I would rate this product zero stars, but Amazon won't let me.
I shopped for a long, long time before deciding on an *.mp3 player. I did tons of research looking for the quality for the money. Above ALL else, I wanted a device that would be simple to use. I did not want an iPod because I did not want to have iTunes snake its tendrils through every facet of my computer; all I wanted was a drag and drop. No frills, no fuss.
The Sansa Fuze is NOT what I wanted. The instruction manual refers to several different ways of putting music onto the player, and not one of them -- including the drag and drop, and how do you screw that up? -- works with any degree of regularity. The Sansa software forces you to install Rhapsody on your computer, though it's a bid freaking mystery why; it seems impossible to use Rhapsody to put music on your player, and there aren't even instructions for it in the manual. Half the time you plug the thing in, nothing happens. I am computer savvy; I have never

I bought a pink 4GB Fuze for my best friend and a red 4 GB Sony Walkman (NWZ-S616) for myself. I opened them both up when I got home to charge them and try them both out.
What they both have in common:
-sound great
-similar in size (Fuze is maybe 1/4" wider)
-Both came with a few MP3s and a video already loaded on them.
-Both have an FM receiver that picked up all the local stations.
-Both (like most MP3 players) come with headphones and a USB cable for data transfer and charging.
-Both allow you to drag and drop files, or use Windows Media Player to add music, video, or pictures. Drag and drop worked well for MP3s on both players. I did not try using Media Player for either one.
I like the video quality on the Sony better. I like that the Sony has a longer battery life, though it does take longer to charge than the Fuze. I also like that the headphone jack on the Sony is on the top and that the volume control is a separate button on the side. The Fuze has the headphone jack on the

Just wanted to mention a few things the other reviewers didn't. This player supports the WMA format which iPOD does not. I have the 8GB unit and expanded it with a 4GB MicroSD card. After adding the Micro SD card, the unit took about 90 seconds to start up, and battery life was reduced from 3 hours to about 30 minutes! Overall, I love it as a MP3 player, but would recommend you go with a unit with 16GB built-in storage if you think you'll need that much room.

I have owned my View for a month and I love it even more than when I first got it. I will tell you about all the complications I have had, how I overcame them, and why this player rocks my world.
The View is small, like the nano and provides equally excellent sound, photo/video quality. It comes in 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32GB, but trumps the iPod with its memory expansion slot which allows you to add up to an additional 16GB of data for just the memory card's price. Be aware however that it only takes microSD chips, which for most people needs an adapter, but an 8GB card can be bought for $20 with an adapter, so it still isn't bad.
Upon receiving my sansa view, I knew instantly that it would be prone to scratches and fingerprints, especially since the screen and the player itself are one, so I recommend buying at least a screen protector. The material of the player is more similar to the first generation iPod nano, which doesn't feel as cheap as the new generations of iPod. The face of the

This tiny device does everything I would expect a flash drive to do. I used it as a bootable drive to install an OS, but, hey, that's just me. Of course you can use it for whatever you want, just like you'd think. I found the read/write time to be quite fast enough. I don't remember how long it took to transfer 600 mB of info, but I know it seemed really fast, much fast than transferring pictures from my camera to my computer. That is my only other file transfer through USB experience.
It is minuscule and I like the sleek form. It does lack the metal housing around the connector that are on most USB devices, so there is nothing to protect it if you lean on it. I can see why it would break if you're not careful, but I don't think that it's flimsy per se. It does have a hole for a key ring, but I wouldn't store it with my keys for its own protection.
It doesn't feel cheaply made, but I give it the same care I'd give any small piece of electronic hardware. If you need durable, you can buy

This is an awesome drive for the size. It is absolutely tiny and you get 4 gigs. My wife asked for a small flash drive with no cap and this one was the winner. She can put it on her key chain and not even worry about the size. The drive does have some drawbacks. It is slower than other fancy drives. Also, because it's just one piece of plastic, you can insert it into the USB slot backwards. They should have thought of this and made the connectors on BOTH sides, but they didn't so you have to be careful. Also, the LED light that shows the drive in operation is set on one side, so sometimes, if the front is facing you, you can't even see it. The small annoyances are far outweighed by the size and simplicity. It's sooo small, you have to work on not losing it. I got the blue one, just so I can find it easier. Great little flash drive.

I went through 3. Yep, and all three went on to have the "ticking/skipping" sound when I turned up the volume. It wasn't the earphones. It wasn't the format of the songs: it comes with sample songs on which I tested the volume. Then I look this little flaw up in google and one forum says that Sandisk is "working on it." Nice, well while they work on it this player is heading back to the store. Buy this with a warranty, just in case.

This is my 11 year old daughter's first mp3 player. She got it largely to play audible books, but she has discovered she likes to listen to music on it, too. The Fuze works well for both. She also likes to watch podcasts (National Geographic, Discovery, etc) and the screen is nice enough for young eyes. She finds the Fuze easy to use...I only had to show her how it works once. Given her age and prices, this was a good alternative to a nano.
The converter works well if you want to load iTunes files, although it can be a slow process. She wanted movies on it, too, but it was a pain to get movies in the right format. Battery life is better than I expected.
Overall, I'd say the Fuze does exactly what we hoped plus a bit more. She's had it for 3 months, has used it a fair amount and it's still working, which is a minor miracle, considering her tendency to leave things lying on the floor and walk on them...

We previously bought a Sansa c240 1GB MP3 player for our daughter and she outgrew that capacity. So I bought an 8GB microSDhc card, only to discover the c240 didn't support more than 2GB. So, we bought this 4GB Fuze in pink to replace the c240.
I'm thrilled. The card works, of course, for a 12GB capacity. The feel of the product is great. Feels like an iPod. Has the same sort of wheel interface. Doesn't have the "Cover Flow" selection screen, but that's a patented Apple interface. Screen is very bright and surprisingly easy to read.
Like all Sansa products, it came in the door with old firmware. I've learned my lesson here! Download the free Sansa Updater and let it check your product, even if it's BRAND NEW.
Connected to Windows Media Player and transferred her ripped CDs without a glitch, also connected to my Napster To Go account and had no trouble downloading and playing subscription music.
Sound quality is excellent, but the supplied ear buds have a very thin wire without any reinforcing.

This is my first MP3 player and I wasn't expecting it to be that great, since everyone seems to be in love with the Apple ipod mated with itunes software. Boy was I in for a surprise. Not only did this player fulfill my expectations, it made me a believer in SanDisk products.
Since I listen to the radio a lot, I really appreciate the built in radio; which by the way, works great. The only time you'll have a reduction in sound quality is when you are in an elevator, or in an underground parking lot. Otherwise, the sound is as good as a car radio when you are out in the open.
You won't be able to use itunes with this unit. You have to use Windows Media Player. WMP may seem a little confusing at first, so just make sure you have the latest version of the player, and you should be OK.
One reviewer complained about not being able to charge the player through his PC. SanDisk mentions that not all PC's will be able to charge the player when the computer is OFF; but it will always change with

This thing is amazing. Of all the USB drives I've ever owned, this one takes the cake. It's small, it's strong, and it's got an insane profile. This thing has no crevices for dirt and dust to get lodged in; it stays clean and functional, and has no moving parts you need to worry about. In fact, I actually keep this puppy in my wallet! I plug it in to my Mac and Linux machines, run a quick rsync script to update my encrypted files, and pop it back in my wallet for travel.
What's more, I'll be getting another one of a different color for a different (massive) set of software/development files I want available for travel.

After about 3 months things started going down hill really fast. After leaving it in the car on a summer day something went wrong with the with the power saver. I'd charge it over night and the next morning it would be dead. I'd listen to it for 5 minutes, turn it off, then turn it back on and it would be at half power. Recently the screen broke. That just gave me a good reason to get rid of it.
Trust me, keep looking.

This SanDisk Sansa View 8 GB Video MP3 Player is packed with features at a price that is far below what you would expect to pay for this level of features and quality. First the screen is the perfect size for portability, it is neither too big to be portable nor too small to make it hard to view. You can download and watch full length movies as well as most other videos and photos. Of course you can download a tremendous number of songs but, for those times when you don't want to bother with downloading new songs or simply want to listen to something different, you can also listen to the built in FM Radio with presets. This unit can also be used as a voice recorder great for meetings or classes. This unit feels substantial in your hands and features very easy to use controls. This is a feature packed powerhouse at a budget friendly price. If you are looking for the features of an iPod video but don't want to pay the high price then this is the player for you! I would not hesitate for one

After about 8 months of use of the 8gb Sansa View, I decided I should write a review of my experiences. I did quite a bit of research and choose the View over the Creative Zen. My requirements in the video mp3 were to be a minimum of 8gb, cost effective, and radio (which ruled out any ipod). The expansion slot was also a much needed bonus, which was crippled on the Zen (i.e. files on the expansion card were much more limited).
PROS:
Good screen quality that is large enough in my opinion to watch videos.
Micro SD/HC expansion slot is fully integrated with files on main memory.
Being able to drag and drop files onto player
Multiple video formats supported.
Menu and buttons are easy to use
Sound quality is good
FM Radio can automatically search and save local stations.
Good battery life and quick charging (~2 hours)
Good size in my opinion, not too big, not super small.
CONS:
Limited personalization of menu
Playlist can only be 500 files
Can be more tedious than nessary to sort through

Please do not buy this computer. I had this computer for two months and the screen is cracked internally. Dell said that I caused the damage and I would have to pay $400 to fix it. I work in social services and I don't have that kind of money. $400 is my rent for the month. I am now using my old Toshiba laptop that I have had for almost 6 years without any issues. I never taken it off my desk it has never dropped. This model in particular has the problem of internally cracked screens, just do some online searches and you will see this problem come up constantly. Stay away from this product.

I can't begin to describe how cool this laptop is. It is all you need for personal or business work. I have an Acer Desktop with 1 GB of RAM and 100 GB Memory. This little guy has 4 GB of RAM and an Intel Duo Core Processor (that's basically at least twice as fast as my desktop) and 250 GB on the hard drive! Those items are critical for good, fast performance. The keyboard is perfectly typical in its layout and the mouse pad is actually sleek and slightly indented, allowing you to seamlessly run your finger over the metal. The two button pads allow for more functions. It is completely intuitive and although I prefer Windows XP Home over Vista Home (XP is faster), you can't get around that nowadays. It comes preloaded with everything you need and I actually uninstalled some unnecessary programs. I took out the Norton Virus software and put in Windows Live One Care (my preference on quality and ease of use).

Ever since I started using digital cameras, I have been an avid Fuji devotee. When my last camera broke from being just dropped once, I knew I needed a durable camera, especially with a lens cover! This was has delivered from day one with crisp, clear, and vibrant pictures as well as a vast improvement of video quality!! I could not be happier. The only thing that was a bit of an adjustment for me was the size - it's so skinny, but that was a small thing to adapt to when there are so many other good things about it!!
