Sanyo Xacti 8MP Digital Camcorder with 2.5" LCD Monitor - Blue
Where has this been all my life???

I think of all the cool trips I've been on and I would've killed to have one of these at that time. I didn't even know such a thing existed until I found this. Who knew that these were being made for average everyday consumers and at an affordable price?

Got water? No problema! This camcorder can handle the water and anything else you can throw at it. In an effort to give the most precise review possible, I did don my wetsuit and dove into my 60 degree pool. Brrrr. I even dropped this camcorder to the bottom of the pool a couple of times and when I played back the recording, no skips or anything and no problems with the camera. This gadget is wicked cool! The battery did poop out on me a little quick, but that could be from the cold water. I recommend getting an additional battery, but I do that will all my gizmos. Nothing more frustrating than having the battery loss at a critical moment in filming.

Did I mention that this takes still

Panasonic Lumix 9.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black
I'm not one to write a lot of product reviews, but this one compels me to do so. I've been using digital cameras for a long time, and in the past have stuck with another brand (which I won't name because I don't want to convey that they're inferior - they're also very good, just not like this one, and may well be ideal for someone else). I got the DMC-TZ5 last month, shot a few images around campus, then took it off to San Francisco for a week.

To put it simply, I am blown away by the handling and image quality. You can read elsewhere about the outstanding Leica lens, the good build quality and materials, and I haven't taken it apart or put it on the test bench so I won't add to that discussion. But I'm a pretty demanding photographer, and this camera makes me very happy.

I took street grab shots all over the city and found the camera very responsive. The LCD worked fine for me in all lighting conditions, and I found it quite easy to compose and shoot. The most needed controls are easily

Sanyo Xacti 8MP Digital Camcorder with 2.5" LCD Monitor - Blue
I love toys, so I was very happy when my new VPC-E2 arrived yesterday. The first thing I noticed when holding the E2, is how well it fits in your hand. It's lightweight, and the simple controls are very well laid out. After skimming through manual, and charging the battery, I loaded it up with an 8GB SD card. I then went out to see what it can do. First off was taking still photos in various lighting conditions. Then I took several different videos. The VPC-E2 is very simple to use, and I didn't need to refer back to the manual for anything. After putting it through various tests, I discovered what is my first minor disappointment. Batterty life isn't great. If you plan on using it for a good part of the day, a second battery is going to be a must. All the pictures and videos looked good on the E2's screen, but the real test was when I got home and downloaded them to my computer. The still photos were very good. I was especially surprised how well the photos taken in low light at ISO 800

Sanyo Xacti 8MP Digital Camcorder with 2.5" LCD Monitor - Blue
Before I start, let me mention that I am a professional photographer and I teach photography for our local college. When I look at a new camera, that background plays a role. You may be looking for something completely different in a camera than I am.

My first impression of the Sanyo Xacti VCP E2 was all about its size. It slips right into my shirt pocket. Once I got over the size (and got the battery charged up) I was ready to go. Oh, and install a memory card. The E2 takes the popular SD cards, and it does not come with one. That's probably not a bad thing. Most people who have had a camera or two have a few of these cards lying around. If you don't, get one with the camera. I installed an 8gig card.

I was first trying to hold the camera in one hand. That didn't work very well for me. Your hands may vary. The best hold for me turned out to be with the camera in my right hand, and my left thumb and index finger on the top and bottom of the LCD, which steadies things nicely.

Panasonic Lumix 9.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black
Takes great pictures with lots of options. Nice and small it fits in a shirt pocket with ease even a pocket tee shirt. Dont know what kind of pockets other reviewers have that they say it wont fit in? Takes good movies even in low light. Feels very sturdy and yes the lens cover is very fragile but works fine. I bought the blue case that is made for the camera and it protects the camera fine. If you are thinking about buying this camera you wont be dissapointed unless you are a total nit picker like some!

Panasonic Lumix 9.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black
The Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ5 with 10X optical zoom was purchased in May 2008 from Amazon to replace my outdated 6 year old 4.1 Megapixel Canon Elph. This review is based upon 6 MONTHS of use.

I wanted more than the 3X from conventional compact digital cameras. After traveling to places such as India, Portugal, and Cancun, for example, 3X is not versatile enough to capture some of the landscapes, landmarks and distant subjects that I wanted to capture.

To be honest, resolution was not a factor in purchasing a camera but with 9.1 Megapixels, this camera was more than adequate for my purposes since I only print 4x6" photographs.

OPERATION:

This camera is great as a point and shoot camera. Shutter lag is reasonable for a camera of this class, unlike others I experimented with before buying this one.

FEATURES

Battery life indicator: You may take this feature for granted but my prior camera (Canon Digital Elph), did not have a battery life indicator. When traveling, battery life is

Casio EX-Z1080BE 10.1 MP Blue Digital Camera-.
Bought this camera after wife divorced and took our other one. Excellent price and great picture. Pulled up the pictures on the 42' plasma TV and the pictures are clear as can be. Takes a little while to work through all the functions, but when you learn how to use everything, it is great.

Kodak M763 Red Easyshare Digital Camera (Refurbished)-Red
I always look for the best deals and this camera is the best ever. My daughter had a couple kodak digital cameras and even after dropping and breaking the ones she owned they continued to work until she lost them. That's why I decided to buy a Kodak for myself. Bought this one at discount as refurbished but when I received it looks new to me and it operates like a camera that cost hundreds. I enjoy the large viewing screen and I'm pleased with the charger it came with. Movies with sound and great stills. This is a lot more camera for the money spent than I ever expected. Thanks Overstock My wife no longer complains about our digital pictures and she can now easily take pictures herself.

Casio EX-Z1080BE 10.1 MP Blue Digital Camera-.
If you want a small camera that you can fit in your pocket or purse and take good quality images without paying a lot this is perfect for you. I had the 6.2 mp version a long time ago and it worked perfectly for 2 years untill the shutter wouldn't open (other people I knew had the same problem). I then swithced to the Sony from the Aerosmith comercial, which I loved for the lense and features and would reccomend if you are looking to pay more. Then it came out of my pocket on a rollercoaster and that was that - so for not wanting to pay a lot for another camera, I knew this would do the deal.

3D MO-16S Optical Wireless Mouse-Blue
I'd recommend this to everyone. Really easy to use.! No battaries needed if you plug it into your computer or you can get batteries and have it wireless. I got it in Red and Black. Both are great. No installation. Just plug and go. Just a warning that it's small so good for laptops, but if you have big hands, you might want to get a normal size mouse. You'll be happy to bought this.

Nikon Coolpix 8.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Plum
This camera does a great job if you let it. Meaning just put it in automatic and select the stabalization to auto and let it go. The first pictures we took were using different settings and they did not turn out too good.
Once we put everything in auto it worked out great! We even blew up a shot on the beach to an 8 by 10 and the detail was perfect!

Sanyo VPC-E1W - Xacti E1 6.0 Megapixel Waterproof Digital Camcorder - White
I had this item in my Cart when it was $350. The price dropped to $250 and I made my purchase right away. Then I found out that there is a new kid in town, the SANYO XACTI E2 which cost just another $100. The same price of E1 just days before.

For $100 more I learned that you get :

8 megapixel (new E2) vs 6 megapixel (E1)
60frames per sec recording (new E2) vs 30frames per sec recording (E1)
Face detection technology that suggests improvements in the focus.
fast 5frames per sec photo shots (to capture fast action)
New underwater white balance mode.

Everything else such as the waterproof casing is the same. I wanted to know was it really worth it to exchange for the NEW E2 in case I might regret later. So I did a little research.

First off, when the sanyo E1 arrived, I was surprised with all the features it has. This isn't really a beginners camera (otherwise get the Flip ultra) If you do learn what these features do, you wont find it so bad and on the plus side you are in much greater

Nikon Coolpix 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black
This Nikon product looks cool but only from outside. The image quality is really poor for a 10MP resolution. My 4 MP Fuji takes way better pics.

Day and night mode are equally bad. I will not recommend this to anyone.

Olympus Stylus 10.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Blue
I have used Olympus cameras for about 15 years and have always been happy with them. Unfortunately, I have used this camera for six months and am getting a new one. There are several good things about this camera, but there is one huge flaw: poor image quality. I have been doing some research and discovered that the megapixels are the culprit. While the camera has 10MP, the image sensor was not made to accommodate 10MP's worth of detail. Because the image sensor is small, it produces grainy photos. You will get better quality images with a camera that has fewer megapixels and/or a larger image sensor.

Some things I DO like about this camera: 1. Good close-up/macro shots; 2. "Scene" settings, such as "Available Light;" 3. Image name includes the date the picture was taken; 4. Portability/size of camera; 5. You can take panoramic photos (if using xD card); 6.
