The Peerless PT660 tilting wall mount worked out well. It's heavy-duty, so it will support up to 100 lbs and it comes with a large variety of fasteners so that you can attach it to about any wall surface. In my case, it was for a Samsung 50" plasma set that went above a fireplace. The mounting bracket was installed to the sheetrock - or more specifically to the 2 studs behind the sheetrock (usually spaced 16" apart) - with 4 large lag screws and washers. The mounting bracket itself is on the order of 32", so you can only attach it to 2 studs at best. Once you figure where the mounting bracket goes and level it - then attach it to the wall. The 2nd part that attaches to the TV required no spacers - just 4 bolts - for a simple attachment. The hardest part is lifting your TV up and onto the wall mount. Have at least 2 people available for this. I used 3 people: 2 to lift the TV and 1 to hold the attached cables out of the way and into their proper position on the fireplace mantle. I recommend

What you see pictured here on amazon is NOT what you'll get if you buy this product. I've not been able to track down who actually manufactures the tv mount pictured on the page, but it is definitely NOT the Premier SUT-3760 that's shown. If you want to see what you'll really get, google the Premier Mounts web page. It looks nothing like what's shown on amazon. That was my first suprise/disappointment. I guess the other is that I purchased the mount thru Real Home Theaters who I must say had "a" mount sent to me within a very short time at a great price--don't even think about wasting your money on a mount directly from the big box stores. They must make a killing on mark up. It is similar to what I found on the actual Premier Mounts web site, but not exact. It came in a plain white fedex box with no typical product box at all--there was no reference to the manufacturer. The instructions are fairly clear, but again without a mention of the manufacturer or product number anywhere

I will recommend this model to anyone hanging a large screen LCD. I hung a Samsung LN52A650 and it was easy to hang the TV. This updated model has a larger space between the adjustable hanging brackets and makes routing the TV cords and cables an easy task. All different kinds of screws are included for mounting and the directions are well explained. Would recommend this mount to everyone.

All the professionals I spoke to recommended Peerless. To get this unit at the Amazon discounted rate was indeed a bonus. The only fault I found with the unit was that the instructions for drilling the holes placed my 58" plazma too high on the wall. It was a simple fix, thus the high rating.

First of all they are very serious about the 95 lb limit. My TV is 92 lbs which is under the limit but I could tell that it was straining to move it and within two weeks it broke. Also be aware that it is basically only made to work with Samsung TV's. After two weeks I returned it and spent a few more bucks on an X-Arm by CLO Systems which holds up to 185 lbs, has more features, movement range and can hold up to a 65 inch TV. This mount might be slightly cheaper but you get what you pay for.

Not long ago, I bought an ST650 wall mount for another TV. Now I have a 55 inch TV, and Peerless says that the other model is good only for sets up to 50 inches. So I spent the extra $25 and got this one. I got the package in the mail today, and opened it. It looked remarkably familiar. I had to double check to make sure I got the right one.
I went to the Peerless website where there are technical drawings for both of these models. Every single dimension is identical for both models. But they claim that this one is needed for larger sets. My new TV weighs less than the 150 lbs that the cheaper model claims it will hold. So would it fail because it somehow knows that the frame of my TV extends an extra two inches or so in each direction? It's not as if there were any design change related to the size. And it's not as if Peerless goes by the dimensions of the TV. They go by screen size. So a manufacturer could have a 50 inch screen on a chassis that's a few inches bigger or smaller

I really like this motorized mount. You just set the limits you want the mount to turn left, right and down. I have a Pioneer FHD1 50" plasma that weighs around 88lbs. The only thing that could be better is the remote is very basic, small and cheap and it doesn't work the best 12' away but it does work that far. I am going to try to program the wall mount remote to my tv remote or the Pioneer remote. Where i have one less remote. One thing on the remote is a button called home and you press it once and the tv will go back against the wall, no matter what position you have it in.

After purchasing this mount, my whole main floor is an optimal viewing location for my TV! I can remotely adjust the TV so I don't miss any of the game while I'm cooking in the kitchen. Can't wait to until Omnimount allows me to motorize the rest of my life!

This was very easy to assemble. The most time consuming part was getting all the wires into the wall and connected to the TV properly. The mount itself was very easy to put together and put on the wall. And the TV does sit as flush to the wall as you can get. Our tv is a 42" LCD and fits great on the mount.

Got this product in a timely manner. Beautiful black color matched my Samsung 50" plasma (97 pounds). We set this up on metal studs with 24" space between them (i live in a loft that was converted from an old shoe factory.). From measurement to drilling, to putting the mount on the wall, and hanging on it (my friend who helped was 150lbs, and he was doing pull ups on it), to using the provided screws to put the brackets on the tv, took about 45 minutes. The end product looked great!
PROS:
One of the things I really thought was great was that the mount came with screws and a sheet that tells you which ones to use for your tv. This made the whole process easier and more efficient.
Also, since the mount plate is so wide, and has many holes, you can use it for studs with spacing that ranges from 12" to 24", something that not a lot of other mounts can do.
CONS:
Buy your own bolts for putting plate on the wall. Shouldn't be too expensive, maybe 10 bucks more at the hardware store, for 4-6

Be aware that many of the mounts on Amazon are incorrectly labled for TV size. The mounting bracket for this unit is only 30" wide. The mounting holes on the back of my 47" TV are 31" apart! Therefore this unit will not work. The best bet if you want this brand is to go with tht ST670P. It's mounting bracket is 37" wide. Though I doubt it will support the 73" TV it claims it should work for TV's in the 50" range.

The TV wall mount is of good quality, but it is by no means a "One Touch Tilt" model. Both of the brackets have adjustments on them and consequently they must both be adjusted in order to tilt the TV up or down. Not a bad TV mount, but it is not what I ordered. Be careful when purchasing a flat-panel TV mount. Do some research and visit the manufacurers website before choosing which model you want. After you choose the model that fits your application, go back and find it on Amazon. Do not rely on the product descriptions listed on Amazon because I have found several of them to be inaccurate. I hope this info will help others make a more educated choice when they purchase their TV wall mount brackets.

I am very happy with the flatscreen mount, my only complaint is I had to purchase longer bolts to use the spacers with my 50 inch panasonic tv. Becasue the TV had a bump out at the bottom and a 2 inch clearance at the top, I was forced to use both spacers with longer bolts than were suppplied. With the TV plug location, I also had to relocate an outlet above the bracket as opposed to directly below it. Overall I am very satisfied with the product so far and feel it provides a very secure mount for my television.

I just purchased this for my 60" TV. It does not fit at all.
The description said 32" - 63", it actually should say "selective 32" - 60" TV. It doesn't fit all tv sizes. If you need one, must check their website with the specific TV brand and model number before you purchase the mount. Waste my time and money.

This mount is very well made from heavy gauge steel that is TIG-welded to heavy tubing. All the metal parts are powder-coated with a dark brown finish. Mounting was as simple as locating the wall studs, drawing parallel level lines to match the spacing of the mount hangers and then drilling pilot holes into the studs to accept the hanger lag bolts. This unit weighs about 40 pounds, so you're going to want to have a helper when you're ready to attach the mount to the wall and hand the TV/Monitor on it. Once the mount is attached to the wall using the included lag bolts and washers, the vertical hooks are attached to the back of the TV or Monitor, again using the included bolts and washers. The TV or Monitor is then lifted and hooked into place on the mount and four small screws are tightened to lock the assemblies together. Done. Our particular TV is a 125 pound 50" plasma that is right at the load limit of this mount. I was a little anxious to see how it would handle the load. In our case,

I bought this mount for a fairly heavy (@100lbs.) Mitsubishi 46231 LCD screen - this mount could easily take twice the weight. The mount is well engineered with plenty of adjustment for wall stud spacing. I left plenty of cable length so we could just pick up the screen, hang the set, and tuck the excess cable in the wall. Worked like a charm due to the simple design of the mount. Two different depth mounting bars are included - if using the smaller bars to keep the set closest to the wall (about 1 inch), and your outlet is directly behind the panel, you will need a wall hugger plug adapter. I would buy this product again.

I researched this one up the wazo till I went crazy!
First I figured out I only needed a flat mount and not the one with the tilt feature. Our plasma was in a room 12ft wide, so you can see it from all angles flat.
The next critia (for me) was to have it as close to the wall as possible. It looks a lot better this way. Sleek and unassuming.
I came accross this Peerless model and it looked simple and had a low profile fit to the wall.
The product had free shipping and actually came the next day!
It was well packaged, with instructions covering all installation types. The best thing is, it comes with ALL the nuts and bolts, you won't be running out to home depot for anything. It included an up-to-date comprehensive list of TV's and which bolts/washers to use. My Sony 42" plasma was listed and we've had it for a couple of years now.
It took a couple of hours to do a proper install, make sure you measure and level it correctly, the hardest part was getting a friend to come over and lift on

Excellent construction, solid and stable - just as described. Nice and thin - close to wall. I'm not much of a DIY-er and had no trouble - good instructions, comprehensive hardware, and system matching documentation included.

A good no frills wall mount for your flat screen. Good, heavy construction. Plenty of hardware and excellent directions for mounting. Finish was also good, no bare metal or unfinished surfaces. Only horizontal adjustability, but good enough for most applications.

Took me about 5 minutes to install the TY-ST08K, and then I forgot all about it. Works like a charm. Obviously I did not get a defective unit as J. Leo, below. One key is to buy from a reputable dealer. On Amazon or Ebay there is the possibility of leaving feedback for the seller, which gives some security towards getting a good unit.
The only negatives are that the stand is not adjustable and basically is just a firm solid support; also, the cables have a tight clearance and you may find it challenging to connect/disconnect them. I have not found this to be a significant issue for me, but it is worth mentioning.
The TY-ST08K may seem overpriced and probably is, but is manufactured just for your Panasonic plasma and is sturdy, heavy metal. If you intend to mount your Panasonic th-42pwd8uk on a table, then you need it. See my review on the th-42pwd8uk. I give this model four stars due to what I feel is a high price for a mass of metal.
I comparison-shopped extensively searching for alternative
