Sony BRAVIA KDL-32L4000 32 LCD TV - 32 - ATSC, NTSC - 178 Horizontal / 178 Vertical - 16:9 - 1366 x 768 - HDTV
I purchased this TV locally at Wal-Mart in June, 2008 for $686. In the store it has rolled back to $598 in November and is currently $498 on line Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday (Out of Stock on line). WOW!!

The Wal-Mart extended warranty mirrors the Sony warranty, meaning in home service, which can be purchased in the store for two years and there is a three year option (True three year) on line for $88. Wal-Mart has a ninety day no hassle return policy. Great selling points.

After my 30 inch Toshiba CRT television failed I compared Sony, Samsung and Panasonic 32 to 37 inch varieties. For a viewing distance of about 15 feet, I thought the 32 inch would suffice. However, it is just a bit too small. I opted for the 32 inch TV, since one person could carry it and it would easily fit in the backseat of my car to bring it home from the store. In retrospect, the Sony 37 inch may have been a better fit in the room, and it might have just squeezed in the back seat of my car. However,

Sony BRAVIA KDL-32L4000 32 LCD TV - 32 - ATSC, NTSC - 178 Horizontal / 178 Vertical - 16:9 - 1366 x 768 - HDTV
I was in the market for upgrading the last of the CRT televisions in the house. For a viewing distance of about 12 feet, I needed something relatively big enough for that distance, that had HD capability, was inexpensive and reliable.

Other flatscreen TVs around the house that I own include a Panasonic Viera 50" Plasma 85 Series, Sony 37" Plasma, Sony 32" Bravia LCD.

SETUP:
The television is relatively light and I was able to connect the base to the television and lift it upon the stand without too much effort. 3 phillips screws were all that was necessary.

After initializing the television for language, the autoprogram feature for channels worked relatively quickly picking up about 66 analog and 111 digital channels.

USE:
The remote is a no frills highly functional remote with standard buttons. The menu system is clear and intuitive. The buttons of the remote are large and it is easy to read, for a farsighted person like myself.

IMAGE QUALITY:
Standard definition and high definition

Sony KDL-37M4000 Bravia 37" M4000 LCD Television
Like a previous reviewer, we were in the market for a TV that would fit our entertainment unit. I found this unit at Amazon for $300.00 less than the same model at Best Buy, and it was even less than the Sony L-series model at Amazon (I've since noticed that the cost at Amazon increased in the last week by $100.00). I also ordered the Sony upscaling DVD player and 2 HDMI cables from Amazon with my order.

We have Time Warner Cable, and I needed to upgrade our box for HDTV. The HDMI cables make installation easier - not having to fumble around with those color-coded cables. This is our first HDTV, and we are very impressed with the picture. The set is handsome (gloss black color and rounded corners) and fits our entertainment center perfectly.

Sony KDL-37M4000 Bravia 37" M4000 LCD Television
I am terribly disappointed by the quality of this product. Like others have mentioned, the picture is basically a fuzzy, pixelated mess. We got the original one and the picture quality was poor. Sony agreed to exchange it for us, and the second one was even worse than the first. This one is also going back, and we're looking elsewhere for a TV.

We tried all sorts of stuff to make it work, and no dice. Our Panasonic 32" HD TV works perfectly fine on both of our Comcast boxes, and not even the DVD player looks good on this thing, so it's not an issue of the bandwidth/feed. For this amount of money, this lack of quality is a joke.
Utterly ridiculous lack of quality

Sony BRAVIA KDL-32L4000 32 LCD TV - 32 - ATSC, NTSC - 178 Horizontal / 178 Vertical - 16:9 - 1366 x 768 - HDTV
Bought this as Wally Mart 2 weeks ago and it worked great right out of the box with minimal 10 minutes of unpacking and setup, just like any typical Sony Bravia. Picture is great but I do like our bigger 40" Sony Bravia - just a "bigger" picture. HOWEVER, for only $686, this 32" TV just can't be beat in my opinion. Of course, we don't need 1080 technology because it's just a bedroom TV for us - no gamebox use or blu-ray. But this TV sure kicks arese compared to our old bedroom tube TV. The only thing I don't like about this TV is it takes about 12 seconds to actually come to life once it's turned on with our Comcast remote and it's a little sluggish when changing channels, especially hi-def. Our 40" Bravia that I bought 2 years ago does NOT do either of these things. I'm not sure why this one takes so long, but once it's turned on, it's ok.

Philips 32PFL5403D LCD HDTV
I recently purchased this Philips 32" TV, and I am very pleased with my purchase. After looking at different models of 32" televisions available, the different brands and specs had me a little worried about making the right decision. However this TV has great picture, looks modern and stylish, has plenty of imputs, and is easy to use and program. It looks great for movies, games, and hd and regular TV programing, it even cleans up analog channels somewhat. I have also used a 32 inch samsung and I certainly could not say that it was is any better than this, in fact i think i prefer the philips. Also, as far as looking at specs when buying a tv, do not be worried if you are considering this television: considering its size and price range it is very competitive. I was a little worried about its 8ms response time considering samsung and some others have 6ms or even 4ms, but i cannot tell the difference and from what I have read there are differences between manufacturers when it comes

Viewsonic N1930w 19" Widescreen LCD TV with 4000:1 Dynamic Contrast
This TV is definitely below average in every way. It is clear ViewSonic intends to cut cost wherever possible. The screen cannot be tilted. Thus, if you setup your TV high up on a shelf, the screen dims considerably because of the viewing angle. The electronics of this set is SLOW. You soon realize that when it takes perhaps 5 minutes to autoscan the available channels. When you use the up and down buttons to change channels, the tuner "waits" for half a second, then the screen blanks for another half a second before the new channel pops up on the screen. If you like to flip through the channels, this set will frustrate you. The speakers are weak and the sound has no body. There is little difference between 50% and 100% volume levels. Even the included batteries for the remote are cheap carbon batteries instead of the normal alkalines.

LG 22" 720p Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Overall, this TV is excellent for what I want of it. I'm not sure what others had in mind when they purchase it, but for my needs, this TV is absolutely perfect doing double-duty as my computer monitor and small bedroom television. It's actually 22", widescreen, and high-definition, with brilliant color, nice design, compact size, hidden speakers (which, somewhat reduces audio quality, but adds to visual appeal), and at least one hook-up for any kind of device you need. As a monitor, it takes my computer to a whole new level, and as a HD television for my Xbox (using a VGA cable), the images are overwhelming at times. For the price, this TV is an excellent purchase, and a great compact television.

However, the one I bought had a single burned out pixel (which I was too lazy to take back and replace with another TV; not that noticeable unless you're watching something that's really dark and are sitting a foot away from the screen); plus, the TV has no tilt or turn ability. Instead,

Sony KDL-37M4000 Bravia 37" M4000 LCD Television
I am not at all satisfied with this SONY product. I could never get a bright picture. the picture is all hazy with low contrast. I am returing this product at the expense of $100 for shipping.

LG 22" 720p Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Good picture, compact size (the frame is narrow so takes less space), has PC input that works fine, menus pretty nicely done, but has serious lip synching problems, doesn't fit picture to screen all that well (and yes it is 16:10 so images are slightly tall). Sound has weak frequency range and does sound tinny, however I used headphone jack to feed stereo audio output to my receiver and that feed sounds fine. As I write this, I'm thinking there has to be better model out there...sharp and Toshiba 22 inch displays were not yet available when I purchased this one, only other option was a Vizio, which I tried, but dark backgrounds had lots of noise.

Sharp 19" 720p Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
After reading the other reviews here, and checking this model (and others) out at brick & mortar stores, we decided to buy it despite the negative comments on the sound/volume. As others here have noted the picture is quite nice, but more important we did not have any problems with the volume. We have not yet turned it up over maybe 1/3 of the total, and it is plenty loud enough for our living room. Granted, we are not vacuuming while watching TV, but we do have a couple of rambunctious kids, and they TV is plenty loud enough with them running around.

Sony BRAVIA 32" Class 720p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Pros:
-Love the design, Piano black bezel and rounded corners. Always expected when buying SONY products.
-Great Contrast, color, and brightness.
-Fantastic digital processor, so I let the TV do all the work...I set my regular progressive scan DVD player to 480i and run it via a component cable to the TV. Dvd player is set to 16:4 Wide screen ratio, with a widesreen version DVD movie WOW it look AWSOME! I had to pick and choose which color preset looked the best, the cinema was great for me.
-Great menus, easy to read and use.
-Inset Speaker design not only looks elegant but sounds great!

Cons:
Not anything serious, juss things I think would have made it better.
-Adding 1 more HDMI input, maybe on the side?
-Swivel stand.

*I'm very happy with this TV, I have been waiting to pick up a HD set for some time and I'm glad it was a SONY bravia. I have always loved SONY's designs and how they put things together....its always with class, something that is a must for electronics. Get this

Viewsonic N1630W 15.6" Widescreen LCD TV
I am looking for a small HDTV so I can use it as a secondary monitor - this one suit my purpose considering I only paid $199 for it.

PLUS
- Very good HDTV picture quality - I connect it to my cable and the tuner is smart enough to pickup all ANALOG and UNSCRAMBLED HD channels automatically. Overall HD picture quality is good.
- It has one VGA, one HDMI, one component video, one S-Video and one composite video input - pretty good for a cheap TV.
- NO NEED FOR AC ADAPTER!! The power supply is built-into the TV cabinet.
- Sleep Timer

MINUS
- Not very bright at all
- Limited vertical viewing angle
- Limted tilt; does not swivel from side to side
- Anemic sounding speakers / slightly better after I adjust bass/treble
- Mediocre picture quality as a PC monitor

Overall, for $199 don't expect it to perform like a Sharp or a SONY but I give it 4 star based on its sheer value and it's HDTV picture quality. It's a nice addition as a second monitor because you can also use it as a HDTV.

LG 22" 720p Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Easy to setup and easy to watch, the 22LG30 is an excellent buy for the price.

After purchasing this unit and receiving it, I had it wall-mounted and setup in almost no time.

The color and picture requires some tweaking (I had it set to 'warm', from the default 'cool' setting and also increased brightness a bit) and the audio as others have commented is weaker than what you'd hope to get (I improved the audio by increasing treble and bass to 100%, and setting the sound option to 'music' from the default). One thing I could not adjust as well was the black, which was not quite as black as I would like but better than what I expected (from an entry-level priced LCD TV).

Overall, I am quite happy with this purchase!

Philips 19PFL3403D 19-inch HD Flatscreen LCD TV-Philips 19PFL3403D 19 Flat LCD HDTV
I bought this TV to replace the one in our bedroom, that was destroyed by a surge during a recent storm. (Dumb me, I didn't have a surge protector on it!) The old TV was a 13 inch screen and this one seems huge in comparison. It's the perfect size for the bedroom and has exceptional picture and sound quality. It fits with any decor and I absolutely love it. I would recommend it to anyone who asked! DON'T FORGET THE SURGE PROTECTOR!

Sony BRAVIA 32" Class 720p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I own a 40" 1080p SONY Bravia TV and bought the 32" 720 HDMI for the master bedroom together with the Peerless Universal Tilt Wall Mount for 13 - 37". The 720p resolution is very good for this TV size but I do not recomend it as a PC monitor unless it is used for games or movies.
This model has a a little better contrast than the L series and PIP capability, when PC is used as main source; also the Piano finish worths the money for some dollars more in Amazon. The Tv does not come with SVGA cable as the 40" did.

LG 22" 720p Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I'm confused, this tv is listed as having 16:9 aspect ratio on amazon, onecall where it came from and lg website. recieved tv yesterday and set up with comcast box and hdmi cable. set tv at 16:9 and it has black strips at top and bottom of pic. measured screen and did the math. tv actually has 16:10 aspect so i am sending it back as i can't watch hd tv with distorted figures." do all 22" 1680 by 1050 panels have this issue? also poor sound

Sharp 19" 720p Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
This Sharp LCD HDTV Is great. Has a super clear picture... works flawlessly in 480P mode with my Nintendo Wii and Dvd. The built in digital tuner was able to pick up about 15 Digital HDTV Channels using a standard indoor rabbit ears antenna. I am also very impressed with the black level and contrast. Will also connect to a pc in in full 1360x768 resolution. This tv also has an optical out for connecting a dolby digital 5.1 tuner. It amazing to get True DD 5.1 surround sound from shows such as CSI Miami. The built in speakers are only 2 watt. So I recomend use of external speakers with this set. the resolution of 720P is perfect for this size HDTV. 480p sources such as dvds and wii across the component cables scale very well and look great. I would highly recomend this set to anyone looking for a high quality Small size HDTV set.

Viewsonic N1630W 15.6" Widescreen LCD TV
We have small televisions in our office. We have about 15 Sharp Aquos tv's that we are very happy with, but Sharp stopped making the smaller screens. There are really not that many options for small screen tv's. I read the reviews on the Viewsonic and at first was hesitant, but decided to try one. The picture is very good and since we watch them sitting at a desk, there is no problem with the viewing angle. The sound is not very good, but acceptable for our purpose. I would not recommend this tv for home use unless in low volume situations or use with external speakers as the other reviewer mentioned.

Viewsonic N2230W 22" LCD TV
I have purchased both CRT and LCD Viewsonic monitors and now this 720p HDTV. It's inexpensive and does the job but I expected more. I dislike the "stylish" stand with tiny narrow neck as the monitor wobbles easily. The remote and connector layout is a identical to the Envision. The menus are also identical. It appears a company in China makes The TV for various companies like Envision and Viewsonic. This is a problem for me as both lcd tvs are in the same room. This Viewsonic is the first purchased LCD to have a dead bright pixel. The screen is bright and clear with the usual slight light leak at the top edge. The speakers sound shallow so I don't use them. I have the PC sound connected to PC audio in with powered speakers connected to headphone out. This provides full range clean sound for both PC and TV. The tuner is great for HD content programming from a roof mounted antenna. Only the remote and power cord come with the TV. I had to buy a vga cable.
I'm returning it only because
