Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
This is a very nice TV. I have had this tv since about 7/30/08.

Pro's: The TV has a very good tuner, I was able to hook it to my basic cable with Comast and was able to get about 16 HD channels and 10 or more digital channnels. I haven't tried over the air tuner. HD channels look great, Standard Def channels look good. I have this set up in the bedroom and it works great for this purpose. 720p is all you need in this size of TV. The Favorite channels you can set up are great, on the remote you have favorites a to c and you can set 4 channels under each letter.

Con: Remote has to be pointed directly at the TV but not too bad

Other thoughts: I still haven't hooded this to my Direct TV receiver yet, so I can't comment on how the digital picture looks like from it! Nor have I gamed on it yet. TV does have a game setting and game timer!

If you are in the market for a 32' LCD and want a quality brand name for a good price with plenty of options this is the one for you!

Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
This is my first HDTV (I am an electronics engineer so, it took very long for me to buy one that i like). But this tv blows me off. Great natural colors, no bright and deep colors as in other samsung and toshiba Tvs.

The Menu is simple but even then it gives wide range of adjustments. Don't be attracted by the video reviews of the other TVs given all over the internet about the different options you can change on your TV because you know what, not many people use all those menu items. This has got bunch of inputs to it and it also have a headphone jack. I added my Bose system to this TV and it really gives a great Movie Experience.
The edges can be a little too glossy, but if you are a person who likes to keep the things neat, you will love the gloss.
Very useful menu item as skipping the Inputs makes this more versatile.
16 ( 4 x 4 ) Customizable favourite channels make life a little more easy. I bought this TV for the olympics and the NBC gives a HighDefinition Feed using the regular

Samsung 37" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
This TV has an excellent picture but poor, tinny, sound. The sound equalizer needs to be set high on both the low and upper frquencies to produce acceptible audio. A separate sound system would be a plus. Also the PIP function operation is poor and difficult to set up. It requires a separate sound setting when PIP is activated. The manual is not clear as to what component requirements are needed to activate PIP. The W-Link feature works very well to display digital pictures stored on a camera memory or storage device.

Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
I read many reviews some positive and some negative, I went with the positive ones and my own experiences with other Sharp products. I have had a Sharp Aquos LD37D44U 37-Inch LCD HDTV for about a month and must say that I am very pleased with it so far.

The picture quality is very good and it has every connection that you may want on the back. I am using the HDMI connection from a HDTV Verizon FIOS Box.

I have no problems with any lines or dead pixels as some have written about. If you are looking to buy a solid TV and not over pay for a name, then consider buying one of the Sharp Aquos LCD TVs.

Sharp LC37D64U 37-inch Aquos HD LCD Television
I searched a around and found only this TV with reasonable price range and positive reviews to maximize my 38 in cabinet. After 2 weeks of receiving the new unit from Amazon.com white glove delivery, the TV is awesome, performed as promised and my brother-in-law wants to get one too for his bedroom(he just got a new Samsung 46in). Oh and I just found out Amazon.com dropped another $100!

Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
I am very pleased with my decision to purchase the Sharp Aquos LC32D44U 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV. The picture clarity is excellent and the screen size adequate for movies and gaming. For the price, I haven't seen a better 32" 720p...

Samsung 37" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
This is an outstanding, phenomenal set for the money.

Its only real shortcoming is that it will show up the mediocre quality of any sub-1080p legacy devices you connect to it. You will also have to make sure that you grasp the interconnectedness of the various modes and picture adjustments so as to get the very best out of whatever you are playing through it. Well transferred DVDs, with a good upscaling 1080p DVD player, will look stunning. Mediocre DVDs will look at least much better than you thought possible. Older 480p progressive scanning DVD players will look, well, mediocre.

Standard definition cable TV through the RF antenna input looks amazingly good, all things considered, if you take the time to tweak the display profiles to accommodate the very limited, narrow bandwidth palettes of those sources.

That said, it's a real stunner with a good 1080p player. There is a noticeable quality difference between 1080i component video and 1080i or 1080p HDMI video. You should try and

37" BRAVIA L-Series LCD Flat Panel HDTV KDL-37L4000
We bought this Sony HD TV based on the comments here. We are very happy with the set. Glad we bought it, picture is wonderful. The Amazon free delivery and no tax is a great deal. We were totally satisfied with the Amazon White Glove Delivery service. Ordered the set on Friday Nite was delivered and set up on Thursday 8:15 am! Wow that was way ahead of the estimated time delivery amazon gave.

Samsung 37" 720p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
After shopping around at 5 local stores, comparing it to other similar TVs in person and reading some online reviews, I found that the Samsung LN37A450 has one of the best quality screens around. Better than Sony or ViewSonic.

Unpacking and setup was a breeze. I didn't even read the setup and users guide. It was a no brainer to unpack, plug-in and setup.

Overall setup/menu structure is implemented very well also. The buttons on the remote just "make sense" when navigating around the settings menu to adjust the various image and audio settings, etc.

I have it connected to my media center PC in the livingroom, and the computer signal quality via the VGA port was much better than I expected(although I will upgrade the PC to HDMI very soon).

Overall screen size appears very big--it's a 37", but it almost looks like a 40/42".

The outer casing is very sharp. It's a slick looking casing. I also liked that Samsung included a cleaning cloth with the TV.

Good purchase.

Toshiba 37" 720p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I wanted a medium sized bedroom HDTV without paying a high price for a premium model. After reviewing 37 inch HDTV's, I decided the Toshiba 37AV500U had great reviews and it was relatively inexpensive. Installation and setup with standard cable went fine. The picture was good, but not great (I am spoiled with 1080P on two other high end sets that I own). All was well until I tried to delete unwanted channels. The manual says you can hide channels in the setup menu. The deleted (hidden) channels kept coming back, and worse yet unused cable channels started to appear when the channel up/down buttons were used. I contacted Toshiba customer service and basically got nowhere. They said there was an update for the TV that would fix the problem. I had the local Toshiba service rep come out. He said there was no update for this TV. He tried in vain to delete/hide channels and gave up. He agreed it was a defect in the TV. I could not find a report online about this problem, so maybe

Samsung 37" 720p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
After doing some decent research I finally decided on this Samsung. This tv is a beauty. I'm very happy with it.

First I did some internet research. I knew I wanted at least a 37" and price was an issue. I found no professional reviews on this particular model so I relied mainly on customer feedback (CNET had a favorable review of the 32" version). All over the web comments on Samsung tvs in general are almost universally positive. I was happy about that because I've always been confident in the Samsung brand. They make quality products. So I went to the various retail stores and did a lot of staring at the various models. I went to quite a few different stores because I wanted to see the same models with different hookups and signals. To be honest, you really can't go wrong with most of the top brands. Give or take minor differences most of them look good. Sony, LG, Panasonic etc. But, it comes down to trusting your own eyes. There was something about the picture on the Samsung that

Samsung 37" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I am one of the most consumer-conscious buyers you are ever going to meet, so Samsung to me is a no-brainer (I am still using a Samsung VCR from over 15 yrs. ago). My concern was the shipping deal... free "white glove delivery?" Well, here's the true low-down as of Saturday July 19th 2008. My HDTV is now 4.5 hours in my possession and I had to make sure the CEVA shipping guys get their props.

Notice that I intentionally wrote the day... Saturday delivery. The tracking went like this: I ordered first thing Wednesday and received a message on my home phone Thurs. before noon to set up an appointment for delivery -- the earliest choices were 9-1 Fri. or 1-5 Sat., I chose the latter, even though I assume that if I were home earlier, that I might have received it later that same day. [note: the origin was in-state]

The CEVA guys left a well-detailed message and I was able to set up an appointment without delay. On the day of delivery, the white-glove guys called at 12:30 pm to let me

Sharp 37 in. Class LCD HDTV
This is my first purchase of an HDTV after doing some extensive research. I probably should have waited for a sale, but I could not wait. This Sharp is a newly released (2008) model that is very nice for just being a 720p HDTV. (I will buy a fancier 1080p/120Hz t.v. later when I have more money).
The (37") size was just what I needed for a nook above my fireplace.

The picture in the store at the local wally-mart was horrible! I was comparing a Vizio and this Sharp side-by-side and the Vizio was clearly brighter & text was much sharper. I then realized that the Vizio was connected via component and the Sharp was connected via co-ax. Make sure that you are comparing apples to apples! I played around with the menu all to no avail in clearing up the Sharp when I realized the cable input type.
The picture is fantastic for OTA (air) HD and SD DVD using S-video. I am not much of a gamer so 2 HDMI inputs were sufficient. It has a digital audio out as well as standard composite and

Sharp LC37D64U 37-inch Aquos HD LCD Television
I've had the LC37D64U for almost a month now, and I am very pleased with the TV. The TV's relatively light weight makes it simple to move around when wiring things up. The picture looks good right out of the box, and after some tweaking using a couple of picture calibration DVDs, it looks even nicer (there are a lot of picture control settings if you want to dig in). I get HDTV channels over an antenna and the 1080i broadcasts look amazing if the broadcaster hasn't compressed them too much. I don't have Blu-Ray yet, but my DVD player upconverts to 1080p and makes the movies look terrific. My Xbox 360 games look better than ever. The best part about this TV is that it is the narrowest 37-inch LCD on the market, which means it can barely fit into my entertainment center with a whisker to spare. I was almost resigned to buying a 32-inch until I happily discovered this model just in time.

I send all the audio to my 5.1 surround receiver, so I can't comment on the quality of the TV speakers.

Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
Easy set-up and great picture for the price. 6ms refresh rate makes the picture blur at times, but happens very rarely. Owned it for one month with no problems.

Samsung 37" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
When I first got my PS3 several months ago, my next plan was to get a worthy Full HDTV that can handle the full power of the PS3. I did A LOT of research to find a feature packed Full HD TV with consideration to size, quality, and price. It all lead me to this amazing TV. I mean I never read one bad review about this TV, ever. Not on Amazon.com or any other sites. I looked at it specs, it was all I needed and more. Samsung is one of the best LCD TV manufacturers these days and quality is out of the question.

As soon as I got this TV up and runnin', man the difference between its picture and my 11-year-old LG Flatron TV was HUGE!! I was amazed how in the world I managed to play PS3 on a SD TV. Playing my games again on this great HDTV was like playing them for the 1st time in every sense of the word. The contrast is stunning, the blacks are deep and the color production is more than satisfying. Even in fast moving scenes, the 5 ms response time makes it really ghost free and lag free.

37" BRAVIA L-Series LCD Flat Panel HDTV KDL-37L4000
I have to agree with 2 of the other reviewers that out of the box the picture was near perfect with only minor tweaking and purchasing this set on Amazon was definitely a no-brainer. Why pay sales tax and shipping? I decided on this tv for the bedroom and installed it on the wall without any problems. Acturally it went a lot smoother than I had anticipated. After comparing Sony's picture quality to other models at local stores and using Consumer Reports recommendation, I settled on the Sony Bravia 37". I have had the tv for 2 months and could not be happier.

LG 37" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I looked at the Scarlet series but for the price this was a great value. I really like the clear voice feature - it makes a big difference. Easy installation. I would rather have a matte surround because the glossy reflects light. The HD is fabulous! I would definitely recommend to friends.

Sony BRAVIA 37" 720p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I purchased a Sony KDL 37M4000 after doing quite a bit of research on 720p LCD TVs. It was the largest size that would fit an existing cabinet, and I'm not a gamer, so I didn't need the 1080p XBR6 for quite a bit more money. I have it hooked up to a Comcast HD Cable Box and a Sony PS3 Gamestation for Blu-Ray discs.

The picture is excellent, particularly in the vivid mode for sports and concerts. It can also easily be calibrated using the remote menu settings to give you exactly what you may be looking for. The blu-ray discs are fabulous at 1080i, but frankly, the Standard Definition DVDs show almost as well at 480p. Also, contrary to what I've read about some LCD TV's, the viewing angle is extremely broad; there is not a significant loss of content from anywhere in the room where the TV is located. I am using component video inputs rather than HDMI inputs, and I have purchased a couple of HDMI connectors which I will eventually use just to see if there's any difference, but the display

LG 37" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I did many weeks' worth of research online regarding HDTVs, since I was in the market for one. I have had this TV for a few weeks now and the quality is nothing short of absolutely fantastic. I bought a PS3 right around the same time and playing video games and viewing Blu-Ray movies is just spectacular. In the evening, if there are no lights on except for the TV, it's better than being at the movie theater!

I bought the 37" because with all the features included with it (and it supporting 1080p), the price really couldn't be beat. That and when I was at the store comparing them, it just looked more brilliant and bright compared to the similar Samsung 37" right beside it (plus it was $200 cheaper). When I took it back to my apartment, I was blown away by how large it really is; they don't look so large in-store when they're near the 46" and 52" TVs!

Setup is pretty simple. Didn't take too long, though the screws for the base of the TV stand are set a bit deep, so it was a little
