The purchase of the case logic notebook sleeve was worth every penny. This product is durable, water resistant, and works really well. I would definitely recommend it.

Targus TXL617 17" XL Notebook Backpack
Having 3 high school boys who carry hundreds of pounds of books & laptops, this is the ONLY backpack in the market that is able to hold everything they need in a day (laptop, 3 binders, 3 textbooks, a waterbottle & more)! With all the weight and trauma this backpack receives on a daily basis, it holds up remarkably well. The zippers have never come apart, but there have been some tears near the shoulder straps due to the weight. This isn't a problem, though, because Targus happily and quickly replaced it at no cost to me. I've only had to have one replaced and one is now at college after 3 years in high school. I only wish there were some other colors to choose from as it gets confusing in the mornings having 3 of the same backpacks to get to the right kid!

Got this backpack a few months ago to hold my 17" widescreen laptop. Where most cases are either too small or just barely close with my computer, this one holds it with plenty of clearance to spare.I

Toshiba Satellite L355-S7817 Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2390 1.86GHz Notebook

This is a good laptop but don't expect it to brake any speed records. It'g good for general every day use, and light game play. It uses the Pentium 4 Dual Core which is a older technology. The laptop comes with lots of trialware/bloatware. I took mine to OfficeDepot and had them remove the junk and put a year copy of McAfee on my system. If you are buying it for your kid for school this is a good one but they will not really be able to play high end games.

17" screen its big and bright
almost a full size keyboard with keypad
it's quiet - I have other laptops and the fan can get quite noisy
battery life is good I have gotten around 3 hours that is with my screen dim and not using the CD/DVD drive. watching a movie I got a little over a hour.
light - some of my 15.4" laptop is much heavier then this one
160 Gb Hard Drive - more then enough for the average user

Dislikes:
sound the built in speakers are under powered and the volume is low
no HDMI or other HD outputs on it

This is my first laptop after using desktops for years. I did my research and was hesitant to purchase one without any reviews about it. My husband is a Toshiba fan and has had many laptops and gave this one a thumbs up. I believe he is on the money.

Pros:
- 17" screen - great if you're going back and forth from laptop to desktop or other larger montitor; very crisp, colorful, high quality screen.
- full size number keypad on right. As a business owner who does all her own office work, the keypad is something I couldn't live without when using as a laptop; however if connecting to a full size keyboard when not mobile, may not be an issue for you
- efficient, quick machine; looks good too; feels high quality, not cheap like some.
- One year free Toshiba tech support with purchase

Cons:
-size may be an issue for the constantly mobile person. Also, it weighs a little more than smaller laptops - about 10 lbs. total.
-not for the gamer - not enough RAM and storage for serious gamers;

I bought this bag a month ago. I intended to use it for extensive travel. I am disappointed to say that the interior is already ripping apart. I will be replacing this bag as soon as possible.

Honestly, I didn't even know these things existed! I was visiting my son and noticed my daughter-in-law using one of these and immediately logged on to Amazon and ordered one for myself! I got it today and I've been using it all day long. For once my lap is not getting uncomfortably warm from hosting my laptop or sweaty from the blanket I usually have to rest it on to keep from getting burned. Plus the stablity is fantastic and it's easy to position it well even when using my laptop in my recliner. The bottom of my laptop is not nearly as hot as it usually is so I have to conclude that this thing actually does absorb and disperse the heat. This product has made me a very happy camper, considering how much time I spend with a laptop actually in my lap!

SWISSGEAR IBEX 17 NOTEBOOK BACKPACK

This back pack is very good. Well made, sturdy for carrying all the weight. The two items missing that keep this from being a 5 star review are: no waist strap, With all this wieght in the pack this would help alot. 2nd is no rain flaps on the zippers. I am in Seattle and I am concerned over rain getting into the bag on the long daily commute.

17.5 inch laptop (10lbs) 4lb power brick. plus lunch, note book, paper work, coffee thermos, Oracle manual, Reading book. Yep, alot fits in this while staying compact.

Best price I found. The backpack has plenty of room for my 17" wide screen laptop. I mainly use it to take my laptop to and from work. However, for a recent trip our family went onI, had 2 laptops, a digital SLR camera with a spare telephoto lens, a small digital camera, an ipod, electric razor, all charging cords and accessories for the above items, 3 baseball mitts, a softball, and there was still room left over. It also fit into the overhead compartment on the airplane. It has held up well. I will probably buy one for my son when he goes to college next year.

Got this bag just recently!
Durable, lots of room and my 17" wide screen laptop slides right in quite comfortably. The shock absorber feature with the straps are quite effective too.
Love this bag. I Have no regrets spending my hard-earned cash on this one.

This bag was nice right when I got it. Unfortunately a few months after using it, it began to have some issues. It no longer stands if it has a laptop in it, it just flops over. I have tried re-arranging the insides a little, but still to no luck. The overall build quality of the bag is nice, but i don't have much use for any of the other pockets. I probably should have gotten a smaller laptop, but it fits my 17" HP DV9000 very well! Overall, it is a great bag, but due to it falling over a lot I don't think it deserves a 5 star rating.

Toshiba Satellite P205D-S8806 17-inch Laptop (AMD Turion 64 X 2 Dual Core TL-64 Processor, 2 GB RAM, 200 GB Hard Drive, Vista Premium) Onyx Blue

Very fuctional and sturdy. I have bought 3 laptops this year and most of them have the worst keyboards imaginable. All things being equal nothing compares to a MAC but not all the programs are available or if they are they are expensive. That being said, if you are stuck with VISTA and all the annoyances, this is a great laptop for the price. Nothing stands out except it is sturdier than the comparable DeLL and HP models.

I have trouble with laptops that are not sturdy and this one has a great metal keyboard, not the plastic like HP and dell that fade and fall off. It really makes me sick that they sell these cheapo keyboards however I have to give Toshiba credit for keyboard and that is a big deal to me. Otherwise, it is pretty much standard fair - when you are stuck with Microsoft, not much else that can be done.

As a person who sells on Ebay for a living and living in pricey Northern California, being able to read what you are typing is a real plus. Even if I could put another keyboard
