Coby Electronics TF-DVD7377 Portable DVD Player-7 TFT Widescreen Portable DVD
I love mine! My Mom bought this for me after we looked at different ones for months. It's great, it comes with alot of features so you can do a bunch of fine tuning so it's just right to see, many others don't have that capability. I've taken it all over, plays CD's audio books you name it. I put my picture discs in I've made in it & everyone can see what I've taken anywheres. Picture is very clear & easy on the eyes & that was a big plus for me as I'm a diabetic & have migraines. It doesn't trigger the headache & some will. The battery doesn't go flat in a short amt of time like some do & the USB port adds even more versatility. I've dragged mine around for almost a year & never a problem. So much fun & worth the money spent too! Great little player!!!

Kodak EasyShare P720 Digital Picture Frame
Bought this as a gift for my mom so that she wouldn't need to print digital pics anymore.
The touch screen makes all the difference. That's what differentiates this digital frame from most others with clunky buttons,hard-to-navigate menus, and remote controls.

Coby 7 Inch Portable DVD , CD and MP3 player
Got this player to use on my treadmill as I walk. The only complaint I have is the audio. Even off the treadmill the volume is so low that it is difficult to hear. Otherwise, it was a good value for the money.

Asus Eee PC 2G Surf
I was pleased with the performance of this little wonder. First thing I did was increase the RAM to 2 GB and have never looked back. As the owner of several group homes, I keep the medical records of each resident on this machine (password protected) which beats the alternative of carrying their medical folders with me for doctors visits. The only shortcoming I have found is the touch pad is to sensitive for my heavy hand, but using a small mouse solved that problem instantly. And during those long waits for the doctor the resident and I can watch movies saved to a 16 GB DS Card, LOL The screen is large enough to read and having a wireless built-in is fantastic. I am looking to buy the newer model with 16GB and windows in the near future.

Q1UP-V Intel Pentium ULV U1500 1.33GHz Ultra Premium UMPC
I am a scientist and due to my work I need a great deal of mobility. I got this device with an extra AC adapter (one for home and one for my lab), because are the main areas where I work and with the 6-cell battery I can get more than 6 hours without wifi. I bought a cheap usb keyboard for paper writing and I can say that I dont need any more. Vista runs smoothly with the 2gb and it handles all what I need in a very satisfying way. The screen is really good, very bright, and although everyone tells me about how small is the 7inch screen, I find it totally aceptable for my work. I already took it to a congress outside my city and to a trip into the US (i'm from Chile) and for the first time I did not miss anything, because I had it all within this device. I had to prepare a results discussion and I did the powerpoint presentation in the plane without any difficulty. I find this device almost perfect. I use foldershare in order to sync both computers, mozy for some cloud computing and the

Archos 705 WiFi Portable Multimedia Player with 160GB* Hard Drive - Silver
I bought this device based on my good experience with the 605. The 705 had on paper looked like a great little device.

The test files I used are made from DVDs 720x400 at 257kbps 29 frames per second. I did my tests based on my typical usage... riding the subway. This required volume to be cranked to 99 and the Backlight to be turned all the way up. I used AVI files because that is what you can use without wasting money on the plugins

THE GOOD
-They use non-proprietary USB ports - a change from previous models
-This battery is user replacable... important since recharging eventually beats up a battery and because as shown below the battery life is not great.
-Hard drive is a respectable 160G.
-Case has a place to hold your stylus so you might take longer to lose it.
-There is a direct AC charger instead of trickle charging via USB as on previous models.

THE BAD AND UGLY.

-Nowhere to store the stylus on the unit itself.
-Even at volume 99 it was hard to hear on a subway. I

Polaroid 7" Swivel Portable DVD Player, Blue
When this product was originally advertised, it included at 2-hour rechargeable battery pack, but when received, there was no battery pack, and the item number was different from the product I ordered. It seems they ran out of the product with the battery pack, and just sent a replacement (without informing us prior to shipping - I guess hoping we wouldn't notice).
The product itself works well, but is not "completely portable" without the pack.
VERY DISSAPOINTED

Sylvania 7" G Netbook
I ordered this little notebook about 3 weeks ago, and as soon as it arrived, had it connected to the internet in about 5 minutes. But after a short while, it started dropping the connection. I would reconnect, and it would drop the connection again. If I am within 10 feet of my router, it works fine, but having to be that close defeats the purpose of being wireless. (I might as well have a 10 foot cord.) Also, the shortcuts to youtube videos made me think this thing could play videos. However, the video was very choppy, and halting. First I tried rebooting. That did not help. Called tech support, who told me to upgrade to new version of gOS on their website. That still did not help. I also tried ndiswrapper with Windows driver. That did not help either. Finally, I installed Windows XP, and all problems went away. Everything works as it should. (I just didn't really want to run Windows, because of viruses.)

So the OS that comes with this unit is buggy. I hope these issues are fixed in the

Coby 7 Inch Portable DVD , CD and MP3 player
I bought this DVD player for a trip that we were going to take. Unfortunately we did not get to go and I did not use it for a few weeks after I bought it. We ended up using it and within a month or so it quit working. There is sound but no picture. I guess it is my own fault for not taking the extended warranty, but I would think it would last longer than a couple of months.

Sylvania 7" G Netbook
Received the computer, and the hard drive failed, but it was replaced by J&R quickly. The replacement item had issues with the wireless, but tech support advised me to download and install the new OS, which I did, and all the problems disappeared.

This little netbook works great, opens MS docs and spreadsheets, has decent image quality and a 30G hard drive. The wireless operation is fine, and there is a dvi output. A cordless mouse makes it much easier.

I have read some reviews complaining about the screen size and processor speed. Good lord, this is an inexpensive little device much easier to use than a Blackberry or Iphone, extremely light and not the kind of thing to worry about leaving in your hotel room. The Linux OS mimics Mac Leopard quite well. The keyboard is plenty big. It does what it advertises, and one should expect some growing pains as the google OS is at its inception.

Nextar 7-inch N7-115 Digital Photo Frame-Nextar 7 Digital Photo Frame
I am not a great digital picture/computer user. I was able to put this together with advice of friends and it was a great value and works great. There was not too much in the way of information on how to make it work, so the knowledge of friends was vital. They thought it was a great deal and worked very well. It needed a chip and then all was well.

Coby 7 Inch Portable DVD , CD and MP3 player
I was looking for a small and light DVD player since I was anticipating traveling quit a lot in the next several months. This is my first Coby purchase. You can't beat the price or actual quality of the product BUT I am not happy at all with the sound when using the headphones (I tried 2 different headphones + the one's that came with it) unfortunately it is VERY dim. So, while I'm flying, I usually set it on sub-titles and I'm okay.

Case Logic 7 -10 In-Car DVD Player Case-7-10IN INCAR DVD PLYER PORTABLECASESHUTTLE BLACK
the case worked well for what i needed.
it came in a timely fashion and did the job suspending between the front head rests.
It took a bit of figuring out on how to do it.. but after a dry run.. i was good to go.

Sylvania 7" G Netbook
I bought this PC from J&R (great service!!!) as it had more of what I desire in a micr-notebook than any of the others out there. The fact that it is much less expensive was just an added plus.

I loved everything about this computer save one drawback which I'll address momentarily. It is fast, stable, adequate connectivity, superior portability, and a decent touchpad. The preloaded software is decent too. I have used Open Office (pre-loaded software) for years now on several other machines and have found it to be the equal to and superior to MS Office on several levels.

All in all, a great deal, a great machine, with great potential; save the drawback I mentioned: Poor WEP Wireless Network connectivity.

It will not connect to any WEP encrypted wireless network I have attempted to connect to, nor have I been successful in connecting to unsecured networks. I spent an entire day at home with tech support for my internet provider, from the router manufacturer (Buffalo Technology-Excellent

Sylvania 7" G Netbook
Wireless performance is low. Software can't really connect to my WEP network at home. Tech support informed that upgrade software will be introduced later. Already tried to install Win XP and found that antenna is not the best. I can pickup signal only within a short range. Overall, I don't like it much and end up return them.

Kodak SV-710 EasyShare 7-inch Digital Picture Frame
This seemed like a good deal when I first bought it, but considering the poor picture quality in a product whose only purpose is to display pictures, it isn't a bargain at all. The picture is grainy due to the poor resolution. If I hadn't been so busy around the time that I bought it, I would have returned it. Spend a little more on a better product and you won't regret it.

Archos 705 WiFi Portable Multimedia Player with 160GB* Hard Drive - Silver
I used this player for 2 weeks and it is dead. I paid $70 just for the Plug-ins. Called customer service and they put me on hold for 40 mins at the end they told me to return it to Amazon. This is the second product I bought from Archos and both died within 3 weeks. Stay away from Archos.

Polaroid 7" Swivel Portable DVD Player, Blue
Beware that this refurbished product does not come with the travel battery. I was able to get one cheap through another site. The unit itself is very good and provides a very good picture. For the price paid including the seperate purchase of the battery, it is a good bargain.

Kodak EasyShare P720 Digital Picture Frame
I have had this digital frame for almost a week, and I am extremely pleased with the way it works. It is exactly what I wanted. I am no photographer; I have a lot of pictures on my computer, and I wanted to be able to copy them to a memory key, and then be able to view them on the frame. It all works seamlessly and with great ease. The touch commands take but a few minutes to figure out. For me, it seemed easy to separate pictures on different memory keys whether they are in portrait on landscape mode. The frame is right here on my desk; it is pretty small to have it at any great distance, and I could not imagine hanging it on the wall. It is not the faciest, and perhaps at some time in the future I might want something better. I highly recommend it, and hope that you will be as pleased with it as I am.
