It is probably not necessary to add my comments to the plethora of other negative reviews but I am surprised nay shocked that after so many that they still sell them? I have purhcased cheap electronics without hesistation prior to this one but this one takes the cake, pudding and the pie. Worked once and then only after several days of similar attempts did it work again. I had tried a home burnt disk and thought it was the cause but then when I tried several other store bought disks I found that the beloved Toshiba SD 4100 was the culprit. Anyone need a paper weight>>???

I agree with you in almost everything: great computer but I am missing the firewire port (and what's the purpose of a modem today?). The only note I want to make is about your comment on the buttons to adjust the volume. While I agree on the poor readability of the function keys, note that the volume keys are also present as touch keys above the keyboard. At the beginning I thought these were just led lights, as those on the left side, but after removing the protective plastic sheet (still on place in the Best Buy display model when I checked it out) I found out that they are actually touch sensitive buttons. From left to right: P (programmable key for any application you like), Backup, Wi-Fi, TouchPad, Mute, Volume down, Volume up. I am sure you found it out already, but I am posting for those who are deciding if buying it or not. I love it so far!

I was very pleased with this product until the sound and picture started cycling on and off. I was told by Sony it needed a software update and I responded by asking them if it was defective and they said no that it was just a glitch--lol, what's the difference. They suggested a download fix, the repairman suggested a new circuit board was in order. I have the extended warranty and I think a new circuit board is just what the "doctor" ordered also, after all it's only a "glitch".

Same thing happened to me. Try to reset the Player and upgrade the FIRMWARE. Here is the link to reset samsung players. So far so good, it's up and running again.

It went back 3 times. I got a call this morning: LG offered to refund my money. I accepted.
I really do not know where/what the problem was. It could be the TV - an LG 32LH40. Heck, it could be the cable, although I sent that back so they could try it. But they apparently wanted to cut their losses and I accepted their offer. The alternative was a new system and if I had problems with that I'd have to go through the 3-returns process again. I decided "no."
I think it's a nice Blu-Ray player, except for the HDMI problem I experienced. If you get one and enjoy it, good.

pshanks, we're very sorry for the confusion. This was a bug on our end that resulted in the data not being updated for this particular store. Thanks for catching it! If it's any consolation the price was accurate at one point and it may fall back down there again.

The Crutchfield price was listed as $129.99 at 11:15 PM PST 06/27/2009. This is the lowest price by far. Eagerly clicked the link only to find that the Crutchfield price is actually $189.99, which is far above even the average price. What gives?

I sent it to LG, they sent it back, noting that it worked with their LG TV. The problem, however, was and is that it doesn't work with my LG TV. So I called again, making sure this time to select LCD product as that for which I wanted support.
Spent 1 hour 25 minutes on the phone. Result: I am to send the BD370 back to them.
Will it work when it comes back in a week or so? Good question...

Panasonic SDR-S7 Flash Memory Camcorder with 10x Optical Zoom (Black)

Average camera. Bought this to replace the Oly S5 camera which I used for video shoot occasionally. To have the same video quality, I had to set the SDR-S7 to XP Mode and 4:3. Any other setting lowers the quality below par to the Oly S5 which is more of a digital still camera.
For me, the 16:9 is useless. Problem with compatibility with editing software etc. Further, degrade the video quality.
But I do love the small size and the camera being able to stored in my pocket. I'll probably used it a year or so before handing this gadget to my kids for their youtube exploit.

HP IQ504 TouchSmart PC (2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 Processor, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB Hard Drive, DVD Drive, Vista Premium)

Well I have had mixed results. The 1st IQ506 I got was crap. I had system recoveries and OS lock ups continuously. I also lost the touchscreen completely and the Keyboard LED light was intermittent. I called HP they swore the PC was bulletproof. Well after working with the techs at HP I finally said enough and exchanged the PC. The nmew one appears to be working fine, time will tell. I did see the DVD comments and will be checking that immediately. WHile I feel there are some serious QUALITY issues with all HP products (I also got a lemon laptop from them) I do think this PC is a very nice and unique layout. I would hope that for the $1500+ per unit HP will put some serious minds behind correcting and flaws. After working On PC hardware now for years both in the build and repair areas I felt the PC problem APPEARED (my opinion) to be a power related issue. The faulty one I had appeared to be having intermittent failures throughout the system. In my experience this is usually power supply related. I cannot confirm this as I am not paid to fix HP's PCs for them ;) I would bet that a larger and more robust power supply may correct these "lemons". Take care and good luck!
