I tried twice to get the right card, second time thought getting some other type like the first one...
but got a completely different card.!! Oh the card had same model# but wasnt card first saw; second one was totally different with box model# different, and card same model#! BOTH were ddr2 agp's, and ordered a ddr agp card both times. Didnt know how this mixup happened but both cards seemed to have same model #'s but were different looking(one dp blue one green)stock errors/and possible shppg on second order. Second order, got $5.00 off and kept card for later on. They do have grt service and otherwise wld still buy from them as i hve for 2 yrs!! The card is not at fault just couldnt give it good score----not installed in any machine as changed to a pci board now! Look? its nice with all extra's---cable(Y), manuel, adapter, and has wallppr frm nvidia frm cd rom enclosed Nicer model too with dvi-vga,and s-video also. So If want to...buy it seems like nice card otherwise but no fan..just

I have been tracking this product and t220hd, t240hd for a while. The $30 Samsung rebate has been around for a while before Amazon reduce price for T260hd. But consider tax (8.25% for us in texas) in local stores (plus $520-$540 product price), or $25 shipping charged by the only potential candidate seller newegg, Amazon is still the first choice I would make. And then comes the price drop, which is amazing to me because i list the three models in my wishlist for easy comparison of their prices, and i find out t240hd and t260hd are both listed for the same price.
So I bite the deal and add 3.99 for one day shipping, it just came this morning. The product simply blow my mind off, especially when i hook up with my xbox 360. I play the two demos fifa 09 and need for speed most wanted, the graphics are out of this word gaming quality. Then I connect my wii, and it's such great improvement compared with my previous monitor (gateway hd2200 which also has hdmi and component input). I have always

This is truly a keeper. This is the best card I ever had and worth every penny. Not too much a big fan of the latest tech out there so obviously, I have no complaints at this time. I f there was a complaint, it would have to be that these cards are not compatible with Vista. Well, I have XP Pro, so I may reserve that complaint for later. As for now, this is a really good card!

I just want to address a few things. For viewing television, the picture is amazingly good. Playstation 3 looks awesome... literally the best that I've seen.
When used as a monitor... The color profile for any PC monitor is always controlled by the graphics card, so you have to go into the settings of your graphics card and tweak everything to make it look right... once you take the time to do that, it looks great.
The 'auto tune' feature for adding channels takes a long time and doesn't work that great, but any channel that you punch in will automatically be saved, so it's not a big deal. Analog signals take a couple seconds to tune in, but digital signals are quicker. Sometimes analog signals won't tune in on the first try, but not often.
There are no standard A/V inputs (RCA yellow, red, white). The verticle viewing angle could be better. There is really no way to mount it (although it has an Ex-Link port for hooking up to a motorized mount...???).

This card is amazing. Of course I went from a 7300GS to this, so there really isn't a comparison when going from a low end card. One warning to potential buyers. Make sure you have adequate cooling for this card. You will see through numerous reviews that this card runs very hot. Mine actually elevated my Case temperature high enough to set off CPU overheating alerts. I had to revamp my case cooling to accomodate this card. After that though, everything works flawlessly. Just makesure you have a case with ample cooling capablilty. Grid Racing looks amazing!!!

A very expensive video card, and a good choice if you only want a single card solution. Depending on the resolution you choose to use will determine the overall or perceived performance. I have tested this card with the 3007 HC 30" monitor from Dell and it performed very well, at these resolutions you will not be able to set all settings on high without performance loss. I play a lot of online shooters and am mainly concerned with view distance and frame rate. I generally force 8x anisotropic filtering for better view distance and clarity, while turning special effects such as smoke, heavy shadows, lighting effects and motion blur off to maintain frame rate. For a 60Hz monitor a 120-125 frames per second is ideal when combined with a 2000 dpi mouse (or higher) set to 1000Hz (reports per second). The result will be butter smooth motion and extreme head shot value. I currently run this card on a Sceptre 37" 1080p monitor (HDTV) through DVI to HDMI at 1920x1080 @ 60Hz. Excellent results, I

I'd get this.
I got this a couple days ago at BestBuy, which allowed me to look at it in person before buying.
One thing many people seem to forget is that first and foremost, it's a computer monitor. I got it because my Dad has poor vision and he needed the 25.5" screen size to see anything. As a monitor, it's fantastic. He's currently using the VGA port in the back to input video and his Intel Integrated Graphics processor is more than up for the task.
I've played PS3 games on it, watched DVDs, used it as a monitor for my laptop and my Dad's desktop, and it's basically perfect. I even did lag tests using a timer that outputted up to 1/1000th of a second (the monitor only refreshes at 60 Hz so it'd only see 1/100th of a second changes). There's no lag. Playing games will not cause lag on this HDTV, unlike many other LCD HDTVs.
The only thing that's not perfect about this is that it doesn't look good from the back (cables stick straight out and there's no cover), and there's no VESA

This is an outstanding mid-range performance card: It's reasonably priced, reasonably powerful, well-supported and stable, and runs quiet. It's well made and feels solid; no cheap components here. The overclocking of the XXX edition and the GDDR3 means this card is notably faster than other 8600s.
It's easy to set up, unlike higher-end cards: no special 6-pin PCIe power connector needed, no PCIe 2.0 slot required, no worrying if your power supply has enough juice to drive it, no worrying if that extra long high-end card will fit across your MicroATX mainboard.
Very few other cards will give this level of performance as a straight-forward drop-in on your average consumer desktop PC. Of course, if you're willing to upgrade other components, deal with cooling issues, etc, you can get higher performance for a higher price. But for this effort-level and this price, this card is hands-down the best.

This card is just awesome for the price. It's super fast. It's ridiculously cheap. It runs cool. It doesn't require a lot of power. (I'm running it on a Dell with the stock 305 watt PSU) What else can you ask for? If you're looking for a graphics upgrade, and don't want to spend a fortune, then this card is a winner.

Thank you EVGA ! This card is great it plays everything at max !I can crank up every game I have to high settings and it doesnt even flinch. I had a XFX 8800GT and sold it to a good friend because i wanted something with more power that could handle games like Crysis. The overclocking software is great you can set everything exactly the way you need it !The only con would be its size, its enormous about 4 inches tall and 10.5 inches long its a monster.

After reading the reviews I went out yesterday and picked up this card.
I have spent about 10 hours of pretty hard use and it has not glitched yet.
NOTE: the box does come with adapters to go from 2 4 pin to 1 6 pin power plugs, of course your powersupply still needs to be up to the task. I have a 550 watt supply but it only had 1 6 pin plug, so I was concerned I would have to "rig" something. I am running a Nvidia motherboard 2 gig ram, Q6700 processor overclocked to 3.2 ghz and 3 seagate 750 gig and 1 500 gig internal hard drives and have not had a issue. I have a systemax built system (BTW - not counting extra hard drives total out of pocket for system was ~ 1000.00 - before this card - that included the 8600).
I originally had a Nvidia 8600 - upgraded to a new 9800 - took that back and exchanged it for this. It has handled everything I have thrown at it - f.e.a.r. - crysis (High - running dx9), halflife 2 and several highdef movies.
For the money (heck, forget the money even)

At the 200 dollar price point, your choices right now (August 2008) are basically the HD4850, and the 9800GTX (or 9800GTX+). Both cards are excellent values for the price, but ultimately I went with the 4850 for two reasons. The first reason is that the 4850 is single slot (compared to the 9800GTX being two slot, and a bit longer I believe). The second is that the 4850 doesn't use as much power as the 9800GTX (and I'm using it with a 430watt Antec power supply, which is lower than the recommended 450watt for the 4850.)
The reason I give the 4850 4 stars and not 5, is that ATI has released this card (and let it sit for a month now) with drivers that do not work. What I mean by this, is that the drivers don't properly tell the fan on the card that it needs to spin, when the temperature of the GPU core gets to a certain temperature. The result of this is that the card will idle at 90 celcius, and go over 100 celcius at load (which is not good, trust me). The problem applies to all 4850's

I bought this card because it's better than the original 9800 gtx
pros
-better fan speed at 100% takes the card as low as 39 c in an ambient of 40 c yeap i live in the caribean. the old one i had a 8800 gts at full fan speed it only came down to 54 c, you cant compare such a great cooling system. measurements made at iddle not load.
-better clock and overclock speed
-takes hot air out of the case
-i can play crysis with no flags, before i had an 8800 gts only gave me 26fps now 45 fps at 1280 x 1024
-for the price is very good
cons
-long card 11 inches it touches the rear end of my hard disks.
other thoughts, i was goin to buy the 4850 form ati but it's fan dosent take out hot air, also the card is way hot, even at iddle it's 77 c with full fan speed.
i will keep on updating the review
new stuff before in 3dmark 2006 was 10,850 marks
now 16,700, very good score, i have a quad core also.

I purchased the T240HD for usage as a computer monitor because of a long history with Samsung monitors being absolutely top notch. Unfortunately this product while being pitched as a monitor, makes a great TV but not a great monitor.
The resolution is very good (1920x1200) and it's very attractive and stylish.
There is no vertical height adjustment (typical for a TV but important to have in a monitor). Your desk / monitor stand had better be at just the right height. The edge is highly reflective and creates bad glare around the picture in a work environment. The adjustments are typical TV adjustments but not monitor adjustments (there is no horizontal or vertical position adjustment).
I've used Samsung monitors for many years and recommend them to my clients. When I finally purchased a HDTV I bought a 46" Samsung which is excellent. The T240HD makes a great HDTV but I regret purchasing it as a computer monitor.

So there is no mistake, this review is for the Samsung T240HD. It appears that others are posting reviews here for some other product because there are no cons to this HDTV/Monitor. I read the specs posted by Samgung before I purchased the T240HD and was impressed. I already own a 52" 1080p HDTV so to compare the T240HD, it is a fabulous 1080p HDTV and a spectacular computer monitor. It handles all inputs perfectly. I have a Playstation 3, a PC, and digital cable (no cable box) hooked to it. All modes are clear, sharp and bright. The remote is full featured and it handles Blu-Ray as expected. I paid $479.99 after shopping and watching the net.
Why would anyone want to wall mount a 24" TV?
For the 500 buck range, nobody else comes close in quality and features.

I purchased this for multi-purpose use...Blu-Ray Player capability, video editing, HDTV and DTV. As far as style goes, this gets a Grade A. The options menu is easily accessible via the remote included. Two picture options are available for HD aspect ratio: 16:9 setting, and "just scan," which appear identical to each other, both having letterbox on top and bottom so that you get full 1900X1080p HD. The HDTV ATSC tuner included is great. A cheaper alternative to full hd picture if you don't want to settle for 720p. I must disagree with the previous comment about the color. I have adjusted the color through the TV settings and also using the Mac display calibration tool. Picture looks better than the last three monitors I returned, 2 samsung, 1 HP 2207hm.
Anyways, I scanned for over air channels, got 13, scanned for DTV cable channels, got the usual 1-99, but also was able to find several HD channels outputting in 1080i right now. Seems a few are test channels until Feb. 17, 2009 when

I purchased this for a future proof TV, a Blu-Ray Player for the Playstation 3, and some video editing. I think for $500 this has to be the best value option in the HD market right now. Even if it is a TFT panel monitor.

I bought this monitor in the last week and own a few other LCD's around the house even very expensive top end sony bravia xbr's. I have to say this is up there with my new favorite LCD's in the house.
Looks:
The housing (screen bezel) on this monitor is stunning in design. It looks like a clear thick candy coating of plastic was formed around the monitors frame. You can see the light refract around the edges of the thicker clear plastic and it looks really eye catching. Considering buying another this week and using them in a dual monitor setup. Even though this is a touch of color (red) in normal lighting conditions you dont even see much of the red (only at the bottom), normally it looks almost pure black at the core of the clear coating. However, if you shine a flashlight or very bright light on the montitor's frame you can see its all dark red and not black. I wasnt sure I was going to like this whole touch of color thing but now that I own it I have no objections. The rear of the

I think Samsung, in their hurry to bring the product to market, is shipping the T240HD without features that they have advertised.
1. The remote they have pictured in the online manual they have posted on their website is not the same as the remote I got. My remote has a button for SRS. The online manual remote does not.
2. Samsung and its retailers advertise that the monitor has SRS Surround XT built in. But when you press the SRS button on the remote, the monitor comes back with "Not available".
Has any one of you gotten the SRS to work?
I think this is a case of "early adopters beware". At best, Samsung may have made a mistake in advertising. At worst it is false and misleading.
SRS may not be a deal killer in your situation, But if it is missing, what else is not up to the specs advertised?
I would love to hear from others about this.
