Sony NWZ-S738FBNC 8GB Media Player - Black
I owned an iPod nano and classic before this. Although I do miss the iPod wheel for navigation, this mp3 player encorporates a very good FM radio. I would not use the software provided with this player. Instead, download winamp (free) or use windows media player. That way you can create playlists. The headphones are good, but not great. The noise cancelling works ok, but it only works with the headphones provided. The headphones have a groove sticking out, so you cannot use these headphones with other players. You can however use other headphones with this player. You can buy a custom armband for this player too; however, the volume button is hidden and hard to use with the custom armband (a flaw.) The video works good and you can tilt the video via a command on the menu; however, it does not tilt automatically like the new iPod nano. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it lacks an application like iTunes. That's where Apple rocks. However, it has an FM player which

Canon PIXMA MP520 Photo All-in-One Printer
I managed to buy under a hundred dollars and have been very happy with the product. I had an Epson before, which eventually failed from clogging issues. I bought a new AIO Lexmark, but could not get it to print for some reason though it would scan and copy (I tried customer support, which was utterly unhelpful). I swore off buying from those two companies ever again. I was losing hope in any printer manufacturer until I found this. Set-up perfectly with no problems and print quality is great for simple home use. Scans faster than my Epson or Lexmark did, and better quality in my opinion. I like that this printer has a flat top (I tend to be a bit haphazard and pile things on top of all kinds of equipment) so there are no "bumps" to make things roll off the top if I set them down on top of the printer. I love that I can feed paper from the front (as opposed to printers that usually make you feed from the back so you always have the paper feed guide sticking up and out collecting dust when

iRiver 1LP8BLK 8GB MP3 L-Player - Black
Hi,

I got this a couple of weeks ago. It is not bad--looks good, sounds good (on Shure 210s, anyway).

Unlike some reviews the d-click seems fine to me.

My issues are:

a) it doesn't order songs well. There is no (easy) way to order things by Artist and then Album for example. Ever worse, Albums are not in alphabetical order. This is a real pain!

b) it doesn't play nicely with linux...you can get it to work, but out of the box it needs a little tweaking

Coby Electronics MP-705 2GB Flash Portable Media Player - Audio Player, Video Player, Photo Viewer, FM Tuner - 2 Active Matrix TFT Color LCD - 2GB Flash Memory - Blue
I took it out of the box and in no time at all I had all of my music loaded and was ready go. It came with the battery at half charge and took very little time to fully charge after that. If the battery is not charged, you should charge it as recommended. It is very easy to navigate through the menus and set up. Excellent for the price.

Lumix DMC-FZ50, 10.1 Megapixel, 12x Optical/2x Digital Zoom, Digital Camera (Black)
I was really on the fence about purchasing this camera but I couldn't be happier that I did. I'm thrilled!! My camera needs were: everyday use, amateur landscape photography, and most importantly product photos for my online business.

This camera takes beautiful product photos. Without even adjusting the settings you can showcase breathtaking details of your products while creating an attractive background blur. This camera delivers beautiful details at a manageable output that's easy to compress for web use.

Things I love:

The macro settings are fantastic! If you need detailed images this camera is perfect.

Low light - My canon point and shoot completely died so I had to hurriedly take a bunch of photos the minute this camera arrived. I took a few hurried shots in low light without changing any settings. I was pleasantly surprised to discover how well the images turned out.

Viewfinder - This has one of the most comfortable/larger viewfinders on digital cameras that I've ever

Coby MP305-4GBLK USB-Stick 4GB MP3 player with LCD Display
This little thing does everything it's supposed to. It's easy to load with music via drag & drop. I found the easiest way to transfer music was to leave it in MTP mode, format the drive, and just drag and drop my music onto it. There are some files on it from the factory, some podcast program also, I don't need that stuff so a format worked the best for me. MTP mode lets you just pull it out and go, without having to do the "safely remove hardware" method. (windows XP)

The battery life is what it is. I used it for about 13hrs before needing to change batteries. I will be looking into a rechargeable battery for it soon.

It's not as smooth and slick looking as the image shown here. It looks a little cheaper and bulkier in person. There is no mic either, as shown in this image. It has a little hole for it, but no mic.

The FM tuner worked just fine, and has a lot of available presets (31).

Instructions are very detailed and easy to understand.

The included earphones are not

Garmin eTrex Vista Cx Portable Navigator - 2.14 Active Matrix TFT Color LCD - 12 Channels - Warm Start 15 Second - Mini USB
If all you want is a GPS, sure it works fine, even with reasonably heavy tree cover. I've only seen one glaring track error, on a recent ride out and back along a shoreline trail, where two miles of one leg is shown a few hundred yards out into the lake.

However, the UI is non-sensical and the "get started guide" useless. I don't get why Garmin supposedly has a reputation for good UI.

Take the back-light button: who in their right minds makes a back-light button bring up the back-light UI and not the back-light?

The clock is even funnier. You'd think a GPS would know where it is, and thus the time zone, but no, on the Idaho Panhandle twenty miles west of the Montana border the clock will be off not one, but two full hours.

By the way, the top right button is the primary button you're supposed to use, and you'll just have to circle through 8 UI screens to go back and forth between the two screens you want.

Finally, the MapSource Topo software is well past useless: it can't even

Coby MP305-4GBLK USB-Stick 4GB MP3 player with LCD Display
Good:
- cheap
- excellent sound quality (for my untrained ear, at least)
- plays by folder, simple drag-and-drop interface. Just drag the folder with MP3s onto the player and the folder's name will be listed in the player's menu
- ability to delete files on the player itself
- FM radio
- pretty small
- AAA battery source - no need for a charger
- standard USB connector
- standard male-female USB extender cable included
- serves as a USB thumb drive

Bad:
- in a folder mode in order to switch to a diffrent folder you have to scroll through all files one by one to go to the top, you can not just jump to the top in one keystroke. So do not put a lot of music files in one folder.
- cheap plastic body
- no silicone case available
- removable cap will in all probability be lost
- only 8 hours battery life, so rechargeable AAA batteries might need to be used
- only 4GB and no extension memory slot
- headphones probably would not satisfy most users
- tuner is not the best
- COBY products do

Philips TSU9200 Pronto Universal Remote Control
I have been waiting and looking for reviews on this remote for some time but have been unable to find anything substantial so I just ordered it keeping in mind the hassle free returns I've had with amazon in the past.

I purchased this remote for my father-in-law and our primary reasons for doing so were the reputation of full customization Phillips has garnered for their pronto line of remotes and the ability to display music being played from a media center PC on the remote's LCD thus allowing the TV to remain off or for use in a separate room.

Thus far I've only spent a good hour or two with the remote and have not completed initial setup but wanted to give some preliminary insights to those who might like us be on the fence with this remote and its likely competitor the Logitech One.

This remote while dubbed a Pronto can really be considered a pronto-lite. The higher end Pronto remotes use a seperate piece of software called pronto edit while this one uses a brand new application

Philips TSU9200 Pronto Universal Remote Control
My Harmony 880 remote died recently due to the infamous battery charging issue. Anyways, as I was researching a replacement for the 880, I came across the Philips TSU9200. First impressions were "Wow, this a stunning piece of equipment!". It also had all of the features I was looking for, i.e. activity based commands, ability to learn new IR commands, customizable (more on this later), rechargeable battery, and reasonable price. I was excited when I received the remote. Aesthetically, it is a truly a beautiful remote (kudos to the designer)! My research had told me that there was some legwork to be put in to get the remote to work properly, but I didn't realize how much. So, I loaded the Pronto Configurator, the software that you use to configure the device and connected the remote to my computer via the USB connection. Similar to the Harmony 880, there is a default device database. I entered my equipment in - most of my equipment was found in the database, except for, ironically,

Canon PIXMA MP520 Photo All-in-One Printer
As always, the printer arrived within three days of my order, even though it was on a weekend.
It was packed well and all the required parts were there. The instructions were fairly easy to follow, even if you are not a "Techy". I would wholeheartedly recommend this machine to a friend or family member.
Thanks for doing another outstanding job.....you're spoiling me!!!

Canon PIXMA MP520 Photo All-in-One Printer
We purchased a Canon Pixma MP520 which was highly rated by Consumer Reports, and so far, so good. For a reasonably priced combination printer it is performing well. The print speed is good and the scanner has good quality resolution and is easy to use. So far, the feed is more reliable than on our HP.

Creative Vado Pocket Digital Camcorder-VADO POCKET VIDEO CAM PINK PERP2 HR OF VIDEO RECORDING Y
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1RY93JL20IW5B

I wanted to find out if the new Creative Labs Vado Pocket Video Camcorder (Silver) was better than the Flip Video Mino Series Camcorder (Black) or the Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder (Black). I myself am surprised by the answer I came up with. The real answer may be, "none of the above."

While all three are *good* devices for what they do, I am still searching for my perfect digital camcorder to come out at the right price. The short answer is the quality of video and audio on the Flip Mino is noticeably better than the Creative Vado, even when it's at its highest setting. However, for most users, the Creative Vado will probably meet your expectations at a much better price than the Flip Mino. The Mino's recent price drop makes the decision slightly harder, but there's still enough of a price difference to make the Vado attractive.

Pros
+ Video quality is ok on the Vado (similar to the Ultra) and much better

Creative Vado Pocket Digital Camcorder-VADO POCKET VIDEO CAM PINK PERP2 HR OF VIDEO RECORDING Y
This is a relatively simple to use camcorder. The problems that I have with it are mainly about the operating system.

1) There is no menu to allow you to scan through the videos stored in memory. Instead, you have to press play, and then skip through to the video you want to watch.

2) Accessing the preferences to change the recording quality or to set the date/time is a bit of a pain. It requires simultaneously pressing the play and delete buttons, but only when you are standing by to record rather than watching videos.

3) Transferring files to my computer is quite easy, just like retrieving files from a flash drive, but Quicktime couldn't play the files properly without downloading an additional component. That is a minor issue, and it was handled in a few minutes, but it was a mild nuisance.

4) The microphone is not very good. It doesn't pick up sounds unless they are relatively loud, and the sound quality is relatively poor.

Over-all, though, it is a decent little player

Canon PIXMA MP520 Photo All-in-One Printer
Epson, I expected, contained a streak of altruism in their business plan. However after just over 2 years a perfectly workable printer ceased to function---the LED display disappeared which made the thing impossible to program. I also found myself repacing ink at an inordinate regularity so I began to do my homework.
After weeks of study, and review reading, I chose my Canon Pixma520. Seemed that I could find none who would knock the product and many who regaled its virtues.
The price was right, many underscored the lengnth of time that ink "tanks" lasted and simplicity seemed to be the watchword.
So far after two months, I have found that I made the correct choice. The printer, easthethically, is a proud addition to my office and has been a pleasure to operate. I do a great deal of digital picture taking using Picasa as my photo storage. The transfer to and from the printer is simple and seamless. The image quality is very good. The transfer, from printer, to computer via memory

Creative Vado Pocket Digital Camcorder-VADO POCKET VIDEO CAM PINK PERP2 HR OF VIDEO RECORDING Y
I like this little gadget. It's small, durable, and does the job it's supposed to. I ordered this to be sent to my brother's house and found my nephew using it way more than me!

The video was about on par with my CanonSD500 digital camera. Also, I use iSquint to change the format from avi to mpg. To me, perhaps the advertised price could be a little cheaper, but for the job it's a great addition.

Creative Vado Pocket Digital Camcorder-VADO POCKET VIDEO CAM PINK PERP2 HR OF VIDEO RECORDING Y
I really like this little video camera, it's pretty cool and takes some rather good quality video. 200 megs of video equals about 00:07:30 or video (7.5 minutes). The device is a 2Gig unit that allways you about 1.8 gigs for video as some of the storage space is sucked up with programs and of course 2 gigs is actually 1.91 gigs of usable space.

Pros:
*Compact: I like how it's so small but does a rather good job.
*Simple: It's so simple to use it's rediculous, just hit the big button and record (would be better if the button was Red instead of white it would be more easily recognized as a record button).
*Video quality: for as small as this item is it's rather good at taking video, clean for the most part (i've noticed that it tends to have a decent amount of grain though is average lighting), smooth when you are moving the camera, no jumping of frames, at least not very noticable.
*Flip out USB connector: I like this but I think it's poorly placed IMO.
*Fast charging: I really liked how
