After having read numerous complaints about this device going to sleep and never waking up, I made sure to immediately install it using the fairly public workaround of giving it a dedicated IP address. It has never used DHCP and it has never failed. Would it fail to wake up if I used DHCP? Probably so, but since I'm not using it that way, it's not a problem.
I'm ecstatic that the driver can be installed alone - without all of the extra overhead fluff that many consumer printers scatter around your system. When I'm not printing, there aren't 10,000 processes running in the background like there were with my old Lexmark.
So far I've only used the included inks and the photo quality, at least to an untrained eye, is much better than I would have expected from a device at this price. I don't know if the 6 ink option produces better photos than the default 4 color output right out of the box, but again, to my untrained eyes, the photo output looks great from the CMYK cartridges which

Apple's site and other reviews provide the essential information on what was upgraded in this new MacBook Pro (two graphics systems; machined from solid aluminum; new industry-standard DisplayPort video out; new trackpad; other minor changes/upgrades).
But why get this computer rather than the much less expensive MacBook that appears almost identical?
1. The MacBook LCD display is poor. It is not just a smaller version of the MacBook Pro LCD display. It has washed-out blacks, poor contrast, limited viewing angles, and less vibrant colors. This is a huge difference. I confirmed this with a side by side comparison in the Apple Store (and the store staff member agreed), and you can find further discussion at gizmodo dot com (gizmodo.com/5063492/macbook-and-macbook-pro-dual-review).
2. The MacBook Pro's excellent new graphics chip (NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT) can be used to speed up all operations (not just graphics) when the new Apple operating system (Snow Leopard) is released in January.

Apple is notorious for constantly updating their products, more or less to keep up the status quo on their products. The new Macbook Pro is no exception. This beautifully constructed laptop is a work of art in many ways in which i will detail.
SCREEN
The MBP has had a beautiful screen for as long as i can remember and this new model is no exception. LED lit means that it is "instant on". when you open the lid, there is no warm up time like there is with other screens like LCD ect. The colors pop and are extremely vibrant and true. If you have seen an older MBP screen, you've seen them both, kind of. The new screen is all glass. The glass extends to the very outer edge of the lid, leaving no empty space. Simply put, you can't find a better screen, not even on a Sony machine (and i love sony also).
KEYBOARD
The new MBP has an updated keyboard. The first thing you will notice is that the keys are black as apposed to the old silver. The black adds a nice touch because it accents

Good looking printer, nice footprint. Worked great when I first connected it but then went to sleep and never came back. The only way that I can make this work is to unplug the power cord (yes, the on/of switch is asleep too!) and then plug the power cord back in. What a concept for a wireless printer!
I usually do my homework well before buying something like this -- I should have checked here first:

Obviously, HP has a major problem with this thing. I can't believe that they would have shipped this thing out. No more HP printers for me (and my family of four have 4 right now). Looking at other brands.

I received this printer about a week ago and had it set up in 10-minutes (including connecting to my wireless network). The printer has excellent quality and seems to work flawlessly. I don't have a single complaint, which is significant for a $100 printer! I HIGHLY recommend this printer for home use (especially with a wireless network) or even small office use.

Read my other review about the G5 for the software advantages of the Mac. And my MacBook review about running Windows on your Mac. Let's talk about the hardware:
First off I don't own one of these machines, but I work with them extensively at work (I'm a PC/Mac Technician). This model in particular. I've probably seen at least 300 of these machines, and the failure rate is about 1 in 300 thus far. So, build quality is great.
Its 2 USB and one Firewire 400 port on the front are very convenient. It has 3 USB, 1 FW400 and 1 FW800 port on the back. The stock video card can drive 2 decent sized DVI monitors. It has a combined Optical/Analog minijack for audio in and one for audio out, as well as SPDIF in and out ports. It also has 2 Ethernet ports. Inside it has 3 open PCIe slots, 4 drive bays and an open removable/optical bay. Aesthetically, it's one of the nicest looking machines I've seen. The case is aluminum, and very solid. (We often take a couple of Macs and sit on the machines without

This laptop was purchased as a gift and was not refurbished, but arrived with no owner's manual, no quick setup guide and no "official" looking packaging. The laptop itself seems to work well, but the new owner is not comfortable trying to figure everything out for herself. We were able to download the manual online, and print it out, which was more than a little cumbersome, but it was not the experience I had expected overall.

BAD FEATURES:
1. display has lots of glare (hard to see in some light)
2. volume control by Fn+Page Up/Down (I prefer buttons or dial)
GOOD FEATURES:
1. lots of USB ports
2. memory card port
3. auto update to Vista SP1 within a week
4. fast!
5. lots of memory
6. case damage hardly noticeable

Overall very pleased with the purchase. Great laptop for what I needed it for and saved probably $300-400 on buying a newer model retail. My old laptop crashed and this was a great way to replace and upgrade rather than repair or buy retail. Took over 7 days to receive. Came with a 120 GB 5400 rpm v's the advertised as 160 GB 7200 rpm however Customer Service resolved this for me as soon as I called. That impressed me as a first time Overstocked shopper. Disappointed it didn't come with Dell recovery partition installed or disk.

Excellent laptop at a great price. Fast shipping and well packaged.. I am very pleased with the entire transaction. I look forward to buying from Overstock.com in the future.

We love this laptop. It works great. So much better than our standard desktop. The only problem that we encountered was that it arrived without a manual. I contacted customer service immediately. I was told that a new one would arrive in 5 - 10 business days. It arrived alright,in another state!. This time I called the 800 number. The first rep that I spoke to said that "someone really messed up!" He connected me with the parts department. This rep didn't know what happened either, especially since he was one of the online reps who replied to me. I just received my manual today,8/12. I received my computer around July 13. Hopefully this does not happen to anyone else. Needless to say it has been quite frustrating . The price was a fantastic deal. You couldn't find a better deal anywhere else. We saved over $300. Other than the problem with the missing manual, I highly recommend this computer. Also the customer service representatives were extremely helpful!!!!

I purchased the item from Amazon b/c i'm a Prime member, quick shipping. I upgraded the standard build to have an additional TB of hd space (www.macsales.com) and added 8gb of ram. the thing is wicked fast. The sound of the machine is also very low, which is great. I have parallels running my windows vm's (xp and vista) and am now testing out fusion. I added a 2nd video card (same as the one it came with) and now have 3 monitors (fusion beta 2.0 support multi monitor) but i'm not super happy with the speed of the machine which i exported (using the fusion VM Ware export tool). I think it could also be a beta thing. All in all, i used to be a Dell guy and now for the money i'm definately happy with the Mac Pro b/c for about 1k less i have an 8 core power house. I expect this will by my workhorse computer for some time.

I'm writing this review from the perspective of a power Windows user, switching to OS X after 20 years of Windows. If you have been using Windows, I'm hoping this review will help you with your transition to the Mac.
PROS:
-To start off, as everyone else in their reviews has stated, the Mac Pro is whisper quiet. I can barely hear the system, even when running many applications. You do hear the hard drive, especially after adding a second drive, but the sound is minimal. I thought most of the other reviewers were exaggerating about the quietness, but they were not at all.
-Setting up the Mac Pro was very easy. I did not have to change any network settings to connect to the internet, my PCs, my NAS drive, or my printer. Since my printer was networked, all it took was a username/password to connect. My printer's picture even shows up when printing and viewing the details. Everything connected seamlessly out of the box. I just had to do a quick configuration for my multi-monitors, which took
