Product Review:  Good Printer
Posted on Mar 12, 2010 9:09 am
I found a program on the 309 printer installation disc called HP Photosmart studio that has the ability to design and print labels for the DC/DVD. It's true that it is not well advertised in the documentation, but it is there and works great. Full customization including pictures (images.)

Product:  HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One Printer
Posted on Jan 16, 2010 2:13 pm
I have a HP C7280 all in one print (print, copy, scan and fax). It worked very good until
June 2009 when the fax just stopped working. It is out of warranty and I cannot figure out why the fax will not send or receive. Any suggestions?

HP C7280 all-in-one - Good and bad - I've had it for almost a year now. GOOD - It works flawlessly with my wireless network. It does make great 4x6 photos. I love the automatic document feeder. BAD - Never been able to figure out the #10 envelope printing. So I still hand write them. It uses way too much ink. I have it set to use black ink only, but it still uses the colored ink, too. Tech support in India was not able to help me resolve this problem so I gave up. I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them recently because I lost the HP Solution Center feature. I can't access my fax log now in the Solution Center and don't know how to fix it and not going to mess with Tech Support, they are useless. I WILL NOT BUY THIS BRAND AGAIN !It's been a PIA :(

Hi, I made a litle tool to easaly download your video's and images from your camcorder. I made it for my legria HF200 but it can be used for any camcorder. You don't need to connect your camera, just insert you sd-card in your pc or connect the camera to the PC and download the video's to your PC. You'l need dotnet framework 3.5 to use this software. You can download it at http://users.telenet.be/truyens/

I am sick and tired of trying to set up the wireless network on this printer! I have had this for a while but do not use it as much as I like but every time I try to use it I can not connect through the wireless network. When I can I blow out my internet. Than when I do get it connected right I can not print through Photoshop! I have to transfer to a thumb drive and print from that. I am totaly not happy right now with this printer. And of course I am stuck with it now (waste of my money). I have no time to try to contact tech support I have a life!

Product Review:  Patch download required
Posted on May 3, 2009 2:06 pm
Just wondering if your "35 reboots, 12 beers, 2 cigars, and 7 hours " was in search of the patch OR the application of the patch?
I can beat ya on reboots, hours, tobacco AND I even installed it on another machine, uninstalled Security software bla bla bla!
NEVER will buy another Lexmark. Their answer to EVERYTHING is to "re-install".
Thanks for having posted here. Haven't installed the patch yet but hoping it works for mee too.

So I finally got my hands on this thing and all I gotta say is Wow! The screen is simply amazing it's so crisp and bright. It's quite snappy and all around a spectacular notebook. I've even got XP installed through VMWare Fusion so I can run mIRC again after all these years.

I'd like to start by building an app for Hawkee. Maybe something similar to the Facebook app where you can check your friends' activities and notices. It really depends on how much time it will cost me though and what other projects I have in front of it.

That post makes a good case for building apps that have long term value, so that really supports my idea to do a Hawkee app.

Just ordered myself one of these. Can't wait to get it and start building some iPhone apps.

Nice, you have any ideas for apps yet?

I just found this on Gizmodo and thought it was interesting: The Life of an iPhone App: Nasty, Brutish and Short

It's well worth it, and I don't think I could live with any other computer. I made the switch 4 years ago and I've got no plans to go back whatsoever. Also, never had a problem getting applications that do exactly what I want. OS X is a very well supported operating system.

Really tempted to get one of these. I've got a 17" Powerbook G4 that's getting a tad slow right now, so a core 2 duo would do me good.
