loaded it, the only issues ive had are when people put .... in sentences or write two sentences in one line, it only translates the first part

Cheers, loaded it, will see how it goes, I did a lil digging and it took them 6/7 days to ban/block me, hopefully my ISP lets me keep my new IP long enough to properly test this new version.

I unloaded the script last night, I just did the captcha, reloaded the script and used bs say to send some foreign text 'Un estudiante muerto por la explosión de dos bombas en un instituto de Italia' still no translation, but if i go to google translate manually, I can translate it without captcha's etc, so dont know if a lil tweak will fix it or not. I could just reboot my router and get a new IP, but I will leave that for now in case you need me to do more testing.
@FordLawnmower is this script still working? ive been using it for a couple of months without too many probs, then about 48hrs ago it stopped working, is anyone else having probs or is it just me?
this would probably be the app you need for the android http://www.growlforwindows.com/gfw/forwarders/notifymyandroid FordLawnmower would probly need to rewrite/tweak the script for it tho, still no luck on the blackberry front, but i was thinking if you could maybe send the highlights by msn/windows live/gtalk, that would work for me, i could just set up a new account on my phone just for 'important' highlights
is there any way to use this on blackberry or is there a similair script for blackberry? from what i've read there's a prowl version for androids, but havn't found one for blackberry yet
