Panasonic Lumix 9.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Silver
This camera is a gem. Its got all the bells and whistles I would want and it was shipped very quickly in excellent condition from the vendor. The website offered a clear description and I got exactly what I expected to get when I got it, barring any future surprises. This is perfection!

Samsung Blu-ray High-Definition Disc Player with 1080p Output
I bought this as a second Blu-ray player for the bedroom so we could watch our movies in bed. We hooked it up and never got a round to watching a movie for about a week.

I was planning to do the update to enable BD-Live, but never got around to it.

My wife was going to watch a movie (The Queen) and she told me it wasn't playing and the display said No Disc. I told her to try a DVD, but the same thing happened. I got home and experienced the same thing with 3 different Blu-ray movies.

I almost tried doing the firmware update, but I was so mad I just told my self that it shouldn't need to be done to enable the player to do what it was sold to do, play movies. This was quite upsetting. I'm just refunding and waiting on a better player.

Pure Digital Flip Video MinoHD Camcorder - Black
I am returning this otherwise amazing gadget. Form factor, video, and software are excellent. Built in audio makes this practically unusable for me. There is no jack for an external mic. I'll buy the next generation if they port a mic jack.

Samsung Blu-ray High-Definition Disc Player with 1080p Output
I was thrilled to find a great deal for a new blue ray player but ended up extremely disappointed with my purchase.

I owned this product for about 4 hours before it stopped working. The firmware update rendered the machine incredibly slow and it refused to play discs faster than one frame per second.

I returned it and got another thinking maybe I had a lemon. So I updated the firmware and the same thing happened.

I contacted Samsung about the issue, and they rudely told me that it was my fault it didn't work because I updated the firmware. At that point it was clear that Samsung customer service reps had no intention of doing anything but blame me for their shabby product's faults. So after my dismal experience with Samsung, I returned the player for a full refund. Now I'm buying a Sony.

Samsung Blu-ray High-Definition Disc Player with 1080p Output
I bought this in August and now three months later it is being repaired. It stops playing in the middle of audio CDs. It will not play some standard DVDs. Also, the unit runs very, very, VERY hot! Burnt my arm as lifted it out of the cabinet.

Pure Digital Flip Video MinoHD Camcorder - Black
Amazon should really consider only allowing those who actually purchase the product to review it.

Contrary to D. Knapp's inaccurate claim of false advertising(do your research), this unit is indeed capable of High Definition video at 1280x720 and it looks quite stunning, more so than I expected. I was satisfied with the original Flip Mino's video and audio quality. This is icing on the cake.

The software seems to be improved over the original and regular Flip devices. I found it to be much snappier too.

My only gripe is low level lighting situations. It would be nice to see an add on infrared light system or a light accessory attachment. I'm sure battery issues might play a role in the decision to leave that option out though.

If you're like me and only drag your real camcorder out on the holidays, or you always seem to miss those Kodak moments with the kids, the Flip Mino HD is for you!

Samsung 52" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
The TV was fine for a couple of days but then yesterday night, I started noticing patches of light on various parts of the display that looked like 'clouds'. It was very noticeable in low-light situations which unfortunately I am in most of the time when watching tv. In the day-time, this issue is less noticeable. I've since contacted both Amazon and Samsung to try to resolve this problem and Samsung is going to send a tech out to take a look at the set to see if they can fix the issue first. It seems like this issue is more of a problem on the 650/750 series from what I researched and this is the reason why I opted to spend more money for the 850 but it's disappointing to have to go through the hassle of either getting this fixed or trying to return the tv, all within a narrow time period. Check CNET-Samsung forums for other users that have the clouding issue.

Sony Blu-ray Disc Player with 1080p Output
This unit does NOT support slow motion play back nor frame by frame advancing. Don't believe me? Don't blame you, the 5 or 6 "official" reviews I checked all fail to mention it. Go to esupport.sony.com, enter the model number, on the left side of the screen select FAQ, in the box enter "slow motion", click on the question to see Sony's answer. I am returning the unit, very disappointing.

Sony Blu-ray Disc Player with 1080p Output
Initially I was put off by the few negative reviews I saw on here and I was planning to get a Panasonic instead... then the local Sony distributor advertised a "special", this player along with 6 Blu-ray movies included.... and I thought, "good way to jump-start my blu-ray collection" because the titles are good.

I am glad that I bought this product.... it does NOT have a "long loading time" even when the default "normal" start is selected... although you can set "quick start" in the menu... then the player does not completely "turn off"... it remains warm and consumes power... and starts up quicker... although this was what I set initially, I found the "normal" start wait to be quite acceptable and soon switched it back to normal.

The crossbar is intuitive and easy to use and I cannot see why anybody would be unhappy about it.

Contrary to what some spec sheets on internet suggest... the product has
TOS link (optical) as well as coax digital output jacks.... although these only work

Samsung 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I really like this TV, actually. But I'm sending it back. It's not for me.

The allure of this TV was the fact that it's a matte-version of the 650... However, I recently found out, it isn't. This is a 120mhz version of the 550. This uses an older processor than the 650. I'm a bit disappointed by that, and the lack of an extra HDMI port. The PQ isn't as stunning as the 650, predominately because of the older processor, not because of the semi-matte finish.

However. Glossy does give you better blacks. This TV has pretty grey-colored blacks, which annoys me. It also suffers from clouding/flashlighting, unlike the 650 I've used.

I did buy this version because I wanted to avoid reflections... I also bought the 650 for my Mom. Her TV is just plain out nicer. The reflections? Not a big difference. You see the reflections on both TV's. This one just diffuses them with the semi-matte. But you can still see yourself during dark scenes! It's just not as clear.

Compared to the 650, the difference

Panasonic DMC-TZ5A Lumix 9.1 Megapixel Digital Camera - Blue
This a second TZ5 I have. I bought a first one (blue) in April of this year and used it for two weeks before my wife dropped it on a plush carpet and it immediately showed 'lens error.' I was very disappointed and I previously was very disappointed in TZ3 low light photos, so I decided not to bother with Panasonic TZ5. However, I decided to try my luck again, after I collected a bunch of gift cards and needed to buy something. This time I got a silver model. I just took them to Madonna concert and I was very very pleased with results.

1) I did buy two additional extended life batteries on ebay 1400mA each. The original one is 1000mah. I got used to my Fuji F30 doing 500-600 shots per charge with no problems, so I am spoiled and wanted fresh batteries. However, I did not need them at the concert. I took about 370 photographs and 5 videos about 5 minute length, and my TZ still shows two bars! I did not use flash but I did do a lot of zooming and reviewing. Looks like I will

Sony 5.0MP Handycam High-Definition Camcorder w/120GB Hard Drive and 3.2" LCD Screen - Silver/Gray
I've had my SR12 for about a month now. It's a wonderful video camera with amazing HD picture quality.
I just shot a friend's daughter's wedding (for free - for fun) and he said it looked like it was done by a professional. Some of the darker dance floor scenes were a bit troublesome (slightly grainy/out of focus at times - most of it was great!) - everything was shot on full automatic mode with no light settings/adjustments - I'm still learning what this camera can/can't do).
It's still a great piece of technology. I shot many of my son's high-school outdoor soccer games - both daylight and at night under the lights - came out PERFECT! And WOW is it great just playing back on my HD TV. Amazing.
Now, for the software/editing issue: It's a non-issue. Get a computer. Not your 4-yr old P4. I've got a yr-old Quad Core - works great with Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate software. I burn DVDs AND Blu-Rays with this set-up and it looks fabulous!
Ask away if you have any questions. I learned from other

Samsung 52" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
This set is amazing. I had a 61" rear projection that had a good picture, but It wasn't anywhere near as good as this. The picture quality is incredible. When scenes involve people in a room for instance it's like looking in on them through a window every detail is bright, vivid, and crisp. And that is with stand definition. I record some old black & White shows and they have never looked so good. High definition is nothing short of spectacular. This set can be set to deliver a 60 hrtz or 120 hrtz refresh. The 60 is very good, but the 120 takes it to the next level. The higher refresh rate gives near Blue Ray quality to scenes where there is distant details in the background. These details become visible with the higher refresh rate. I'm seeing absolutely no artifacts in the picture at all.
The viewing angles are where I see a big difference from what I'm used to. The picture quality shows little or no change no matter how far to the side you get. I've laid on the floor directly below

Samsung 52" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
After 4 months of shopping for an HDTV, this set is the one! It has the best picture and features of any other tv i have seen. I went to Best Buy, Circuit City, and ABC Warehouse here in Michigan to check out every tv i could. At first, i was considering the Sony Z series, but a 46 inch was the largest size for that model. Then i was looking at the Panasonic plasmas, but the picture just did'nt seem to be as clear as the Samsung tv's. So after all the trips to the stores, and all the price searching on the net, buying this set from Amazon was the answer. I bought a Belkin HDMI cable, and a Sanus wall mount for it as well. Everything is perfect! The set looks very classy on my wall, and gives the entire family room a modern look. The one thing about this purchase i was not totally happy with was the shipping. The white glove delivery is overrated as fellow reviewers have mentioned. Only 1 guy showed up from ( Pilot ) shipping, not 2, that i was expecting. When it was time to open the box,

Samsung 63-inch Widescreen Plasma HDTV-Samsung 63? widescreen plasma HDTV PN63A650
Amazing is the only way to describe it. For the longest time I thought LCD was the way to go. But decided to take a serious look at plasma tvs, primarily because of inherent motion lag and color reproduction issues with lcd. Fancy technology such as 120 Hz still does not mask the problem to a trained eye. Once I decided to go with Plasma, I did a comparision between Pansonic, Pioneer & Samsung. Did a side by side comparison at Best Buy & found the Samsung to have the best picture quality.

Data Robotics DR04DD10 Drobo 4 SATA Bay FW800 & USB 2.0 Storage Array Enclosure
Update: It has been 5 days and three phone calls to support since the third crash and I still have had no one call me back and help. If I don't hear from them by tomorrow, I'm returning the unit to Amazon.

I bought this 3 weeks ago, I have loaded 1.8 Teravbytes of data 3 times. The unit keeps shutting itself off and won't let me load anything else on it. Support has done nothing to help yet. I will update if status changes. BE WARNED.

Samsung 50" 1080p Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV
I purchased a Samsung 650 Plasma and was amazed.. Understand, I didn't trust the internet purchase and was not sure if this was really the product I wanted. (LCD vs Plasma) No doubt the right decision. Process was safe with Amazon and the delivery Company was great.. The delivery company called to confirm the delivery, respectfully conversed with us, and pulled the TV out of the box, placed it on the table and showed me it was working as planned. Asked if I wanted the box or they would hold it for me. More about the the 650. Did I say WOW... I just wanted a tv I would be happy with and not regret my decision. LCD vs Plasma.. Tough decision. My co worker does this for a living and talked me out of a LCD ..Great move..Distance from the TV is 8- 18 feet. Love watching Football and Hockey. Great angle viewing and glare is not there. (I get alot of sunlight in the room) Sound is of good quality.
Bottom line, we all want a quality product and a good price. With the money I saved, I bought cables,

Sony Blu-ray Disc Player with 1080p Output
Got this BD yesterday and just hooked it up with the home theatre components. I have to say - it fully met my expectations, it is really awesome unit! While I got already used on picture quality form the HD TV broadcast, I was looking forward to sound in TrueHD and DTS MA standards over 7.1 speaker system. In few words, it is fantastic!! I did buy this unit as future proof even though my Onkyo AVR can decode both standards internally. I wanted to test the unit, so I rented BD that was mastered in DTS Master Audio 7.1. After I connected it to the receiver via HDMI cable and without doing any settings, the receiver showed PCM Multichannel at its display. After bit of reading, I realized that S550 was doing sound decoding internally. Than I read footnote in the manual (pg 66, fn 5) on how to get the bitstream to the receiver. After making that change, viola , DTS MasterAudio flag lit on my receiver!! The sound got much more rich and powerful with full 7.1 deployment.

Canon VIXIA 3.3MP High-Definition Digital Camcorder with 120GB Hard Drive - Black
I was using a MiniDV camcorder and decided to up grade. I'm not a big Canon fan, mostly because of price but I sure do love this camcorder. There is A LOT of great features on the HG21 and yes it does have a viewfinder (the HG20 does not). Its very simple to use and you have a lot of storage with the 120GB hard. I love shooting in the 24p cinema mode. I definitely would recommend it! If you don't need a huge hard drive or viewfinder than go with the HG20 its exactly the same and you will save some $$$.

Western Digital My Book Essential 500GB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive
This is a great product! I got it at an excellent price and it was very simple to install. All you do is connect it to the computer and you have instant GB. I've been storing lots of music, pictures, and movies onto it and now I don't have to worry about running out of memory on my MacBook.
