While a 26" screen may not sound impressive, it certainly seems a lot bigger in the living room. What's more, it leaves in the dust any analog TV of a similar screen size.
I like its sharp picture, vibrant colors, the design, and various ways it can display the picture and sound. It has a lot of other features (PIP is one) that I haven't quite gotten around to using yet.
The only thing I could wish for is for it to respond quicker when I turn it on and change channels.
All in all, though, I'm very happy with this TV.

I read all the reviews and decided to order the 26 inch for my home office. I will have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the picture. We have been looking for a while and this set stands up to a lot of the big names. The DVD works good and I love the memory card slot. The set came a day earlier than it was sc heduled to. Another good product from Overstock. The only problem I had was programing some of the chanels. .Could have easier instructions or it could have been the one doing the programing.

I needed a new T.V. for my apartment this upcoming school year and after doing a lot of looking this one seems to be the best T.V. for the price you can get it for. I couldn't find one single negative review on it on multiple websites. The T.V. has great picture quality and looks great when I play on my Xbox 360. HD channels also look crisp and clear if u have them. Has plenty of inputs so you can hook up plenty of stuff up to it. Since its a Samsung you know you will be getting a quality product which is going to last you.
It was easy to set up and its basically plug and watch. The T.V. will do all the work for you, just turn it on and have it auto configure itself and your good to go. Only 2 minor nuisances is that the auto configuration can take awhile but of course its a one time thing so its not like it will matter after the first time. The other is that it takes a long time for it to turn on after pressing the power button. Mine takes approximately 9 seconds for it to turn on after

This is an awesome TV for my uses. It's the perfect size for my bedroom now, and for my dorm room in a few weeks. The picture quality is amazing when being used with my 360 or with DVDs. Like most of the other reviewers, the weak speakers are my only minor complaint after a little more than a month of use. For the size, price, and quality, this TV is perfect.

What a wonderful TV - perfect, in fact. I already had the 47" size, and needed a smaller screen for my office. What a pleasure. Excellent reception, easy to operate, intuitive controls. AND the price is right. You can't go wrong. If this is the size screen you need, you'll be very happy with this TV. Love it. And, of course, ordering from Amazon is always a pleasure too. Go ahead, order it!

This TV was purchased for a bedroom. Overall the TV is all I expected and fairly easy to use. The quality for under $500 is above average and well worth the price for a second TV.

The Samsung T260HD is the best monitor I've ever owned. I've been using dual 19 inchers (Samsung 940BX and Samsung 971P) and this blows both of them away. My photos look amazing on this monitor -- big screen, high resolution, clear bright colors. I profiled (a subset of a full calibration which excluded the brightness adjustment) the monitor with my Monico Optix XR color puck and now the monitor produces less bright and more natural colors. The photos show more detail in both highlight and shadow areas than my previous monitors. I had to turn the brightness down to 50, from the default 100 which is too bright. The built in 1080P HDTV works great too. It automatically found all of my DTV stantions without a cable box -- in fact it found even more than my cable box shows. Some DTV stations look a lot better than others, probably because of the original content. Standard DVDs look very good on it. The monitor was easy to setup and use both as a monitor and as a TV.

The Samsung T260HD is the best monitor I've ever owned. I was using dual 19 inchers (Samsung 940BX and Samsung 971P) and this blows both of them away. I'm an amateur photographer and my photos look amazing on this monitor -- big screen, high resolution, clear bright colors. The images are very sharp and detailed. There is so much detail in the images, it's almost like being there. Photos have more detail in both the highlights and shadows than any other monitor I have used. I love this monitor.

The set is everything I could have anticipated. I'm very pleased with the on screen menu and many options it provides with simple instructions.Set-up was simple and straight forward.

This is the first LCD TV I have ever owned. I did not purchase this TV from Amazon, so I cannot comment upon how this item ships, but I would like to put in my two cents about this product.
What everyone has said about the picture quality is absolutely true. I had the opportunity to look at the Toshiba 26AV500U next to the likes of Samsung, Sony, and Panasonic, and I have to say that the Toshiba looked as good or even better than some of the various models offered by the competing companies. The well-defined contrast on the set is what gives it such a rich picture. Granted, this Toshiba is not the same quality as the sets that cost well over a thousand dollars, BUT, for less than $600, the picture alone is worth more than the money I spent. I am using this set in my very small bedroom, so the picture size is more than adequate. If you are looking for a set for your living room, you are probably better off getting a larger TV.
The only reason I'm not giving this product five

like all Sony Displays of good Bravia line you will not be disappointed in the quality of the picture you get out of this set also bonus about this pitucular set even though it is listed as a 720p it can and will display 1080i which means it will give you a 1920X1080 interlaced HD picture perfect for all of the HD Broadcast currently on the market. My only nick pick about this TV is the Vivid color sensor, when set the TV to this mode you will get the most vibrant colors out of this display. However when screen has a lot of dark shades or even black it fades down to the colors you get in Cinema mode, other than that it is golden .

I have a Samsung LN52A750 LCD television which is an awesome set for use either as an HDTV or as a computer monitor. I really like the style it has with the TOC (touch of color) and the crystalline bezel design. When the T260HD was announced it seemed like a great idea to upgrade my 22" monitor with this 26" and gain HDTV functions while matching the style of the larger set.
What a disappointment! When used as a PC monitor the text could not be sharper, but the colors are all washed out and blacks are a hazy shade of gray. This performance isn't nearly as good as the cheap 22" ACER it replaces! Since the 52" Samsung performs flawlessly as a monitor I figured this 26" just needed calibration. After adjusting the configuration of the video card AND using the supplied Samsung "Natural Color Pro" software, only very slight improvement could be made.
I then replaced the HDMI cable with a DVI cable to see if that was causing the poor performance... no luck. The images were identical. The DVI

It was a difficult choice between this LCD and the Sony KDL 26M4000. I finally choose the Samsung because the colors were a bit more vibrant and the contrast was better (the TV will be used in a bright, sunny room). Also, the Samsung allows for more picture fine-tuning, if you are so inclined. Lastly, the Samsung was a bit cheaper in price and, at the time I ordered it, was available through Amazon. As usual, Amazon's service was outstanding. Amazon also allowed for a price match after I purchased it, since the price had dropped.

My new monitor arrived today, with "white glove service." I was looking for something to replace my 13" TV and 19" monitor (also Samsung; I am a Samsung fan), and this fills the bill perfectly. I am just moderately adept at figuring out how to hook up electronic equipment, but the manual included is very clear and descriptive in explaining what goes where. I had no problem with the video aspect of hooking up the TV to my Mac. I do need to get a longer audio cord, so at this point I can't comment on the computer audio setup. The TV picture and sound are great, even without an HD tuner (I have a broadband basic satellite connection on this second TV), and I had no problem with making adjustments to the picture for viewing in the monitor mode. Shipping was free (Amazon Prime member), and I saved about $40 by ordering through Amazon rather than making the trip to the local Wal-Mart. The delivery service was excellent. Setup was truly "Plug and Play," and, boy, is that refreshing! Very easy

After buying many Sony products over the years, I find this KDL26M4000 wholly undeserving of Sony's respect for quality. The screen colors are next to impossible to stabilize, the sound volume so weak it requires full volume for adequate hearing, and the viewing angle less than optimal.
True, I'm a senior with fundamental deficiencies, the major one being the inability to handle the stress of tech support or packaging and returning the unit.

I chose this unit after months of research seeking the perfect pair for my PS3. I considered Vizio, Sharp, and Sony, but decided in the end that the Samsung had the most features and best connectivity. I am a college student so a larger screen size would not be useful for my needs. I use it in the apartment and my bedroom at home.
This tv is only listed as 1080i but the ps3 supposedly runs in 1080p mode when connected and Blu-Rays play in 1280x1080 @ 24Hz which is the default 1080p setting. This was a fantastic surprise. They say you cannot tell the difference between 1080p and 1080i but next to my roommates Sharp which is only at 1080i, the difference is noticeable. Colors are wonderful. HD really pops. Standard definition looks much better than my roommates Sharp.
The digital tuner also decodes the digital channels on my cable so I can get local channels in HD at no extra cost.
Overall this was one of the best purchases I made. Plenty of connectivity options will leave

We bought this for our main TV. We do not watch a lot of TV and are not interested in having our TV as a focal point in the room. Also, we wanted a set that would double as our computer monitor. This TV is great for what we wanted.
You'll need additional speakers to improve the sound, but I think that's true for any TV.
Also, it does not come with a universal remote.

I just ordered alot of items from Amazon recently, so all my reviews will start the same, just with different sellers of course:
Amazon & 6av gets 5 stars for extremely fast regular/standard shipping!! Was supposed to come June 30 - July 3; I ordered this on the June 24th, it arrived June 26th!!
Its 720p, 8ms response. What more do u want from it? It take a few seconds
when changing sources. Im not in a hurry so thats not a problem for me. Connected my Comcast cable HD DVR, PS3 to it with no problems. I experimented with composite and HDMI connections. (all I had on me) Anyone who reviews a hdtv, please use component or hdmi; then rate the PQ n audio. Thanks. If u rate it based on connecting the cable-in rf directly to the tv, keep that in mind when reviewing it and rate accordingly to the connection u use.
Speakers is good. I missed my 46" 46A550 delivery cuz I had the 26" turned up. Easy as pie to install base and program TV. Light, u dont need help moving this or installing base.

I love it! I went from a semi-antique to this and what a difference! I don't have it hooked up to an HD feed (Dish wants an arm and a leg for that) but it's enough better that I don't feel I need it. Picture quality is excellent! I hooked the sound up to my boom box and it will blow you out of the room. Not that I need it that loud (yet) but it's nice to have it so I can turn it up to hear it everywhere in the house.

When my 9 yr. old 27" Phillips/Magnavox CRT TV blew out on me a few days ago, forcing me to join the Flat Screen TV world, I was worried-Most of the Flat Screen TVs I've seen in stores, catalogs & online were 32" and above, and I didn't think I could find a medium sized HD TV that would fit in my cubby-holed entertainment room, and also provide me with a quality viewing experience. Then voila, I see the Toshiba 26AV500U; It has ALL of the Bells & Whistles of the larger Flat Screen TVs. And any concern I had in losing that one inch of screen view quickly vanished, when I saw the GREAT picture quality on this Set!! To be sure, it will be a bit of sticker shock for Newbie Flat Screen TV buyers who haven't upgraded their TVs since the CRT days, until you look over at the bigger models and prices; Then, you'll be grateful for having THIS available choice. So,for those who are looking for a Great Flat Screen HD TV with the economy of price and size, that doesn't sacrifice quality, the Toshiba 26AV500U
