Very bright beautiful picture. I read the last review on overstock but still bought it. You aren't supposed to get 'right-up-to' any large screen TV. You will see some pixels if you do. The 1080 would help...but why spend the extra money? The 720p looks the same as the 1080p from 6 feet away (I tried them out in a local store charging retail). LCDs are getting almost as good at Plasmas as far as producing 'real' black colors. Plasma still produces the best 'black' for the money and brighter colors. Burn-in is not a factor anymore with plasma because it uses a 'screen' saver technology that 'clears' the screen from burn-in.The plasma picture produces better blacks than any LCD I've owned, the controls are extremely simple and the TV setup is SOOO simple.Excellent 'entry level' value in the plasma market. OH, Turn the enhanced bass 'on' in the Audio...the little speakers are a little low on bass unless you turn on the enhanced bass.If I went larger than 42 inches...hmmm...yeah, at 50inches

One can not overestimate the WOW factor of the Samsung LN52A750 52-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color. In the LN52A750 Samsung has given the world brilliant picture quality and stunning style in a unit that anyone would be proud to make the centerpiece of their living room or entertainment palace.
Right out of the box the picture is impressive, although the factory settings are too bright and overly saturated. This is to be expected, however, as virtually all manufacturers tune their sets to stand out in store displays. After fine-tuning my set using Digital Video Essentials: Optimize Your Home Entertainment System (NTSC Component), I now have a virtually perfect picture. It was a tedious and time-consuming process, however, so my recommendation to the patience-impaired would be to hire someone locally to do the work using the latest test equipment. For most people it would be well worth the cost (est. $50 -$75) after shelling out a couple of G's for a state-of-the-art LCD

I researched tv's both on-line and in-store. The price was less than at the local electronic store. I didn't pay taxes or delivery and didn't have the hassle of hauling the set home. I placed my order on a Tuesday morning and the set was delivered Thursday before 10:00 a.m. Perfect condition, exactly what I ordered, best price, at my front door. What could be better.

I purchased this TV locally at Wal-Mart in June, 2008 for $686. In the store it has rolled back to $598 in November and is currently $498 on line Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday (Out of Stock on line). WOW!!
The Wal-Mart extended warranty mirrors the Sony warranty, meaning in home service, which can be purchased in the store for two years and there is a three year option (True three year) on line for $88. Wal-Mart has a ninety day no hassle return policy. Great selling points.
After my 30 inch Toshiba CRT television failed I compared Sony, Samsung and Panasonic 32 to 37 inch varieties. For a viewing distance of about 15 feet, I thought the 32 inch would suffice. However, it is just a bit too small. I opted for the 32 inch TV, since one person could carry it and it would easily fit in the backseat of my car to bring it home from the store. In retrospect, the Sony 37 inch may have been a better fit in the room, and it might have just squeezed in the back seat of my car. However,

I keep buying Panasonic products and keep getting great results with them. This TV is great. I did a lot of research before buying it and I think I made the right choice over Samsung & Sony. I buy Panasonic for their durability also so we'll see how this TV does in that regard.

After seeing the Panasonic in Circit City and Best Buy, I decided it was the best deal over the Sony, Samsung and LG. All four were similar in picture quality but the Panasonic was more competitively priced. I then found this set on Amazon for $566, free shipping and no tax. It would have cost $700 plus tax at Circit City and Best Buy so I saved about $183. I am pleased with the TV so far (have had it about 3 weeks)

After reading Consumer Reports ratings, I ordered this tv online. We just received it today, opened, set up and watching HDTV in less than 10 minutes! The picture is beyond expectations. The color is so sharp and the picture is positively exquisite. Not only did Amazon have the best price, the no shipping, no taxes and white glove delivery made this an exceptional purchase overall. "Santa" delivered the new tv now, in anticipation of my 7yr old getting a wii for Christmas. I am so excited, "Santa" may have to open the wii tonight after he is in bed to test it out on the new tv.
Overall, the whole buying experience was so easy through amazon and the tv is just awesome!

Like many shoppers who buy their first HDTV, I did my homework. I determined what size screen I needed (37 inches to 40 inches) what size screen would fit in my space (40 would been tight) and whether I needed a 720p or 1080p LCD. When a TV salesman told me I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 720 and 1080 on a 37-inch screen - and I verified that in his store - I found myself basically left with a brand-name issue.
Fortunately, I was able to view my major brand name choices - LG, Sharp, Sony - side by side. That's when I discovered the Toshiba 37AV502U. Compared to off-brands and the LG, it had a distinctively radiant picture. Could have been the settings in the store. I'll never know. But it did give me the confidence to include the Toshiba in my online shopping.
Even in the stores, I cold see the Toshiba was priced lower than the Sharp and the Sony. When I found it online (Amazon and elsewhere) for about $150 lower than in-store prices, I was sold.
The TV came promptly

Overall this TV and DVD player is awesome for a bedroom, kid's playroom, kitchen, or small space. The sound quality is excellent, especially for watching movies on the DVD player.
The picture is very good with the non-HDTV channels, while it is near perfect on the HD channels and watching movies on the DVD player, but you can tell it is 720p.
The 22-inch screen is just right for our bedroom. The TV was easy to setup and it makes a great secondary TV in the house. I have a dish so I do not use the remote that came with the TV, but I did notice that on the TV's remote there is no channel return button (???), which is strange. Of course it does have a lot of options for running the DVD player, which my dish's remote does not have.
Also, I have not really noticed much lag time between changing channels. However, when I turn on the TV there is about a 7 to 10 second warm up I guess, because the screen just stays black even though the light is green indicating that the TV is on.

I bought the Westinghouse SK-32H590D last week and I couldn't be more pleased with it. I read all the customer reviews on this site and several others. I took most of them with a grain of salt but some of the misinformed really irritated me beyond belief. I don't get why some of these dummies are complaining about the TV's features when they should clearly just read the owner's manual and/or ask a 6 year old child for help.
1. The DVD player will resume it's last position IF YOU SET IT TO DO THAT IN THE DVD SETTINGS MENU!!! DVD RESUME, = ON. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!
2. The clock and the timer will work and will not have to be reset daily IF YOU SET THE POWER SETTING TO NORMAL NOT POWER SAVER WHICH SHUTS OFF ALL POWER TO THE TV!!! READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! How do you think the clock and timer operate? Osmosis? Solar energy? Hamster turning a wheel? The TV needs electricity, duh!!! Do you unplug your digital alarm clock and expect it to wake you up in the morning too???

Purchased on November 13th. Failed to turn on November 22. This has to be the very first TV I've owned that failed in this way and the last Sharp I will purchase. It's back to Walmarts with this piece of junk.

The Toshiba 32AV502U seems to be a good value for a 720p LCD. It was easy to set up on the stand; the hook-up to my cable, TIVO unit, and playstation was easy; the initial set up for all the available channels was pretty easy and fast; and the picture is great. The only negatives are that the remote control & remote control buttons are too small, the ability of the set to switch between various functions seems a little slow (in other words moving from one menu screen to the next), and the process of switching back and forth between inputs is especially slow and tedious. Maybe as I learn more about the functions I can figure out a faster way to accomplish this but I haven't found anything in the manual yet or by playing with the various buttons.

Just got the TV a few hours ago, and So Far, So Good. The few bad reviews I read mentioned issues with the stand. I had none. Looks great. Sounds great. It has the best simulated surround sound I've ever heard from a TV. It still doesn't compare to true surround sound, but this is for my bedroom so I'm not in a hurry to buy another sound system. I have cable and this thing picks up a few HD channels(Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC, and maybe one or two more) without a cable box. So far, I'm happy as can be about the tv. I'll update the review if anything negative pops up. As far as the service from Amazon, it was great as usual. I got the tv for $600. It was 750 anywhere else. Free shipping. I ordered it late on a Monday night. It was delivered on Saturday at 330pm. Might have gotten it a day earlier but I always work late on Fridays. UPS shipped it to a company named CEVA in St. Louis. They called me to set up a time to deliver it, then drove over 2 hours south to drop it off.

System is good for a small room. The picture clarity is great and HD is sharp and crisp. Sound is acceptable but I added a small powered audio speaker system to enhance the base.

One of the things I really liked and appreciated about this television set is the easy to read and understand menu and remote. Some other electronic appliances I have require me to read the manual everytime I have to reset something. This one is simple enough for even me to operate.

Our requirements for an HDTV are that it have a GREAT picture (check!), good sound (check,) eye-popping colors (check,) and be user friendly (check.)
This is a great HDTV for regular folks who don't have a list of high tech requirements. It might stand up to the high tech test, I have no idea. Consumer reports rated this a very good HDTV, I bought it, and we're very happy with it. We don't play video games on it. We watch Tivo'd movies and programs and watch DVDs.
Picture quality, in my very humble opinion, is breathtaking. We found it to be a reasonably priced television that meets and exceeds all of our family's requirements.
We were surprised to find that the sound quality is very good, too. Complex sound and you can raise the levels quite loud.
We've had it for a few months and are still very happy with it.

Good picture and in all fairness tv does not have an hd source.
The problem is the brightness, color and tint must be adjusted each time the unit is turned off and back on. All other settings remain as set. This gets alittle old after a while and if all are like mine then I cannot recommend it.

Amazon changes the rules after they take your money. The original order I made said Electronic Express, then they changed it to another shipping priorty without notifying me. I called them and I reached a gentlemen who gave me a order number to go to Electronic Express to determine when my TV would be shipped. Electronic Express of course did not recognize the order number and told me to go back to Amazon. I called a second time and reached a lady.. clearly from India who would NOT divert from her script she was given and kept repeating the same thing over and over. I called back.. got a guy from India.. Suprise.. he loved his script too. But I told him he could not qualify for customer service, but more of a narator of a very entertaining script of we have your money.. we dont care if it takes 3 months to get your tv. I am sure Amazon will take this rating down as soon as they see it. Hopefully I will educate a potential buyer on Amazon from making the same mistake I made. I would not

I have owned this TV for over a week and couldn't be more pleased. It arrived after about 3 days using Saver Shipping, and there are no dead pixels that I can see. I use this as a primary monitor in a dual monitor setup and as an HDTV through a HD Cable Box. It is excellent on both counts.
As a monitor using the DVI hookup, this monitor has amazing graphics with my ATI 4850 gfx card. My old monitor was a 17' flat screen, and with the two of them sitting next to each other, the difference is very noticeable. Viewing text and pictures are both very clear, and I notice no lag or delays with the image. Setup was very easy, and after using plug-and-play for a while, I installed the drivers for the monitor. Both worked very well.
As an HDTV, the picture quality is also amazing. I watched a few sports games, a few regular HD channels, and some HD movie channels, and was pleased with them all. This is my first HDTV at home, and I couldn't be more impressed with the difference it makes. I do want
