Overall, this is good game that is entertaining. I did find that the gameplay was pretty broken-up, however, which took some of the fun out of it. You go on a Clank mission, then a Ratchet challenge, then a bot mini-game, etc. I would have liked it more if it was a little more mission-to-mission type of gameplay, with the side missions and challenges spread out more.

The good:
- Funny story
- Good graphics and sound
- Lots of varied styles of game play.
- Stealth gameplay is very good. I think I enjoyed this style the most.

The bad:
- The checkpoints in the game drive me crazy. There is not enough of them. If you run into a challenging spot, you often gave to go back to the start of the mission if you die or blow stealth.
- As mentioned above, the story is a bit broken up. You jump from one style of gameplay to another every other mission or so.
- The mission menu can be kind of confusing.

Secret Agent Clank: PSP

to say that this is a whole other experience than the other Rachet and Clank games. Playing as Clank is the game's best part. It has the same mechanics as the old games with some cool new stuff mixed in. Over all, if you like the Rachet and Clank series or are just looking for a great PSP game you won't be disappointed with Secret Agent Clank.

MLB 08: The Show: PSP

are also awarded bonus points for level-specific attacks, like shooting out each column or row at a time, killing all the same color or shape opponent in row, etc. Also, if you kill four of the same color enemies in a row, a timed weapon upgrade appears... this can be a laser, bomb, or spread shot. Complete the level-specific attacks to deploy a flashing UFO. Shoot him down and a minigame starts, maybe kill X amount of invaders in a certain timeframe, or kill just one well protected invader, etc.

Boss battles signal the end of a level. They are often very large invaders and have different critical kill spots.

One great addition to the classic gameplay is the ability to save and start at the beginning of the level when you load or continue a game. No more starting from scratch every time. Your score will also start at whatever it was at the beginning of the level, so you can rebuild on that.

A multiplayer mode is included via Ad-Hoc as well.

At $19.99, this title is a steal for fans of retro gaming, causal gamers (you only use one button after all), or hardcore gamers looking for a challenge as the levels become faster and the enemies come in thick waves.

My only knock is that some of the backgrounds are a bit 'Windows 95-y'... just boring, ugly text floating around. But you're usually too focused n the gameplay to notice.

A great overall budget game with strong mass appeal.

Thirty years old and the core gameplay still holds up!

Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2: PSP

My main complaint, if you can call it that, is that this game is so similar to the first that it's almost an insult. You start the game and see the girl waving to you from behind a desk with the EXACT SAME ANIMATION as the first game. Then you pick your character, start the first round on, believe it or not, the SAME COURSE AS THE ORIGINAL. That's right, South Alps CC. An exact clone, right down to the yodels from the hills. I have never in my long life as a gamer seen a game copy it's predecessor so closely. This is what makes this review so difficult to write: It's still a great game in itself, but if you've played the first one you might be a bit annoyed to have to start all over and unlock the same courses you have already played. Shouldn't a sequel advance the title, not clone it? I guess they figured if the formula works so well, why mess with it?

The main difference, to be fair, is a good one though. Multiplayer online via WiFi is a very welcome addition. Hopefully enough players will log on to make it worthwhile, as a 16 player tourney, as advertised, would be awesome.

Granted I'm only a few hours into the game, but here's hoping some new surprises pop up to make this a truly new adventure in video gaming golf. Recommended to new players to HSG, but veterans may want to wait and get it on sale.

Materia Fusion is useless, unless you're playing Hard Mode I would assume, but for the basic game it has no real place. Looking into some of the mechanics behind fusion on GameFaqs, they couldn't have made the system more complicated if they tried. It amounts to a lot of mindless grinding that's (for me at least) difficult to tolerate. But if you're into that kind of thing, more power to you.

Zack is the stereotypical hyperactive RPG protagonist, yet strangely the only male character that's voice-acted even moderately well. For some reason, the writers saw fit to include new characters such as Genesis and Cissnei, both of whom fail to capture one's imagination like the original cast of FF7. Genesis is obsessed with a play and seems to have a pathological compulsion to recite it, Cissnei hints at a mysterious past but nothing is ever revealed, and pretty much all of the characters are one-dimensional. Aeris gets a few scattered scenes, but nothing like what a long-time fan of FF7 might hope for. She also comes off as a bit unhinged (fear of the sky? talking to flowers? Riiiight). Not only that, but the ENTIRE GAME'S (indeed the entire series') plot can be summed up in the following phrase. "Hojo is a [...]". I was kinda hoping for more than that.

Either Square Enix's localization team has really downsized in recent years and the original Japanese version of CC:FF7 is far more involving, or Crisis Core was simply produced just to cash in on the swarms of rabid FF7 fans. The problem with this kind of business strategy is that only the most hardcore of fans (the ones who dress up as their favorite characters and go to conventions) will continue buying anything with a FF7 label on it, whereas the rest of us operate on a "once bitten twice shy" basis.

Crisis Core falls completely short of being a respectable prequel to one of the best-selling (if not THE best-selling) RPGs of all time. Much like Xenogears and the Xenosaga series that followed it, a story that was once carefully and lovingly written has been essentially turned into an empty attempt at capitalization. The VERY few plot developments revealed in Crisis Core could've easily been condensed into a 90-minute movie a la Advent Children, which would've been far more preferable than wasting the money and time spent playing through CC.

I'd like the week or two I spent playing through this game back.

with the album title on it in the Music folder on the PSP, *then* copy over the music into the folder. For example, I created a "Battlestar Galactica Season 1" folder inside the Music folder on the PSP. Then I copied over the MP3s. Copying whole folders gives you an error.

6. Sign up for the Playstation Store. You can download free demos of many popular games (like Patapon), along with themes and wallpapers for the PSP. I like this method of free demos, because I can have multiple demos on my PSP and only carry two UMDs with me and never get bored.

The new PSP is much better than the original. It's slimmer, lighter, and a slightly bigger screen that actually makes some of the picture look a bit more crisp. Some games also run a little faster, and that more than helps the PSP out.

What the PSP has best been known for (and criticized the most for) is being a handheld entertainment center. It can do more than just play games. It can play music, go online, play movies, and you can look at photos. This is all built into the system and doesn't require you to purchase any extra peripherals to use. While these are all good and well, they come with slight hitches. You can't organize a playlist when it comes to the music, and while going online is great, it's pretty sluggish when you have to input addresses and such via a keypad function similar to that of a cell phone. Movies are great too, but a UMD on the PSP's small screen isn't enough to replace a DVD or Blu-Ray disc.

Luckily, however, the PSP isn't a home entertainment center and is a gaming console. In that respect it gets the job done. The Slim PSP works because the interface is very user friendly. You can select several things from the main menu to do. Whether it be to play music, browse photos or just start a game. When playing a game you can return to the home menu at any time. The system even sleeps if you suddenly have to put it down. The UMDs are also a great gaming format. There's plenty of space, which makes some games live up to their potential in length, and also pushes how powerful the PSP is. In terms of graphics, it's like walking around with a Playstation 2 in your pocket.

The PSP does suffer from a couple of setbacks. The battery is still pretty short in length. It lasts much longer in the slim PSP than the original, but it still isn't that long lasting. At least you can always check how much battery is left, and when it gets low it'll let you know. Even better for the PSP is that even if the battery dies in the middle of a game, you can just charge it and resume right from where you left off since the console will merely go to sleep.

The other setback with the PSP is that the screen can be damaged pretty easily. In order to protect it you'll need to spend more money on accessories such as a case to protect it. It's also not the most durable system you can buy. You have to be a bit more delicate with it because it's a bit more fragile than most other consoles out there. Luckily, most of you probably won't drop it purposefully, but in case a parent is looking at giving it to a child, you may want to watch to make sure they don't drop it on a concrete or hard surface.

For a couple of years, the PSP has suffered the most from having a fairly tight library. Most of its more notable games were either ported from the Playstation 2 or ported TO the Playstation 2. With the PS2 no longer being the focal point, it has certainly allowed the PSP to grow much more. We're now seeing much better games and much more expanded games. The library is still fairly short on fantastic games, but at least now it's growing as a gaming system. If you're interested in a PSP, now is not a bad time to grab one as there are better games being released and it's been built to last.

The PSP is a good handheld device. With a volley of games to choose from all across the spectrum, the PSP really does serve as a good gaming choice for everyone.

think the movie 300 would of fit the whole theme better, for 199. + tax this is a great deal. This pack does not come with a memory stick so if you don't have one, you will need to buy one. The Jack and Daxter bundle has sold over 2 million, I believe this one will outsell that eventually. If you like God of War, and RED, get this.
