Were it not for my current problem, I would rate this TV a 4 or 5. I did exhaustive research on LCD televisions and made repeated trips to stores to compare picture quality and features. I gravitated to this particular set for its small footprint (bezel) around the screen, the exceptional picture quality and the Sony name. I have always known Sony TVs to be high quality and reliable........until now.
I babied this puppy on delivery, as if it were fine crystal. It sits on top of a cabinet, free-standing, with plenty of ventilation in a large room. For 23 days it worked great. Then a powerful windstorm knocked out power in NE Ohio and took down cable across the region. The following day I had the TV on throughout the day as I waited for cable to be restored. Late in the afternoon I noticed vertical lines across the screen instead of simply a blank screen.
The set was totally unresponsive via remote or otherwise. It didn't even work with my Sony DVD player --just random vertical

I bought this KDL-40W4100 a few weeks ago. It looks awesome when using HDMI inputs. But of course looks even worse than a regular TV when viewing non-HD sources (as with any HDTV). My two real complaints are:
there are only 2 audio outputs from the TV: optical digital and stereo RCA-jacks. This will only support 2 external speakers (not center or surround sound). Bummer, as the TV's tiny speakers are quite lame.
And problem #2 is: the base stand that came with the TV is not level! Ridiculous! This precision-engineered widescreen HDTV now sits 1/4" higher on one side because the stand isn't level! So now I have to put a pad of Post-It notes under the left side.
Overall, this is a nice TV, but I'm still disappointed.

All I can say is I love this TV!!! It does take some getting used to. The picture is so crisp and many people have said that it seems like the picture is moving too fast. My sister in law wanted to disable the 120hz... It is hard to watch my old TVs now. DLNA was difficult to set up initialy but that was my computers settings I went to another computer and it worked fine.
I am a little annoyed with amazon since the price dropped before I received the TV and they would not refund the difference.
Shipping was early and the delivery guys were friendly and a bit jealous...

I have been tracking this product and t220hd, t240hd for a while. The $30 Samsung rebate has been around for a while before Amazon reduce price for T260hd. But consider tax (8.25% for us in texas) in local stores (plus $520-$540 product price), or $25 shipping charged by the only potential candidate seller newegg, Amazon is still the first choice I would make. And then comes the price drop, which is amazing to me because i list the three models in my wishlist for easy comparison of their prices, and i find out t240hd and t260hd are both listed for the same price.
So I bite the deal and add 3.99 for one day shipping, it just came this morning. The product simply blow my mind off, especially when i hook up with my xbox 360. I play the two demos fifa 09 and need for speed most wanted, the graphics are out of this word gaming quality. Then I connect my wii, and it's such great improvement compared with my previous monitor (gateway hd2200 which also has hdmi and component input). I have always

For those worried about the "halo effect" some have complained about, good news...Samsung is aware of the issue. Newer reviews of this tv have stated not even seeing the so-called Halo. That's because the latest models of the 750 (those made August on) have the new bezel that was created to defeat the Halo. For those who've already bought one....you can go on the Samsung website and they direct you on how to get a service technician to come to your home to fix the problem for free.

My wife and I purchased this tv to put on wall in our living room. It is a wonderful tv. I was able to start up easily and have had nothing but good coments on it. This is a great tv and has a wonderful look.

The Shipment only took a week. And before the drop off, I got contacted by the carrier.
The TV was the perfect choice for our living room. Just the right size. the picture quality is excellent and with the speakers in the front the audio is fantastic as well.
If I had to make that choice again, it would be the exact same one!

This is an excellent TV, but it is not without a few flaws.
Pros: Brilliant picture with better black than I anticipated. Motion blurring is no longer an issue with these 120hz sets, which is great for sports fans or gamers. There are also plenty of connections for additional devices. It is a great TV...the best I have ever owned.
Cons: They have a great remote, but it is not universal (COME ON!) and thus will not control your cable/satellite box. I called Samsung to confirm this and they said they had issues with the previous model (too many consumer complaints) and removed the universal capabilities. ***By the way Samsung...you can also receive complaints for a LACK of basic features and this is one of them. The issues should have been resolved. Anyway, this will not be an issue for many who have more complex set ups and need a universal remote anyway.
The Anynet feature is a nice concept allowing you to more easily control numerous Samsung devices, like a BluRay DVD, simply;

Everything about this television is fantastic. Amazon's delivery guys were very fast and professional. I recommend that if your going to buy this TV, buy it through Amazon.

Look at the picture & forget about the price, other reviews mentioned how much this TV cost, I will not. Why? Because, when your focus is to get the best TV out there the price should comes second. To me, this is the one. I watch this TV from about 13 feet away and have a direct TV DVR receiver connected by monster 1000 HDMI cable. Wow!
Here is a double Wow! Get the Panasonic Blue-ray Disc player DMP-BD30 will do and connect it to this TV set by HDMI connection, get the "planet earth" Blue-ray CD and you will experience audio/video Shock & Awe.
I am not bias to Panasonic, in fact the only Panasonic I ever purchased in my life was a panasonic wireless telephone, 6 years old and still going... So I figured the TV would be as durable, so far so good.
Hey, if price is the issue, an average person will keep a good TV set 5 to 7 years. Now divide the cost by the amount of years you think you will keep this TV. Got it?
Au revoir mes amis, I am going to watch TV

I've had this TV for a while now and I absolutely love it. The 4 HDMI Inputs are plenty, making my Movies and Games look their best. My old TV only had 1 HDMI, which made me have to choose between the cable box and my Playstation 3. The TV has a nice sleek look to it and looks great on my wall. The built in speakers on the television sound great - I think they sound better than my home theater speakers!

Typical Sony dependable & perfoms well, on a 1 - 10 scale overall satisfaction "8", picture "7", sound "9", ease of use "8". Also amazon.com gets an "8" on customer service for a Samsung LCD I recently sent back because of sound problems. They sent out a new TV within 5 days and picked up the old one. I never was without a TV.

I replaced a 56-inch Toshiba DLP rear projection set with this 46-inch LCD model from Samsung. At first, I was a little hesitant to drop my screen size 10 inches, and was even MORE hesitant about mounting such a large TV on my living room wall.
After a few weeks of research including trips to various electronics stores, reading reviews on CNET, Consumer Reports, and others, I learned that Samsung is moving to the forefront of the LCD industry, and I can definitely see why. After purchasing the TV and getting it up on the wall, I can't believe I didn't do this sooner.
The picture on the 650 model is amazing, even compared to my old DLP set (which had a pretty fantastic picture in its own right). To me, the most important facet of a TV's picture is the sharpness of an image (i.e. how rich and true its black levels are, and how crisp and defined images look). In this price range, I haven't seen another TV that even comes close to the image quality on the 650. High-definition programs in

I have had this product for about two weeks now. I would have to say that the amazon price for this product cannot be beat by any other retailer. It took about 10 days to get the product delivered, but it was well worth it. The product was delivered with no scratches or dents and the person who delivered made sure the TV functioned right before he departed. The quality of the picture is just amazing, along with the Denon Receiver and Polk Speakers, this can't be any better. I still have trouble setting up the InfoLink stuff though, I am working on it :)

I did a lot of research when I decided to buy a 52" TV. I'm a student and a part-time salesman at a fortune 100 company in consumer electronics. After weeks or perhaps months of preparation and research I narrowed down my options to the Samsung A750 and the Sony bravia w4100. Now I did have a Samsung A550 and a Sony Trinitron High Def CRT at home and they were both pretty impressive but I figured that Sony does a better job in 52" or larger category after observing the w4100 and a750 for several days at work.
First off lets talk about the screen. The 50'000:1 contrast of the Samsung vs. 30'000:1 contrast ratio of the Sony. The way Samsung measures its contrast ration is radically different from Sony, that is why Samsung never discloses its "TRUE CONTRAST RATIO", but Sony does, in this case it's 3,000:1. Whatever the true contrast ration of Samsung it is not superior to that of Sony's this is something that most experts agree on. It is easy to blast your dynamic contrast ration but not

I applaude the first evaluator for his detailed comments. He is accurate in his description and his accolades fully accentuate the quality of this little gem. At 22" and 720p you could not ask for more other than a slightly larger screen at a slightly larger price. When I compare this picture with the same model 40" there is no difference other than the size. I do not know the pixel pitch of either TV; however, the normal sighted viewer cannot tell any difference in picture quality even though the 40" is 1080p vs 720p. This TV makes the perfect companion for working on a computer and viewing the TV next to it. Any TV can be torn to pieces for this reason and that but for the money and size this is going to be hard to beat. One item that I might find fault with is the potential cost imputed in the TV for the Touch of Color. That is a waste of money for me and could be omitted in other models if the cost of the addition is eliminated as well. Unlike the 40", I had little or no problem

This TV is absolutely incredible! I don't have much more to say then what's already been said here, but I'll do my best.
I was trying to decide between this model and the series 6, and ended up with this one because of the built-in subwoofer. I'm glad I did because the sound is definitely excellent! It's not quite surround sound, but the simulated surround sound is still impressive.
One of the grea things about this TV is that it works so well right out of the box! I went to a friend's place and he has a 52" Bravia, but the picture was only 1/2 or 1/3 of the screen most of the time whereas the picture fills my screen like 95% of the time. I went home and watched the same show I was watching at his place at my place and the quality was significantly better on my TV (and we live in the same building, so it's the same cable). On his TV there were lines and it looked like a CRT, whereas mine was a lot cleaner and, while it wasn't very clear because the broadcast itself sucked, it was smoother

Many folks are going for the samsung lcds because the blacks look blacker.
but those tv's have a glass screen that reflects everything. This tv is sharper than a xbr4 or xbr5 , those were last years models. the engine in this tv is equivalent to a xbr6. I replaced a great 50 inch sony sxrd
tv with this one. Sony's newer 52's didn't have all the features of this one. the s, v, and w's are fine tv's but they don't have deep color the new color standard that future discs will have. Nor do they have x.v. color which is here already and is used in digital photos. this one does. the w does have 24fps or film speed that words with a ps3 or blu ray player to show a movie in it's real speed. Of course this isn't a benefit for older dvd's as they are processed in a 2:3 rate anyways. that means that one frame is dropped for every 3 shown. but for blu ray this feature rocks. And like ALL lcds standard non hd tv looks ok but they don't put standard tv on in showrooms. so people take these

The name doesn't exactly set the blood rushing through your veins and your pulse pounding: Mitsubishi LT-46149 LCD Flat Panel HDTV.
But from the moment you see the picture, even with an ordinary digital cable or DVD signal, you're going to flip. I certainly did - and the picture was only the beginning of the fun.
If you're looking for a super-fast and concise review, here it is: superb video and beyond-belief sound.
And a lot of bells and whistles that I'll get into. After a few minutes with the LT-46149, I was thinking of Blu-Ray and HD cable, both of which I had little interest in until shortly after turning this unit on.
It was delivered via Amazon's White Glove service, which is a real convenience. They give you a delivery time window and then call when they are about 30 minutes away, a nice touch. The delivery service unboxes the unit - which is a marvelous thing, because the box is quite large. They mount the panel on its stand, make sure it works and will remove the
