Per suggestion of a fellow FPVC member phreakin I decided to build a crab. Have only flown a few packs so far and it feels like I'm going ludicrous speed compared to my shrike racer build. This build, like most all other builds (at least the builds that I do...) presented its own unique challenge in mounting/sizing the stack. Apparently there is an additional hardware kit that you can purchase along w/ the crab for a few bucks more, but alas, they were sold out. So, I was able to retrofit a combination of nylon standoffs/nuts with the super squishy 7mm anti-vibration rubber/metal standoffs to get the stack up to the correct height. Would love to be able to modify the camera mount carbon for smaller camera builds like the mini and micro. As you can see in the photos there is a decently sized gap and the entire stack has ample space between the components. However, there is an actual benefit from having extra space in between the stack layers. Cooling. The most often overlooked factor in builds and likely the result of many premature failures.

Looking good! You should be able to use the stock Runcam Swift Mini bracket to mount your camera, I added the hole in the top specifically for that. That'll get rid of the hot glue solution.

Also, if you still need a 30.5mm hardware kit, DM me and I'll send you one directly.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
