This camera is excellent. The image it produces is crisper than the one my iSight produces. I am completely satisfied and highly recommend it.

I believe this webcam may work well as described, however, after receiving it and spending quite a bit of time trying to figure out why my Mac did not recognize this camera I decided to contact Logitech support before returning this camera. I am still using OS 10.3.9 and very happy. But per Logitech; the webcam that you are using is only supported in Mac OS 10.4.11 or higher. The camera is not properly detected because it does not meet the requirement is order to function. This is not mentioned on any of their literature, website or in the wecam instructions. I hope this assists in keeping down the returns.

This product listing is a bit misleading in that the Mac can't really take advantage of the high resolution of this camera. Apple software simply does not support such high resolution: as it says in the specs above, "Photo Booth and iChat support a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels."
Talia, your G4 iMac simply doesn't have enough horsepower , in processor speed or video resolution, to do satisfying video chat- with any video camera. You have to dig into the iChat specifications, but this is what Apple states for 1-1 video chat requirements: 320-by-240 pixel video resolution requires a minimum of 1.8 GHz G5, or 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo (one of the newer dual-processor computers). According to their specs, your computer would support a video resolution of 160-by-120 pixels- this is a video picture that is approximately 2 inches by 1.5 inches in size- tiny. If the chat window is any bigger, no matter what camera you use, the video will be choppy and poor quality because your Mac simply

I purchased this for my daughter. It was easy to use and she loved it. However, suddenly, all the music and pictures on it disappeared and when I tried to load new music on, it appeared to work but the audio never worked again. The warranty is only 30 days so I could not return it since it has been 6 months. Don't buy it, invest in an ipod or creative zen.

Now that I have this GPS working with maps from TOPO! loaded in the SD card, this is a fantastic device for locating myself while hiking. The receiver works really well, and I have had no problems with the system crashing. There are lots of nice features, and I'm getting used to the menus quickly. Perhaps Magellan and National Geographic have worked out some of the bugs that bedeviled the initial release of the Triton series.

Even with this background, it took me over two hours to figure out how the get the Triton to negotiate with my computer. Magellan documentation for the Triton is hopeless. NG has a very useful support page that describes how to set up the Triton for communicating with TOPO!, but it is difficult to locate on their web page and it is not entirely accurate. But now that I know

I did my homework before deciding upon this Microsoft cam and read reviews on this and all other options to choose from. I paid more than I had anticipated but wanted to get good quality. The picture is average and speed is slow.

I am not to pleased with this product because I only got to use it once and then my batteries died, then when I put in new batteries (the rechargeable kind) in the camera/camcorder it would register a full battery then within a second afterwards it would register low battery and shut off right after that. I also did not like the fact that the device did not come with a memory card. And most memorycards where not that expensive but expensive enough especially after paying for the camera/camcoder. The only thing that was worth my money is the 2 year warranty that I purchased for problems I have encounterd.

I use this camera to scope out my back yard during the night. Within the included software, you can set the Motion Censor to capture people, objects or anything else that moves. When the object or person crosses within the field of vision of the camera, it will automatically start recording onto your computer. Now, I suggest using a motion censor light to brighten the area you would like to view because the Auto Bright setting on the camera is just ok. The camera does not see in the dark well if not at all.
Now thats my personal use. Obviously you can use this camera to chat with friends, or post videos on youtube. I use this camera for so many different things its amazing!

I ordered this camera thinking that I was going to have a great camera for taking indoor pictures. This camera works great outdoors with a lot of sunshine, it does not work well indoors. If you want to purchase this in expensive camara for a child it would be a wonderful gift, but if it is going to be for an adult I would choose something else. The features are very easy to use, but the quality of the picture is not that great. The only problem I did have with this camera was when you are using the zoom you can hear all the clicking from the button when you play the video back. But I guess you can't expect but so much for the price.

Has the automatic controls that a novice fotographer needs. If you want easy switching of program modes or video mode, you had better learn the menu navigation. The buttons are limited in scope, and not very user friendly. If you want to take good pix, this is great because it can even take two of the same pose, one with flash and one natural. Great for wedding guests.

I love this camera!! It's very simple to use and has many features to support most video/photo adjustments the average person would want to make to take a great shot. My wife likes it and she's not particularly tech-savvy. I'm a software developer so I tend to do well with technology.
I was drawn to the camera because of the HDD digital storage and it seemed to be high quality when compared with others that I experimented with in it's class without being bulky, or having an awkward or complicated user interface. Once I discovered this unit at my favorite technology retail store, I did a lot of research on the device - its features and usability, and tried to find it's weaknesses from any professional review I could locate. I did all my searching on the Internet. What I found was that nearly all the reviews were raving when compared with others (it was a leader in major publishers). The weakness that was pointed out by only a few reviews was that it seems to have an ever so slight difficulty

The Camera is of excellent quality, works well in low light (the reason for buying the camera). Took it on a Carribean cruise and have excellent results from it.
First camera to arrive quit working within 10 minutes of operation. Since the cruise departed in one week, they shipped the 2nd camera out without waiting for the 1st camera to be received back. Excellent service and 2nd camera works flawlessly.

I bought this as a kindergarten graduation gift for my daughter. She loves music so I thought she'd love the mp3 player, and she also likes to take pictures so the camera aspect was intriguing. She loved it! Not only does she enjoy listening to the music, but she also loves to make videos with it too! ( I didn't realize it did that t) She has played with it for hours and is the envy of all her friends. There is no flash, and the picture quality can be poor if you don't hold it really still, but for the $ who cares?! She sure doesn't. The only negative is the lack of good instructions on how to download the music. It took a while to figure out and was very frustrating, but once we figured it out it was ok. Would definately recommend if you want a lot of features for a small price. (As long as you are not looking for high quality sound!) As she has said, "Excellent shopping MOM!"

Absolutely fantastic Camera. Chock full of features, super clear video, and smooth operation. Not even a single driver issue. Just about a perfect camera. Kinda pricey though. (Can't have everything, I guess.)

I bought this camera for my daughter for her 11th birthday. We both love the camera, bought a memory card to expand how many pictures and videos it can hold. We can easily download the pictures from the camera to our MySpace pages and other picture sharing sites like Dropshots. The video isn't the best quality but for us, it works fine. BUT...we are not technical, are not looking for the best and WERE looking for a camera that would do what we needed it to do for a reasonable price. We found those things with this camera. And the battery life is AWESOME!

I got one of these recently and we're going to get another, it is fantastic. Great picture, you can adjust the rate to either 50 or 60 MHz and there are lots of different preset picture sizes. Very clear, sharp and the face tracking works well but not perfectly. (Animation and tracking are not active at the same time, btw.) The built-in mike is also very good and has background noise suppression. The stick extension is a fantastic idea for desktops and is a mini-USB cable incased in a hard plastic tube. It's sort of creepy when this `eyeball' moves on the end of its stick as it tracks you. The active light is noticeable. There is a manual control via software, too. The unit can be setup for snapping photos or short videos based on motion detection. Its RightLight tech works well when you are not lit correctly but isn't good enough or effective/enabled to run calibrations for the animations. It is not a camera for very low lighting situations.

This camera performs poorly in low light, as a matter of fact, when I used my 6 or 7 year old Sony TRV17 I could not tell a difference between the 2 pictures on my 50" Plazma TV. At least not for interior and low light video. Outside the picture was very bright and there was definetly a big difference between the two.
I returned this one and splurged for the SR11. You get a 60gig HD, 10MP digital stills, and just a huge difference in picture quality indoors and out. And with a 10MP still camera built in, I almost don't even need a digital.
The camera fits nicely in the palm of my hand, all the controls are convienently located.
The menu's can be a little confsing at first, but after a few minutes it becomes pretty easy to navigate around, and if you're not too tech saavy, there's always the "easy" button.
Oh also to save battery life and if you're recording in bright sunlight, the SR11 has a viewfinder which this model doesn't.
I guess I should be leaving this in the SR11 reviews pages,

I read a lot of the other reviews before buying this camera, which was a BIG help. Just got back from Hawaii and using the new camcorder for two week and the movies it makes are UNBELIEVABLE. A relative that went on the trip also bough a HD camcorder (different brand) and we played our different movies back on the same TV and this camcorder provided better clarity. When I looked at their camcorder I thought OH, OH, because it was a lot heavier, but overall this unit was better.

Excellent image quality, good color and contrast, amazing resolution. Very easy to use and setup. I have owned Sony cameras almost exclusively and wondered how the joystick control would work over the touch screen - it worked very well - if fact I liked it better. My largest concern and the reason I returned this unit was because of the wind noise. No matter what the setting, the slightest breeze would create an awful muffling sound - drowning out important sounds - even kids screaming and having fun at the pool. However, to be fair, the indoor audio quality is right up there with best in my opinion.
If you want to edit videos created by this camera consider this -- the iLink (IEEE 1394) firewire connection does work however you must record in the lower quality 1440 CBR (Constant Bitrate Mode) in order to get the video over the link and into popular capture software such as Adobe Premier, Sony Vegas and Apple's Final Cut Pro. I found this to be a little confusing and not well documented.

Well, we took it on vacation and when the card (which I purchased extra) was full, I exited out of the camera and all our photos disappeared. Our whole vacation is gone. The instruction book is very samall and not helpful at all. There is no website to get information from. I can't believe I have no vacation memories since this is my first vacation we have had in years. The most disappointing purchase I have ever made. Can't see thru the viewer when it is sunny and when it is dim, you can't see either.
