I was really excited about getting this. It looked like a great deal and I jumped on it. It turned out I was going to be very disappointed. The tv arrived very quickly, about three days from purchase, and it was nicely packaged. When I opened it, I immediately noticed a lot of wear around the sides of the unit, where the paint was worn off and you could see the off-white plastic underneath. Looking past the cosmetic aspects, I was excited to plug the tv in and try it out. When I plugged the tv in and turned it on, the screen flashed for a second, and then it was only a blank screen. After trying different outlets, trying the remote, and various other methods, in case I was missing something. In the end, the unit was merely broken on arrival. I looked in the box and found the repair slip from an unknown repair company, that must not have done a good job.I really hope a lot of other people don

I think the picture quality on this little TV is wonderful. Yes, you do have to look at it somewhat straight on, but I think that's how most of us watch TV anyway! The sound is also great. Overall, for the price I think it's a really good deal for a great brand name TV. My friends all love it, and everyone says it seems larger than 19 inches because the picture looks so good. My only complaint, probably because it was refurbished, is there are some subtle marks on the case that appear to be from the storage and shipping in the bubble wrap, these are difficult to wipe off. Fortunately the screen was covered with foam, so no problems there!

I own a Panasonic 50 inch plasma TV - just can't rave about that TV. So, when I needed a 42 inch TV to attach to a PS3 - I was wavering between a plasma (yet again) and LCD tv (the first try). I know Panasonic Plasmas rock - but then again getting PC connectivity was very important consideration, Panasonic Plasma's didn't have a PC port (s-video ports are poor substitute for pc connectivity as picture quality is very very bad). For PC connectivity - you can't beat LCDs.
Made my mind to buy Toshiba Regza 42 inch lcd TV based on Reviews- Looked TVs at Circuit City, then again looked at Best Buy with my family. This LG set seemed to beat Toshiba both in clarity, and picture details in every one's opinion. Panasonic 42 inch (and 50 inch) 1080P plasma's (picture and) sound quality will blow any thing in 42-50 inch TVs and there is no doubt about it. This LG TV looks great - picture with PS3 in 1080P are stunningly beautiful, the set looks very nice and sound quality is good (and crisp) (but

Got this for the bedroom, and I just love it. The sound is great and has an excellent picture. The down side is the remote is not arranged very good, hard to find the channel return button, and it takes a long time to go to the next channel.

We bought this TV/DVD combo for use in a motorhome - it looked like a good solution for us. The picture and build quality were great but the sound level was very low, especially when playing a DVD. In an RV there is usually ambient noise from the A/C and kitchen appliances - these totally overwhealm the TV sound, even at it's highest setting. It is surprising that Toshiba would put so much work into a high quality product then get the sound system wrong. It would probably be fine in a small, quiet office but it didn't work for us.

I purchased this product from an Amazon vendor a month ago. How does it work? I have no idea because it would not turn on when we got it out of the box. The power light went on and that it was it. We tried to operate the integrated DVD player and of course it accepted the DVD but would not eject it from the unit. We sent it to Toshiba customer service and they told us after a week that they could not repair it because a part was on back order so they would send us out a new unit. Fine, I thought. I called back a week later to find out that the unit was on back order and it would be another week before the units would come back in. I called today, ten days later, and they told me that the units have come in but my order inexplicably has not yet been shipped. I was told to call back in another week if I do not receive the TV in the interim. I have asked numerous times for a refund and Toshiba repeatedly has refused.

I just purchased this TV from Circuit City on sale yesterday for $1099. Right out of the box, the picture was fantastic. I did tweak it a little--brought the brightness up a bit and the color down at bit, and it looks really good now. I have Time-Warner HD service connected via an HDMI cable--it's awesome. The black levels seem very good to me, and the clarity of the picture is excellent. The non-HD channels are very clear too, but obviously not as good as HD. I have the audio runnning via a digital optical cable to my Sony receiver. I did test the speakers on the TV itself--OK sound--not gonna rumble your living room, but that doesn't matter to me because I will never use them.
So, in conclusion, LG has a fine product here--look at this one compared to Sony or Samsung--it is just as good or maybe even better in my opinion, because you'll save yourself $300-$500 over the price of those models.

Well if you want to buy this to hook up to a home theater system and don't care that buy itself it has really bad sound then there should be no problems. My TV had a problem with the screen and so it was sent back but i don't suppose that is a usual problem so i wouldn't let that bother you.

I bought this Toshiba HD TV/DVD combo when my old (ten years) 15 inch Samsung failed. What a great TV this is! Absolutely spectacular picture, great sound, and Oh! such light weight. Plus, the price was superb and the shipping was two day air via FedEx.
I absolutely could not be happier with this purchase.

Got my big screen on friday 11th after ordering july3 wow! .for only $2.95 cent shippiing fhats only a weeks waitin folks. ive searched high and low for a screen this size everywhere on the net and just the s&h cost for most of them equals 3/4 of the price you pay for just this screen alone, eating up any savings if you find this $20-$50 cheaper elsewhere. the screen arrived neatly packaged and fully assembled which I didn't unpack until the 16th (the day my home theater seats were delivered). when i gingerly got this sucker out of the box and ready to mount iwas horrified to find that none of the screws needed to mount it were included (although the instruction manual specified which ones were needed) mounting was easy, all that was required was 2 anchors and screws one on each end of the casing. there you have it. first and foremostly, my review of this screen was based upon my panasonic ptax200u which has a dynamic contrast of 6000:1 and 2000 lumens of brightness i am going to start off

First of all, major KUDOS to Overstock.com. I love this site! I use it regularly with confidence for on-line purchases and would highly recommend it to others. Their prices are good to excellent and both product quality and speed of delivery blow me away. I requested no special delivery options, but this large, bulky item arrived within three days of ordering. I couldn't believe it when I saw the Fed Ex truck drive up.
Before purchasing this pull-down, 133" diagonal screen, I had done several months of research. I was looking for a screen with a 115" to 130" width and 16:9 viewing. I knew DaLite screens were top-quality. I was hesitant to go with another brand, but was afraid I couldn't find anything from ANYONE for under my $1000 budget maximum. Overstock sent an email obout a special $1 shipping promo. I clicked on the link, searched, and was thrilled to see four of these manual pull-downs available. With shipping included, they had the lowest price on the net. I immediately grabbed

We replaced an older panasonic 15" w/dvd in our kitchen with this unit and it was a big step up. No more squinting at scores in the lower corner from the third bar stool. Image quality and color saturation are very good. Artifacts from quick movement in HD media is fairly well controlled. Cabling on the back was clean and simple if you use a 90 degree connector for the cable. The only feature that does not measure up to the rest of the features is the audio. It is not that it is too soft as some people have written. It is that the sound spectrum for some sources seems clipped. It is not significant and there are audio out jacks if this is important to you. The bottom line is that we would not hesitate to buy this unit. It is well made and works well.

I bought this Toshiba back in May & I am still very pleased with it. I have two other Toshiba sets and I have never had a minutes problem with them. This TV has a clean high contrast picture and the sound is not bad for a set this size. I like it well enough to give it 5 stars.

Looks great. Has much better picture than comparable home brands of same size from Best Buy, etc. Replaces a bedroom 13" CRT w/VHS player. Brings in off-the-air analog and digital signals just fine. DVD picture quality is great, too. I've read other reviews which said sound quality was sub-par, but we think it's fine for our purposes. I'd recommend it to a friend.

The picture quality on this TV is excellent. I am currently on analog with substandard cable and a splitter in the attic (older house) and it still shows a nice picture HOWEVER the sound quality is not good. It is very disappointing. It takes the points away from the very nice picture. I have to turn the sound all the way up (100%) sometimes just to hear it good. I've never had to turn the sound all the way up on any TV. I am sensitive to sound. I'm usually turning sound down on TV's. I even mute commercials because I don't want to hear the sound. The sound I do hear is "tinny". I've played with the bass and treble and balance on the menu but it's still not what I feel it should be. I have cheaper brand TV's where the sound is much better. I'm so disappointed because I have a 37" Toshiba LCD TV in the living room and the sound on that one is fine. Don't know what happened here. I've considered returning it but I already threw the box away. I should have waited.

The TV has a great picture. The price was good; we bought it to replace an analog TV that was not functioning well with Dish Network in our oldest granddaughter's room. The problem came in trying to program it--I could not understand directions and called tech support. Got someone who was very rude; I could deal with that, but we have had a tornado and bad thunderstorms for the last month. Everytime the electricity goes out the TV has to be reprogrammed.

This product really delivers. Especially when you consider the price. Great picture, easy install and it was instantly recognized by SageTV and Beyond TV. There may be only one draw back; It is a white box unit and I do not believe it would be a good product for someone with little computer upgrade experience. It does not come with drivers, manuals, or literature of any kind. But, there was never a claim that it would. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants great performance at little cost but has the skills to deal with the install and configuration.

Have been looking to upgrade a kitchen set and add the DVD player all in one shot. Reviewed and looked at a number of sets from all the usual suspects. This one got the selection due to price, features, name and quality (have 32" "tube" TV and DVD player that are Toshiba as well as past laptops). Ordered on a Wednesday received on Friday (Supersaver is superfast!). We have enjoyed it so much we end up watching more TV in the kitchen then ever. DVD player is great and the whole setup was so easy. Our basic cable included 15 HD channels that the tuner picked up immediately and we were watching our first at home HDTV shows and concerts (love HDNet) right away. This will push me into a larger set in the living room a lot faster than I thought as the difference in picture quality is so much better that all I want to watch is stuff that comes in HD. Oh well X-mas is right around the corner. Picture quality, as you might guess is great, ease of operation has been no problem for this babby
