One can not overestimate the WOW factor of the Samsung LN52A750 52-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color. In the LN52A750 Samsung has given the world brilliant picture quality and stunning style in a unit that anyone would be proud to make the centerpiece of their living room or entertainment palace.
Right out of the box the picture is impressive, although the factory settings are too bright and overly saturated. This is to be expected, however, as virtually all manufacturers tune their sets to stand out in store displays. After fine-tuning my set using Digital Video Essentials: Optimize Your Home Entertainment System (NTSC Component), I now have a virtually perfect picture. It was a tedious and time-consuming process, however, so my recommendation to the patience-impaired would be to hire someone locally to do the work using the latest test equipment. For most people it would be well worth the cost (est. $50 -$75) after shelling out a couple of G's for a state-of-the-art LCD

I'd like to give this 4.5 stars...I can't give 5, and 4 is too low, but amazon only limits this to whole stars, so 4 it is.
Got this item at a steal of a price from a local retailer who was desperate for business. That aside, I had done plenty of research prior to purchasing and after a week, I can say I have no "buyer's remorse" for jumping on a TV at a great price. We've been looking to upgrade our old 27" zenith tube and the choice has been between this set and the 50" Panasonic PZ85U. Finally getting the opportunity to see these side by side in the store was where I made my final decision. I thought the Samsung looked a little more natural than the Panasonic as I come from a photography background. The Panasonic just looks a little too warm for my taste next to this set. Now...I'm sure neither one of the sets were calibrated at the store, and honestly, I don't think anyone can go wrong with either of these TVs...both produce an exceptional picture, but I liked the A650 over the

After reading reviews about this tv before purchase,
and even though I wasnt sure about going with Philips,
(I'm partial to Toshiba/Samsung)
I got this HDTV, and after owning it for 1 week.
I AM HAPPY AND ITS SUPER CLEAR, COLORS ARE GREAT, HD Content Looks amazing.
I upgraded to this from a 34inch Toshiba CRT HDTV so I'm not new to the HDTV world. I also have my Xbox360 connected to this over component, and its putting out 1080p to the tv, and my cable tv is connected over HDMI.
Everything looks great. I watched Prison Break, Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Lots of HD on HDNet, and I can say without to much settings tweaking that everything looks great.
No motion blur, no ghosting, just visual pleasure. There is a built in setup wizard with some HD pictures to help adjust your picture settings when you first setup the tv, and they help alot. I noticed though I did need to set the contrast down to about 60%
and that was fine.
I'm happy, I love it, I would totally recommend it.

I purchased the television from best buy and got them to negotiate so I could have the television that day. I brought the tv home got it all setup. This is our Secondary tv so all the good toys stay on the big tv. I hooked it up to our U-verse through component cables. I hooked up our HD-DVD Player through the HDMI. All HDMI cables used are 1.3 cables. I then went to turn the tv on. As its booting up it sounds like my Playstation 3 making some melody when starting. Not the biggest fan of that stupid noise. I turn on the tv and set it to 1080i and watch. Everything is coming on clear as it should a lot better than our big tv but go figure for a 480 broadcast the smaller the better. Then I turned the tv on to the 1080i broadcast and just as it should the picture clears up and looks amazing. Next I grabbed a movie that was in "1080p" from our HD-DVD collection. I threw it in. I actually have to say that it looks better on the Samsung than our other tv (Mitsubishi 46" 1080p).

Amazing is the only way to describe it. For the longest time I thought LCD was the way to go. But decided to take a serious look at plasma tvs, primarily because of inherent motion lag and color reproduction issues with lcd. Fancy technology such as 120 Hz still does not mask the problem to a trained eye. Once I decided to go with Plasma, I did a comparision between Pansonic, Pioneer & Samsung. Did a side by side comparison at Best Buy & found the Samsung to have the best picture quality.

I purchased a Samsung 650 Plasma and was amazed.. Understand, I didn't trust the internet purchase and was not sure if this was really the product I wanted. (LCD vs Plasma) No doubt the right decision. Process was safe with Amazon and the delivery Company was great.. The delivery company called to confirm the delivery, respectfully conversed with us, and pulled the TV out of the box, placed it on the table and showed me it was working as planned. Asked if I wanted the box or they would hold it for me. More about the the 650. Did I say WOW... I just wanted a tv I would be happy with and not regret my decision. LCD vs Plasma.. Tough decision. My co worker does this for a living and talked me out of a LCD ..Great move..Distance from the TV is 8- 18 feet. Love watching Football and Hockey. Great angle viewing and glare is not there. (I get alot of sunlight in the room) Sound is of good quality.
Bottom line, we all want a quality product and a good price. With the money I saved, I bought cables,

I've been agonizing over an HDTV purchase for months. My 32" 480p Samsung CRT just wasn't doing it for me anymore. It was time to delve into HD now that it has been around for awhile with major tech innovations (1080p, 120hz, and more). I feel as though it will be many years before a *significant* new HD technology comes along. Here is a list of what I've been agonizing over (and probably you too) and why I made the decision for the 750.
1. LNxxa750 vs LNxxa650
I spent some time drooling over the LN52a650 until I came across LN52a750. I searched and searched to see if there was a performance difference between the two sets. I finally found someone with some knowledge and indeed the 750's use a different (more powerful) internal processor than the a650's. For how incredibly small the price difference is between the 650 and 750 I'm surprised people still shop the 650. Not to mention the regal-looking bezel on the 750, the woofer for those without a home theater system, and some other minor

I have now had a month to view this TV and I must say I have no complaints. First, the delivery was flawless. The shipping company was on time, unpacked the TV, placed it on my stand and even took away the packaging. The viewing experience has to be experienced to be believed. I have an extensive DVD collection and also a smaller Blu Ray collection so I tried a good sample of both to get a feel for the quality of the display.
The Blu Ray disks are absolutely gorgeous. The Blue Planet disk showed the blue color as well as my old Sony. I always thought that Sony did the best job with color accuracy especially the blues but I must say this set matched Sony if not exceeded it.
I am very pleased with this plasma especially considering the reasonable price.

Pros: Good picture, lots of inputs. Works well with my PC (DVI to HDMI cable). Cons: Gets a little hot. Menu kinda sucks. When you turn on the TV it doesn't go to the active input. You have to scroll with the remote everytime. Sound is ok, but i never expect too much from TV speakers. For the price this is a better choice than a Panasonic, imo. I've had it for 3 months now. Amazon white glove delivery was great.

The LN46A650 is indeed a beauitul TV, with full HD capability, and amazon offered an unbeatable price. BestBuy, Costco, even Circuit city could not come close to the price Amazon offered. So for starters, you know that the price is a bargain and cant be beat. But what about the Tv itself and how does it compare to other brands and how does it compare to other models within Samsung?
Well, during my research, my price budget was actually around 1200, and I was looking towards getting a toshiba of the same size 46" that offered a gaming mode and it seemed to lure me in. But after comparing both TV's, toshiba just wasn't worth it. Yes of course samsung was more money, but you get what you paid for. And since this is an investment that you will enjoy over the years to come, you don't want to go cheap but you do want to have somewhat of a flexible budget. I spent 300-400 more in order to get the 46A650 which offered just simply much more. 50,000 contrast ratio, 120Hz, a beautiful viewing angle

Ive had this tv for a couple of weeks now and I am extremly satisfied. The color is amazing, and the blacks are deep and rich. And for the price you wont find anything comparable. I did a lot of research before this purchase and everything I read pointed me towards this tv. CNET.com is a great site to do your research on. If your concerned about the red tint on the border of the tv, dont be. It doesnt light up or anything (I thought it did) and it is hardly noticeable. Dont let that sway you one way or another.
The price on amazon is, as usual one of the cheapest around. There was one other site that was less expensive but I never dealt with that web site before and shipping was extra. When I purchased this tv from amazon it was only about [...]bucks more and the shipping was included. Also the shipping was white glove into my living room and actually arrived a day earlier then they promised! They did call me ahead of time to make sure it was okay they delivered early and of course I said

I did all the research, read all the reviews, found the best price here on Amazon and pulled the trigger. Delivery was on time and flawless. As reported by everyone else, the picture quality is nothing short of phenomenal. One thing to remember is for DVD movies to turn off the "auto motion" setting otherwise it looks like you are watching videotape recordings. I watched Iron Man and the characters looked unnatural, then I switched off the auto motion and it looked the way a movie should.
Bottom line, there is a reason everyone is handing out 5 stars. They don't regret this purchase and neither will you.

I purchased this TV from Amazon just over a month ago. At first I was hesitant buying from Amazon in case I needed to return for any reason, I knew it would be a hassle (reshipping the item and all). So I went to my local Best Buy and Circuit City where the TV was $700 more and asked if they could match it (it would be easier to return it there if need be). Best Buy would only come down to $100 over the Amazon price, and then you'd have to add the 10.25% Chicago tax, which is another couple hundred dollars (Amazon had free shipping on this item). Also, Amazon dropped the price $127 AFTER I ordered the TV and BEFORE it had been delivered. After calling their great support line they were kind enough to reimburse me the $127. I have absolutely no complaints in ordering from Amazon.
I did a lot of research using several websites and publications (CNET.com, Consumer Reports, etc.) and this TV always ranked in the top for 10 for 50" and larger LCD TV's. Then I went to the stores in

Since everyone's got their own issues and configuration, I'll talk about our configuration, not just the TV itself.
Bottom line: this TV is fantastic.
We just got it along with the Samsung BD-P1500 1080p Blu-ray Player and a cheap HDMI cable. Amazon threw in two free Blu-ray disks. For a couple of bucks a month we've upgraded our Netflix subscription to Blu-ray.
Delivery of the TV was simple--we inspected for physical damage, checked the TV to make sure it worked, and sent the deliveryman on his way.
We get over-the-air TV, not cable or satellite. I just plugged in the antenna cable, powered up the TV. In a minute it found all the channels (regular and DT and HD), set itself up, and was good to go. The only mistake it made was on Daylight Savings Time--it thinks it has already ended, so I had to manually reset the time.
Stunning picture, elegant design, right-out-of-box set-up. The Samsung Blu-ray remote works perfectly with this TV. It's a little cleaner layout than the nice but

I couldn't be happier. The picture of the local HD is WOW. I never seen a TV with such clear picture. It's theater like...it looks absolutely shocking...the picture is as good if not BETTER than theater picture in my opinion. If you're watching a movie in HD or a show in HD, you feel as if you're right up there at the theater because the picture scream out to you and you feel like you can reach out and touch the characters. I am actually embarrassed that the characters on TV look THAT clear because i feel like i am invading their privacy because you can see every wrinkles they have, pimples....whether their clothes are dirty...it's THAT AMAZING! I also like the fact the the picture size adjust itself as they shown on the screen. A lot of TVs don't do that..and as result, you get bad blurry video in certain segment of video...be it commercials or whatever...you name it!! The sound ain't bad either...it's above decent. You can always hook up to a sound system.

I spent a lot of time looking around for a good tv. After reading many reviews and all the horror stories I decided to go with the 650 series. Great picture right out of the box, you can play with some of the settings if you want to adjust to your room. Spoil yourself on some HD channels or HD gaming. SD tv will never look the same.
On a side note find out who your white glove shipper is and contact them about the delivery date, I got my tv 4 days before the "estimate" date doing so.

Wow! Look at that picture. That is what I have been saying in the last 10 days whenever I watch TV, DVD or Blu-ray.
After many visits and online browsing, I was sure my next TV would be a Samsung. Sony was my brand of choice for TV for many years. I chose Samsung for picture quality and value. I was almost sure on the 46A650 until the price gap dropped to less than $100.00 and a chance to view both TV side by side on the same material at my local store. Despite many stated the different between 650 and 750 are extra woofer, saved materials in the 1GB and USB video capability on the 750, I noticed brighter picture, more contrast and more neutral coloring on the 750 compared to the 650. I am assuming both TVs had factory default setting, as in most large retail stores.
Let's get the imperfection out of the way first but those are minor and not deciding factors for most.
Yes, my TV was manufactured on 08/2008 and the "halo effect" is there. I noticed that even on a brightly lighted store.

Let me start off my saying that this TV is amazing! I was first contemplating on getting the 5 series (Ln52a550) larger screen @ 52" at little bit more in price but lower in specs (i.e. lower contrast ratio and no 120hz). But I decided to go with a 46" in more picture quality than the 52". I am very pleased with my decision! Before I purchased the TV on Amazon, I went to my local Best Buy to look at the picture qualities and compare the various models. Right away, I can notice the deeper blacks and the more vibrant colors produced from this 6 series HDTV. The "ultra clear panel" glossy coat on the screen (similarly to what you see in plasmas) attribute to the more vibrant colors and deeper blacks, which in my opinion really deliver on a great picture. Please note, this might not be ideal for those who can't control the ambient lighting in the room because you might see a little glare. However, this is not a problem for me.
One of my biggest dilemmas was this whole thing on the "120hz"

I have to say that my whole experience with purchasing this TV was easy and great. The delivery was complete with in 20 minutes. Now that I have an HD cable box hooked up, the picture is amazing. I can't believe how much detail I can see. I have not dug into all of the features, but so far, this TV is great and I look forward to watching it. Sports are not blurry at at, you can see the dirt come up from the ground with football.

Got a new camera, bought a new SD card & discovered it didn't work with my card reader since it was SDHC. Found the MicroMate here and gave it a try. I was very pleased to find it works perfectly, is attractive, white (thus easy to see) and promptly bought another to carry in my camera bag to use while travelling. Cheap and effective little tool.
