As I said above the display is the best part. The newly redesigned marvell proccessor makes this very snappy.
It does feel cheaply made, not very solid like the previous model but it could be due to the larger case so it is not as dense.
Overall it is a great pda and a big improvement over the last generation of IPaq's.

Like a fool, I listened to the instructions and the first thing I did was charged the battery. I already knew better than this, but I was anxious to do the right thing with my new unit. So, now the batt only lasts ~ 0.75 -1.5 hrs (hard to say because its not in continuous use). I recommend to deplete the battery completely, as with any other device, before charging. Otherwise, its exactly what I wanted.

I bought the HP iPAQ 111 after my Palm TX died. The Palm TX was an unreliable PDA, it constantly crashed and never synced properly, it was my last Palm OS PDA. I've had the iPAQ 111 for almost 1 month and I'm happy with it. Windows Mobile 6 is great so far; it syncs perfectly with Google calender/contacts/gmail through any wireless network using Windows Mobile Active Sync. If you've been looking for a way to ditch Outlook, this is your answer; import your contacts, calender, and e-mail to Google, then just sync with Active Sync (you can choose how far back you want to sync your calender and e-mails). I like keeping my cell phone and PDA separate, so the iPAQ 111 is a good value for the price. I mostly have medical applications installed (epocrates essentials, uptodate, medcalc, and eponyms all on a SD card) on my iPAQ, which run fine, except for a little delay when you first open the application. The built-in bluetooth and wi-fi are good. The display is crisp. My only complaint is the short

I bought this product for my brother who's a doctor a needed something that would allow him to be online while in the hospital everywhere he went, he didn't wanted a mini laptop and did not wanted to use his smartphone so this piece of equipment did the trick.

After the data connector on my Axim X30 (624 MHz) broke off (thus rendering my device pretty much useless), I got the HP iPAQ 111. I'm going to highlight some of the pros and cons of this unit. Pros ---- - Wifi and Bluetooth Both Wifi and Bluetooth work flawlessly (no IR port though). The Wifi is easy to set up. I can browse the Internet and check my e-mail. Getting the Bluetooth to work with my Bluetooth Plantronics Voyager headset is a snap. - USB Cable Syncing The iPAQ uses a USB cable, which is easily replaceable if you lose your original cable. Some devices, such as my Dell Axim, use a proprietary syncing cable. - Sufficiently Fast Processor WM 6 is snappy and responsive just so long as it's not bogged down with too many programs running. It has a 624 MHz processor, 64MB of memory for running programs, and 256MB of ROM for your storage needs. - SD Card Slot That's almost a given, but thought I'd mention it anyway. The device accepts both SD and SDHC (high capacity) cards. -

Having had nothing but Palm Products from the original Palm to the Palm TX over the years, I decided that since I wanted to continue to use a PDA that wasn't a smartphone (why pay extra for services I'm already paying for - i.e. WIFI#, I purchased the HP iPAQ 111 Classic Handheld #FA979AA#ABA# (110 Series#. The Good: Slim design, easy to access applications#with mobile versions of Excel, Word, Powerpoint), and the familiar Windows-Like OS #Windows Mobile 6), all make this PDA a dream to use. With the addition of a Bluetooth keyboard, you can easily take this device on the road and work on documents and easily answer email. The messaging application makes it easy to set up and sync to all your email accounts including Outlook Exchange servers on a schedule that you can define. The Bad: Does not come with a docking station; getting help off and online is often difficult to navigate; my "Windows updater" can't find the URL and there's no way to change it; when applications freeze, there's

My black and white Palm Pilot finally stopped working after 9 years of faithful service. I didn't want a phone that would run my life or cost me a fortune; I didn't want another laptop device, no matter how small. Then I discovered the HP iPAQ 111 Classic handheld and I love it! It's easy to use, easy to set up, can do just what I want (calendar, address book, calculator, tape recorder) or much more, including emails and other web-based tasks. It fit into my expensive Day Timer organizer and it came with a neat case of it's own, perfect for tossing into my handbag for non-business use. It's priced right, light, has a good sized display and I look forward to using it for many years. Complete with all the software necessary for partnering with my office network, nothing was overlooked in this package!

This was a great item to replace my Palm after years of use. Does so much more with wifi, so have access to web and other computers on network. Music player is a bonus.

Needed a pouch for my Nokia N810. This is perfect! I didn't want to spend 20 or 30 bucks on such an insignificant item, so for a few bucks this fit the bill perfectly for me. I would have preferred the color to be black, and maybe a magnetic clasp instead of the velcro, but at this price there is little to complain about. This pouch is just SLIGHTLY larger than necessary for the N810, but that is also a plus for me as I will be able to slide a spare battery in the pouch along with the N810. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. I would also mention that in the photo of the item, although the belt clip APPEARS as though it is designed ONLY for a belt to slide through (eg MUST be worn with a belt), this is not the case. The bottom part of the clip IS NOT fastened to the pouch, and lifts up, allowing you to clip it on to your pants or whatever without a belt. This was the only thing I was concerned about, as I wanted a clip-on pouch because I do not wear a belt at work (I wear surgical

I don't have time to write about everything I like about the device so this review will be short. I have been a PDA user for many years. I was a strong Palm supporter however my TX was stepped on and did not survive that experience. When I was in the market for replacing it I found that Palm has given up on producing newer PDA's which is very disappointing. So I found my only good option was the HP 211 which is the same thing as HP210. Not only am I very happy that it does everything my TX did, it also does a lot more. The only complaint I have is the size of the HP is just a little too big to hide on your person without looking like a major Geek. The screen is beautiful The touch screen is responsive and very easy to work with The input text software is excellent and easy to learn Speaker stinks! Get head phones It comes with almost every program you need (Word, Excel, Outlook and more) I wish it would vibrate for alarms I'm very happy with the device. If you are a PDA junkie

I got this for my husband and he loves it. He did not want to pay every month for a phone data plan when he could check email or internet in a hot spot or at home at no cost. It will pay for itself soon. It is small enough he can carry in his pocket and use frequently. The large screen is very readable. He is finding more uses for it all the time.

I had a problem with my HP111 when new, the battery would discharge rapidly and the case would be very warm. I sent it back to HP and it was fixed under warranty and is working OK now. HP was easy to work with and I had it back within one week. I find it very adequate for my needs, it syncs nicely with my PC with all the Office apps. My personal data is protected with an easy to use password unlock feature. I keep about 4G of music on a SD chip and the sound quality is comparable to my iPod. I would have given it a 5 except that I cannot find any games to work with it!

This is perfect for a PDA pouch. It is sturdy, attractive, and easy to access when attached to your belt due to the swiveling belt loop. I can't believe the price. It is much nicer than ones we looked at for $20.

We have had a few iPaqs. When the 200 series came out I was hesitant to purchase due to the fact that I loved my 4705 (which is now my husband's iPaq.) The screen is a little more challenging to use. You have to press harder than you expect to get it to register your stylus initially. But the colors are so vibrant. It is great for viewing digital photos (just slip the sd card from the camera into the iPaq) or downloading a show and converting it for viewing in the car. The viewer and processor don't seem to catch or lag at all. Games come through with wonderful color and definition and seem to play consistently and trouble free. Windows mobile 6 seems quite stable. After a year and a half of use, I have only had too reset a handful of times. Additionally, there are quite a few aps out there for mobile 6 so personalization and making this what you need are available. At times the processor seems a little sluggish, but give it a minute and it catches up. But this is an 'instant' kind

If you want a handheld that you can store addresses and appointments on like you did with your Palm, don't buy this. This device depends on Microsoft Office and to be able to sync with your computer you must buy Microsoft Office. When I realized this after purchasing from Amazon and wanted to return it, Amazon said "tough luck". So I'm stuck with a useless product. Oh I can play solitaire! BTW I do have an old Microsoft Office but Microsoft won't update it and wants me to buy a new product..

The Defender is fairly rugged and durable. It is weather resistant to a high degree (This WAS my concern, as my PDA is used exclusively outside doing Data collection for the Forest Service). Between the silicone plugging up all major openings, the clear plastic screen, and my Wide Brimmed Hat, I don't fear water in my PDA except for torrential rains and dunking. Let me say that more clearly. NOT Waterproof... BUT very water resistant... It fits my extra large Mugen Power 4400MAH battery perfectly. I have three minor gripes: 1.) No external Lanyard loop 2.) No extra plastic screen protectors come with it (Also cant purchase extras, that I've seen) 3.) My USGlobalsat CF slot GPS card doesn't seat fully (minor modifications/grinding can fix this) CF Data cards seat fine. I actually prefer "The Defender" with this PDA, over my Otterbox 1900 case (with its PDA). Because its much less bulky, and adequately (for my purposes) resistant to the elements. I'm confident in saying "The Defender"

I owned the iPaq 100 series for a year and used it every day, mostly for email. It does everything it says it does: wifi, email, mp3, internet, Bluetooth. I never had a problem with the device during the year I owned it. You get exactly what's advertised: a PDA running Windows Mobile.
But there is a difference, I've found, between being able to do something and being able to do it well. I found the operating system clunky to navigate, finding downloadable software was a pain, and the web browser was a poor excuse for a web browser.
I initially bought the Windows Mobile iPaq because I use (and like) PCs. There was another device on the market--the iPod touch--but I ruled it out; iPod was an entertainment device, not a business tool.
It took me a year to see the light, but I've since switched to the iPod Touch 2nd generation and have found that it not only does everything my iPaq did, but is able to do it better and is just as much of a business tool as the iPaq. No more Internet Explorer

I upgraded to htis iPAQ from a hx2755. The first thing that I noticed was the resolution of the display, and the amount of memory that it had. One problem that I have had is, becouse of the increased length, it is harder o find cases that will fit, but the performance of the unit outways he drawbacks.

I measured and found this was a perfect fit for my digital camera. The price is great and the quality is too. It is leather, not plastic and such a cheap price. I like the belt clip and the fact that it can be swiveled when you sit down.
