This is the first GPS unit I have ever owned, and for the most part, I love it. It's easy to enter in new addresses, save addresses for future reference, recall saved addresses, etc. One of the first things I did was go into preferences and change a few things, like the POI filter (I change this often depending on if I'm just trying to find a shorter way to get to point A or if I'm going out of town, etc.). There are A LOT of POIs to choose from. Another thing you may want to change is the volume of the speaker. I tend to listen to loud music so I have mine on the loudest, which people on my cell complain about, but it's not like there's a volume control on the outside of the unit that I can just turn down if I get a call.
I have a Bluetooth but hardly ever use it so that is one feature I can not speak on.
I like that the colors adjust automatically for night driving since I don't want any cops thinking I have a small TV in the front seat, which is illegal in CT.

Although i've only had this up and running for a few days, it is exactly what i was looking for. The price was perfect, and the 320 gigs were more than my desktop initially came with (200). Using it is a breeze, just basic drag and drop for transfers or save as for new files. Really quite a breeze. I can't say how it'll hold up long term, but so far so good!

I was a little concerned about the small size of the unit since I was used to a larger screen. However, it has not been a problem at all. It is very user friendly and gets the job done!

I have been using the Maestro 3250 for almost 5 months and think it is an excellent unit. It is not without it shortcomings but mostly works as it should.
The routing algorithm isn't perfect but most of the time does the job. My main issue is that when calculating the fastest route (as opposed to shortest route). I have noticed sometimes it thinks certain city streets are fastest than normal city street even if the distance change is pretty major. The re-route ability if I miss a turn works fine and the location tracking isn't always exact but close enough.
The Speech Recognition works great, when it works. I love the fact that while I am driving I can say "Magellan" then search for nearby restaurants or gas stations handfree. The only problem I have is occasionally the voice recongnition doesn't work, no matter how loud, soft, or clearly enunciated my speech.
Bluetooth works. I have a Motorola RAZR and it works, however I always get the error when pairing due to a failure

Not as good as my old Magellan. Constantly rerouting while driving. Difficult to get to turn on sometimes. Am not sure if I'm going to keep it or send it back. My old one never gave me a lick of trouble, just wanted to update. Wish I hadn't.

We purchased this unit for our son,who loved it. Then it started to 'freeze' up. We contacted customer service via e-mail...several days later they replied....told us to push the re-set button. No kidding! E-mailed back(the way you need to correspond with them is very annoying)told them that the re-set button does not fix the problem. They e-mailed back that we should send them our information and they would send us a return authorization #. We sent all the information to them....never heard from them again. 2 weeks went by...decided to call. Big mistake! Over an hour on the phone, being switched from 'department' to department...having to give the same information over and over again. (How many times can you spell your name!) Finally after an hour on the phone,I was given a Repair authorization #. That's right, they are going to repair the defective brand new unit, not replace it. I sincerely hope I never have to call customer service again.

I bought it for my daughter as a gift, and she LOVES it! It allows for audible communication between it and the driver, and it's so easy. I have one that's a different brand and is supposed to be the "top of the line," but her's is better! It also has bluetooth capability so there is no problem talking on the phone and paying attention to driving. We would both highly recommend this product.

I really like the AAA features that give me the names & phone numbers of places. I like the slim feature of it that it fits comfortly in pocket. I've use it on several occaions traveling & it was great. Got me right to where i had to be.

Purchase Magellan 3250 as an upgrade to my Garmin Streetpilot I5. Was very excited about taking it out of the box. I loved my Garmin and expected the Magellan to be 1000 times better and when I opened the box it was. It has touch screen, announces street names, bluetooth and voice commands.
Unfortunately the second i turned it on I was dissappointed. First I had to press the On button a few times before it goes on. Then when i went into the phone options part of the screen freezes. But besides the glitches the worse thing about it is the actual function of the device.
First issue, when I am at the intersection in the GPS it appears that I am still 30 feet away. So it is difficult to tell if I am suppose to turn here or a block away. Second issue, once you enter 1 location you can not enter a via point, you can't even search for another location without canceling your original destination first. Another annoying issue is that when you reach the turning point it just beeps instead

I bought this product to back up my hard drive before having to reformat it. The product works flawlessly and is a great value. I will probably buy another one for my other computers.

I was very apprehensive when I decided to purchase a GPS for my husband. He is very computer illerate. He can't save numbers in his cell phone; but he was able to use the Magellan very quickly. I believe if he can use it anyone can...!!!

I purchased this unit last night to replace my Garmin i3. The Garmin is a great little unit, but I was ready for a few more features.
To read up about the Garmin i3 (and i2/i5) check this site: http://reviews.cnet.com/car-gps-navigation/garmin-streetpilot-i3/4505-3430_7-31468216.html
Short version:
Magellan 3250 is a great GPS unit and the price from Amazon was far the best one that I could find. Also, I ordered it last night and Amazon/UPS had the unit on my doorstep 24 hours later (and I didn't pay for overnight)!
Long version:
Within 30 minutes of having the unit out of the box, I was able to take it on a 90 minute road trip and compare back-to-back with the Garmin. Below are a few of my findings:
Screen size: The 3.5" Magellan screen was a nice bonus when compared to the Garmin's 1.5" screen. I was happy with the Garmin display, so I am that much more happy with the Magellan.
Screen Zoom: While the Magellan was fine, the default zoom level on the Garmin provided just a bit more

I was a little concerned about buying this unit after hearing about horrible customer service and software glitches. Fortunately, I found the unit easy enough to understand that I did not have to call their customer service. I have road tested this unit for two weeks, and decided while the unit is not perfect, it has enough great features to make it worth keeping. I found the navigation capabilities to be excellent (it one instance I was routed to a street that did not exist, but the unit quickly redirected me... The unit has frozen up on a few occasions; however I am hoping that the company will eventually issue software updates/downloads that will correct this problem. The problem went away after I restarted the unit. Also, on a few occasions I had to hold the "on" button for more than a few seconds for the unit to start. The Points of interest database is very comprehensive (as good as Garmin)....it has POI's that do not exist on the Navigon or TomTom. Unit recalculates very quickly

This is a very good external Hard Drive for the money. It is fast and for the most part it is trouble free. The only "problem" I have had is that every so often it does not show up in "my computer." When that happens I just turn the power switch off and then back on and this forces windows to "see it" and it shows back up in "my computer." I have had to reformat my internal hard drives once since I got this external drive. It was a lifesaver because I had backed up all of my pictures and important files on the simpletech. I just used "Drag and Drop" to do my backups and restore also. Very Good external drive. Highly recommended.

I needed an external hard drive as my pathetic 80 gig hard drive I'd been using for the past 3 years was bursting at it's seams. So After looking around I saw this model on sale at Best Buy for $95.99, couldn't go wrong there, since it was 320 GIGS, it was a steel. Racing home, I pulled it out of the box, and lets get some things out of the way right now:
1. It has an on/off switch (yeah!)
2. The USB cable is really short. (About 2-3 feet)
3. It has a separate plug for the power supply. (Less drain on your USB).
After straining with the short USB cord, I found a good setup on my desktop. Plugged it into the USB port, and plugged the power cord into the wall. Turned it on, and BAM! 320 Gigs added to the computer. No hassle. It is quiet, and very fast.
I've only run into one small nuisance, it occasionally goes into sleep mode when not being used, and it takes about 6 seconds to start working again when waking up, so lets say it goes to sleep, and then you go to your computer, click on
