Sharp LC32D44U Aquos 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV
This Sharp Aquos rocks. It is my first flat sceeen and I could not be happier. Picture quality smokes my prior tv, and the sound is really good as well < sound didn't matter to me much as I use a receiver for surround sound most of the time. There are plenty of hook ups including two HDMI inputs. The remote is easy to use too. The only complaint I had was that the thing did not fit in my existing entertainment center LOL ....NO worries, the center needed replaced anyway....

Have a great day!

Sharp LC-37D64U D64U Series 37" HDTV Aquos LCD Televisions
I bought this TV because it was the only 37" model that would fit in my older entertainment center. The picture quality is good. And I had the TV up and running within about 30 minutes of unpacking it. It did an excellent job of finding all the channels available on my cable system. After using it a week, I have 2 major complaints: 1. Surfing channels is a painful experience. The reaction time is simply too slow. It just feels like it takes forever to get from one channel to another. 2. I could not successfully connect external devices to the TV and get the audio to produce anything but static. I tried a Wii, XBOX 360 and a DVD player. It did not matter whether I used Inputs 1,2 or 3. And I used 2 different AV cables. The result was the same ... STATIC. The speakers worked OK in normal TV viewing mode. So, I could only conclude that something is wrong with the audio inputs on this TV. The only way I am able to successfully connect an external device to the TV is to take

Sharp LC-37D64U D64U Series 37" HDTV Aquos LCD Televisions
I purchased this television primarily because Amazon's description says that it supports DLNA and has an Ethernet port. To my disappointment, I can find NO Ethernet port or any mention of DLNA in the manual. I like the TV after one day and it comes with a fine remote (not like the piece of junk that came with my Philips). I have not decided what to do about the lack of DLNA though. Anyone have the same opinion?

Update: Amazon, as well as all of the other web retailers that I've found, have the sales literature incorrect. I called Sharp. You do not get DLNA or Ethernet with this TV, that comes with the larger 40+ inch displays. Also, if you've looked at a lot of TVs, one nice feature that this model does not have is a selectable menu of all the TV stations that you have preset. The only way to get to a station is to station up or down until you get to it or to key in the station number with the keypad. If you have Cable, that means that you would need to remember all your favorite

Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
This is a very nice TV. I have had this tv since about 7/30/08.

Pro's: The TV has a very good tuner, I was able to hook it to my basic cable with Comast and was able to get about 16 HD channels and 10 or more digital channnels. I haven't tried over the air tuner. HD channels look great, Standard Def channels look good. I have this set up in the bedroom and it works great for this purpose. 720p is all you need in this size of TV. The Favorite channels you can set up are great, on the remote you have favorites a to c and you can set 4 channels under each letter.

Con: Remote has to be pointed directly at the TV but not too bad

Other thoughts: I still haven't hooded this to my Direct TV receiver yet, so I can't comment on how the digital picture looks like from it! Nor have I gamed on it yet. TV does have a game setting and game timer!

If you are in the market for a 32' LCD and want a quality brand name for a good price with plenty of options this is the one for you!

Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
This is my first HDTV (I am an electronics engineer so, it took very long for me to buy one that i like). But this tv blows me off. Great natural colors, no bright and deep colors as in other samsung and toshiba Tvs.

The Menu is simple but even then it gives wide range of adjustments. Don't be attracted by the video reviews of the other TVs given all over the internet about the different options you can change on your TV because you know what, not many people use all those menu items. This has got bunch of inputs to it and it also have a headphone jack. I added my Bose system to this TV and it really gives a great Movie Experience.
The edges can be a little too glossy, but if you are a person who likes to keep the things neat, you will love the gloss.
Very useful menu item as skipping the Inputs makes this more versatile.
16 ( 4 x 4 ) Customizable favourite channels make life a little more easy. I bought this TV for the olympics and the NBC gives a HighDefinition Feed using the regular

Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
I read many reviews some positive and some negative, I went with the positive ones and my own experiences with other Sharp products. I have had a Sharp Aquos LD37D44U 37-Inch LCD HDTV for about a month and must say that I am very pleased with it so far.

The picture quality is very good and it has every connection that you may want on the back. I am using the HDMI connection from a HDTV Verizon FIOS Box.

I have no problems with any lines or dead pixels as some have written about. If you are looking to buy a solid TV and not over pay for a name, then consider buying one of the Sharp Aquos LCD TVs.

Sharp LC-37D64U D64U Series 37" HDTV Aquos LCD Televisions
I searched a around and found only this TV with reasonable price range and positive reviews to maximize my 38 in cabinet. After 2 weeks of receiving the new unit from Amazon.com white glove delivery, the TV is awesome, performed as promised and my brother-in-law wants to get one too for his bedroom(he just got a new Samsung 46in). Oh and I just found out Amazon.com dropped another $100!

Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
I am very pleased with my decision to purchase the Sharp Aquos LC32D44U 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV. The picture clarity is excellent and the screen size adequate for movies and gaming. For the price, I haven't seen a better 32" 720p...

Sharp LC-37D64U D64U Series 37" HDTV Aquos LCD Televisions
I've had the LC37D64U for almost a month now, and I am very pleased with the TV. The TV's relatively light weight makes it simple to move around when wiring things up. The picture looks good right out of the box, and after some tweaking using a couple of picture calibration DVDs, it looks even nicer (there are a lot of picture control settings if you want to dig in). I get HDTV channels over an antenna and the 1080i broadcasts look amazing if the broadcaster hasn't compressed them too much. I don't have Blu-Ray yet, but my DVD player upconverts to 1080p and makes the movies look terrific. My Xbox 360 games look better than ever. The best part about this TV is that it is the narrowest 37-inch LCD on the market, which means it can barely fit into my entertainment center with a whisker to spare. I was almost resigned to buying a 32-inch until I happily discovered this model just in time.

I send all the audio to my 5.1 surround receiver, so I can't comment on the quality of the TV speakers.

Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
Easy set-up and great picture for the price. 6ms refresh rate makes the picture blur at times, but happens very rarely. Owned it for one month with no problems.

Sharp LC-37D64U D64U Series 37" HDTV Aquos LCD Televisions
We purchased this set for my dad for Father's Day. The set was delivered exactly on time by CEVA who brought it in, set it up, and moved the old one for us. When we set it up, we were impressed right away. Very easy set up using the auto feature. We connected to the DVR HD box via an HDMI cable, set the box up for this, and we were off and running.

The picture both on standard and hi def were impressive. Probably one of the best looking standard pictures I have seen on an LCD. As my dad said when we went to hi def, "it looks like you could peel the picture right off the set". Overall he said it was one of the two best sets he has ever had (the first being their first set in the 50's...a 10" black and white!).

This set is highly recommended. Great picture, good sound, easy menu's, and nice settings. So far no con's at all. A definite winner!

Sharp LC-37D64U D64U Series 37" HDTV Aquos LCD Televisions
Choosing a new TV is not an easy task. There are so many of them these days. This one jumped out at me mostly because it looks nice. From the aesthetics standpoint I zeroed in on this Sharp, and one of the Samsung models. What about the size? I wanted something larger than 32 inch, but due to space limitation 40 inch was already too big, so this is why I settled on 37.

So how did I break the tie between Sharp and Samsung? Well, it's the reviews about the quality of speakers. Samsung supposedly had weak sound. I wasn't planning on setting up a bunch of speakers in my living room, so I wanted the TV to have adequate speakers. I have to say the sound is very nice, so I'm happy with my choice here.

By the way, since the pictures on Amazon are not the greatest quality, I actually went to Best Buy to get a better idea of how the TVs look. I recommend that you do the same. But then make sure to buy the TV through Amazon, because it will be $300 cheaper. If you don't want the extra $300, then

Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
I found it hard to find any reviews on this particular model online but I decided to take a chance, since its predecessor, the lc32d43u was pretty well rated. i am glad I did. I find the picture quality very good even in standard definition (with a digital feed) and there are plenty of options for you to get the quality the way you like it. My only small problem is that at some angles the picture can be bit washed out, but this is only at severe side angles. Overall good value for money.

Sharp LC32D44U Aquos 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV
Easy to adjust through the remote control, the picture is awesome. A great deal which I have seen priced at over $250 more in a brick and mortar store.

Sharp LC-37D44U D44U Series 37" HDTV LCD Televisions
I have both this TV as well as a Samsung LN-T2642H. It's very interesting to compare the two TV's performances. If you want the more balanced natural look, go with Sharp. If you're more interested in a vivid, colorful image go with Samsung. I also did an extended look at the Toshiba 26HL67.

There is a key difference between the panels Sharp uses compared to others. Sharp's TVs are made with panels called S-IPS while Samsung, Sony and Toshiba currently use a panel called S-PVA. This has everything to do with why Samsung, Sony and Toshiba have very strong color but one thing I noticed about Samsung is that when you look at it for a slightly low angle, the color gets darker and starts to invert. If you look it from above, the color gets lighter and starts to invert. With the Sharp, no matter what angle I look at it, the color doesn't change AT ALL! This is very impressive and cool!

I also notice that when I played around with the TV settings, it doesn't need much to look good, it almost

Sharp 32 in. Class LCD HDTV, AQUOS"
After four weeks of good use my Aquos locked up and became inoperable. The buttons on the TV and on the remote didn't work and I received no picture. Since the Sharp help line is not available at night and the manual had no suggestions to deal with this problem I had to unplug the TV to turn the unit off.
The next day we contacted the help line who referred us to a local authorized repair shop that was not too interested in our problem. When I called Sharp again my complaint was "escalated" to someone who walked us through a complicated reset procedure. Sharp advised that the problem was with the cable provider and a signal problem the provider was having with several digital channels. The cable provider has categorically denied they had anything to do with this issue so I called Sharp to try to get an idea of whether I had a defective unit. Again Sharp blamed it on the cable provider, stating they had received "several hundred calls" on this issue and were currently "in negotiations"

Sharp LC-37D64U D64U Series 37" HDTV Aquos LCD Televisions
OK I've been holding out longer than most to acquire my first flat screen LCD television. Boy I'm glad I waited until now as prices seem to keep dropping like a rock and quality improving far beyond the early models I've seen. After doing a lot of online research and seeing recent models I finally decided to take the plunge and picked up the newly released Sharp LC-37D64U. As I unwrapped the set from its packaging I realized that it was major leap forward aesthetically. Most noticeable is the thin black frame surrounding the screen that maximizes the amount of screen space and the slender width and depth dimensions making it perfect for wall hanging. I wasn't disappointed when I finally fired up the set for the first time and tuned into the HDTV National Geographic Channel. The images were just a stunning thing of beauty. I'm still putting the set through its initial paces but can't wait to get my new Blu-Ray player hooked up. I've also seen complaints on other forums about the sound

Sharp 32 in. Class LCD HDTV, AQUOS"
In terms of fundamental specs, the LC32D43U looks modest on paper compared to the 46" 1080p 120 khz monsters that the big box electronics companies want us to aspire to, but in the real world, this set provides a pleasingly vivid image that does serious justice to good sources. True, 32" looks deficient next to the monster sets on the Best Buy wall, but I was surprised at the great level of detail that this size gets you without squinting - as long as you're at an ideal distance (5-8 feet) you won't need to strain your eyes to see every whisker and wrinkle on a newscaster's face, every football player's number. Also, for those new to the HDTV shopping game, the 720p resolution is really indistinguishable from the more impressive sounding 1080p until you reach much larger sizes (and you have your hands on the rare media that actually takes advantage of such resolution). So while the basic specs don't impress, they should be more than adequate for 5 - 10 years of viewing without being

Sharp 32 in. Class LCD HDTV, AQUOS"
This arrived very rapidly (about 10days). I regret not to have been called by the carrier to be present at delivery time, fortunately, my neighbour signed for me.
It's very easy to install and looks very stylish, flat and discreet. No appearent button or control on the facade of the TV, very sleek.
So far, we are very happy with the image quality on regular channels (don't have HD yet). The 32 inches look quite big in our small living-room.
The sound from the TV speakers is a little strange, "hollow" and resonates when turned up. We prefer to use our home theatre sound and turn the TV speakers way down when watching movies.
Overall, we are extremely happy with this purchase and, having shopped around for a TV quite a bit, feel this was a great deal for a true 1080 HD TV!
