AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. That's a really cool quad. I never thought about using those double axii antennas for DJI. If you want them to be most effective, make sure you bend them at 90 degrees from each other and roughly 45 degrees from the horizon, depending on average forward flight angle. Based on the photos, you'll have a null zone directly behind the quad, so you'll minimize signal strength as you fly away from yourself. Nice work.
Hey, Thanks for the comment, I am trying those angles now. They are mounted so far back I had to use structural zip ties to keep them in place.. good signal though.
The new antenna angle looks great!
