Portable USA 5.6 Digital Picture Frame
This great little frame is a replacement from another brand that was cheaper but awful! The screen is really quite bright and the controls are easy to navigate. I got one for me first then my mom. I take my Canon camera card and puut it in and choose the slideshow and it scrolls through very clearly. I can't think of anything bad to say! Good job overstock for finding this brand

Fujitsu LifeBook U810 Notebook-Fujitsu LifeBook U810 Notebook
This is never a general purpose notebook and every interested potential owner should know clear his/her own usage with this machine and judge whether this is suitable. For me, it fits my usage in excellent ways, as a portable ebook reader of any common format for English + Asian languages, a video players for all available formats, and for running some simple special purpose applications that only have the Windows version.

A lot of people claimed that they were dis-satisfied with the boot up time and responsiveness of Windows Vista with this machine. I personally find it not an issue. I only reboot the machine once per a few weeks and most of the time I just put it into either sleep / hibernate. Besides, unlike my full-size notebook, I seldom open more than 3 applications in the same time.

This is my first tablet PC and I took more than 1 week to get used to the controls and interfaces. After that I find it pretty convenient to use. In terms of convenience, it should never be directly

Coby DP-559 5.6-Inch Digital Photo Frame with MP3 Player
We purchased this frame in December, and it stopped working within 5 months. We called COBY for a warranty replacement, but it only has a 90 day warranty, and they would not replace it.

Nextar N5-105 5.6-Inch Digital Photo Frame
If you are looking for the finest screen resolution and most faithful color reproduction, keep looking. On the other hand, if you want an economical digital photo frame with adequate screen resolution and acceptable color reproduction, find this gem on sale and you'll be pleased.

The 320 x 234 screen is on the coarse side and if you stare at each individual photograph, you will see that it is coarse. On the other hand, if you're like me (and I suspect most people) and just glance at it occasionally, you won't notice the coarseness. The viewing angle is quite acceptable.

Color reproduction is good, but definitely not absolutely perfect. Again, not much difference here between what you see in most paper prints that haven't been processed in a photo manipulation program.

For best results, spend some time resizing the photos to 320 x 234 and run them through a color correction program. Resizing will also let you put many more photos onto even a small SD card. On a 2GB SD card, with

Fujitsu U810 Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) Review

SCREEN
The screen is surprisingly clear and bright. As with most laptops, there are handy brightness controls built into the keyboard by way of the Function key (and S and D keys). I was pleasantly surprised at how dim I could kick the screen down in low light environments (saves battery power). There no graininess, the screen quality is surprisingly clear. Crystal clear, in fact - something I was not expecting. There is only a slight lighting/brightness issue that is based on viewing angle because the U810 makes use of basically a large PDA screen (stylus/touch capabilities). If you're looking at it fairly straight, it's nice and bright, but fades if you're trying to look at it from an angle (lust like any other LCD screen). Since the screen is also touchscreen, the U810 has a stylus. The touchscreen, by the way, works great if you go into Device Manager and tweak it so that it doesn't desensitize itself to save power - that keeps it

5FF2CMI 5.6" Digital Photo Frame (White), Digital Media Display, Most Common Memory Cards, 640 x 480, 32MB Internal Memory, 120VAC
The Philips 5.6-Inch Digital Photo Frame (White) is a great value in a relative sense when it comes to the expensive digital frame market. The features are somewhat limited, but the relatively lower price is bound to entice a lot of buyers. I actually prefer the Philips 7-Inch LCD Digital Photo Frame (Black) because of the black frame, slightly larger screen, and USB flash drive compatibility. But if you need a basic starter frame at a low price, this is it.

Pros
+ Great advanced menu functions allow you to control your slideshow
+ Very nice variety of slide-show transitions and collage options
+ Nice memory card slot allows you to connect up a variety of memory cards
+ Memory card slots for Compact Flash I (CF), SD Card, Multi Media Cards (MMC), MiniSD, Memory Stick (MS), and XD Picture Card
+ Convenient timer option turns PhotoFrame on and off at the hours you select
+ USB connection to your computer (to manage the internal memory),
+ Play slideshows, single photo, thumbnails or

Fujitsu LifeBook U810 Notebook-Fujitsu LifeBook U810 Notebook
A bought this UMPC almost 3 months ago and I have only positive notes to give it. It has performed as advertised and the price for the features it offers cannot be beat. Everything from the crystal clear "Tablet" screen to the long battery life is all thumbs up. And, yes, it is very small but coupled with a bluetooth keyboard it will find many uses in just about any situations it is exposed to. I would recommend for beginners to check [...] for excellent information on the latest UMPC's and what they really have to offer.

Remember, you will not be disappointed if the homework is done before purcase!!!

5FF2CMI 5.6" Digital Photo Frame (White), Digital Media Display, Most Common Memory Cards, 640 x 480, 32MB Internal Memory, 120VAC
I am extremely pleased with the Philips digital frame. The price was great. Even better because I got i on a gold box deal. I'd get another one too if it ever comes up again.

I've wondered for a long time about what to do with those hundreds of digital photos. Impossible to print and look at them all. This digital frame is a perfect way to to show off all those pictures.

This Philips frame presents them in a very nice resolution and crystal clear.

Fujitsu LifeBook U810 Notebook-Fujitsu LifeBook U810 Notebook
I'm a professional writer and I like these little gizmos for working in the field. I went to a dealer to do a test drive. The keyboard was a show-stopper for me. If you don't mind a small keyboard -- and I don't -- the size isn't a problem. It's about the same size as my old HP Palmtop. But the keyboard design sucks. Only 1 shift key, on the left side. And the space key (which also doubles as Tab) is too small. I'm a Biblical typist (seek and ye shall find) so I need that second shift key on the right side. For a small unit, I think the ASUS Eee PCs offer a better solution -- for writers, remember.

5FF2CMI 5.6" Digital Photo Frame (White), Digital Media Display, Most Common Memory Cards, 640 x 480, 32MB Internal Memory, 120VAC
This is a great frame for the price. Perfect size for your desk. I easily uploaded about 30 pictures to its internal memory in about 10 minutes from my computer. It automatically copied and downsized my high res photos to 640x480 when i uploaded them to the frame. My original pictures were not altered or downsized. Very nice!

I also have the philips 6.5" frame which costs about 3x as much. This frame is just as good for a lot less...even has more features than the 6.5" does. ( clock, effects, collage displays)

Pros:

great resolution @ 640x480
more picture transition effects than my philips 6.5inch frame
clock display feature
multiple pics can be arranged in collages(cool)
puts thumbnails of other pictures in black bars during vertical display
menu is intuitive and easy to load pictures onto.

Cons:

a tad small (actual picture is 3.5 x 4.5)
frame only comes in white

Definitely best bang for your buck.

5FF2CMI 5.6" Digital Photo Frame (White), Digital Media Display, Most Common Memory Cards, 640 x 480, 32MB Internal Memory, 120VAC
I bought this item when it was offered in gold box lightning deals for fifty. It arrived yesterday and have only spent very little time with it so far. Here are my first impressions and if anything significant comes up in the next few days, I will update this review.

The frame is not widescreen - which is a good thing. You see, most cameras capture pictures in 4:3 ratio and it makes no sense to display them in a widescreen format. Secondly, for the same size (diagonal measure), a 4:3 screen has more surface area than a widescreen format. Finally, you don't need to process your pictures.

I had a 16 MB SD card (that came with a Canon camera) which is really useless for me. So, I thought I try loading some pictures onto it and try the frame. I copied some pictures from my computer without any editing. I copied some pictures after cropping them to a random size, but 4:3 ratio. I copied some pictures by reducing the images to 100 PPI resolution. They all looked fine on the picture frame. The

Coby DP-557 5.6-Inch Digital Photo Frame with MP3 Player (Silver Metal)
I bought this for my husband for our anniversary. He has been looking at these frames for months. I was worried at first that it would not be good because of the price, however it is a nice frame. The picture is clear and you are able to add a lot of pictures if you get something such as an SD disk. He likes that it plays musid too. Get a 2 GB memory card and your set with pictures, videos, and music. I would buy this item again.

Coby DP-559 5.6-Inch Digital Photo Frame with MP3 Player
The USB port connects to flash drives - NOT to a computer - so if you think this digital picture frame has an internal flash memory that you load from a computer, you're in for a rude surprise. I haven't tried using this picture frame with the Digital Camera memory cards it supports - I'm strictly using it with the USB interface. If you don't have a flash drive lying around, you'll have to purchase one (another $10 to $20 expense) Also it does not work with every flash drive - I eventually figured out I had to reformat my old but usable flash drive "FAT32" versus "FAT" for it to be usable with this device and to not get the error message from the picture frame GUI "not supported file". Also, to connect the picture frame to a TV, you'll have to buy a special 3.5mm to RCA composite video cable - or you may have one that came with a CamCorder or Digital camera

I do love the tiny but useful remote control, the 3x zoom, and the rotate 90% feature for shifting between portrait & landscape

Lifebook U810 Notebook A110 800MHz, 512KBL2, 400MHz, 1GB, 40GB, NIC, abg, BT, 5.6"WSVGA, VB
I do a lot of traveling for my company, and have been looking for a UMPC to replace an ailing Psion MX-5, as well as my 5-pound Thinkpad. I agonized over the OQO2 for a while, but the keyboard size and configuration is just not useful for 2 or 3-fingered typing unless you bring an external keyboard, and the price is prohibitive.

I ordered the U810 with Windows XP (my company does not use Vista) and it arrived 3 weeks ago, just as I was about to go on the road. I grabbed a teeny USB-powered optical drive, and used it to load the MS Office suite apps and Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 while on the road. All went well. The latest Kaspersky security suite installed wirelessly with no problems. As a Psion user, I found the wonderfully bright touchscreen invaluable and easy to use for document correction and proofreading. Finally, I loaded Zoomit so that the bright but small screen could easily be used to view Web pages with small type. The keyboard, though small, does lend itself to 3-finger

Lifebook U810 Notebook A110 800MHz, 512KBL2, 400MHz, 1GB, 40GB, NIC, abg, BT, 5.6"WSVGA, VB
This is the first review I have brought myself to write online. I ordered the U810 a couple weeks ago and have been using it very frequently. I read many reviews about it on the internet prior to buying it, so I knew what to expect about its limitations and features.

I have to say that I was blown away when I first opened it up. Everyone always says they are amazed at how small it was when they first saw it. Reading those reviews I figured that I wouldn't be surprised at its size when I first saw it, but even expecting it, I was still amazed at how compact this device really is.

I ordered mine with Vista Home Premium on it. I have had 3 other computers prior to this one with Vista on it, so I am very familiar with Vista and know what to expect. One of the main gripes about this device is its performance with Vista. I feel that its performance is actually fairly good. I am a PC gamer, so I usually use PC's with high performance. This UMPC handles applications very well. You just have to

Portable USA 5.6 Digital Picture Frame
I purchased this from Amazon after Christmas 2007. The set up menu was a little awkward to figure out, but once the options are set up it works well. I'm using a 2-gig SD memory card with it. The screen resolution is adequate, and the colors are bright. You can play MP3s along with the slide show if you like. I like the fact that the aspect ratio matches that of a typical camera photo, and the photos aren't stretched or distorted.

Lifebook U810 Notebook A110 800MHz, 512KBL2, 400MHz, 1GB, 40GB, NIC, abg, BT, 5.6"WSVGA, VB
Microsoft's UMPC or Origami specification, like many of their speculations such as the first iterations of Dot Net, was fuzzy and left people wondering might emerge. Now as the Microsoft Tablet PC spec celebrates its fifth birthday, Fujitsu has, in my opinion, come the closest yet to realizing the UMPC goal: a very small, lightweight, affordable computer that runs Windows with few, if any limitations, anytime, anywhere.

To be sure, Fujitsu calls the U810 (U1010 in outside the US) a mini-laptop.

Many of us lusted for the Toshiba Libretto when it was released several years back or the various lightweight ultra-portable Sony Vaio computers.

Fujitsu has essentially pushed past them and others including the OQO. There is nothing remotely near the U810 at this price point. The Asus Eee doesn't qualify because it lacks the 40GB hard drive of the U810.

In terms of operation, the U810 is distressingly far from perfect. In fact, if you are going to live with the U810, you're going to
