Sony BRAVIA 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Were it not for my current problem, I would rate this TV a 4 or 5. I did exhaustive research on LCD televisions and made repeated trips to stores to compare picture quality and features. I gravitated to this particular set for its small footprint (bezel) around the screen, the exceptional picture quality and the Sony name. I have always known Sony TVs to be high quality and reliable........until now.

I babied this puppy on delivery, as if it were fine crystal. It sits on top of a cabinet, free-standing, with plenty of ventilation in a large room. For 23 days it worked great. Then a powerful windstorm knocked out power in NE Ohio and took down cable across the region. The following day I had the TV on throughout the day as I waited for cable to be restored. Late in the afternoon I noticed vertical lines across the screen instead of simply a blank screen.

The set was totally unresponsive via remote or otherwise. It didn't even work with my Sony DVD player --just random vertical

Samsung 46" Class 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
For those worried about the "halo effect" some have complained about, good news...Samsung is aware of the issue. Newer reviews of this tv have stated not even seeing the so-called Halo. That's because the latest models of the 750 (those made August on) have the new bezel that was created to defeat the Halo. For those who've already bought one....you can go on the Samsung website and they direct you on how to get a service technician to come to your home to fix the problem for free.

Samsung 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
This is an excellent TV, but it is not without a few flaws.

Pros: Brilliant picture with better black than I anticipated. Motion blurring is no longer an issue with these 120hz sets, which is great for sports fans or gamers. There are also plenty of connections for additional devices. It is a great TV...the best I have ever owned.

Cons: They have a great remote, but it is not universal (COME ON!) and thus will not control your cable/satellite box. I called Samsung to confirm this and they said they had issues with the previous model (too many consumer complaints) and removed the universal capabilities. ***By the way Samsung...you can also receive complaints for a LACK of basic features and this is one of them. The issues should have been resolved. Anyway, this will not be an issue for many who have more complex set ups and need a universal remote anyway.

The Anynet feature is a nice concept allowing you to more easily control numerous Samsung devices, like a BluRay DVD, simply;

Samsung 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I replaced a 56-inch Toshiba DLP rear projection set with this 46-inch LCD model from Samsung. At first, I was a little hesitant to drop my screen size 10 inches, and was even MORE hesitant about mounting such a large TV on my living room wall.

After a few weeks of research including trips to various electronics stores, reading reviews on CNET, Consumer Reports, and others, I learned that Samsung is moving to the forefront of the LCD industry, and I can definitely see why. After purchasing the TV and getting it up on the wall, I can't believe I didn't do this sooner.

The picture on the 650 model is amazing, even compared to my old DLP set (which had a pretty fantastic picture in its own right). To me, the most important facet of a TV's picture is the sharpness of an image (i.e. how rich and true its black levels are, and how crisp and defined images look). In this price range, I haven't seen another TV that even comes close to the image quality on the 650. High-definition programs in

Samsung 46" Class 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I have had this product for about two weeks now. I would have to say that the amazon price for this product cannot be beat by any other retailer. It took about 10 days to get the product delivered, but it was well worth it. The product was delivered with no scratches or dents and the person who delivered made sure the TV functioned right before he departed. The quality of the picture is just amazing, along with the Denon Receiver and Polk Speakers, this can't be any better. I still have trouble setting up the InfoLink stuff though, I am working on it :)

Bravia 46 Z Series LCD Flat Panel HDTV 120Hz Brushed Metal
Many folks are going for the samsung lcds because the blacks look blacker.
but those tv's have a glass screen that reflects everything. This tv is sharper than a xbr4 or xbr5 , those were last years models. the engine in this tv is equivalent to a xbr6. I replaced a great 50 inch sony sxrd
tv with this one. Sony's newer 52's didn't have all the features of this one. the s, v, and w's are fine tv's but they don't have deep color the new color standard that future discs will have. Nor do they have x.v. color which is here already and is used in digital photos. this one does. the w does have 24fps or film speed that words with a ps3 or blu ray player to show a movie in it's real speed. Of course this isn't a benefit for older dvd's as they are processed in a 2:3 rate anyways. that means that one frame is dropped for every 3 shown. but for blu ray this feature rocks. And like ALL lcds standard non hd tv looks ok but they don't put standard tv on in showrooms. so people take these

Mitsubishi 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
The name doesn't exactly set the blood rushing through your veins and your pulse pounding: Mitsubishi LT-46149 LCD Flat Panel HDTV.

But from the moment you see the picture, even with an ordinary digital cable or DVD signal, you're going to flip. I certainly did - and the picture was only the beginning of the fun.

If you're looking for a super-fast and concise review, here it is: superb video and beyond-belief sound.

And a lot of bells and whistles that I'll get into. After a few minutes with the LT-46149, I was thinking of Blu-Ray and HD cable, both of which I had little interest in until shortly after turning this unit on.

It was delivered via Amazon's White Glove service, which is a real convenience. They give you a delivery time window and then call when they are about 30 minutes away, a nice touch. The delivery service unboxes the unit - which is a marvelous thing, because the box is quite large. They mount the panel on its stand, make sure it works and will remove the

Toshiba REGZA Cinema Series 46-inch LCD TV
Ok, I am not a pro by any means. I am just your average person when it comes to electronics but I LOVE this TV! I am still amazed and can't get over the quality of the picture. I do my research ahead of time and frankly I agree with all the people who rate it tops. For those who don't like this tv, I have to ask WHY? The colors are great, picture is great and the small bezel allowed me to put it in a space the other 46" lcd tv's would not fit. Out of the box set up was easy. I went through the menu and settings no problem. I did have a question that I couldn't find the answer for in the manual so I called the 800 number. The phone didn't even ring on my end and I had a real live human being on the other end. How often does that happen? He was very helpful and nice. I bought it from amazon.com since they were an authorized etailer recommended by Toshiba and the price was better than my local store could even get it for. I had it within 8 days of ordering. This was my first major

Samsung 46" Class 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Perhaps most people will use the included stand, and set it on top of a console that is 18"-20" deep, so the thinness is more wow factor (the 950 LED is actually thicker). But when wall mounting, chosen to balance the height between seated and standing (centerline above floor 55"), thin was an important factor in my install. The side of the TV will be visible in the normal traffic flow through the house, so I wanted to get this mounted as cleanly and closely as possible so it wasn't going to shout "I have a wall HDTV" the second someone walked in the house. I had some challenges.

There are wall mount brackets that are 1/2" thick (they don't provide tilting adjustment). Since the power cord and patch cords project out the back, I tried to accomodate that by using a recessed AV mounting plate. In the end, I was able to get the TV to sit just 1" from the wall. Routing 2 HMDI, component, SVHS, and audio cords behind the set was also a challenge. For those who are wanting to take this

Samsung 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Background:
After doing extensive research across the board, I ended up deciding I would probably like the Samsung A650 series. I went into BB to try and take a look for myself, the Full Gloss screen threw reflections all over the place, and bothered me quite a bit.

Now take the guts of the A650 and put it into the same package, with a semi-matte screen. Now you have a killer combination that looks amazing on the eyes.

Don't take my word for it, More Reviews:
-Consumer Reports loves Samsung LCD's, which are ranked #1

-Go to http://www.avsforum.com/ , check out the Forums->LCD, you can waste your life on this site, I'd say go for the Pro reviews of the A650, and you'll see why people love this TV

-Check out the reviews for the A650's here on amazon, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001413D94/

-Cnet's review of the A650, you will notice the only drawbacks they listed were "relatively expensive" amazon helps here, and "shiny screen reflects ambient room lighting" and the A630's semi-matte

Mitsubishi 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Here is a mom's perspective on this TV. In audiofile land, they talk about a component's "WAF" -- "Wife Approval Factor". In other words, if a system looks crummy, it doesn't matter HOW great it is -- it is still not a joy to have in your home. While I'm pretty tolerant in terms of the whole WAF thing -- even I was reaching my limit with our GINORMOUS Projection TV. I kept PRAYING that the thing would die so we would have an excuse to replace it!

We have had a HUGE (think sports bar HUGE) rear projection TVs since 1997. We splurged on the big screen TV when our first child was born figuring that we wouldn't get out much any more -- and we were right! We upgraded to a projection Toshiba HDTV a couple of years ago which we bought used on Craigslist and while the picture was ok, it didn't knock us over. The colors were washed out; the brightness was ... well, not very bright (difficult viewing during the day), and the screen showed handprints, nose prints (dogs and humans) and other

Mitsubishi 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I cannot stress enough how impressed I am with the picture on this television. My only previous experience with watching an LCD television is on a 42" LG. The LT-46149 is light years better than the LG, for both picture quality and sound, and I didn't think it was possible for one LCD television to be noticeably better than another.

My setup - we have a Wii, an XBox 360, a DirecTV HD DVR and a Panasonic DVD burner (not HD) hooked up to the television. Hooking everything up was incredibly easy (a plus) but what I absolutely love about the Mitsubishi is the fact that I can go and set up the television to recognize what's hooked up so things can be controlled by the one remote. But almost better than that is a tiny touch that has made a huge difference - when switching between inputs, I can NAME them, so no longer do I have to remember if the XBox is on HDMI 1 or 2, I can pick "XBOX" from the list. As I get older, that is the kind of thing that makes you realize someone really took usability

Sharp LC46D43U 46 LCD HDTV
Saw an outrageous price of $38.45 for this T.V. through My Office Source. Ordered it and immediately received confirmation email two days ago. Today I received the cancellation email and was given no reason for cancellation.

Sharp LC46D43U 46 LCD HDTV
Ordered this product in good faith at a price that was too great to pass up...Amazon conveniently stated that it was mispriced; so they were canceling my order and oh, by the way my Amex was never charged, which by the way is a lie. My Amex was charged through Amazon.com who was in fact given an authorization code. Then Amazon.com told me that they didn't even have this particular T.V. in stock or even sold it...well that's odd too, since here it is. I can clearly see that they do have it in stock.
If you made a mistake cool, pony up to it Amazon.com; but don't lie to the consumer about it. I Didn't really expect to get a T.V. for $40.00, but I also didn't expect to be lied to as to why you can't deliver on what you advertised.

Sony BRAVIA 46" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Less than 3 months after purchasing this TV it broke. It wants to power cycle every 15-20 seconds. Sony customer service can not provide an authorized repair center in my market area that is open past 5PM CST Mon-Fri. Sony wants me to take a vacation day to fix their defective product. I did not purchase their TV Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM CST, why should I have to have it fixed during those hours? Customer service has no more options for me except to write a letter to the review committee. I had to write a letter and I'm still waiting on a reply. Sony does not empower it's customer service employees the power to satisfy a customer who has a broken TV. I have never received this poor level of customer service on a product that was $1800. Unless you have an unlimited amount of vacation to have them repair your TV when it breaks stay away from this product!

Samsung 46" Class 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I spent a great deal of time researching flat panels. This seemed to be the best of the bunch. After standing in Best Buy for 2 hours looking at pictures side by side and talking with a sales rep, this was confirmed. Amazon's price was $600 less. The "white glove" delivery guys were great, set everything up without a problem. The picture is breathtaking. I say this having had a Sony wega w/ HD for the last 3 years. Picture quality is unbelievable. The sound from the TV is also fantastic. The biggest complaint I read about this unit before buying was the "touch of red" around the bezel and how distracting it was. You can barely even tell it's there, so I don't know what these people are talking about. I highly recommend this TV.

Mitsubishi 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Mitsubishi is the first to take LCD TV to the next logical step, they have added spectacular sound to a spectacular picture. When the first flat screen TVs came out they either had no speakers or speakers so bad you had to invest in a home audio system. Even today, many LCDs are plagued with sub par sound quality. I have a LG 37LG50 37-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Gloss Piano Blackthat has an excellent picture but I have to turn the bass and treble down to 0-15 so that loud sounds and explosions don't rattle the bezel that covers the speakers. Sound bar technology has become more popular due to the low quality of speakers in flat panel TVs and because people don't want to run wires all over their houses. I am sure with the advent of the 149 series the other TV makers are saying "Why didn't I think of that?".

Anyway, my wife wanted to replace our monster Hitachi rear projection CRT HD Ultravision (57S700)with a flat screen. I longed for our old house with the 5.1 surround. Our current living room

Bravia 46 Z Series LCD Flat Panel HDTV 120Hz Brushed Metal
As a previous owner of a Sony 40XBR4, I was skeptical of a Sony set that was not one of the XBR series. Consequently, I discovered the "Z" series which has most of the XBR features, but at an even better price.

The KDL-46Z4100/B is one great set with a picture to match. This model doesn't have the x.v color feature, but has all the other bells and whistles of the XBR for hundreds less.

The "Z" series features a TV Guide programming feature. Since most people have either a digital cable box or satellite receiver, I question how many out there could actually make use of this feature.

Checking out the Xross Media Bar setup menu it is easy to get lost in the amazing amount of controls available to the user. This may look like a minus, but it is really a plus.

LCD TVs are known for their slimness, but this model really outdoes the competition. With a one-inch thickness, it should fit most anywhere--especially on the wall.

If you are looking for a state-of-the-art LCD TV, look no

Mitsubishi 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Walk into a discount electronics store and you will be offered many reasonably priced LCD and Plasma HDTVs.

So prevalent is the price competition that it is easy to overlook that a high-end system such as this incredible Mitsubishi 46 in LCD may in fact represent better value than its low priced cousins. Every aspect of this system is designed to maximize the viewing (and listening) experience. As a result this unit does represent a much better overall value than the low priced HDTVs. Here is why:

We start with the picture, and to do that we should look at it in 1080p. I have a Sony BDP-S301 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player BD/DVD/CD Playback with Bonus HDMI Cable which connected quickly to one of four HDMI jacks on the set. The input jacks are all located on the back put are lined up vertically along the back. This is a nice touch as you know if you have ever wall-mounted a flat screen and need to add or change a component. It is an example of the user-friendliness that is incorporated throughout.
