Building a 3 inch that carries an HD Cam with Style and Ease.

08/28/18 - I began building this and made some really pretty joints on the motor wires. Ran into an issue with the ESC battery wire pads. Apparently solder can seep through the positive pad and make a bubble on the bottom side of the ESC. This made a huge solder bubble which I had to clean. It resulted in some capacitors being bridged. I had to undo some of my beautiful motor joints to flip the motor and now they're all ugly. SIGH.

8/30\18 - I was able to clean the bubble off with a solder sucker but the caps are still bridged. I did a power test and all motors sounded off. I cleaned up all joints and connected my flight controller. Betaflight was setup and motor order changed. I soldered in the VTX and cam. I also put an X6B diversity receiver in this build so I have no failsafe fears. Added some cyclone props and ziptied the Cyclops HD cam to the top with a square whoop battery. Ready to maiden!

9/1/18 I attempted to maiden and motor 4 seems to have an issue where the motor spins intermittently. The coils seem to be smushed together?

09/19/18 - Forget those Helifar Motors. I had a spare BH1407 and ordered 3 more from Underground FPV during their Labor Day Sale at $12ea. I soldered them in and put thw quad back together. Motor test on the bench worked and it is ready to maiden with HD recording.

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
