Sony BRAVIA N Series KDL-32N4000 32 LCD TV - 32 - Active Matrix TFT - ATSC, NTSC - 16:9 - 1366 x 768 - Dolby - HDTV - 720p, 1080i

I bought this HDTV direct from Sony (www.sonystyle.com) after I got a lemon Samsung delivered by Amazon.

The KDL-32N4000 is a great HDTV. I did a lot of online and in-store comparison shopping prior to picking it, and I always found Sonys standout in the lineups.

Very impressed overall with design, form, and function compared to Samsung and Sharp. It has great color, great sound, and no detectable motion blur. Sony takes all aspects of design and function very seriously, and it shows. It has a very easy to learn and clean user interface, which is nice. The essential manual buttons are on top (but hidden from direct view), making it a nice child proof feature.

Save your money and get a Sony 720p 60Hz (upto 37" screens) instead of the 1080p 120Hz. Get a 1080p if you really must have it for watching native 1080p feeds. There will not be any 1080p TV broadcasts for many years.

Sony KDL-32L4000 32" (31.5" Diagonal) Class BRAVIA L Series LCD TV

I'll try to be succinct as possible, but I thought it might be helpful to compare the L and M series Sony Bravia televisions currently on the market, as they are similarly priced, and people may be wondering what differences are any may be worth the price or size difference/sacrifice.

I recently "tried" both the M series 26" Bravia and the L series 32", and ultimately chose to keep the L series. (Both were basically the same price.)

To make a long story short, the M series is a step up. There is a better control over picture display, display options, as well as a lot of convenient features like "live color" (I believe that's what it's called) which automatically adjusts colors to make flesh tones appear more accurate, and some kind of "smart sound" feature (which I'm not sure Sony's name for) which adjusts the level of the volume so commercials don't blast when you're watching a tv show--which is particularly helpful if you're an insomniac like me and other people are sleeping. It

LG 32" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV

Okay, Big Deal on the number of HDMI Ports. 3 or 4, what does it matter. I bought a television first and foremost for the picture, then sound.

This LG has a great picture. Granted, its my first HDTV, but I could not be happier. I have compared it to some sets in bargain, mass "Mart" type chains and I can see a difference. 1080p in 32" is not commonplace yet, but it does make a difference. Fast motion sports and other similar types of viewing remain very fluid and no jagged edges appear.

The sound is above average, but I certainly do not expect it to sound like my home theatre system.

This TV is one that I would recommend to everyone.

Sony KDL-32L4000 32" (31.5" Diagonal) Class BRAVIA L Series LCD TV

I purchased this TV locally at Wal-Mart in June, 2008 for $686. In the store it has rolled back to $598 in November and is currently $498 on line Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday (Out of Stock on line). WOW!!

The Wal-Mart extended warranty mirrors the Sony warranty, meaning in home service, which can be purchased in the store for two years and there is a three year option (True three year) on line for $88. Wal-Mart has a ninety day no hassle return policy. Great selling points.

After my 30 inch Toshiba CRT television failed I compared Sony, Samsung and Panasonic 32 to 37 inch varieties. For a viewing distance of about 15 feet, I thought the 32 inch would suffice. However, it is just a bit too small. I opted for the 32 inch TV, since one person could carry it and it would easily fit in the backseat of my car to bring it home from the store. In retrospect, the Sony 37 inch may have been a better fit in the room, and it might have just squeezed in the back seat of my car. However,

With all the crying over a 4th port that isn't actually available this TV is getting a bad rating for basically nothing. I hate it when people can't find their tissue.

This screen looks great is is priced right for the size. Highly recommend it!

This unit is advertised as having 4 HDMI inputs. It only has 3. If that's not bad enough, the 120mhz spec is also false. Together these two false claims take what would be a top of the line 32" LCD for a fair price down to an average LCD for a high price. I don't know which company is responsible, but between Amazon and LG this is really weak sauce.

Set looks great right out the box with no adjustments. Beautiful unit, and I recommend reagrless of if the 120mhz note was a error on Amazon's side. If you can really tell that big a difference anyway, I really cannot. I currently just have an HD antenna hooked up and it looks amazing....one of the best small sets on the market right now for the money. Makes my friends Sony Bravia look like S.

I was in the market for upgrading the last of the CRT televisions in the house. For a viewing distance of about 12 feet, I needed something relatively big enough for that distance, that had HD capability, was inexpensive and reliable.

Other flatscreen TVs around the house that I own include a Panasonic Viera 50" Plasma 85 Series, Sony 37" Plasma, Sony 32" Bravia LCD.

SETUP:
The television is relatively light and I was able to connect the base to the television and lift it upon the stand without too much effort. 3 phillips screws were all that was necessary.

After initializing the television for language, the autoprogram feature for channels worked relatively quickly picking up about 66 analog and 111 digital channels.

USE:
The remote is a no frills highly functional remote with standard buttons. The menu system is clear and intuitive. The buttons of the remote are large and it is easy to read, for a farsighted person like myself.

IMAGE QUALITY:
Standard definition and high definition

This 32LG70 was supposed to have 4 HDMI ports but only has 3. It's also suppose to have TruMotion 120Hz and does not!!I called LG and was told that it was limited by my Comcast Cable connection. When I pressed them, I was told that the 32" model didn't have TruMotion 120Hz. They said they are not responsible for what Amazon claims on their site. I pointed out the specs on the LG site and they quickly updated from 4 to 3 HDMI. LG said a manager would call me tomorrow. I'll see.

I've been living ecstatically with the 32N4000 for 3 months now and my only regret is that I didn't shell out a couple more hundred bucks for the 37" version. Still, I think about buying a 32" high definition LCD with 5.1 stereo surround for $800 bucks retail and I have to smile and thank my lucky stars I picked the right set.

OK, let's get real. If you already have a surround sound system then this is not the set for you. You can simply buy the 32M4000 with its conventional stereo speakers and be just as happy. But if you are like I was and surround soundless then this is without a doubt the way to go. If you've never experienced watching a movie in 5.1 surround in your home then you don't know what you're missing and this is the easiest and most integrated way of finding out.

The key to the 32N4000 sound performance is not in the 5 channel speakers (three on the set and two satellites) but the .1 subwoofer which allows the satellites to sing without having to croak into the lower

Sony KDL-32L4000 32" (31.5" Diagonal) Class BRAVIA L Series LCD TV

Bought this as Wally Mart 2 weeks ago and it worked great right out of the box with minimal 10 minutes of unpacking and setup, just like any typical Sony Bravia. Picture is great but I do like our bigger 40" Sony Bravia - just a "bigger" picture. HOWEVER, for only $686, this 32" TV just can't be beat in my opinion. Of course, we don't need 1080 technology because it's just a bedroom TV for us - no gamebox use or blu-ray. But this TV sure kicks arese compared to our old bedroom tube TV. The only thing I don't like about this TV is it takes about 12 seconds to actually come to life once it's turned on with our Comcast remote and it's a little sluggish when changing channels, especially hi-def. Our 40" Bravia that I bought 2 years ago does NOT do either of these things. I'm not sure why this one takes so long, but once it's turned on, it's ok.

Philips 32PFL5403D LCD HDTV

I recently purchased this Philips 32" TV, and I am very pleased with my purchase. After looking at different models of 32" televisions available, the different brands and specs had me a little worried about making the right decision. However this TV has great picture, looks modern and stylish, has plenty of imputs, and is easy to use and program. It looks great for movies, games, and hd and regular TV programing, it even cleans up analog channels somewhat. I have also used a 32 inch samsung and I certainly could not say that it was is any better than this, in fact i think i prefer the philips. Also, as far as looking at specs when buying a tv, do not be worried if you are considering this television: considering its size and price range it is very competitive. I was a little worried about its 8ms response time considering samsung and some others have 6ms or even 4ms, but i cannot tell the difference and from what I have read there are differences between manufacturers when it comes

KDL32M4000 32 BRAVIA M Series LCD Flat Panel HDTV with Built-In ATSC/QAM Tuner

Pros:
-Love the design, Piano black bezel and rounded corners. Always expected when buying SONY products.
-Great Contrast, color, and brightness.
-Fantastic digital processor, so I let the TV do all the work...I set my regular progressive scan DVD player to 480i and run it via a component cable to the TV. Dvd player is set to 16:4 Wide screen ratio, with a widesreen version DVD movie WOW it look AWSOME! I had to pick and choose which color preset looked the best, the cinema was great for me.
-Great menus, easy to read and use.
-Inset Speaker design not only looks elegant but sounds great!

Cons:
Not anything serious, juss things I think would have made it better.
-Adding 1 more HDMI input, maybe on the side?
-Swivel stand.

*I'm very happy with this TV, I have been waiting to pick up a HD set for some time and I'm glad it was a SONY bravia. I have always loved SONY's designs and how they put things together....its always with class, something that is a must for electronics. Get this

I own a 40" 1080p SONY Bravia TV and bought the 32" 720 HDMI for the master bedroom together with the Peerless Universal Tilt Wall Mount for 13 - 37". The 720p resolution is very good for this TV size but I do not recomend it as a PC monitor unless it is used for games or movies.
This model has a a little better contrast than the L series and PIP capability, when PC is used as main source; also the Piano finish worths the money for some dollars more in Amazon. The Tv does not come with SVGA cable as the 40" did.

I'm the first reviewer? Wow. Do I get a prize for that? I guess not...

This is an excellent choice for a first HDTV, or for installation in a bedroom or small apartment living room. The picture (with a little tweaking) is GREAT and the set comes with a Dolby 5.1 sound system.

This may sound strange, but my highest praise is for the remote control. The mark of a great remote is "How fast can I find the buttons I want in the dark?" On that score, this is the best remote I've ever seen (felt). The "most used" buttons are distinct from each other in shape and placement, and everything has a very solid feel.

I would say the manual is well written but I've hardly used it. Setup took only 30 minutes, including the process for finding all the available channels. The menus are easy to learn quickly. One of the first things you'll do is take the darn thing out of the store display mode (unless you don't need your retinas anymore). Find the Cinema Mode in the Picture menu and start

Sony KDL-32L4000 32" (31.5" Diagonal) Class BRAVIA L Series LCD TV

This is my first venture in the HDTV era. I patiently waited for years waiting for price drops. LCD HDTV's have finally become affordable and something rare... Sony has come out with an affortable decent size HDTV. This tv is sharp both aesthetically and the picture. I never saw this tv in person so I had no idea the bottom was clear plastic. It looks like solid silver in the pictures but it is clear in fact. It makes it look that much better. The sound is not great but HDTV's are meant to be paired with entertainment speakers. There are two HDMI slots and tons of component slots. The TV is solid in short. I paired the TV with a sony upconverter (Which I will review as well), and that did wonders to my DVD collection. The picture was not near HD quality but it was without a doubt better than ever before. It did improve the picture and the colors are vivid and bright. I have standard expanded cable service and plugged the cable in before turning on the tv for the first time. When I turned

I have had this television set since May 9th and am very pleased with it. Even I was able to set it up. I don't have the expertise to evaluate the technicalities, but I recognize an outstanding picture when I see it. I thought I had a defective set for a three day period (faces were "sun-burned and most everything was pink), but the problem turned out to be a defective cable from my cable provider. The size of the set isn't overpowering in my small room. For watching baseball games and nature programs this set provides a picture that is superb. I can't imagine you doing any better than this set.

Philips 32PFL5403D LCD HDTV

Hi,
This is the 3rd hdtv lcd I have purchased this year but the 1st one I am happy with. I purchased a Samsung earlier this year after reading all the amazing reviews, maybe I was expecting too much but I felt disappointed when I had it at home. I then purchased the HP Media Smart 42" with the wifi, it is a nice lcd but it is way overpriced because of the useless wifi which is impossible to setup anyway. Took that right back to bestbuy the next day. Now for the Philips. I was debating whether to get the Sony Bravia L or this Philips. Even though this is more expensive I went with the Philips because of that gut feeling I had everytime I was disappointed with an lcd I told myself I should have got the Philips. Well I finally did and I am very happy with my purchase. I got it for $691 at Sams Club. As soon as it became available I ordered it. I have had it for 3 days now. As soon as I opened the box I liked the glass stand. The lcd itself has a very nice elegant minimalist design which I

We are very pleased with this television. The picture is crisp, sharp and vibrant. It has great sound and was easy to set-up. Looks nice, too. With a cheap antenna, we pick up a handful of analog stations and 10 or so digital stations without cable or a satellite. A few of them are already HD and are amazing. You can get cheaper, but I doubt they are anywhere near this good.
