My Fitness Coach
Pros: encouraging, positive feedback, getting to choose the length of workout.
Cons: not challenging, not very interactive, WAY too many Rest periods.
I'm lucky that I decided to go on Ebay to buy this, and was able to buy it brand new for $5. I wouldn't have wanted to spend more on it!
This game would probably be good for a beginner. I have Wii Fit, and that was great after I had my second baby as a transition back into exercise, but I bored with it quickly, and wasn't very challenged. Then I got Gold's Gym Cardio, which still is a favourite and can get me sweating in no time. Then came EA Sports Active, which kicked my butt, and really got me seeing results. (I would do Active, Gold's Gym, Yoga, Active, Gold's Gym Mon-Fri, and take the weekends off)
Then I bought My Fitness Coach. While the fact remains that it really is like a video workout collection rather than a game, I was okay with that aspect.
I'm not impressed with the low-intensity of the exercises. Half of your workout is "rest periods" What is the point of that? I haven't broken a sweat yet with it, and doubt I will. I've tried to increase the difficulty, but

Wii MotionPlus

I have two of these and I use it solely for Wii Sports Resort. They do make a difference in terms of gameplay sensitivity and realism. It is quite expensive. However, I think back a few years ago when I found the Nunchuck accessory to be expensive as well. Now I have 4 Nunchucks and my family uses it for better gameplay.

I guess the value of the Wii MotionPlus Accessory will go up when more Wii games are released that uses it. We'll just have to wait and see.

Tritton Technologies Best Buy Exclusive Stereo Gaming Headset for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Mac/Windows

I bought these yesterday and have noticed a major improvement in my gameplay. I haven't used Turtle Beaches or anything else so I can't compare but I do have a suggestion for anyone who plans to use these with an HDMI cable for your xbox and the people who have complained. If you are using an HDMI cable then your TV obviously has an audio out jack. Hook the cable up to that instead of your xbox and the sound quality is actually better because your tv filters it. This saves you from buying the HD Audio dongle and works just the same plus you can do that and change the source and get audio from whatever source you want.

Resident Evil 4

I first played RE4 on the PS2 and instantly fell in love with the game. I played it for hours on end. After buying my PS3 and a nice HDTV, the game didn't look right on the HDTV. As we also had a Wii, I decided to buy RE4 Wii edition. I thought it couldn't get any better. I was wrong. RE4 Wii edition is great. I really like the fact that it is more interactive (i.e. swing the Wii mote = swing the knife). I have now since played it for hours on end again. This game has a great storyline, good graphics (for a pre-PS3 game), good lenght, and the fun can keep going after you beat the game. From an owner of RE5 on the PS3, I can tell you that RE4 is still my favorite RE game. If you are trying to decide whether to buy this or not, trust me, it will not disappoint you.

New Super Mario Bros

Anyone who had a SNES when they were a kid knows how this game is played. You collect the coins, fight the enemies and rescue the princess. If you've heard of the game, you know how its played. Everything is good overall when it comes to this game. Its fun to play, exciting and you can play with a friend...or 3.

Let's talk about the major flaw in this game. The creators would be fooling themselves if they thought a 4 player co-op was a good idea. True, you can add friends and other players whenever you want. Everyone gets 5up to start and you guys travel the level together. The game is EXTREMELY difficult to play with one other person let alone 3. With two people, you travel the level together; hop up platforms and not get crushed by objects. If one of you gets separated however, you're out of luck. The screen does not expand to show both characters if everyone ends up being very far apart. And you guessed it, without seeing the other character, you're character is going to die.

Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles - Nintendo Wii

Face your inner demon, that was my first thought when I played this game as Leon S. Kennedy. You start in the year 2002 with your partner, Krauser, from Resident Evil 4 when he was still your partner, in South America. You uncover the untold story that fills in the missing pieces along with Claire Redfield in Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica. Team up with Leon in Resident Evil 2 and stay alive with Sherry. Team up with Steve in Code Veronica and find Claire's missing brother, Chris Redfield in both flash backs in the game. Face your inner demon, and relive the remake rail shooter's game 'Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles' and find what happens with the untold story.

Challenge: The challenge of this game isn’t bad, really. You can replay a mission and the challenge changes depending if your fooling around or not, but i've died a few times on the boss and trying to reload the shotgun. The challenge of this game is more like You Will Not Survive for me, but the real challenge

New Super Mario Bros

I loved the original Nintendo Super Mario Brothers game and was excited to see this coming out for the WII. My six year old loves the WII but he mostly plays games like Melee that I am NOT interested in playing or really even watching. I wanted more games that he and I could play together since he is still at an age where he wants my attention and I know that won't last forever. We purchased this game last weekend and have been having a blast. You can have up to four players (two toads, Mario, and Luigi) and you can play cooperatively or not as you like. My son picked up the controls readily and is a far greater player than I am but I can hold my own since it is similar to the original and I was an expert at that in my day. We play together as a team and are making our way through the levels with great glee and much laughter. I love the familiarity of this game, it is very reminiscent of the original with some great new ideas, levels, and features. We especially love getting helicopter

New Super Mario Bros

SUPER MARIO BROS. keeps on giving. The game itself brings back memories but that is not why we like it. Our son loved Mario Bros from the first Nintendo through every Nintendo since and has beaten every game he played. This is unique since he has full blown Autism and can't read or write. He beat typical peers regularly in games which gave him allot of status esp. as he got older. But now we can all play together. Our son, now an adult, is very competitive; but we as retirees, like to sit back and enjoy. This is the best of both worlds. We can compete [FREE FOR ALL, COIN BATTLE] or we can work together [COOPERATIVE PLAY) to help each other with a segment. Since you can add or drop players throughout the game this is great for those, like me, who like to play a little while but not a whole lot. Since our son is familiar with the game from past systems and titles, he immediately took the lead allot. However, my husband now has more time and is more competitive, so after

Call of Duty: World at War

I bought this for my boyfriend last Christmas and he played it only a couple of times and has since given it to a friend. We have found out that this game is far better graphic and gaming wise on the PS3.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex

The last time I played a first person shooter I was a sophomore in college. I enjoyed the games back then, but they fell off the radar as I graduated. I purchased a Wii a year ago in an attempt to get back into gaming, but trying not to take it too serious (the reason for the Wii). My games to this point were SSB, Mario Kart, and Golf. Anyways, the reason is to set this review up from a non FSP experienced person. This game is so much fun! The controls take about 2 hours to get used to, and as the missions get harder you learn to use them more efficiently. I have only played the 1 player game at this point. Understand, the only thing you do in this game is shoot people and all you hear are guns shooting. But each mission introduces something new and you have to figure out how to beat the enemy. I only have a tube TV but the graphics look great. I am sure its worse than HD, but most of the time I don't have time to sit and stare at the graphics. I think surround sound and a wide

Harvest Moon: Animal Parade

After several days playing the new harvest moon wii title, I'm not disappointed. The graphics & overall visual experience is very similar to ToT. The story is also similar in set up, with bell quests instead of rainbow recipes. There is a harvest sprite that follows you around as a little ball of light that trails after you everywhere you go. I personally found this annoying, but got used to it eventually. The sprite can be asked questions and it's easier to keep track of quests and requests from characters in this new version that in ToT. The farming is also a bit different, buying seeds in increments of one instead of nine. Energy levels are good, lasting long enough to do some planting, etc. before wearing out. There is also a hot spring right on your land, although it's the red bell quest that must be completed before it's operational. This should prove to be another wonderful game that will offer endless play time. My preschooler loves to watch & play a little, too ... it's

Bottom Line: Mario games are just great and this one doesn't disappoint at all! Graphics are good, multiplayer is a blast, levels are fun and entertaining, and the music is very nostalgic. Obviously if your a Mario fan this is a must have. The only thing I didn't like was that you can run into the other players. At one point my friend kept messing up and knocking me into the lava! I wanted to reach over and knock him with one to the chin but eventually we got used to it and accepted the fact that it is part of the game.

I want it to be easier for gamers to be able to enjoy games on their terms not just the games terms set at final development. People should be able to do as they dsire with their games at their own risk as long as they are doing this with their own stuff and nobody else's things.

Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution III
+ 0 likes
Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution III is the first Naruto game on the Wii that features characters from the Shippuden section of the Naruto Anime/Manga. The game contains more than 35 characters from this story arc and should definitely please most people with the selection of characters. Beyond the characters included the game storyline goes through the Akatsuki capturing Gaara arc of Shippuden which is essentially the first 30 or so episodes of Shippuden (or in the manga the volumes 28-31, Manga chapters 245-280). The game brings to life the story by (only includes English audio) incorporating the English voice actors from the show and either stating the exact same lines as we heard them in the anime, or slight modifications and alterations to the places where some of the conversations or fights took place. Actually all but one fight actually occurred. The story in the game is pretty faithful to the manga/anime so it should please people who like to play through the actual

Wii Nerf Sports Resort Sword Duel Play
Fresh out of the box, these make for a few minutes of fun while you take apart your controller and attach the connectors and foam blades.

As soon as you start Wii Sports Resort you will notice the glaring design flaw: the controller sensor doesn't work through the blade attachment. In order to press A and start anything, you have to detach the blade. Constantly attaching and reattaching is a little hassle that becomes aggravating.

The next problem is that any two player action in front of a single screen is nearly impossible. The blades are long enough that a side stroke can easily hit your second player, and any forward swing can reach the tv.

Within 10 minutes we stopped using the blades at all, and returned them for a refund ASAP.

EA Sports Active: More Workouts
I admit, I was a little skeptical when I heard EA Sports was putting out a sequel to their original EA Sports Active so quickly. I've seen far too many companies enjoy success with a product and then rush out one substandard title after another in order to cash in. I'm happy to say that EA Sports Active: More Workouts doesn't rest on the laurels of its predecessor, but adds an impressive amount of new and original exercises and fitness activities. They've also added new tools for managing your weight loss and fitness goals. Finally, they've added a well-thought-out 6-week workout program which rivals any program you'd pay much more money for at the gym. You technically don't need the original EA Sports Active disc to play this game, although you do need the special accessories that came with it: the Leg Strap for the nunchuk and the Resistance Band. Neither are included in this game, so you'll either need to purchase the original or buy the accessories separately with the EA Sports Active

Black Wii Remote with Black Wii MotionPlus Bundle
+ 0 likes
It took them long enough, but Nintendo has finally come over to the dark side! Holding this black Wiimote fills one with the sense that one can conquer any video game with a single swing towards the Wii Sensor Bar. A great multitude of foes fall frequently in the wake of this controller's dark power. As soon as I opened the package, my Wii games started rattling and shaking as each game tried to move itself behind another. They recognized that they were no match for the black Wiimote. Suddenly, a three star rating in Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel was an easy feat. 241 stars in Super Mario Galaxy? No problem! Even my guitar playing in Guitar Hero 5 improved. The addition of the Wii MotionPlus accessory is an added benefit, but it's really more about the prestige that comes with owning your very own midnight black controller. It goes without saying that the Wii Nunchuk Controller - Black is a necessary accompaniment and proves to be a worthy companion to the black Wiimote. Get them

Perfect Shot for Wii
This is a decent product that is well made and sturdy. I bought two of them when House of the Dead came out and in all honesty I was pretty disappointed overall. I didn't have any latency issues etc but the gun isn't even close to accurate if you hold it out in front and look down the sight line. The shot will hit the screen several inches below where you are aiming which makes it pretty worthless overall. As such accurate shots can be a problem to obtain. This isn't a defect but a design flaw since accuracy is perfect when using the Wiimote alone, its due to the angle the Wiimote sits once popped into the gun. Other than that it is a good product and I suppose it doesn't matter much if you shoot from the hip so to speak. I kept this review short since there are tons of reviews here already and this is about all I could think to add that people may want to know.
