I have actually removed the drive from its housing. I'ts an normal WD 1.5TB SATA drive. If you connect an other WD Sata drive which is partitioned and formatted under windows to the USB interface from the MyBook, and then connect that to your PC, it will only show a 633MB CD drive, and complains that the driver cannot be installed. Also, if you connect the 1.5TB drive from the Mybook directly in your PC using SATA, windows sees a blank non initialized drive.
This probably means that the MyBook USB interface always initiates a 633MB drive, and tries to show content from a fixed location on the drive. It then reports slightly different drive parameters to the PC. There might also be special driver software on the drive itself?
What does this mean? Well, if that special area on the drive gets lost, the drive content is also lost. It will not show as a 1.5TB USB drive anymore, and you probably can't retrieve the content by connecting the internal drive to a SATA interface on your PC.
Don't like that neither.
I could have experimented some more, for example restoring the 'firmware' from WD onto a blank drive but I didn't want to risk the content of my internal 1.5T drive for this. I'll be selling my MyBook again possibly...

I have followed instructions step-by-step but did not get it worikng on vista64 due to problem with installation of printerports. "New port could not be created" and installations stops. I did get the printer working over LAN (that printerport was installed, i had to select it manually) but the other port (fax) was not installed and I can not use it.
How did you get it installed?
It is a shame having a AIO that can be used to print only....
