This monitor is a real "plug and play", it comes with the stand attached and built in speakers, it took a couple of minutes to set it up and connect to the cable box. Picture quality is really good for the price, I've tried the HDMI, Composite Video In, and Component Video; all produced very good brilliant, ultra bright and vivid picture in various room lighting conditions. It was also awesome connected to computer; however, you need to be at least three feet away for good viewing. I suspect picture will be much better using Blue Ray signal, which I did not try. I've seen better pictures on some other much more pricy sets, however, the difference in price, in my opinion, is not justified. The main thing is the black is not very black, but is ok. All other colors are very good and can be adjusted to suit individual taste.
The sound quality is also good and plenty loud. It has only one HDMI, to connect more sources you will need an external HDMI switch. The unit has auto source detection,

I am terribly disappointed by the quality of this product. Like others have mentioned, the picture is basically a fuzzy, pixelated mess. We got the original one and the picture quality was poor. Sony agreed to exchange it for us, and the second one was even worse than the first. This one is also going back, and we're looking elsewhere for a TV.
We tried all sorts of stuff to make it work, and no dice. Our Panasonic 32" HD TV works perfectly fine on both of our Comcast boxes, and not even the DVD player looks good on this thing, so it's not an issue of the bandwidth/feed. For this amount of money, this lack of quality is a joke.
Utterly ridiculous lack of quality

Great picture, great price. This TV looks fantastic ON or OFF. I needed to fit it in a space exactly 36" wide. The problem was, no store carries this model, so measuring it was not an option. It's an online purchase only and the online stores gave a width spec of 36.5". I checked the Toshiba website and the spec there was 35.5". I took a chance and luckily the actual width was 35.25". FYI

We recently purchased this TV to replace an older less impressive LCD TV, and what a difference. The clarity and color on this TV out of the box is excellent (though I will tune it in more with HD Essentials), and the options available for connectivity is impressive. Since we have only had this TV for about two months though, I will have to post an update with a little more time under the belt in regards to use, but I can honestly say so far this TV is Great! It is fairly light (we have it hanging from a wall on a mount with an arm so we can move it to point at different areas of the room), the 120Hz feature does make a difference watching HD sporting events - we love it!, 1080p looks amazing using this TV, and overall you couldn't ask for more simplicity in regards to mounting it. It looks like it'll mount to pretty much any mount out there right now. Plus, the setup menu has more options than most people will ever need (different settings for the speakers depending on use as well

After much research (Consumer Reports, Amazon, Best Buy) we absolutely got the best bang for our buck purchasing this through Amazon. Trust the other reviewers. The picture is great.. the sound a little bit tinny.. the delivery service reliable and on time. An excellent product all around.

This Sharp Aquos rocks. It is my first flat sceeen and I could not be happier. Picture quality smokes my prior tv, and the sound is really good as well < sound didn't matter to me much as I use a receiver for surround sound most of the time. There are plenty of hook ups including two HDMI inputs. The remote is easy to use too. The only complaint I had was that the thing did not fit in my existing entertainment center LOL ....NO worries, the center needed replaced anyway....
Have a great day!

We are completely satisfide with the TV and also the service we got from Amazon. This was our first time ordering and the speed with which we got the TV was great. Saving on shipping was a real plus. The delivery person brought the TV in, hooked it up to the cable and left. No problems at all. The pictures on the TV are great - sharp and clear. There is a few second hesitation when you go to a different channel, but this to us is not a major problem.

I've had this TV for less then 2 months and I'm already having issues. When you turn it on the picture will show up then a few seconds later will go away. I've tried new HDMI cables and when they are unplugged it says no signal so thats not the problem. Sometimes when you turn the power on it doesn't have a picture at all. Once you've unplugged the power or wiggled the cables the red light will show back up and you can turn the TV on and maybe get a picture. The problem is not constant but it is very annoying. I've already had to contact Samsung and I'm waiting on a repair person to show up.
What a joke. I was given a service center to work with and they refuse to do any work for Samsung because they have an issue with parts or getting paid.
I called Samsung again this time they gave me another service center. this service center only repairs TV's purchased from them.
I called again and was told they would call me in 2 to 3 days and try to find me a service center.
10/10/08 : Well

I bought this TV because it was the only 37" model that would fit in my older entertainment center. The picture quality is good. And I had the TV up and running within about 30 minutes of unpacking it. It did an excellent job of finding all the channels available on my cable system. After using it a week, I have 2 major complaints: 1. Surfing channels is a painful experience. The reaction time is simply too slow. It just feels like it takes forever to get from one channel to another. 2. I could not successfully connect external devices to the TV and get the audio to produce anything but static. I tried a Wii, XBOX 360 and a DVD player. It did not matter whether I used Inputs 1,2 or 3. And I used 2 different AV cables. The result was the same ... STATIC. The speakers worked OK in normal TV viewing mode. So, I could only conclude that something is wrong with the audio inputs on this TV. The only way I am able to successfully connect an external device to the TV is to take

Product arrived quicker than promised, Priced below competitor products by over $500, the HDTV definetly deserves the rating it received in Consumer Reports which quotes $1,400
Most important are the features. The unit has the BEST viewing angle of any of the pricier units compared.

I've had mine about 30 days. The screen blanks out randomly about once or twice a day. Have to turn it off and on several times to get it to work. Tried to find a service rep on the Sharp web site and it is clunky beyond belief. It will not recognize querries for the product ID code [LC37SB24U] and doesn't display a service center locator. I had to call and found that the nearest one is hours away. It is a nice looking unit, but I already regret my choice as I had hoped for a lot more from the Sharp brand.

While I didn't buy it via Amazon (sorry Amazon people), I purchased through a brick-and-mortar strictly because I haven't converted to making big purchases online. I bought this thing for two reasons:
1. I hadn't had a TV for over a year, I was overdue.
2. Picture quality. I searched high and low and stared at many, many HDTVs, in so many different stores, so much so that my eyes hurt. This was the best one (within the size I was looking for, 32-37" as this is what space I had/have allocated in my apartment). Picture clarity is key! That's the whole point of HD, correct?
So, first thing's first, I received a dud. Yes, a dud. It was working no more than a day before the brain of the TV just died on me (don't ask for technical terms, it's the part that makes the screen display a moving picture as opposed to lines moving across the screen). I don't know if anyone else ran into this problem, but it was a tad annoying. I do believe, however, based on many other reviews, that I

We've had the Toshiba REGZA 37RV530U HDTV for about 3 months now. We got it to replace an old 19 inch TV which was just too small for our new bedroom viewed mostly from around 15-20 feet away. The upgrade to 37 inch was dramatic, we can actually read the DirecTV guide from bed now!
Picture quality on the 37RV530U with our DirecTV Satellite receiver (digital, standard definition) has been very nice after some adjustments, which this TV has plenty of. The surprise has been the over the air High Definition local stations (720p), which look superb on this TV. I attached an old bow tie type antenna we had, not expecting much, but surprisingly we receive most of the local SF Bay area stations in HD. It was a pleasure watching Olympics late night from bed in HD!
This TV also has a VGA input for attaching PCs, which works well for a TV. Have not tried anything at 1080p yet. I wish it had picture in picture, but most LCD HDTVs don't. Overall been very happy with this purchase, well done

I am not at all satisfied with this SONY product. I could never get a bright picture. the picture is all hazy with low contrast. I am returing this product at the expense of $100 for shipping.

I purchased this television primarily because Amazon's description says that it supports DLNA and has an Ethernet port. To my disappointment, I can find NO Ethernet port or any mention of DLNA in the manual. I like the TV after one day and it comes with a fine remote (not like the piece of junk that came with my Philips). I have not decided what to do about the lack of DLNA though. Anyone have the same opinion?
Update: Amazon, as well as all of the other web retailers that I've found, have the sales literature incorrect. I called Sharp. You do not get DLNA or Ethernet with this TV, that comes with the larger 40+ inch displays. Also, if you've looked at a lot of TVs, one nice feature that this model does not have is a selectable menu of all the TV stations that you have preset. The only way to get to a station is to station up or down until you get to it or to key in the station number with the keypad. If you have Cable, that means that you would need to remember all your favorite

....happy with the set, good value, good picture with plenty of control. Sound is good not great, can be customized pretty well, best with externals of course....not a gamer, no blu-ray content, so 720p is fine. Refresh rate is good at 8 ft. viewing distance. Was delivered DHL, no problems, fast......excellent for the money. Wil probably upgrade in 3 to 5 years.....

This is a gorgeous TV - just the right size. The picture is so clear and sharp. The price was lower than anywhere around - I would purchase from this supplier again.

This is a very nice TV. I have had this tv since about 7/30/08.
Pro's: The TV has a very good tuner, I was able to hook it to my basic cable with Comast and was able to get about 16 HD channels and 10 or more digital channnels. I haven't tried over the air tuner. HD channels look great, Standard Def channels look good. I have this set up in the bedroom and it works great for this purpose. 720p is all you need in this size of TV. The Favorite channels you can set up are great, on the remote you have favorites a to c and you can set 4 channels under each letter.
Con: Remote has to be pointed directly at the TV but not too bad
Other thoughts: I still haven't hooded this to my Direct TV receiver yet, so I can't comment on how the digital picture looks like from it! Nor have I gamed on it yet. TV does have a game setting and game timer!
If you are in the market for a 32' LCD and want a quality brand name for a good price with plenty of options this is the one for you!

This is my first HDTV (I am an electronics engineer so, it took very long for me to buy one that i like). But this tv blows me off. Great natural colors, no bright and deep colors as in other samsung and toshiba Tvs.
The Menu is simple but even then it gives wide range of adjustments. Don't be attracted by the video reviews of the other TVs given all over the internet about the different options you can change on your TV because you know what, not many people use all those menu items. This has got bunch of inputs to it and it also have a headphone jack. I added my Bose system to this TV and it really gives a great Movie Experience.
The edges can be a little too glossy, but if you are a person who likes to keep the things neat, you will love the gloss.
Very useful menu item as skipping the Inputs makes this more versatile.
16 ( 4 x 4 ) Customizable favourite channels make life a little more easy. I bought this TV for the olympics and the NBC gives a HighDefinition Feed using the regular

Great tv, looks fantastic. I bought this for my family room and the size is perfect. For me I was looking at this tv, the vizio 37 720p and a Samsung 40 in. I already own a Samsung Plasma
Pros:
1080P
Sports look great/fast response time
Excellent sound, better than my samsung plasma
Cheapest 1080P tv I have found
Cons:
No PC input, but I think I can just buy a dvi/hdmi adapter
Remote: Remote does not work right until the tv has been on for at least a minute. I use my satellite remote so this is not that big of an issue
You wont go wrong with this tv, I have it hooked up to directv, wii, 1080p dvd player and a apple tv.
