I was looking for an all-in-one micro music system / boombox, and Philips DCM230 provides everything I wanted. Many systems I searched around had one thing or the other missing. Some didn't have a USB port and others didn't have the Aux audio port.
I am going to give this to my parents. I can just drag and drop some MP3 songs for them on a 2GB USB stick without needing to burn the songs on CDs. My mom and dad (they are old school) can just plug and play. The Aux port was needed for using Ipod Shuffle. And of course, there is the Ipod dock (which I will need whenever I visit them), CD Player and AM/FM/Clock.
The sound is very good and the system looks slick. I'm seriously thinking about buying one for myself too. Overall, it's a good value for money.

These headphones would be great if you had the perfect ear size. I would say my ears are average, and they don't fit these headphones. They are not versatile nor likely to be a good buy. Look for something else.

This is the second ipod i have purchased, the first was at full retail. Why pay for more for the same item, could never tell it has been refurbished. Purchased for my wife and she loves it.

I've been using this adapter for less than a week now, but I have to say that this is by far the best stereo bluetooth solution I've used with my iPhone (come on, Apple - what's the holdup with native A2DP?). I've tried out numerous other adapters, and have been underwhelmed with most of them. Previous offerings have been so poor that I've returned a large number of them after less than a day of use.
Before I bought the Sony, I had been using TEN technology's naviPlay adapter (no longer manufactured). Although good compared to many of the others I've used, its sheer bulk and the need to constantly charge it (with it sometimes "forgetting" that it had been charged) made it a far-from-perfect solution.
Sony's offering, on the other hand, is about as close to perfect as you can get. It's small, fits in the iPhone's docking port securely (my naviPlay didn't always keep a good connection), and uses the iPhone's battery for power. Of course, using the iPhone's battery raises concerns about

I have bought many things on OStock and been very happy up until now. I bought this product to play music off my IPhone which it did well for about 2 weeks and then completely stopped working for no apparent reason. The display died and along with it, all options.

Works very good, stays in place. Only thing I didn't like about it was that the headphones have to be unplugged to remove the ipod from the case. Not a big deal though.

I bought this for my 1st generation iPod Touch and had some doubts as to whether or not it would work based on reviews of other similar products. However, after getting the Griffin charger I have charged the iPod several times with no problems. What's great is that it will charge many of my other devices that require USB in order to charge.

I've had one of these for probably 5 years now (the original PAL, not the iPal). While the device is supposed to be weather resistant, I found that after about 18 months the tuning knob became very "dirty" and staticy when tuning. I think this is due to moisture getting into the case. We keep the Pal on a shelf in the bathroom, and I suspect the steam from the shower did this.
But the serious problem is something I've just noticed recently. The rubbery material the case is made out of has started to deteriorate. The rubber case material has gotten almost sticky and can't be cleaned. And if you make the mistake of trying to clean it with Windex, the material almost melts.
So you're left with this device that's totally absorbing all the dirt that comes in contact with it, and can't be cleaned. Even just a damp rag makes the rubber case sticky now, leaving marks in it and not getting the dirt off.
I've seen other rubber things break down this way- usually it's the little rubber feet

I couldn't beleive how much cheaper the refurbished item was compared to the full price iPods. It's crazy to think you may only loose a few bits of memory when buying refurbished, but who really cares when you just want to listen to music while you work!!!!
Great deal, second iPod I bought from overstock.com!

I have wanted a charger and did not want to pay alot for it. This was exactly what was needed and was a great value. I would advise anyone with an iPod to get one. Love mine and will order another as a back up when traveling.

A year ago I picked up a Jabra BT8010 headset. This is your basic bluetooth headset, except you have the option of plugging in a second speaker for stereo music use. I used it with a Windows Mobile phone and loved the headset, but hated the phone.
My new iPhones lack of bluetooth stereo headphone support really ticked me off. It's dumb, the phone already has a bluetooth radio, I wasn't excited about spending money on adding a dongle to my phone. If I had to, I wanted the best and this Sony unit appeared to be it.
And... it works exactly as advertised! Mostly. Sound quality is perfect, pairing is fast and easy, it appears to have very little impact on battery life, and playback starts very quickly (virtually no buffering).
I expected certain hickups with the iPhone though (this adapter was really intended only for ipods). So what are those kickups? When first plugging in this adaptor you get a warning about it not being designed for iPhone use. It suggests putting your iPhone into flight

great reception-very clear. The only thing is it does not adjust left/right--only up/down. Mine plugs in right by my vehicle gear shift making it awkward to use.

This product works great. The sound is good, easy to install and use-
BUT it fits into the cigarette lighter and bounces out when driving.
Great idea, great device with ease of use, but works best when the car is not moving!
It will stay in place with a little velcro and is well worth the price!

This is my first ipod. No instruction manual comes with it and I had to ask a friend to show me how it works. "First Jo, you have to charge it." Okay I'm not good with tech. But once my friend showed me how to download it is very easy. The device is small enough I can carry it every where. I also bought a carrying case for it. This was a wise choice as it will not turn on accidently.
BTW you can get a hold of an owner's manual online and download it to your computer.
Enjoy. It is well worth the money.

I bought these on 6/20/2008. On 10/28/2008, I popped them in to listen to a new MP3 album I'd gotten and initially thought I'd lost the hearing in my left ear. Then I put the left earbud in my right ear and realized that the left bud just wasn't working. Read a few reviews, and you'll find out this is not uncommon. This was an awful lot of money for a product which lasted through about four months of use.
To be perfectly truthful, the performance was terrific while they lasted, and the bonus is that the bud covers are made for people with various sizes of ear canals. I got great sound, and didn't have to worry about the buds falling out because they fit snugly.
A couple of months ago, the sheath to the plug came loose. I didn't worry about that because it was easy enough to pull the plug in such a way as to not have it come loose. There's just not much I can do about mostly-absent sound, though.
I'm returning them under warranty, although it remains to be seen whether this will be of

Folks, take the advice of one of the elder statesman in this group; only buy these ear buds if you have a high threshold for aggravation.
The sound VModa achieves is outstanding, albeit a bit heavy on the bass, but, overall, the listening experience is WONDERFUL - *while it lasts*.
I had these ear buds for less than 30 days before the left channel went dead on a long overseas flight; nothing to do but break out the book at that point.
I'm looking for something else, right now. There are too many reported instances for this to be a chance occurrence.

Perfect inexpense boom box that delivers quality sound. Wonderful features that include a CD player as well as a iPod dock. Great all in one music unit.

I love this little gadget. I have no trouble getting a radio frequency to use and it works much better than my $75 one. The only down side, I had to take my ipod out of it's soft skin to be able to use it in this transmitter, but it was worth it. I loved it so much, I purchased 2 more as gifts.

The Micro-Fiber Pouch is excellent protection for the iPod Touch. I use it as I move it from place to place in the house and also as a storage unit for the Touch. It is very soft, washable, and even can be used as a cleaning cloth to wipe fingerprints from the screen and back of unit. I rate this outstanding. If you have an iPod Touch, you need this!!!
