I recently purchased this Philips 32" TV, and I am very pleased with my purchase. After looking at different models of 32" televisions available, the different brands and specs had me a little worried about making the right decision. However this TV has great picture, looks modern and stylish, has plenty of imputs, and is easy to use and program. It looks great for movies, games, and hd and regular TV programing, it even cleans up analog channels somewhat. I have also used a 32 inch samsung and I certainly could not say that it was is any better than this, in fact i think i prefer the philips. Also, as far as looking at specs when buying a tv, do not be worried if you are considering this television: considering its size and price range it is very competitive. I was a little worried about its 8ms response time considering samsung and some others have 6ms or even 4ms, but i cannot tell the difference and from what I have read there are differences between manufacturers when it comes

I bought this TV to replace the one in our bedroom, that was destroyed by a surge during a recent storm. (Dumb me, I didn't have a surge protector on it!) The old TV was a 13 inch screen and this one seems huge in comparison. It's the perfect size for the bedroom and has exceptional picture and sound quality. It fits with any decor and I absolutely love it. I would recommend it to anyone who asked! DON'T FORGET THE SURGE PROTECTOR!

I have purchased both CRT and LCD Viewsonic monitors and now this 720p HDTV. It's inexpensive and does the job but I expected more. I dislike the "stylish" stand with tiny narrow neck as the monitor wobbles easily. The remote and connector layout is a identical to the Envision. The menus are also identical. It appears a company in China makes The TV for various companies like Envision and Viewsonic. This is a problem for me as both lcd tvs are in the same room. This Viewsonic is the first purchased LCD to have a dead bright pixel. The screen is bright and clear with the usual slight light leak at the top edge. The speakers sound shallow so I don't use them. I have the PC sound connected to PC audio in with powered speakers connected to headphone out. This provides full range clean sound for both PC and TV. The tuner is great for HD content programming from a roof mounted antenna. Only the remote and power cord come with the TV. I had to buy a vga cable.
I'm returning it only because

This isn't a bad TV. I paid $380 for it brand new. The TV does take a bit longer than normal to change channels, but the video (head-on) is very crisp. Of course, from side angle, it is not the greatest, but I have it in the basement (game table, workout gym, lounge area) and it is on a swivel arm, so I can swing it around based on activity I am working on.
Contrary to other reviews, I've had no complaints so far. Then again, I've only had it 2 weeks, but its a beautiful TV, great picture using HDMI cable, decent size 26" screen, the audio I've connected to my basement wall-mounted speakers...I'm VERY pleased!

Hi,
This is the 3rd hdtv lcd I have purchased this year but the 1st one I am happy with. I purchased a Samsung earlier this year after reading all the amazing reviews, maybe I was expecting too much but I felt disappointed when I had it at home. I then purchased the HP Media Smart 42" with the wifi, it is a nice lcd but it is way overpriced because of the useless wifi which is impossible to setup anyway. Took that right back to bestbuy the next day. Now for the Philips. I was debating whether to get the Sony Bravia L or this Philips. Even though this is more expensive I went with the Philips because of that gut feeling I had everytime I was disappointed with an lcd I told myself I should have got the Philips. Well I finally did and I am very happy with my purchase. I got it for $691 at Sams Club. As soon as it became available I ordered it. I have had it for 3 days now. As soon as I opened the box I liked the glass stand. The lcd itself has a very nice elegant minimalist design which I

22' HDTV Viewsonic. What can you say? We aren't too familiar with Viewsonic are we? Well let me start off by saying so far, this device surves its purpose. With its size being right at 22' it works seamlessly as moniter and tv. Keep in mind the clarity is pretty good, however you will see different contrasts if you sit lower than the tv. Its better off eye-level (i had to put it on a higher shelf to make room in my dorm :( ) but for the money, size, portability, and features, there isnt much out there at the moment that competes. I've had no problems with it. I love the resolution (1680X1050) the contrast ratio is great (1000:1). Resolution and contrast ratio are the critical components that you compare televisions with. It has enough inputs (vga, hdmi, rgb, and an audio jack out...gotta get your own splitter). The takebacks on it are that it doesnt tilt, other than that, I can't find anything else I don't like about it...but once again for $400 it doesn't get much better, if at all...

I was a little concerned about it being an off brand, but I don't have any real complaints. I am impressed.
Beware that you CANNOT have both a yellow composite video cable AND a S-Video plugged in at the same time, it will overheat and destroy the unit. I made this mistake. Afterwards I read the users manual (yes I am a man) and read the warning clearly states in there that it is an EITHER OR thing. The picture is really nice and you can output the sound to your high powered amplifier receiver with the Coaxial SPDIF Out. The remote is lame and the speakers wimpy, but like I said, you can output the sound to an amp. For the price this is a fantastic deal. Nice picture.

I have owned this TV for about 9 months now and it is great. Very nice picture with Digital Cable and the HD channels looks amazing. I bought this from costco and paid around 650 for last thanksgiving. My parents have a high end Panasonic plazma and this was considerably cheaper but the picture and quality is only a little less, very good value. I would buy again from Vizio.

I was in the market for my first Flat Panel HDTV and I came across the Vizio 32" on overstock. Overstock's price was good, and with a 10% off coupon was great. The TV is awesome, and the picture is way better than I expected it to be. The 2 HDMI inputs are more than you would expect on a TV this inexpensive, and come in handy considering that I have my HD cable box and PS3 hooked up to it using these inputs. The color temps and settings definitely need some tuning, but this is to be expected for nearly all flat panel TV's. The only thing that takes points off for me is the fact that it's a little cumbersome, and the Vizio brand is compatible with all universal remotes. But all in all, it's a great TV, especially for the price.

WARNING! If you want to be forced to watch stretched (distorted) image, (with a few exceptions of some HD digital channels), this ViewSonic model is the right TV set for you!
The two tuners on this HDTV receive both digital (w/ or w/o HD), and analog channels. When tuning to the analog and to some of the digital non-HD channels, the originally broadcasted 4x3 images are stretched to fully cover the wide screen size of 16x9 ratio of this HDTV set. This "linear image distortion" causes people to look fat and the overall image very unpleasant to watch.
After going through the manual, I could not find any setting selection to correct this problem. (Some LCD HDTVs have setting options like "STRETCH", ZOOM, SIDE BARS, etc., but not this one).
I called ViewSonic customer service, and, after being on hold for 15 minutes, I was told that "this is normal" and "there are no settings to correct this problem", and then the call was somehow disconnected (did they hang up on me? I don't know!).

For the money this tv is a good buy. Very happy with the puchase. Really enjoy the pip. Hi-Def channels look great. Tech. support was also helpful for those of us that don't want to read the manual.

I work at Sears as a TV salesmen and im a college student. So I know a few things about televisions. I am one of the better part time salesmen in our store but anyways.
Being a college student, I didn't have alot of money to throw around. Im 18 years old and wanted an HDTV to play my Xbox 360 on. All I have to say is I made the right decision.
Being around TVs for 6 to 8 hours straight can get annoying but it does give you alot of time to look at each set and see the differences in quality and price.
The best two looking television in the 32 range LCD are obviously the Sony Bravia KDL-32S3000 32" 720p LCD HDTV sets or the Samsungs. Yes they do look better but they by no means look $400 better than the Vizio. So weighing out all my options and wanted to stay under the $700 range it was either the Vizio, Sylvania, or the Olevia. This was the no brainer of the year. The Vizio looks so much better than both these sets and the worst thing is the Vizio is cheaper than the Sylvania.

I had been in the market for a HDTV/Monitor for a month and the Visio VX32L was well reviewed on the consumer comparison websites. Overstock pricing along with the lack of shipping costs made buying the item from their site a no brainer. Happy with the entire transaction.

This TV is working out perfectly for me. I replaced a non digital TV and needed something that would fit in the same sized entertainment center space. It is fairly light and was easy to set up. A great picture and excellent sound.

I really love the is TV. The set-up was very simple. The picture quality is great. The audio quality is not as strong as other TVs. However, for the price, this TV is a great value!

I have this tv hooked up to my computer, gaming console, and satellite. The picture is fantastic and it is very easy to switch between the three. I highly recommend this product.

The TV has a fairly good picture but the H D reception
is not quite as sharp as my other LCD (Panasonic)
Internal sound system is no so hot, but connecting to
a surround sound unit improves it a great deal. The
unit is a good bargin when consitering cost and the
quality.

Great TV and even thought is refurbished, I've had no problems. HD looks fantastic. Annoying light at Visio is illuminated during movies in the dark...try not to stare at it.

The Vizio has a great picture for the price and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast their Support staff responded when I had trouble programming the remote. I would recommend this TV and this company to anyone.
