Great little full feature camera for the price and shipping was very fast. I recomend this camera for anyone who needs an easy, fun and all around product with great picture and video capabilities.

As with all gift purchases I had to take this baby for a test drive before I wrapped it up. Amazingly the photos are crystal clear. Resolution is perfect. The built in stabilizer helped compensate for the windy day. One photo from the series of shots that I had taken was enlarged to 11" x 14" format. All I can say is, pixel perfect. One sweet feature that surprised me was the digital zoom. It enhanced each and every photo without sacrificing pixels. Unless the user requires photo enlargements over 11" x 14" on a regular basis, 7 mega-pixels is more then enough for the average camera enthusiast.
When it comes to powering up electronics, I strongly recommend that only top of the line rechargeable batteries be used. Never operate gear with "no name" batteries. That includes the generic, Kodak labeled alkaline batteries that are packaged with this camera. Continued use of junk batteries will result in power shutdowns and eventual corrosion. When stowing your camera always remove the batteries.

I wanted a digital camera easy to learn and use since this is my first digital. Followed Consumer Reports recommedations and am very pleased with quality and ease of picture taking. Easy on the pocketbook, too.

I LOVE this camera!!!!!!! I bought it for a trip to disney world in June and I have taken over 500 pictures with it already. My mom has a Canon Power Shot that she payed over $300 for and whenever she wants good pics she asks if she can borrow my camera. She is going to buy one as soon as the economy gets a little better.

So, the DSC-W120 came in the mail today. I charged the battery via the charger, turned it on and viola: a dead or stuck pixel appeared on the top left of the LCD display. This is quite discouraging. I called Sony and they gave me the run-around even though their box states, "PLEASE DO NOT RETURN THE PRODUCT TO THE STORE" urging costumers to call Sony with defective products. I took a few pictures and the dead/stuck pixel does not replicate itself in the photo. So, the question is should I keep it? Or return it and go through the hassle of a replacement or refund? I would like some insight here, since this is my first digital camera in (gasp) seven years!

This is the first digital camera I have ever used and I am greatly pleased with it. I have taken thousands of pictures with film cameras, have even worn out several. On my recent trip to South Louisiana I was able to take pictures that would have been difficult to do with a film camera. The Fuji S 700 made it easy for me . Truly a fine product.

I got this camera recently and must say that its a very nice camera for its price. The pictures are very clear and the camera has a very sleak design. The one thing I don't like is the fact that it takes only memory sticks (which are expensive), but then thats something common to all sony cameras. All in all I love this camera.

Quick ship and was as advertised. Pulled the camera out of the box, put in the batteries, and started taking pictures. So simple. Then I looked at the directions. I did this because my daughter was taking it on a field trip that day. She had only the instruction I gave her. I know she didn't read directions. Now have some great photos of our grand kids. Highly recommend this camera.
The only reason for the 4 stars on pricing is I wish all prices were even lower.
Great deal and camera

Sure, the name looks promising. Sony is a well respected company known for their great quality in electronic devices. I thought FOR SURE that with the reviews this camera had gotten and the brand name, it would be a fantastic camera. Shortly, day after day, I found out I was completely wrong.
1. The zoom, which was advertised as 4x Optical Zoom, is terrible. My old digital camera (Kodak, probably only cost me a little over $100) had a zoom that went 100x further than this camera's. The zoom gets blurry much too quickly, even though it does not allow you to even zoom that far in the first place!
2. The timer button (you press it and the camera takes the picture by itself) has two options; 10 seconds and not at all. And even at that, you can not pick which flash setting you want.
3. The camera does take good photos, however it takes AWHILE to take them. Sometimes the red light will go off for quite awhile before flashing (and at that, it flashes twice; most people move after it flashes

Love it! Very easy to use. Some advanced features are a little intimidating, but the instruction booklet is pretty easy to follow. Takes wonderful pictures! Definitely worth the money!

After briefly reviewing the abbreviated instruction booklet, I was able to take photos with ease. The camera has great features and a huge screen. Battery charges quickly and holds the charge for a long time. My daughter's birthday is next week and she is getting this camera as well.

Bought this for my 9 year old daughter and it seems to be a good value. Had some trouble getting it to power up at one point and found that it didn't work well on regular alkaline AA batteries and had to get Kodak's batteries. Overall a good lower end camera.

I bought this refurbised camera to replace an identical one that I bought 6 months ago. I dropped the original one on the tile and the lens broke. It was going to be over $100.00 to fix the lens, so I just bought a refurbised one instead. It is working great.

This camera worked only briefly before freezing -- it would do nothing at all and would not even turn on, despite trying different batteries. Amazon exchanged it for the same model, at our request, and we had the same experience with that one as well. Please check out other online reviews for this camera before puchasing it. This has happened to other buyers. On a postive note, Amazon's customer service continues to impress.

I love this camera and have been having a lot of fun trying out all the different modes of operation. All are easy to access and produce outstanding quality! I was snapping pictures within minutes of receiving it using the internal memory until I purchased a memory card. The battery is great too, lasting hours and hours beyond what normal AA batteries would. Easy to load software is included but I haven't really played around with it much. The only negative so far seems to be the built in microphone for when you are shooting video scenes. It is not very sensitive but maybe there is an adjustment I can make to correct this minor problem. I absolutely love the panorama stitching capabilities complete with guides so that your pano shots line up perfectly every time! I am happy overall with my choice. Now I dont' have to carry around my bulky digital SLR all the time since this one is so powerful and compact that it slips into my purse easily. I never have to miss a Kodak Moment ever again!!!

was a little unsure about buying a "refurbished" camera but after reading on the website what it meant I decided to give it a try. My husband loves the camera It works perfectly and takes awsome pictures. We got a very expensive camera for a very reasonable price. Love overstock.com!

Well I purchased this camera a couple of days ago and really enjoy it so far. It is very compact (nice to carry in pocket) and has a 'sleek' design. The pictures look fantastic and the different modes make it easy to get the perfect picture. On the other hand, my camera's lense makes a strange noise upon opening (maybe they all do that). Also, most normal SD memory cards are not compatible- meaning I had to get a new memory card. Other than that this camera is a great pick- I recommend it.

purchased this to replace my same camera that was stolen in a restaurant. Great quality camera, and a great price at overstock. Would recommend getting a larger memory card too, as the one included only allows about 14 pictures before it is full. Overstock shipped it the same day, and I received it that night! Wow!
