a new model TV, the response from Toshiba was, "Well, we make a lot of TVs and some of these parts come from overseas".

I have had other Toshiba products and been very happy with them, but this experience with their customer service has turned me off of purchasing Toshiba products in the future.

The real kick in the pants... we even purchased the "extended warranty" when we bought the TV and it has done absolutely nothing for us.

The TV is really nice... when it's working but for the last month or so all I've had is a big dead black square hanging over my fireplace.

Something is disturbing is that before purchasing this TV I couldn't find any bad reviews of this TV (a few complaints about the "green problem"). After having the TV for a few months, I see that other people are having the same type of issues with their TVs and getting the same response from Toshiba's customer service department.

If you are getting ready to purchase this TV, I'd wait a few more months to see if any more bad reviews pop up around the Net.

I recommend using a special cable that transitions from a DVI connector on one end to HDMI on the other. It will cost only a few dollars more than an adapter, if you purchase a three or six foot cable.

SDTV quality is fine when at its best and fairly bad with other broadcasts. DVD's look great and High Definition content is awesome. HDMI and DVI cables are well worth the expense.

In summary, I highly recommend the Toshiba Regza for those that view the TV from within the limited viewing angle, want enhanced quality when viewing DVD's, and/or plan to watch High Definition content. I believe you will be very disappointed, and definitely will experience poor picture quality, if you try to view the picture while sitting in the wrong position, or use substandard connections and watch primarily SDTV. If low price is priority, the Olevia and Vizio are fairly competitive. If picture quality is most important, but at a cost under $2,000, then Samsung has the best TV. Reliability seems to be up for grabs in the long run, but Toshiba and its Regza have not been problematic when compared with other manufacturers and models, and definitely a flat panel is more reliable than the Rear Projection TV. for some people, but untimately, I couldn't stand the green shift in the picture and returned it. Then I purchased the Samsung LNT4661 and I'm not looking back. The Samsung definitely has more natural and accurate picture colors.

Expo - and I got a 42" by mistake. While annoying, they fixed the problem promptly and politely - so I guess that's a good test of a store) Installation to the Peerless ST650P (a great deal on amazon also, you'll pay twice as much in a store) mount was easy - a bit heavy for one person but I managed.

The TV takes about 4 seconds to turn on, which is a bit annoying. The picture on HD is great. Non-HD can be a bit disappointing because the screen is big enough to show all the imperfections in the broadcast. But I suspect more HD channels are on the way. Overall I'm happy with this TV.

were very courteous and polite. They took the television out of the box and set it on my entertainment center, took away all packaging, and that was it! From ringing my doorbell to driving away in the truck, the delivery probably took about 5 minutes.

So, how's the TV, you ask? It's been fantastic, as far as I can tell. I don't know much about LCD's, but the picture is sharp, the blacks are black, and there are no "trails" when you watch fast-moving shows. I'm a football/baseball fan and have no complaints whatsoever. I also have it hooked up to my xbox 360, PS2 and Wii (through component cables, not hdmi) and it looks and plays wonderfully.

All in all, the television is incredible, the service was wonderful, and I'm recommending both to everyone I can! Thanks for a great experience, Amazon.
