Samsung 52" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I've had this tv for 30 days now and I am so happy with it. I wanted to allow time for any problems to surface such as the auto-off problem that I had read about in earlier reviews. Samsung must have done the firmware fix at the factory or I was just lucky. My experience with this purchase from Amazon was totally positive in every aspect.

This was my first major online purchase so I was a bit nervous. I had been researching and comparing Samsung, Toshiba, Sony and Sharp 52" LCD HDTV's for the past 6 months. Comparing price and features the Samsung LN52A650 is certainly the one with the most bang for your buck. With Amazon's price plus free shipping and zero tax none of the local big stores could come close. And I had been watching the sales. We're not rich so when we make a major purchase it has to be right.

The TV was delivered exactly one week from the day I placed the order. Eagle called the day before to give us a delivery timeframe and they were on time. We live way out

Samsung 52" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
We purchased this TV for lounge area in MBR. We agonized over 46" versus 52" and are extremely happy that we opted for the 52". The picture is wonderful and the swivel base allows us to angle TV to either sitting area or bed. Very happy that we opted for the matte screen rather than the polished screen on the 650 and 750 as our room is very bright. We paid $1809 which was a very fair and competitive price at time we ordered and received $100 credit when the price dropped four weeks later (within Amazon's 30 day price protection window). We are in remote area of NM yet the set was delivered and setup in just 4 days.

Samsung 52" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Samsung LN52A750 52-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV with RED Touch of ColorThis is without a doubt the Best available. Ordered June 25 and amazon said it would arrive July 7th. TV actually arrived on the 3rd and was installed same day. We have installed the set in a room with six bright windows facing the set.We could not ask for better picture quality. Reflections are not a issue. Nor is the "halo" effect some have refered to. Between the product and Amazon we could not be any happier with our purchase.

Samsung 52" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Let me start this off by saying... when it comes to "tech stuff", I'm a bit of a moron. So, if you're looking for a review that was written by someone who knows "stuff", quit reading. I've had this tv for about a week now and both me and the wife LOVE it. The picture is amazing!!!! All we did was unpack it, plug everything in and turn it on. It was super simple to set up and the picture is awesome, even with factory settings. I've read a bunch of reviews that talk about the picture even being better after "tweeking" it, but I can't imaging it being any better. My wife and I don't agree on everything though; I HAVE to turn the 120Hz off when watching movies and some tv shows, it's just too life-like. My wife however loves it. I love the way that it makes sports, reality shows and news look, just not movies and most tv shows. But, just turn it off and the picture looks perfect (to me anyway). Lastly, Amazon's price beat the brick and mortor stores by almost $1000. I ordered it on a Sunday

Samsung 52" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
The Samsung LN52A650 is spectacular. I have had the tv for two weeks (having purchased through Amazon.) Deep blacks have really improved my picture from all sources. This TV also handles SD signals well. I was afraid that my Wii video might look more aliased ("jaggies"), but it handles it very well.

Bluray is like no other. I love the auto motion plus (120Hz technology), but it does take time to get used to at first. The picture is SO smooth that it makes movies have a documentary feel to them. It looks live. I think Americans (like me) in general, aren't used to that live feel for movies. After careful observation, it is superior, and I shudder when I switch the 120Hz off because it is so chopped up looking in comparison. 1080i sources are also greatly improved because of this and feel more like a progressive scan source. Video games on the PS3 look great too.

The only disappointment I have is that the Optical audio output will only route Stereo audio coming from a 5.1 digital

Canon VIXIA 3.3MP High-Definition Digital Camcorder with Flash Memory - Black
This is a marvelous camcorder. Rather than repeat what some of the other reviews have mentioned, I thought I'd explain how to import video on the Mac, because it wasn't obvious to me. First, you must have an Intel based Mac running Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). You also need iMovie '08, which comes with new Macs. If you're running an older version of Mac OS X (such as Tiger) or have an older version of iMovie, or have a PowerPC based Mac, you won't be able to import video from this camera.

To import video, attach the camcorder to the Mac with the USB cable that's included with the camcorder. Make sure you plug your camcorder into AC power, running from the battery won't work. Set the mode dial on the camera to video playback (the little blue camcorder icon). Turn on the camcorder. Now open the LCD display on the camcorder, and you'll see it's asking you a question: use the joystick to choose "computer" for where you're connecting the USB cable. I spent some time the first time I wanted to import

Samsung 46" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
First of all, AVOID ORDERING FROM 6AVENUE ELECTRONICS! THEY HAVE NO REFUND POLICY ON LARGE TVS NO MATTER HOW BAD IT IS, AND THE DELIVERY GUY DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TIME TO TURN IT ON AND TRY IT WHEN ITS DELIVERED.

No for the rest.

I don't usually write reviews often but this really upset me. I did a lot of research before I purchased this television. Almost all the reviewers loved LN46A550, and it received top marks on almost every web site I looked. Which is why I was very surprised when I turned it on.

First the good.
1) looks nice
2) great contrast ratio and viewing angle
3) very bright
4) picture from a quality HD source like blue ray dist on a PS3 looks great, AS LONG AS THERE IS NOT MUCH MOTION ON THE SCREEN.

Now the bad:

1) analog SD TV looks absolutely horrific. The screen has these faint linear distortions going vertically on most channels, and the picture is very pixelated and blurry, especially around faces and moving objects. not every SD channel is equally bad, but

Samsung 52" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
Picture absolutely stunning. Vibrant colors, crystal clear HD output. Even SD Channels are nice. All I have is ordinary Philips VHF/UHF Antenna I got from RadioShack and I am able to receive plenty of free-to-air HD Channels. The only issue sometimes I face is remote not responding promptly when I click buttons. I have to move my hands here and there especially Volume button to make it work. I think a decent Universal Remote Control will solve this problem. Other than that its absolutely gorgeous. Really Love this set.

Samsung 40" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
This is my third experience with HDTVs and the best thus far. The picture quality of this set is superb. The color is dead on out of the box, almost no need for any further adjustments. The set like all LCDs has a very bright picture but sacrifices little in the contrast ratio. The darks almost stand up to the plasmas. The 120 Hz refresh rate is a must for any high end LCD. This has eliminated the pixilation associated with high speed action moments seen on other digital TVs. The sound coming from the system is crisp but the available volume levels are nothing to write home about. George Lucas would have you buy a high end surround sound system to fully complement the TV. The remote control could have been better. The scroll wheel serves no purpose except to frustrate you every time you miss your selection. The styling of this set is awesome. It looks like a work of art. Unless you really don't like red (which is almost unnoticeable), you will love the look of this TV. I would

Panasonic 50" 1080p Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV
I have been the proud owner of the Panasonic TH-50PZ85U plasma TV set for about a month.
This is my first flat-panel television and I switched from a 27 inch CRT Sony Trinitron.

Pricing, Ordering and Delivery:

I had been monitoring the price of this set ever since it got released earlier this year.
I had many opportunities to look at the set with my own eyes at Best Buy and other retailers but the price from most of these retailers was a little high, when considering that I would need to add sales tax as well as shipping (I found out that the box with the television would never fit in my car!).
So, when I saw the attractive price - with no sales tax - on Amazon, I jumped on it. Also, the free "while glove" delivery was a big plus as I had read too many horror stories about people getting a damaged or broken television and spending way to much time and energy to finally get a replacement.
The price on Amazon was several hundred dollars less than most local retailers.

Ordering was easy.

Panasonic 50" Class 1080p Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV
Set was delivered quickly by Amazon and unpacked, but delivery man could not help lift it up on TV stand (liability problems). After my son helped me lift set to TV - not really all that heavy - the set worked perfectly and the picture with all input sources was beautiful. I used PC Mag web hints on setting up controls for best picture, though I did not thoroughly calibrate it. Screen format options are excellent - help prevent any burn in (though set has built in pixel burn protection, anyway).
Only minor complaint is that this screen shows more room reflections than my previous Samsung DLP rear projector, but I am extremely satisfied with this purchase overall.

Pioneer KURO 60" Class 1080p Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV
Wow!

There is a noticeable picture improvement over 6010 (last year's model). Even analog channels look great (considering).

Pros:

Lighter
Thinner
4th HDMI input on the side
Optical out (audio) works with HDMI inputs
Optimum mode (adjusts to room light)
Game Mode (supposedly better burn-in avoidance, faster updates)
Cinema Mode (24 fps)
Ethernet Port for Media Display via PC network

Cons:
4th HDMI input moved to the side. Only three on the back
Cable Card Slot gone
Remote is passable, but not able to be a useful Universal Remote
Small text on the remote
Media Display options not accessible from Apple Macs
Deleting analog and digital channels found via the autosearch is painful because the channel doesn't change to the selected channel as you move down the list
HDMI control is problematic (one HDMI devices controls another - just use a universal remote instead)
Can't change settings for an input unless you are currently on that input

A big item for me is that I'd like all my input

Samsung 52" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
As a TV I cannot complain. The 1080p resolution is great. The 120hz update rate is amazing. Watching television, playing games, and watching movies is very enjoyable.

So all the fundamental reasons for me getting a new TV are met, however all the 'extra' features come up a little short. The DLNA feature currently useless for me. The Samsung server software can only host videos and pics that are on your local harddrive. I have all my stuff on an external harddrive. TVersity currently does not play well w/ the tv either. Hopefully Samsung or someone will release a better DLNA server app.

The RSS feeds to the television are nice, but are not configurable. So the only feed you can get is from usa today.

PIP is only possible with analog signals, meaning you cannot watch two HDMI inputs are the same time. (Who has a 52 inch 1080p tv and watches 2 analog inputs?)

The sound system is not great. Eventhough it comes with a (or extra) woofer, the sound is about the same as any other tv out there.

Onkyo TX-SR606S 7.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver - Silver
Purchased this on features but was disappointed on performance. No matter what I tried (lifting grounds, star grounding, expensive isolation transformer) I could not get rid of a buzz/hum when using HDMI input with a device outputting 1080P (video) and LPCM audio. It is NOT a user servicable grounding issue. Onkyo never replied to my questions. Check the AVS forum for lots of people experiencing the same issue. I don't know if its just a bad manufacturing run or not. This unit simply can not play under these circustances without the buzz/hum. I tried two different devices feeding it A/V with the same results. Either I got a bad unit or this is a bad design.

Pioneer KURO 50" Class 1080p Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV
I could not be more satisfied with this television. Last year I bought a 42" Vizio LCD for gaming because it was the only 42" I could find under $1000. However, after upgrading my home theater audio with a new receiver/speakers and buying a PS3 to watch Blu-ray movies, I really discovered what a sour piece of hardware my screen was. When you've spent the cash for a new player and bought a bunch of your favorite movies in Blu-ray format, the last thing you want to see is unnatural looking skin tones, lack of detail in dark and bright scenes, and awful video processing and motion blur!

I got fed up and decided to do my homework this time and prepare to spend what it takes to get a true quality display. I read several critical reviews and message boards which directed my attention to the Kuro line of Pioneer plasmas. I finally got a chance to see one at a local A/V store and absolutely fell in love. They had SportsCenter on in HD, doing an interview with Coach K from Duke, and the black backdrop

Philips DVDR3576H/37 160GB Hard Drive ATSC DVD Player and Recorder
This excellent unit is truly powerful and capable. It's a real bargain. It combines 3 different functions in one slim package, any one of which alone would have cost more than its sub-$300 price not so long ago: a 160 GB hard disk recorder, an ATSC digital tuner (and an analog NTSC tuner too), and a DVD recorder. Additionally, it breaks the DVD + / - format war by its ability to record on both.

This unit is one of the surprisingly few hard disk-plus-DVD recorder devices available today that has a digital tuner. It eliminates the high cost of monthly charges for a TIVO. No monthly charges at all!

It can do two things at once, allowing playback from either DVD or HDD programs while recording to HDD. It has a fan but it's quiet, and turns off about a minute after turning the unit off.

Recording TV programs
I use a roof antenna, and receive both analog and digital TV signals. Programming to record TV shows is very similar to programming a VCR manually. There is no automatic programming

Samsung 46" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I'm not typically one to review Item's here on Amazon. However I felt I would be doing Samsung an injustice not to review this amazing TV. After watching the market and learning about my needs as a consumer for the last year plus I decided to purchase this TV from Amazon. I choose Amazon because of there rock bottom pricing. If you figure in taxes and shipping (delivery) charges from your local electronic shop Amazon has them beat hands down.

Pros:
-The SDTV looks great, this was a huge fear for me going from a 32" JVC to the Samsung and I was surprised how great it looks. We sit 6' from the TV and do not suffer from screen door effects, etc.

-Anti-Glare: Most TV's we looked at were ultra reflective and made the picture near impossible to see in normal daylight situations.

-Sound: after reading the reviews here on Amazon I was really concerned that this near perfect TV would sound like a tin can. And to be honest when I first received it did. However after following the recommendations

Samsung Touch Of Color T260HD 26" LCD HDTV Monitor
I have a Samsung LN52A750 LCD television which is an awesome set for use either as an HDTV or as a computer monitor. I really like the style it has with the TOC (touch of color) and the crystalline bezel design. When the T260HD was announced it seemed like a great idea to upgrade my 22" monitor with this 26" and gain HDTV functions while matching the style of the larger set.

What a disappointment! When used as a PC monitor the text could not be sharper, but the colors are all washed out and blacks are a hazy shade of gray. This performance isn't nearly as good as the cheap 22" ACER it replaces! Since the 52" Samsung performs flawlessly as a monitor I figured this 26" just needed calibration. After adjusting the configuration of the video card AND using the supplied Samsung "Natural Color Pro" software, only very slight improvement could be made.

I then replaced the HDMI cable with a DVI cable to see if that was causing the poor performance... no luck. The images were identical. The DVI

Samsung SyncMaster 245T Widescreen LCD Monitor-24IN LCD 1000 1 1920X1200 245T MNTRVGA DVI 6MS CVBS SVID COM
Warning: When considering any widescreen monitor be sure your computer's video card supports the monitor's "native" resolution. The native resolution is the one setting that produces the best display on any given monitor. All flat screen monitors have a native resolution. In the case of this monitor you need a setting of 1920 X 1200. See your control panel/display settings. Be aware this is a tough requirement and many computers can not support it. Even new (budget) computers probably won't support this setting. Be sure to check that your computor supports a display resolution of 1920 x 1200. I understood this requirment prior to my purchase and upgraded my video card accordingly (cost = $120 plus a few hours of my time). My budget computer was 6 months old.

Pluses: This monitor has a very wide viewing angle and you can stand above it or move side to side and see a near perfect image. That may not be important to you but keep in mind that this feature adds considerably to this montor's

Samsung 46" 1080p 120Hz Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
I'm not a pro regarding televisions and certainly don't pretend to be. However, before buying this TV I did a lot of research (almost too much). This TV is amazing. The DVD upscaling from my ps3 blows my mind alone, then there's blue ray... amazing. I'll list a few pros/cons so I don't ramble on for too long:

PROs

1)blue ray and up scaled dvd's are vibrant.
2)gta iv and other ps3 games whether 1080 or 720 are beautiful and smooth
3)lots of inputs. 4 HDMI! Also, convenient connectors on side for quick setup.
4)turned off, the TV makes the room look sweet. The red isn't overwhelming in the least.
5)lots of options in menu. good for a variety of viewing options/environments
6)120 HZ is adjustable, necessary cause well... go to a store and see.
7)Although pricey, it's cheaper than comparable TVs

CONS

1)The remote is terrible. It's as if an ipod had a slow cousin. Minor pain.
2)Although I don't have issues with glare, it is possible to see how a house with lots of windows could be problematic.
3)It
