Basically, it works as advertised. But with a few hiccups.
The image stabilization is poor. Combined with the light weight of the camera, it's hard to hold without jitter, practically impossible at maximum zoom. Walking with the camera makes the picture jump all over the place. And these fast movements don't make the compression algorithm happy. As a comparison point, my old Sony Hi8 camcorder can handle even the vibration in a race car without any of it showing on the screen.
Light sensitivity is poor. In low light it drops the frame rate and the video looks funny, blurred and stepped.
If you just leave the camera on without shooting, it still eats the battery like it is shooting. Turning it off and on takes a while, a few seconds. You'd think that this should not be the case in a device without mechanical moving parts but it is.
The file format is weird. There is a good reason why they sell a special DVD writer as a separate (not cheap) option. You can't just copy the files to DVD

I was given this camera for a Xmas gift. I love the ease of use and the compact size. Easy to use, and the battery life is long. Also, a really nice feature is that it comes with a rechargeble unit so I don't ever have to buy new batteries. I love the PINK color!A couple drawbacks was it did not come with a carrying case or a memory disk. For the price and all the features it has, this was surprising.Overall, I highly recommend this camera.

One can not overestimate the WOW factor of the Samsung LN52A750 52-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color. In the LN52A750 Samsung has given the world brilliant picture quality and stunning style in a unit that anyone would be proud to make the centerpiece of their living room or entertainment palace.
Right out of the box the picture is impressive, although the factory settings are too bright and overly saturated. This is to be expected, however, as virtually all manufacturers tune their sets to stand out in store displays. After fine-tuning my set using Digital Video Essentials: Optimize Your Home Entertainment System (NTSC Component), I now have a virtually perfect picture. It was a tedious and time-consuming process, however, so my recommendation to the patience-impaired would be to hire someone locally to do the work using the latest test equipment. For most people it would be well worth the cost (est. $50 -$75) after shelling out a couple of G's for a state-of-the-art LCD

This is a very objective review -- I'll try to be as straight-forward and balanced as possible.
1. Packaging:
I just got my MinoHD yesterday. The first impression is of the packaging -- very high quality. (It reminds me of the boxing for an Ipod Touch.)
2. Fit and finish:
The fit and finish of the MinoHD is excellent. It's not "cheap junk", but has the feel of quality and attention to detail.
3. Design:
When I handled the MinoHD for just a few moments, there were fingerprint smudges all over the shiny, piano black surface. And, in just a few moments, I found myself wiping the suface clean -- a nuisance.
I don't like piano black, and am baffled why manufacturers keep pushing this mirror-like style. I ask others, and they don't like it either. Anyway, it's a negative (but one I knew about in advance).
The wrist strap that hooks onto the Mino is a flashy silver. The whole appearance with the shiny black and shiny silver made the product appear... I'm not sure how to say this,

I have owned my View for a month and I love it even more than when I first got it. I will tell you about all the complications I have had, how I overcame them, and why this player rocks my world.
The View is small, like the nano and provides equally excellent sound, photo/video quality. It comes in 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32GB, but trumps the iPod with its memory expansion slot which allows you to add up to an additional 16GB of data for just the memory card's price. Be aware however that it only takes microSD chips, which for most people needs an adapter, but an 8GB card can be bought for $20 with an adapter, so it still isn't bad.
Upon receiving my sansa view, I knew instantly that it would be prone to scratches and fingerprints, especially since the screen and the player itself are one, so I recommend buying at least a screen protector. The material of the player is more similar to the first generation iPod nano, which doesn't feel as cheap as the new generations of iPod. The face of the

This review is going to be a description of this camcorders ease of use and application of features and isn't meant to be comparison to other camcorders in the same price class. Contextual references to other camcorders and cameras may be included for basis of perspective.
+ It is ready to go right out of the box, the battery arrived with a 70% charge and it took only 30 minutes on the charger to fully charge, the grip thumb buttons almost make single handed use a reality.
+ The touch screen menus are created in a hierarchal outline of functions instead of the tree of features like those found Nikon SLR's. The Samsung has four menu items per page and six pages totaling 24 features with simple "Yes / NO" or "On / OFF" options. A Nikon and othe cameras have menus that require you to drill down to sub menus and sub sub menus and the Samsung avoids this frustration.
+ Crystal clear clarity even in low light conditions the Samsung performed admirably and in 1080 / 30p, or 1080/60i, or 480/60p.

I made the mistake of buying this camera sight unseen and without reading the reviews.
First, the good: takes wonderful pictures. I had an olympus 3.2mp 10x optical zoom camera. this one beats it in all modes I've tried including the super macro setting for ultra close ups.
Having said that, the engineers who designed this screwed the pooch so badly they need to be shot, hung, drawn and quartered, and their heads put on a pike. Same goes for the marketing morons who specified this product.
It takes 2 AA batteries. It eats them. Nope, rechargeable Nimh won't work. Not even the high capacity ones; too much power draw. You MUST use the lithium ion ones. Yeah, the $2 each AA lithium battery. Stupid engineers.
The reason it eats them is the large LCD display on the back is the ONLY way to take a picture; there is no viewfinder. Stupid engineers. The LCD washes out easily.
Second, the delay time to store the picture is ridiculous. I've tried faster SD cards to no avail.

I've been researching HD camcorders for sometime now and was thrilled to get this one. Of course with everything there is good and bad and I'll explain it all, there's a bit to cover.
First, the camera is heavier then it looks, which for me is ok because I know that its made with metal parts and not all plastic. Its very sleek looking and compact, smaller then I thought. Its a shiny metallic black which is also a fingerprint magnet.
The swivel handle grip is comfortable but I find that holding your hand with your fingers pointing down and using your thumb to control the buttons makes things more stable and comfortable in the long run. The buttons for the most part are placed well, the power button is a two hander but is out of the way so there is no accidental shut off.
The LCD screen...is a touch screen....WOW, its great, works very very well. Its very accurate and only needs a light touch. Yep another fingerprint magnet but its expected. All the settings and configurations are done

This seems a fantastic camcorder. Unfortunately, I cannot use it because it is not compatible with other equipments I have which use the PAL system. So, I had to return it. I was confused because I bought in the past other Canon products through amazon.com which have the possibility to switch between NTSC and PAL. The Canon VIXIA HF10 does not have this possibility. This said, I think it is a fantastic camcorder. Too bad that the product description available on line did not specify this important detail (NTSC versus PAL system usage)

I bought this TomTom GPS a month ago, and I am VERY pleased with it. The setup directions were easy to understand, and straightforward. The On screen Menus make the unit extremely simple to setup travel plans. I can honestly say that THIS TomTom GPS is definetly worth the money. Do yourself a favor, get one of these TomTom GPS units. It will make travelling a lot more pleasurable.

I was a little skeptical at first. This camera seems too good to be true while reading all of the specifications listed. But I really have to say that it lived up to all of my expectations. In a well lit area the picture is absolutely stunning--a sharp and true-to-life image. In darker rooms the picture doesn't get grainy at all from my experience. Obviously a darker room isn't going to be quite as stunning as a brighter one but I'm still impressed. The mic picks up wind but not to a distracting point. Burning to DVDs/Blu-rays is actually pretty easy as well. I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio and it imports the video and is easily edited. My computer isn't the most amazing, so the video may take a second or two to buffer before I can preview it but I've been cutting videos and burning them easily since I bought the camera just a couple months ago. The battery that comes with the camera doesn't last all that long (probably an hour+). I would buy the extended battery for something

I am sure that you can get much better quality picture and sound with a more expensive camcorder, but for the money this one is great.
A lot of people complained about the audio, but I haven't really noticed much of a problem. The video quality is maybe a little lower than I was hoping for, but it is still very good.
The best things about this camcorder are that it is very compact so you can always have it with you, it is very cheap so that you don't worry about breaking it, and it is pretty much idiot proof.

I bought 4 of these for a RAID5 setup in September. So far I've had two of them fail. One was a hard failure in which the controller stopped working completely, and the other is showing a lots of seek errors in the SMART data and tells me its going to fail soon. They both started clicking the heads (a symptom of a reset because of an error) just a few days after I got them.
Seagate replaced the total failure within a couple of days after I reported it, and now I have to ship them back the failed drive. I bought a new unit I'm expecting tomorrow as a spare replacement, and I will be reporting and shipping back the drive with all the seek errors soon.
The drives have otherwise been great, but 50% isn't such a good reliability statistic, and that's my primary measure for a drive.
On the other hand, I did buy two other drives from the same family, two ST3500320AS drives. They have been working away flawlessly in my workstation in a RAID1 setup since I got them.

I have had quite the myriad of camera in the time I've been doing video. I started using my Kodak Z812 IS Camera, which is a great camera, but takes less than steller video - even if it is 720p. I upgraded to an Aiptek Action HD Camera that offered 1080p video along with a host of other features. While this was a definite improvement over the quality of the Kodak, it was sorely lacking in many areas. Namely, the video was extremely jerky, you couldn't zoom the camera without the sound of the zoom being recorded, and the quality was less than steller. So, with a big trip to New Orleans on the horizon and an increasing interest in video I sprung for the Canon HF 10. I read a lot of reviews before I made my purchase. For me I knew I wanted a couple features but didn't care about others. As you read below, you'll find out why I made the HF10 my choice.
But first of a summary. The HF10 is a AVCHD Digital Camcorder that records up to 1440*1080 (widescreen) @ 12 Mbps or 1920*1080 @ 17

I bought this to replace a bad drive in a Buffalo RAID device. I identified which drive was bad, removed the bad one, installed the new drive, and waited for the box to copy information to the new drive. Completely painless.

I got this as a wedding present and it got some immediate use as it was used to film both our wedding and subsequent honeymoon. The low lit church was not a problem although we could have benefited from an external microphone. The picture quality was magnificent and I was extremely happy with it! The honeymoon came next and we charged off to New York City for a week with two 16GB SDHC cards (Great Buy: Transcend 16GB SDHC CARD (SD 2.0 SPD CLASS 6) with Compact Card Reader).
New York in all its glory on sunny days this camcorder just kept me happy. It was put to the test as well. Time Squre at night, views from the top of the Empire State Building, from ferries, during meals ... it was great and the resulting picture quality was outstanding even coverted to regular DVD instead of Blue Ray. Image stabilization was a major boon. At one stage we were on the ferry going to visit the Statue of Liberty and a dragon fly landed on my wife's purse. She zoomed right in it and the pictures

While it's true you could get this OEM for much less, I prefer buying retail for DVD burners.
I chose Sony because their customer service is great st honoring repairs. My last Sony DVD burner, which is quite old now, broke down after 1 year. I called Sony just to see what they would do and they replaced it ONLY because I purchased retail.
I'd recommend this unit. It's fast and pretty quiet except for the first 10 seconds when a CD is inserted.
I wish they would make a slot drive, though...

This a great frame, as everyone states.
As a tip, if you have trouble with your JPEG images that came from Photoshop, you MUST save these as Baseline "Standard" under the format options of the JPEG options. If you use Photoshop, you'll see what I mean.
Just click "Save As..." and be sure JPEG is chosen. When you click the "Save" button, the next small dialog box that pops up are your "JPEG Options". First thing in this dialog box is "Image Options", select whatever quality you want (I always go for the gusto and choose 12, max). Right under that, is "Format Options" with three choices: Baseline ("Standard"), Baseline Optimized, and Progressive, Scans 3, 4, or 5. I noticed that some of my photos (the ones that did not work with this frame, that show up as a fuzzy document icon with a red X emblazoned on it), had been saved as "Progressive" with 3 Scans... If you simply check the Baseline ("Standard") option, your photo will now display on the Photo Frame! Voila...
