Great camera if zoom is not important

We owned a cyber shot that after a few years and many drops broke. We love this camera, the picture quality is the best! It is very easy to use as well. When we bought our new cybershot we were dissapointed in the zoom capibility. We ordered our new cyber shot camera on line and didn't get to play with it before our purchase. I would highly recommend going into the store to view the camera because when we went to return it, we had to pay an expensive restocking fee even though the box and contents were in new condition. If a zoom isn't that important, I would highly recommend this camera, we loved it, untill we wanted to photograph sports at a distance.

I traded a HP THAT I BOUGHT AND OWNED LESS THAN 24 HOURS BECAUSE IT GAVE ME A BLUE SCREEN AND SHUT DOWN 3 TIMES , FOR THE BEST LAPTOP I HAVE EVER OWNED HANDS DOWN.

Good so far, but

I am please about the new type of LED screen, but I was disappointed when I realized it didn't have a fire wire connection. Sad to think that a older model macbook has more to offer than my new updated macbook. I am still pleased about having a Intel CPU, instead of a G5. Now I can run Windows or Mac OS, but not a fan of Windows, but good to have the option.

Not bad at all

We got this to replace a 6 year old Emachines that died. I am pleasantly surprised at the speed and versatility. We bought it for basic things but it is able to play games like WoW, Far Cry, and TF2 at reasonable settings. The processor does extremely well for what it is. We got this at the store for $249 since that was the price on the website at that time. The only problem was that the software for creating Recovery discs did not work even when patched per instructions in a Live Chat Support session. A followup Chat resulted in getting a free set of Recovery Discs instead of having to pay $20. Don't let anyone tell you that Emachines support is bad. This is the 4th machine I have registered with them and the support through the Live Chat has always been excellent.
One thing I do miss is that it has no activity lights for the Hard Dive or DvD drive but that is becoming common these days.

Good Upgrade

Made my 3 year old laptop run like a new machine. Increased speed on the memory hog software that had previously bogged it down. I would have liked for it to have cost less but still worth the $ especially since I was considering buying a whole new laptop.

Easiest Way to upgrade RAM

Ordered this on line, got it a few days later and within 15 minutes had the cards installed and saw a noticable difference in speed. Am going to buy two more to double what I have now. Thanks Best Buy

laptop very poor

ran great for the first 3 month then it just stopped working , i've owned 3 laptops before and i can say ill never buy another toshiba. had it 3 months and it went down. they wanted $700 to fix a $800 dollar laptop i had for 3 months

Great buy, get it

I got this as a cheap replacement to my Dell 1505 dual core laptop and I've had it for 2 weeks now. I use it mostly for client presentations, web surfing, email, etc. It's thin, light, simple, and works great. I highly recommend it as an all around every day working computer.

Great laptop for the money

Great laptop for the money. Windows 7 is nice. Good sized hard drive (250 GB) for music and photos. Wireless feature works well for mobility. The only negative is the audio and speakers which are weak - it can not be used as a playback device but it connects easily from the headphone jack fo other stero devices for playback. It's a real notebook for the price of a netbook.

GREAT COMPUTER

well i have a bunch of computers and my laptop before this was a dual core 2.0 ghz HP with 3 gigs ram and windows vista home. this toshiba out performs it with ease. i did have some problems right after taking it out of the box. as soon as i turned it on it did a update that i didnt allow and then anything to do with a network wouldnt work so i did a system restore to right before the update and it didnt try to do it again and it has worked like a champ since, yes this doesent have the best processor or the most ram but for an average internet surfer and light games it does the job. and for all you people that worry about heating problems i can leave this on my bed for 5 hours and it will barley get warm and my HP i cant leave on the bed for more than 5 mins without it overheating (hp has yet to be smart and put the fan on the side of the computer like toshiba because its a LAPTOP if i wanted a computer that had to be on a table constantly then i would have gotten a desktop. so beware people  more

perfect for any music lover!

i purchased this item as a birthday gift and my boyfriend LOVES it! i was apprehensive after reading the other reviews that it would have horrible reception, poor battery life and the radio would not work various places. was wrong... it's GREAT! i was not familiar with satellite radio and did not know what stations were offered or anything. thank goodness the best buy sales rep knew her stuff, she was a great help and answered every questiion i had.
i was totally missing out - satellite radio is the best!
although we experience static every now and then, it is not very often at all and the device has not died on him once. he is faithful in charging the battery, just like a cell phone, so battery life is not an issue.
what we particularly love about the xmp3 is the ability to transfer music to the device just like an ipod, except in less time and with fewer steps. In addition to the jams he records from the radio, he has his own albums on the device too - perfect for him since  more

Camera

It's almost like the previous Sony camera I had, so it's easy to use, pics come out very clear...Have not used enough times quite yet so not much else I can say.

great laptop

It was between this and a macbook pro. The entry level macbook pro had the exact same specs but a smaller hard drive. But the pro does have the SD slot and firewire capabilities. For 200 extra dollars, I just didn't think those features were worth it since I have never used firewire in my life and the SD slot is only a minor inconvenience.

I switched from PC to MAC, this is my first mac ever. I love it. There's just so many small things that it does so well. You have to try it out yourself. And although the specs aren't as good as some PC's in the price range, you wont be able to tell because this operating system is so fast. No hang ups or anything so far. So many cool features and the trackpad is amazing. Also, battery life is 10 times (literally) better than my old Dell. I recommend this for sure.

best cheap laptop.

so far, this laptop is pretty cool base on the price. Everything is good. Keyboard looks cheap and there is no webcam and microphone. And processor is celeron. Windows 7 is pretty cool.

Perfect for the job

I needed a very small form factor USB flash drive to fit insdie a Dell PowerEdge R610 for running VMWare ESX. The PNY device was skinny enough to plug into the internal USB port and is now used as the host operating system for all my virtual machines on that box.

I have had no problems with the speed and usability of this device.

I love it!

I had a problem with battery not holding charge. BB sent me an entire new computer in a week and the new one works fine. I tested my new battery, fully charged to dead- 3 hrs and 16min. I thought that was okay. I always plug it into a wall so it really not a huge issue.
As far as the small keyboard, your fingers adapt within the first few times using it. Overall a great little netbook and have recommended it.

Great Camera!

I bought this product online on Friday, and just received it today, Wednesday. The price was right and I was looking for a good camera to take to Mexico in December. Im no expert when it comes to cameras, but I think this is a really great value! The quality of the pictures are great, I LOVE the panoramic option. The video quality is excellent. The camera is obviously bigger then a regular sleek and slim digital camera, but I was surprised at how light it was and how easy it was to hold. The camera is very simple. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out. If you are looking for a high quality camera that will take BEAUTIFUL pictures, this is a great buy! Don't even hesitate, its wonderful, and even my husband, who was opposed to me buying another camera, had to set down his Xbox controller and mess with the camera, taking pictures of the house and the animals! I cant wait to take my camera along for the holidays and start taking more pictures!

Easy to use

The system uses 4AA batteries and a SD card. This is great since where do you recharge when you travel or download pictures. Pictures are great and 10X zoom is excellent. I had to read the manual a little but most of the systems were intuitive.

Great laptop for the money

Only have had this computer for about a week now and so far so good ! Love the speed of this computer I am not a gamer use it for internet business, which seems to be a great tool for that purpose. The price was great, looks like this week is even cheaper so run really get up and run to the closes Best buy grab one TODAY you will not be unhappy with it ! The keyboard has a real nice feel to it though some of the keys are different from our last Toshiba if that is all I have to complain about I say that is pretty good wouldn't you ?
