After two FCs, three sets of motors, and 4 teardowns, I finally I figured out where the phantom noise was coming from with this frame ! :D :D :D
I needed to isolate the FC from the VTX. This allows the fc snug to be snug, but still tighten down the vtx.
I bent two shafts from a crash last session, so i put the 1408s back on. It needs a tune, but no more flyaways!
Its fun, but maybe the thrust in this situation isnt worth the weight.
if i swap motors, leds will make a return and maybe ill clean the frame :P

When you say "isolate the vtx from the FC" are you talking about physically, or electronically? I read that you were tightening them down, which makes me think you are talking about mounting hardware. You said you found where the noise was coming from, and I assumed you meant electrical noise in your video feed. Is that correct? If so, and you isolated the vTx from the FC, what did you do? I was looking for copper shielding, or an LC filter, but I didn't see anything outside the standard capacitor (btw, I like your heat shrink work on the cap). Did you twist the wires?

mechanical noise. I was getting crazy vibrations because of my stack mounting. a single nut on the top meant the entire stack was compressed. I put a nut between the fc and vtx so the fc can stay floaty, while the vtx can be tightened down. I did not twist the wires on the cap... they go straight across the top of the cap and down the side to give me the room i needed to stuff it between the top and bottom decks.

I was asking if you twisted the wires on the vTx, I worded that poorly, wasn't supposed to be about the cap >.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
