Stealth 7 GTO

This is a design exercise for me to create a lightweight long range touring rig. Lightweight is quieter and that meant replacing the standard GoPro camera with a Runcam Split 2 saved a lot of weight and still allows for HD footage on covert missions. Employing seven inch props seem to be a good compromise between performance and endurance and lend a cartoonish proportion of pod to prop. The lightest, flimsiest 7 inch frame I could find would have to make do with this concept. I took one of my Stealth canopies that didn't look right on a Proton race quad and fit it up to the Sloss' 7 frame. The canopy fit was almost perfect! A little modification to refine the mounting position, fix the FPV/HD camera angle to 30 degrees and creation of the first ever pierced antenna canopy design to accomodate the FrSky R9 long range telemetry receiver produce a stunning revolutionary addition to the world of long range. Welcome to FPV Touring! See if you are interesting in purchasing a custom canopy for your long range or race quad.

Hey I currently have the same Flight Controller and ESC that you used for this build. This is my first ever drone, and I am stuck at how to connect these two together with powering and communication cables. Could you possible upload a photo of that part of your drone or explain how you wired up the ESC and Flight Controller. Thanks!

Hey can i ask you why you chose to go with the samguk motors? I know they are cheap but there are so many better motors out there now for the price... Im just asking because i had 3 out of 5 show up DOA on my first order of them and when i had those replaced another 3 out of the 5 had rough bearing within 2 weeks of light flying and a few grassy tumbles on landing... have they improved the build qulaity at all on the 1750kv versions?

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
