I bought this product specifically to use as a PC monitor and thought I was getting a good deal. $300 for a 1920x1200 resolution.
Well, it turns out the specs listed in amazon are completely wrong!
It's no even consistent if you read the whole thing.
This monitor is only 1680x1050.
So beware! I'm sure the monitor is still a good product but amazon sucked on that one! I called their support and sure, they were willing to let me refund it but I don't really have the time to wait for a new monitor to arrive.

This monitor is an excellent choice at this price point (@ $245 special). Visually, it compares to the best of the best (even Apple monitors, which are better, but this compares admirably). The speakers are worthless, but you shouldn't be buying this for sound. This monitor is all about good looks and stunning rendering. It has vivid colors and brightness (I don't think I have ever seen a monitor that can get this bright). It has fantastic response times for gaming and video. It is adjustable (tilt/rise/lower - you can even make this thing rotate for viewing) and is aesthetically pleasing with a black and silver base/monitor that is very easy to fit on most desks and/or spaces. I've been looking a long time for a good wide screen LCD monitor and researched the competition pretty well. When considering specs and beauty, this is the most bang for your buck that you will ever get (@ $245 special). Merry Christmas to myself! ;)

I have had nothing but problems with this computer ever since I got it. I am a photographer, and had assumed that with Apple's "reputation" and the ridiculous price of their products, they would produce a quality computer. WRONG. Since the beginning, it has shut down on my randomly, and it doesn't matter how long I have used it, had it on, which applications are being utilized, how many, etc. There is absolutely no method to the madness. Instead of taking it right back to the store like I should have done, I tried to call Apple Support since I had popped the $250 for it and figured I should use it. Every time I called them (after multiple shut downs), they would give me a different "fix," as if there wasn't a single standard procedure, and every operator had to wing it on their own experience. After multiple calls, they sent me over to an Apple store, where I spent 4 hours while the tech studied my computer inside and out. After testing the hardware, he said there was nothing wrong

I ordered this to view in my temporary apt and later to use with my computer as it is also a large computer monitor.
The clarity is good. Poor planning for the on off button on the front as you have to push on the case to turn it on or off. Easier to use the remote. This is not a large TV. Plan to sit close if you want to be part of the action.
I don't have a very high opinion of Samsung from the past but am giving them a try again. I have not been disapointed so far. I gave it 4s instead of 5s due to the on off button and the lack of enough inputs for me. It has 2 HDMI, one component, one RCA.

The new 9800 is basically the old 8800 with the added DDR3 ram with 1GB. This card is a little cheaper then the old 8800's so it worth the price. Just keep in mind this card takes up two slots. The larger card allows for more air flow and cooling. It still plugs in one PCI express slot which is the same as the smaller cards. This card uses Direct X 10 and I found this card to operate smoothing in many new games such as warhammer, COD4 and Fallout 3.
For the price you probably can't beat this card. If you want one that processes faster then this, your going to probably spend $300-$400.

So I got this a week ago and have been using it. Primarily as a computer monitor, secondarily for video games, and then TV/whatever as tertiary uses.
All in all, the picture is fantastic. It's big and bright, and mine came with zero defects.
The built-in speakers are very tinny at low volume. Strangely, when I crank the volume high, there's no distortion, and it sounds a lot better.
It suffers some viewing angle color shifts like most inexpensive LCD monitors, but they're only noticeable on the primary color tests. This site has the tests, and they're basically just pictures with explanations about what you should and shouldn't see.
http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/
Even with an analog VGA connection to my notebook, using the skinny VGA cable that came in the box, 1920x1200 is sharp-looking down to the pixel. Playing video games on an XBOX 360 at 1080i resolution through the analog connections, I have not noticed any ghosting or other artifacts. 1080i mode is full-screen, not letterboxed,

8.5 out of 10 for overall very good monitor producing stunning colors with an elegant exterior minus a few "slightly" annoying perks. highly recommended.

This monitor is a real "plug and play", it comes with the stand attached and built in speakers, it took a couple of minutes to set it up and connect to the cable box. Picture quality is really good for the price, I've tried the HDMI, Composite Video In, and Component Video; all produced very good brilliant, ultra bright and vivid picture in various room lighting conditions. It was also awesome connected to computer; however, you need to be at least three feet away for good viewing. I suspect picture will be much better using Blue Ray signal, which I did not try. I've seen better pictures on some other much more pricy sets, however, the difference in price, in my opinion, is not justified. The main thing is the black is not very black, but is ok. All other colors are very good and can be adjusted to suit individual taste.
The sound quality is also good and plenty loud. It has only one HDMI, to connect more sources you will need an external HDMI switch. The unit has auto source detection,

I am a very satisfied customer. I purchased the Samsung t260HD on Thursday of last week and had it delivered the next day with next day shipping. I must say that i'm not very easily impressed and i expect quality (functionality and style). For $500 i was expecting to have something that is worth the price and will do exactly what it is suppose to do.
Upon receiving this product i was blown away by the beauty of it when i opened the box and finished unwrapping everything. The entire monitor/tv is beautifully made and the face is absolutely astounding. The bezel is made out of glass and the touch of color is blended in perfectly. I am a college student. The monitor function is perfect. 1920 x 1200 looks great. For those wondering about the use with apple computers, you have nothing to worry about. I have a 15.5" macbook pro and setting up the monitor was easy. It is plug and play, as stated. The drivers automatically install and you can use the full features. When plugged in to my DVI connection

I have had this item for 2 weeks now We use "over the air" antennae and have since 1991. We compare paid vs "OTA" and "OTA" still wins for us.
The reception is superb. I get a few more channels than on our 42", 1080P Sharp, which I also love. The sound is very good and the remote is user friendly and easy to set up. We have it over our refrigerator and the picture is like a negative standing underneath, but I have an articulating arm on order which should solve this problem. (1 week later - after attempting to install my mounting arm I re-read the previous review to see what they wrote about no mounting holes. Bummer. I wouldn't let it stop me from this purchase though, unless this is an absolute requirement).
I got it for $300 and have not seen a better deal anywhere before and since. I am now looking for a 32" for our bedroom.
I would recommend this unit to anyone.

These are my thoughts on this Samsung HDTV / Monitor (25.5 in not 26 as Amazon states) . I read literally dozens of reviews and spent many hours checking stats etc on one type and brand vs another. I chose this monitor based on several factors. I don't have a dedicated media room, so I wanted a tv that would fit in my entertainment center in the front room. I would have liked to have the 32 in model but it wouldn't fit. This was the largest that would fit of the major brands. It is also the only one that was 1080p not 720p. This is important to me for playing Blu Ray discs. We went to the local Sam's, Best Buy etc and checked out many tvs and agreed that the samsungs just looked stellar. Now on to address the strong points and the bad.
The good-----
1. I really like the look of the tv. It is very slick without being garish. I think some of the Sony's can be over the top with the big clear bezel around the tv. This just looks good.

Be careful! Why? Well... you may not be able to play older games with this card haha.
Really though, I was playing Painkiller Black Edition and upgraded to this card (from two 2600 crossfired cards) and now I can't play the game because all the monsters are wicked fast lol.
Other things to know:
The card is hot hot hot. I thought that was just the x2 version with two gpu's but the single version seems to run at about the same temp - around 70c wow!
The card is huge in length. I have a mid tower (brand new Cooler Master 690 No P/s) and it fit with very little room to spare. If your case is on the smallish side you may want to take measurements and look at what power connections, ide or sata connections, or power cables might be in the way.
This card requires two power connections.
You really will need good air flow in your case or water cooling with this card. The ambient temps in my case (according to Everest Ultimate) runs around 32c. My old case ran about 10 degrees hotter

Up until now, I've been gaming on an eMachine 19 inch LCD monitor, which I've been using for over 2 years. And to be honest, it's been a faithful little monitor with no dead pixels all this time.
However, I got tired of the 1440 x 900 resolution, which required scrolling down a lot to view web pages.
So, I bought the Samsung T240, which boasts a 1920 x 1200 resolution on a comparitively monstrous 24" screen. Oh my, what a difference! I've been missing out on a lot.
But, if you do a lot of 3D gaming, beware that the T240, running in its native resolution, will require a beast of a video card to light up all those pixels at a decent framerate with all the game's bells and whistles on. I'm running an Intel Core2 Quad 6600 and a 9800GTX, and even with that nice system, I had to turn off the DirectX 10 setting in "Stalker: Clear Sky". The T240 has a total of nearly twice as many pixels as the typical 19" monitor, so it will require twice the video card power to get the same performance as

Bought the T260HD LCD HDTV for my son in September....it worked for about a week, then stopped. Monitor went dark and now flashes white every minute or so....only way to turn it off is to pull out the plug. Have been spending the last few weeks with Samsung trying to get a refund....very frustrating!

Received this last week and so far couldn't be happier.
I'm using this as a HDTV only hooked up by HDMI to my cable box.
Great hi def picture and pretty good sound.
SD pictures are not as good but plenty watchable.
I have it sitting on my desk next to my Dell 2407 (1920 by 1200) computer monitor and from about 3 feet, the TOC is the perfect size and the HD picture looks great.
As someone reviewing the 22 in. TOC said, it is a 16:10 screen so you get about .6 in. of black screen on the top and bottom when viewing a 16:9 hdmi input, but it doesn't bother me.
Someone also said that not filling the screen will cause burn-in.
I have hundreds of hours playing games on my 24 in. 1080p LCD with an un-filled screen and have not had a problem, so I'm not worried.
Some shows on my cable fill the screen so it's not as if that part of the screen is always black.
Oh yeah, 3 year warranty for monitors instead of 1 yr for TVs
As usual, fast, free shipping (super saver- 7 days for me) and good service

I have this Momitor/HDTV wired to my OTA. All the local digital signals come in great. If I had one complaint, the Monitor does not come with mounting holes on the back to use a under cabinet or wall mount.

When I was looking for a 24 inch monitor to work with my laptop and expand my desktop working area, I decided to purchase a Samsung 2493HM. I was basically attracted by the low prices and Samsung's stellar reputation on LCDs (I own two Samsung LCD TVs and I was extremely satisfied with both). What I did not know was the nightmare that it would come after this purchase. First of all, the monitor has all the menu buttons and color problems that have been well documented in other reviews. But as I will explain shortly, this was the least of my concerns. I give this monitor zero stars!! The moment I set up this thing and turned it on, my eyes started getting red and my head started to hurt as if I had someone drilling a hole in it. After only 5 minutes, not only I was in deep pain, but I also started feeling nausea, like I was about to throw up.
I then started to do some research online to see if I could find the reason behind this problem. Meanwhile, I returned this monitor and tried other

At this price point (~$200) Radeon HD 4850 is a winner. There are a lot of reviews out there, so just google it if you are interested.
The general problem with these cards is that they are noisy and get very hot. This particular card fortunately does not have such issues thanks to a superior cooling. It wasn't too loud to begin with and after I adjusted fans to run at 30% it became very quiet. It gets 40°C at idle and ~55°C under load.

If you're reading this, I'll assume you already know about the 4850 and that it effortlessly dominates almost any game or application you throw at it. What you may not know is that this particular model has a very obviously different fan and heatsink. The bad news? It is MASSIVE. It effectively makes the 4850 a 2-slot card, so if you don't have the room, stick with another model. The good news? The 4850 and 4870s are notorious for having heat "issues" (not real problems, but somewhat worrisome) with the stock fan/heatsink. This monster completely eliminates the problem without having to use the "fan-fix" or use an application like RivaTuner to control the fan yourself. It idles at 56 degrees and at full load the highest I've seen it get to is 74. These are very acceptable numbers, especially when you consider the stock model's temps of roughly 80 degrees idle and over 90 at full load.
Due in part to the fan/heatsink, this card seems to overclock with little complaint. I run mine at 710mhz

I have been tracking this product and t220hd, t240hd for a while. The $30 Samsung rebate has been around for a while before Amazon reduce price for T260hd. But consider tax (8.25% for us in texas) in local stores (plus $520-$540 product price), or $25 shipping charged by the only potential candidate seller newegg, Amazon is still the first choice I would make. And then comes the price drop, which is amazing to me because i list the three models in my wishlist for easy comparison of their prices, and i find out t240hd and t260hd are both listed for the same price.
So I bite the deal and add 3.99 for one day shipping, it just came this morning. The product simply blow my mind off, especially when i hook up with my xbox 360.
