I was hoping to have this touch unit! I ordered it on September 16, and it showed IN STOCK. I was shipping it to my husband's hotel in the US because we live in Canada, so it HAD to arrive by Sept 27. It showed a delivery estimate of Sept 26, and I called customer service every day from the 18th to the 24th to make sure the order was being processed and shipped as scheduled. On the 23rd I was told it was packaged and on a truck. I called again on the 24th because it hadn't been updated in my account as shipped, and was told that Amazon is in fact out of stock, and hadn't had any in since my order was received! When they went back in the system and placed an order to check shipping time, it showed a delivery of Nov 1!!! I was assured by a supervisor that they would look into the anticipated stock and when I would receive it, and I would get a personal email in 24 hours. I have not yet received that email, 5 days later. SO DISAPPOINTED. Had I ordered right from Apple, I would have

Good Luck getting your's!
The only reason I gave this review 2 stars is ipod touch is well worth 5 stars just not Amazon's service and shipping!
I ordered my16g on Sept 10th.. for Delivery on the 23 rd.. I was very happy when I received a package from Amazon on the 20th. Much to my dismay they shipped me the 8g version,
I called support that day to report the problem.. I have no idea what country my support call went to.. Maybe outer space, I was told they would ship the 16g Ipod out right away!!
The next day I checked my account...NO RECORD could be found so I sent an email to support..
Support then told me it would be another 8-9 days prior to shipping the right ipod, back to the end of the line Again!
To add insult to injury the price dropped by $10.. When asked, Amazon refused to honor the new lower price.. told me I would have to cancel my order and re-order..
The new ipod was to be delivered Oct 2-3 via regular shipping... still no record of shipping on the 29th..
Good

Well, before I purchased the Frame, I read as many reviews as I could. Still, I took a chance. I wanted to use it for both Videos and Photographs.
Now, most of the Reviewers are on the money on this one. It depends on how you're going to use the Frame and if you're lucky enough to have the correct Video format on your camera/recording device.
PHOTOGRAPHS:
1. Does a great job of Displaying, Fading, Zooming, Pausing, and allowing control of your "Stills".
2. The Display Quality is Excellent.
VIDEOS: Here's the rub, as follows:
1. Some AVI and some MOV will play. Mostly those taken with a digital camera will work, but not always. I tried some from a top Olympus camera, and they played out of sync with the audio and video.
2. If you perform any Editing on your Videos, they usually will not play.
3. If you converted from one Format to another, such as WMV to MOV or AVI, they will not play.
4. I tried two Webcams, and those videos, in correct format or converted, would not play.

This printer has all the nice functions one would expect in a printer of this type. However, that is all I can say from a positive perspective. Our first unit arrived nearly a year ago. It kept freezing up spontaneously, mid-fax, mid-copy, middle of the night, anytime. After six months, it was becoming unbearable, so after MUCH tech support phone time, HP finally replaced it with a REFURBISHED model. What a mistake! This one, the ink levels don't work at all, the paper jams contantly, the fax outgoing function freezes all the time, I could go on and on. After 11 months, unending hours of tech support, and endless frustrations, I'm on Amazon looking for a better model. Don't buy this printer, you can do better. We also have a 3200 model (no fax), and it is a pleasure. Keep shopping.

The new Apple iPod touch 32 GB (2nd Generation) has a few improvements over the first generation Apple iPod touch 32 GB. Overall, the improvements make it more attractive to new owners than to existing ones looking to upgrade. I will explain why I chose it, and ultimately whether the changes are enough for you is bound to be subjective.
Apple's 32GB iPod Touch is still the largest you can buy. The Apple iPod touch 8 GB (2nd Generation) model is priced so low that it is very attractive as an entry level unit. So from that perspective, the 16 GB model is kind of the ugly duckling since it's not much less than the 32 GB model. If you just need the WiFi browsing, the 8 GB model will meet those needs. If you want to put a decent amount of music and video on it, the 32 GB model is the way to go. I would recommend those who are considering the 16 GB model to step up to the 32 GB model if at all possible.
The unit finally has volume controls, and even adds a few features that were surprising

My 5th Gen ipod video has a screen thats going out, so I've been looking to get a new ipod for a while. Knowing that Apple comes out with new iPods each year at back-to-school time, I waited a few months and was pleasantly surprised when they decided to lower the price.
I've had this thing for about a week now and I can't put it down. Not only is it a GREAT music player, the screen is amazing and games and videos look incredible. I have converted many TV shows that I can now take on the road with me, and watching them on this screen is pretty enjoyable since it's so much larger than my 5th gen ipod video.
Not only is it a great music and video player, I LOVE the fact that it is like an ultra mobile internet browser. I have internet on my cell phone too, but not with the capabilities the ipod touch has. Although it's not exactly like a PC, you can view nearly every website out there, and I expect Flash to be included in a future update which will really put the internet at your fingertips.

(Based on a few minutes of experimentation.)
Cool idea. Not sure if it's ready for prime time, especially for my target application: the non-tech-savvy, poor-fine-dexterity in-laws.
The one really big gotcha: it copies the photos, but does not delete them from the card after copying them. So what do you do when your card fills up? You could plug the card or camera into a computer and delete pictures, but wasn't the point to avoid that? You could wipe the card using the camera's UI, but are you sure you've copied all of the pictures? (Besides, what if the reason you're doing it is that you've run out of space, and are away from home so you can't copy those last few pictures?) My whole goal is to make the copy process be almost invisible, so that you just don't have to mess around with it... fail.
Range seems quite limited. Connection was iffy from my desk, perhaps 20 feet and a couple of walls from the router. (My PDA connects fine from here.) Since there's no UI on the camera,

I returned my Itouch because it doesn't work with the boomboxes that I have in my house. It's a really neat device, but if you have invested in accessories, then this new version of Itouch may not work with them.
I lost my 30 GB Ipod classic (which is why I purchased this new Itouch 2G), and will buy a replacement on Ebay instead of keeping the Itouch.
There have also been some complaints about not being able to connect to wireless. We use WEP, and I didn't have a problem connecting to my router. It was nice to have the wireless access at the house, but I still have a desktop and laptop. What the Itouch really needs is the 3g connectivity via cellular and a GPS for the mapping.
As I've said, it's a really neat device. But I'm not going to buy an entire new accessory set to meet it's needs. Too bad Apple didn't recognize this.
If you don't have any accessories yet, then go for it.

I've been an Ipod user for the last 4 1/2 years, starting with the 20gb 4th generation and the moving up to the 80gb Classic. I had been eyeing the Ipod Touch for the last year now, waiting for the 2nd generation version to come out, and now that I've bought one, I have to say, this is one of the best products I've ever used!
When you see the Touch for the first time, especially the 32gb version, you'll marvel at how thin the device actually is. It's actually thinner than the iPhone and lighter than my old 80gb Classic. The Ipod Touch fits my hand perfectly, and I've got big hands and long E.T. fingers (not that long). The build quality looks to be up to snuff although I haven't, and don't intend, to drop it (its bound to happen).
The external volume control, which only comes with the 2nd generation version, is a great thing to have when working out or listening to music. You can put the Touch to sleep, the screen will turn off and it will still play music, which is perfect for saving

I used to have the 2nd gen iPod with the four buttons going across the top and then it finally failed after 4 years. I like the look and feel of the touch so I decided to purchase one of the 16gb models. I've had nothing but trouble since. You can google the problems I've had as well because they are well documented. Some of the following are
1. Album Art Cover work is associated with the wrong artist on the Touch but not on iTunes
2. Random skipping of songs and artists
3. Syncing problems, iTunes wants to sync the iPhone when you connect the iTouch, it is very hit or miss.
4. The landscape takes too long to rotate or doesn't do it at all
I would rate lower but the video player is amazing. I take public transportation and load tv series episodes and I just can't get over the video quality

One year ago I purchased the 16GB original iPod Touch. At that time, I found that even though it had some flaws, the over-all package made it one of the best iPods available. Now, one year later, Apple has released the next generation Touch. I've now had it for a few days, and here's what I found: the second gen iPod Touch is a marked improvement over the the first gen, and comes even closer to perfection. Keeping this in mind, this review will show one big, and a number of smaller shortcomings. It may also be difficult to justify upgrading from the 1st to 2nd gen unless you simply must have one of the few hardware improvements, and can live with the fact that you may have to re-purchase some of your accessories.
Size and Dimensions
The iPod Touch now sports a more rounded design on the back, making it look slightly thinner and more like the iPhone than the original did (it is not really thinner than it's predecessor, just looks that way). Unfortunately, the back plate is still made from

Over the years I have purchased various iPods and have accumulated a few USB and firewire power supplies. My "old" first gen iPod Touch could be charged with any of those old USB or firewire power supplies.
However, the second gen iPod Touch cannot be charged with the firewire power supply. You need the USB one. Also, from what I read elsewhere, some older off-brand docking units will not charge the second gen iPod Touch, presumably because they are based on the firewire spec. Playback through these docks still works, though.
The good news is that all of the improvements and overall performance of the second gen iPod Touch far outweigh the minor setback of not being able to charge via firewire. The USB adapter that comes with it works just fine.

I have to hand it to Apple -- the iTouch is a great device. In addition to playing music, the Wi-Fi internet looks great, and the 3.5 inch screen delivers crystal-clear videos. I have an extensive music collection, but the 8GB model holds more than enough for me at any given time. I mostly use it while working out, and I was concerned that it would be harder to navigate than a Nano or that I might damage the touch screen; fortunately, I had no such issues.
I purchased a 1st Generation iPod Touch a few months ago, and I was hesitant about upgrading to the 2nd. There are no new earth-shattering changes or additions, but it is certainly an improved model. I had three problems with the 1st Gen that drove me crazy; thankfully, two of which have been addressed in the 2nd Gen:
1) An external volume button. Raising or lowering the volume on the 1st Gen required shifting the iTouch upright and then moving the bar across the screen. Doing that while running is almost impossible.
2) An external

This most recent model of the Touch 8GB is currently priced at a negligible premium to the previous model even though, unlike the original Touch, this one comes with an onboard speaker. True, not impressive audio but adequate to get you by in the pinch or to make monitoring what's on your iPod that much easier. The built-in speaker plus the prospect of using the gizmo to download and play tunes during a live call-in radio show are what drew me to the Touch 2nd generation.
I never appreciated how small, thin and light the item is until I had it in hand. Now that I have it, I'm suddenly aware that I've in effect purchased an entire Apple computer(!) --and for little more than a couple hundred bucks! The internet, e-mail, map locator, applications galore and, of course, gaming are in your shirt pocket. And let's not forget the movies, videos, and photos not to mention podcasts, dictionaries, stock quotes, social networking, and on and on. My wife, who has a Treo, readily and intuitively

One would think that wifi uploads from your camera at home would be a very conveniente thing to do. You relax, power on your mac and camera and let them do their thing while you watch TV or read a book or else. In addition you'll never explain to your tech-afraid friends to take out the sd-card, put it in a card-reader, work with the mac to get those pictures uploaded and so forth. So, bottom line at first sight: great gadget. Now then comes the snag: you need to have an online account to setup you eye-fi card. Well, what is this? Since when do I need an online account where all my settings, also my wifi-router settings and pwd, are stored? There is no (none, nile, niente) reason to do so other than for Eye-fi Inc. to collect user and user data... But for what reason? My bottom line is - I'm not happy and do not suggest to buy this product, even if it's a good idea and so forth. But this vendor is too curious and is pulling my leg her... SO, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU VALUE YOUR P

This thing is flat out amazing. Previously my PSP was my most dense piece of impressive technology. My wife's Touch blows it away. Of course it is a great iPod (although I think the click-wheel might be a little better for navigating), but it also is great for flashcards for the kids, little games, email and internet. Simply amazing. It was worth every penny for us and was a nice replacement for our 2nd gen 10gb ipod which failed us after 5 years.
I am pretty sure we have already downloaded $20 worth of apps. I am embarrassed to be gushing - but this is a really impressive little device.
