I purchased this camcorder from a 3rd party seller on Amazon and was amazed at the lightening fast shipping! This was my first camcorder as up until now I hadn't seen a need for them.
Wow, great camcorder! Color is absolutely beautiful (wine) and size is smaller than a can of Pepsi and really made to fold into your hands (I have small hands). I loved the flash drive and recording was pretty simple, although I did read the manual pretty thoroughly.
I was a bit unimpressed by the lens cover--when the unit powered on, I didn't get that nice "powered" movement I'm used to with my digital cameras. I'm not sure if it's a camcorder thing or just due to the low price of the FS100, Canon cut corners to save a few $$$. That was only a small thing.
The features on the camera was cool. I used another reviewer's advice on recording in low light by setting the TV differently. It slowed down movement, but I did get a higher light. Not sure if this would have been irritating in the future.

Beware of the wrong item being shipped. I ordered the Garmin 260W and both time the box said 260W but the product inside is actually the 200W. It will not say the steet names which is the whole reason I upgraded to the 260 from the 200. If you decide to buy make sure they ship the right item. This will be my second return, hopefully they will ship the right thing next time.

This was great for our recent vacation. The size is so convenient. We were also interested in automatic adjustment for the sun and it performed wonderfully. We have only used it for a short period but so far it is what we wanted.

We did a bunch of research before buying this TV, and to be honest, the eco-tv power-saving features were the factor that closed the deal for us. I figured that we'd trade a little picture quality for the savings in power, but that it would be worth it in the end.
I was wrong! The picture quality is terrific, even with the power-saving mode turned on. The main difference is that without the power-saving mode on, the set is extremely bright. With the power-saving mode on, the set has a normal brightness level. As far as I can tell, the power-saving picture is at least as good as the regular picture on any similarly priced LCD that I was able to see.
I use the set for gaming (xbox 360), and have been very pleased with the performance so far. I haven't used the speakers, so I can't comment on them.
The pricing seemed very reasonable to me, and the TV works great. Save money, great picture, help the planet-- why not? I'd buy it again in an instant.

I purchased this laptop for my mother. I've been a Toshiba fan for years. They were recommended to me by a friend who had several and loved them. I purchased one approximately four years ago. I've referred to it as "bullet proof" because all I've done is use it. Never had to do a complete software reinstall that seems to be a frequent Dell requirement. I don't know anything about Toshiba tech support - I've never had to call them. When my mother needed a laptop, she tried and returned several. The Dell was atrocious - the computer and their tech support. I suggested this Toshiba and so far it seems consistent with my experience. It's fast, has a crisp screen, great wireless capability, and so far completely reliable. I can't think of a single negative thing to write.

I have never taken time to write a review before, but after getting this TV I had to. I have shopped TVs for 2 months before buying this and I'm glad I did. The picture is amazing. I hooked it up to my digital cable box that is not HDTV and thought Wow great picture, but when I played a DVD on my 1080 upconvert player through HDMI I was speechless. Its like looking trough a window. The sound is good from TV but through a tuner its incredible. As a matter of fact I just ordered a new 7.1 tuner to really do it justice. In my opinion it is a great TV at a great price. And with a name like Philips you know it is a quality product with outstanding support. Several years ago I had a Philips TV stop working after only 2 months. I called the 800 number and they had it picked up the next day. As it turned out, even though it was hit by lightning, they covered parts and labor 100% - even overnighted parts and I had the set back in 3 days. Made a believer out of me - (also taught me to make sure surge

I'm not very technical in nature so i won't get into that. What I will say is after doing my research I chose this TV and went and looked at it a best buy and I was sold. I have had the 50" Pioneer plasma for over a year and it's beautiful however, if an LCD was going to convert me, this would be one of them. More importantly, I would like to mention the experience of buying through AMAZON. I was sceptical paying all this money for a TV through the mail but I saved about $400 (including tax) from the local BB so I thought I would give it a try. In my case, when the TV arrived, the delivery guy brings it inside, opens the top half of the box, hooks it up to a scource to ensure it works and then left. Way more than expected. Now for the icing on the cake. I recently learned about AMAZON's post-order price guarentee. They will refund any reduction in price for 30 days after shipment and let me tell you, in my case it was like watching the stock market (4 price changes in a day). Anyway,

I was very impressed with this frame's style, picture quality and features. The selling point, however, was the fact that it comes equipped with an HDMI output that can connect to an HDTV for high definition viewing of digital photos. After making the necessary connections from the frame to the TV, the picture appeared jittery on my Sony Wega HDTV. What's that line again? Sony HDNA? Surely, this must be a manufacturing defect, so I returned the frame in exchange for another, only to experience the same problem with the replacement. Having contacted Sony support, tested the connection with TWO HDMI cables, and hooking up my MacBook Pro to the HDMI input on my Sony Wega, I know the problem is not with the cable or the TV. Be advised, you may not get what you're hoping to get by connecting this frame to your HDTV. If you're only going to use it as a photo frame, it's a wonderful product. Also, it's fairly disconcerting to know that NO site reviews out there made any mention of this defect

As with most electronics you get what you pay for. I did a lot a research for a good sized HDTV and the review consensus is that this new line of Samsung TV's have a better picture than the Sony's. I would have to agree (of course because I own a Samsung now). I have a PS3 hooked up for blu-ray and DirecTV for hidef satellite. Yes the picture can appear 'grainy' depending on the source and the quality of the original HD picture but with the correct settings you can hardly notice. Blu-ray planet earth even has a few spots where the picture quality wasn't as great as the other 96% of the show and if you nit pick you can see some pixelation. The AMP 120hz setting, I found, really does help when a mountain peak is moving across the screen. Use the 'demo' mode to see the difference when a large stationary object is moving across the screen.
You need to calibrate the picture for the source you're using to get the 'great' picture. There's a 1260+ post thread on the AVS forums dedicated

This is a nifty little computer, but if you plan to use Windows XP on it, forget about it. The tech data indicates that it is easy to convert from Linux to XP...which it is. But, the miniscule 4GB F drive is totally taken up with Windows applications so the computer cannot function due to lack of space on this drive. I spoke to am Asus tech specialist, and there was no way he could make the computer work due to these limitations on the F drive. Of course there are another 16 GB on the C drive, but they are meaningless for functionality.
Don't buy this rip-off if you want to use XP.

I got tired of listening to my Mac mini's loud external drive. This thing is quiet, full of storage, has a beautiful screen and is overall amazing. Just amazing. Every single person who walks in to my office comes over to stare at it. They usually think it's just a "really nice monitor." Then I tell them, "No, that's the whole computer." Then they go back to their little Dell laptops and cry.

The 1st electronic gift my user manual avoiding, tech phobic wife not only uses, but raves about. There was close to joy in her voice when telling me about finding a shorter route, bypassing traffic jams, and even taking a more scenic route.
Several product rating website says there are other GPSs as good or better (although the 4250 is highly rated), but after seeing my wife's satisfaction I'm very glad I selected this one.

The TV is amazing. I looks like you're peaking through a window. It's more than the resolution (which is perfect), it is the depth of color and the motion. It is so real it takes a little time to get used to (and you can remove the effect if it bothers you), but it will blow friends and family away (which is always nice).
The sound is fine (if you get the 750 series it has a built-in woofer), the remote isn't perfect, but its no where near as bad as some of the reviews would lead you to believe.
It also handles standard definition TV very well (some LCDs don't look so hot). Its probably the best TV on the market as of right now, and it isn't overly expensive, if you are struggling to decide, just click BUY NOW, you won't be disappointed.

The Samsung Series 7, 46" HD LCD was easy to connect; I had the TV and home theater system connected in about 10 minutes. Initial TV setup was easy and intuitive. The menu items and submenu items are intuitive. The HD picture quality is absolutely awesome. I have not seen any of the flaws attributed to previous generations of LCD TVs, e.g., blurred response to action scenes. The remote selections are intuitive. In particular, it has a tools menu that contains most of the selections that you would use on a regular basis. The user's manual is very comprehensive, explaining the details of different operating modes. PS: Amazon's "White Glove" delivery service was also great.

Waited to write a review because I wanted the "honeymoon" phase to pass...over a month later and we are still in love with this TV and Amazon! We researched online and in person for a very long time before making our purchase and we couldn't be more thrilled. The picture quality and additional features on this Samsung TV are amazing. Our room is very bright with lots of windows & skylights and we have no problem with glare or picture fade on this unit. Was hesitant to purchase electronics over the internet instead of at a local store, but honestly this is one of the best purchases we have ever made with not a single moment of regret. Amazon shipped the TV very quickly, and the white glove delivery was incredible. They set up the TV in our wall unit, made all the connections so we could check it out before signing for it, and took all the packaging away. The purchase price was lower than the local stores, plus there was no sales tax and no shipping charges. HERE IS THE BEST PART...Amazon

I was replacing my old Sony 42A10 Grand Wega Rear Projection LCD. That's an older set and the black levels were notoriously bad. After some calibration, I was able to get a decent picture out of it. Apparantly this line had been lemons though, as optical engine after optical engine being replaced had failed. Time for a new TV.
I was honestly going to go for a Panasonic Plasma originally. Plasmas are known for great contrast levels. I've seen 30,000:1 for some plasma contrast levels, but LCD's are catching up and Samsung this year brings out an affordable set that's below the popular $2000 budget, and makes it a breeze to use.
Out of the box the color levels aren't bad at all. Grey scale is actually not too far off from being accurate with the 'movie mode' setting, which takes off most artificial effects to the picture which would really make colors pop un-naturally and crush darker shades of black so you lose some minor detail. Of course, I did a calibration for this set based

I bought this computer to replace my wife's Sharp MM20,that was uneconomical to repair due to a damaged screen, and is no longer available new. I searched for a replacement for weeks and bought the EeePC 900 which seemed the best replacement available at a reasonable price. I have waited for a month to learn about the machine prior to writing a review. Had I written my review sooner, it would have had more stars, here is why I reduced the star rating.
Out of the box everything worked, except I had difficulties getting a good connection with my wireless router. I got the connection established, but, it constantly tried to validate my identity. Two calls to tech support, failed to resolve the issue. The best thing I can say about tech support is that you can reach them relatively easily. They are not particularly nice nor competent. They are quick to shift the problem to others, saying we don't deal with that, call your internet provider or other software provider.

I have a one year old HV20 and a 2 month old HF100. First and foremost, I care about video quality, but convenience is also important.
Each year, we go to the Fraser Valley in Colorado - an area surrounded by pine-forest covered peaks. Last year, we took a ton of footage with the HV20. Did the same this year with the HF-100. Three fundamental things about the video quality strike me in comparing similair footage.
1 - the HV20, given any movement at all, still has a slightly better ability to resolve fine detail. In bright indoor shots and in in reasonably but not overly detailed outdoor shots, not sure I can tell the difference. However, the moment I have a backdrop with lots of pine trees on distant hills, there is a very noticable difference. The HV20 simply seems to resolve a lot more of the distant pine detail. The HV20 did (and does) create a "wow" factor with those kind of shots. The HF100 does not. The 100 is not bad, but I lose the ability to marvel at the distant detail. Of

The TV is excellent but I wrote this review to make people aware that CEVA shipping is absolutely rubbish and they are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They kept my TV at their local location for 8 days and marked a note saying that they called the customer and he did not answer and the online tracking says something else totally. But I never received any phone call or VM, and the customer service tells me that they don't know because they are only answering phone - only answering phones ?? what the hell is that ? - and tell me to leave a VM on their system and then no one responds for 2 days.
So if you want to buy this TV buy it from some other place which uses UPS/fedex shipping because through Amazon you don't have a choice but to go through ceva.
