Logitech LX3 Optical Mouse

It does what it's supposed to do. That's all I wanted. My main concern was to replace my Mighty Moue, which had horizontal scrolling. I love Apple computers, but the Mighty Mouse has a problem. The scrolling mechanism gets dirty and stops working. it can be cleaned, but eventually, may stop working, regardless. The Logitech is the answer. it was a relief going back to the more familiar scroll wheel. Gently push it sideways for horizontal scrolling. The only thing missing is the expose side buttons, but I don't mind hitting F9 instead - an insignificant trade-off for a superior product. Thanks, Logitech, for the best mouse I've ever used!

LX7 PS2 USB WIRELESS DARK WRLSSILVER OPTICAL WHEEL MOUSE PC-LX7 PS2 USB WIRELESS DARK WRLSSILVER OPTICAL WHEEL MOUS

I had this mouse for 1.5 years and absolutely loved it: it was perfect in my hand, the signal was constant, it was very precise and the batteries lasted forever. However, after many months the left button began to fail, becoming harder and harder to click -- something that bothered me especially when double-clicking. Probably the spring or some other moving part went bad; I read in another mouse review that these things happen, that mice only last so much. But it got so bad that I gave up on it. I then bought a Logitech MX610. Another great mouse but it feels bulkier in my hand, not as comfortable. Interestingly enough, I called Logitech here in Brazil the other day (I was looking for a wireless keyboard) and mentioned the LX7's problem. The guy told me that if I sent him the receipt, Logitech would replace it, since it has a 5-year warranty. Unfortunately, after such a long time I couldn't locate the document, but I'll probably be getting a new LX7 and keeping the receipt in a safe place!

After reading all these reviews I wonder why somebody doesn't come up with a new product where one could make a mold of our hand and a custom mouse that fits an individual, or one that comes in sizes, length and width like shoes. I just had a mold made for my bite for a new tooth that fits me perfectly. Why not a mouse that fits like an old pair of shoes? Features are secondary to comfort for me. But back to very limited income budget outlay...

This mouse, my third replacement in 3 weeks, was made for me. I have small narrow lady's hands with long piano fingers and nails, so width and length is just right. I spend way too much time on my pc I know, but disabled, age 70, not much else to do laying here but become a shameless gamer. My long loved small cordless Gyration (gone thru 2) quit holding a charge more than 2 hours, conking out on timed games argg, recharging the other battery pack like an addict needing my fix, battery recharger always cooking something. Cordless and games don't

I was immediately disappointed when I began to use the mouse. It is certainly stylish, well-crafted and engineered. But the click was loud, heavy, and sluggish - possibly owing to the fact that the left and right buttons are made of one continuous sheet of plastic, bent and split in the middle so as to provide separate contacts around the wheel. What's more, the height of the click panels is more than I was accustomed to. I began to develop a small ache after several minutes.

All of this may be a simple matter of personal preference. But subtle and quiet this mouse is not. The included software is helpful if you want to customize which function goes where - I did not. A nifty ps/2 - usb adapter was an added bonus.

I've been looking for a comfortable, affordable ergonomic mouse--fitting for a woman's hands--for more than six months, and landed this beauty last week. It's fabulous.

The mouse has an instant plug and play response on my Linux machine; it works as a UBS plug-in, or via an add-on (traditional) green serial-port adapter. It's a highly sensitive, and does not require much hand movement, or pressure, to respond. The cord is longer than usual, too, allowing adequate length to reach behind one's desk and keep the wires out of sight.

For Windows users, there is a program disk. For Linux users, no extra drivers or programs are necessary. Just plug it in, and go.

I'm delighted with this item, also, thanks to its reasonable price. Too many other ergonomic mice were an instant turn-off due to their excessive price. Having a safe, comfortable mouse should not cost the earth. It should be affordable for everyone--an equal opportunity affair--and this one fits that bill, too. Great, all the way

and your suppose to use 2 (AA) batteries for it to work.. but it some how manages to be able to run on only 1!!! I have no idea why. and it works perfectly too. never had any trouble with it at all.

Pros: Comfortable for either hand, Side-scrolling, Wheel actually clicks, Fairly nice visual appeal
Cons: Software installs unnecessary components even if one selects drivers for "Mouse Only"

This is actually a very good mouse for the price. Although it's not the cheapest mouse available, it is a solid-feeling mouse with very good comfort. The mouse is only 3 buttons, but please note that the side scroll (used by moving the wheel to the left or right) may be assigned macros or tasks (e.g. double click).

There are less expensive, yet still sturdy Microsoft models, but many of these I have a problem with the "smooth scroll" of the wheel. The clicks give a familiar feel, while the wheel is neither too firm, nor is it too loose. The amount of pressure required for left or right-clicks is perfect as well, with only a slightly more than modest noise level. I myself have fairly large hands, and it fits very comfortably, yet I can safely

LX7 PS2 USB WIRELESS DARK WRLSSILVER OPTICAL WHEEL MOUSE PC-LX7 PS2 USB WIRELESS DARK WRLSSILVER OPTICAL WHEEL MOUS

I was very pleased with this mouse at first. For the price, it seems like an amazing deal. I like the elegant and comfortable design, the useful number of customizable buttons, and the invisible optics (no more red lights shining out from under my mouse). As I would expect from Logitech, the motion of the mouse is smooth and precise. The left/right part of the four-way scrolling doesn't seem to work nicely or in very many applications, but I don't really care too much about it.

However, one thing really gets me: the time it takes the mouse to wake up. After several seconds of inactivity, the mouse goes to sleep in order to conserve battery power, then turns back on when it's moved. The time it takes to wake up, which is probably about 1/10 to 1/5 of a second, so has come to bother me a lot. That may not seem like much, but I use my mouse off and on, and it's pretty irritating when my cursor doesn't move right when I want it to.

If it weren't for that issue, I'd be extremely satisfied

So far this has been the best mouse that I've ever owned. It is just for home use, but I love not having yet another cord to get tangled. Battery life is pretty good compared to other wireless peripherals that I've used. The weight is perfect - not too heavy, yet not so light that I accidentally knock it off my desk. The color choice is a nice option as well. I've never been a fan of Microsoft products in general (I prefer Logitech) but for some reason I really do prefer this particular mouse despite the brand. Overall, I definitely recommend this mouse.
