After having read numerous complaints about this device going to sleep and never waking up, I made sure to immediately install it using the fairly public workaround of giving it a dedicated IP address. It has never used DHCP and it has never failed. Would it fail to wake up if I used DHCP? Probably so, but since I'm not using it that way, it's not a problem.
I'm ecstatic that the driver can be installed alone - without all of the extra overhead fluff that many consumer printers scatter around your system. When I'm not printing, there aren't 10,000 processes running in the background like there were with my old Lexmark.
So far I've only used the included inks and the photo quality, at least to an untrained eye, is much better than I would have expected from a device at this price. I don't know if the 6 ink option produces better photos than the default 4 color output right out of the box, but again, to my untrained eyes, the photo output looks great from the CMYK cartridges which

This has got to be one of the best computers I've ever had. It's compact and talk about quiet, it brings a whole new meaning to the word "silence."
It's a change going from XP to Vista, I'm hoping you can teach an old dog new tricks!!!

This VAIO model looks like it was modeled with the Apple iMac in mind. It's a very nice looking computer and the overall performance will meet most user's needs. Although it is styled after the iMac, the overall feel is not as sturdy, but this is a computer that costs less than half that of an iMac.
I'm not a huge fan of Vista, but the computer is running smoothly and has not acted buggy or unreliable. We've had no problems hooking this up with our home draft 802.11 N network and wireless printer.
The keyboard is also similar to the Apple brushed aluminum keyboard. Both the VAIO and Apple keyboards take a little while to get used to them. The tactile feel and feedback is a little different from traditional keyboards, some would say a little harsher. The mouse that comes packaged with this system is a little smaller than most mice. I find it a little too small for my preference, but my wife likes it. It is sized somewhere between a laptop mouse and a regular mouse. The LCD

Pros:
Great graphics (will play Crysis on High detail at 1024x768) 9700M GTS with 512meg dedicated memory
Great looking display - colors look great
Great sound (even has a subwoofer)
Looks cool (shiny with lights and chrome)
Comes with polishing cloth!!
External SATA
USB ports on the back and both sides
Built in GPS
Nice sized keyboard
Nice rough textured touchpad
HDMI hookup for a TV
lighted volume and media controls are handy
Nice sized keyboard
Can choose 32bit Vista or 64bit Vista (both if you have a 2nd hard drive to load up)
Cons:
No built in bluetooth (despite what the web entry says)
Shiny surface shows fingerprints
I primarily bought this as a gaming machine to play games that was below $2000. I was very pleased with the level of graphics performance for the price. It seems with a laptop that you are stuck with the video graphics it come with (unlike a PC where you can upgrade). The Nvidia 9700M GTS was perfect for my needs. It outperforms the graphics on Alienware machines

I needed to replace my 5 year old dell inspirion 2500 desktop. I was looking around for a new computer and found this hp at best buy. I bought this pc from best buy and i bought it with a 19inch lcd display and came with a free hp all in one printer all for 630$. Any way with this desktop you get alot of bang for your buck. Programs and applications work fast smooth. The chasis is nice and sleek. 2 front usb and 4 rear plus 2 firewire ports what more can you ask for, plus a 128mb graphics card for casual gaming and video. 15 in 1 card reader comes in handy The only downside is that some programs dont respond or install properly when other users are logged into the computer causing programs to crash and needs to be reinstalled but thats more of a windows vista problem then hps problem. To make your hp a6600f purchase a breeze please buy programs and install applications that are only ment for windows vista.

Good looking printer, nice footprint. Worked great when I first connected it but then went to sleep and never came back. The only way that I can make this work is to unplug the power cord (yes, the on/of switch is asleep too!) and then plug the power cord back in. What a concept for a wireless printer!
I usually do my homework well before buying something like this -- I should have checked here first:

Obviously, HP has a major problem with this thing. I can't believe that they would have shipped this thing out. No more HP printers for me (and my family of four have 4 right now). Looking at other brands.

I received this printer about a week ago and had it set up in 10-minutes (including connecting to my wireless network). The printer has excellent quality and seems to work flawlessly. I don't have a single complaint, which is significant for a $100 printer! I HIGHLY recommend this printer for home use (especially with a wireless network) or even small office use.

I purchased this unit for my son who is entering his freshman year of high school. I have an HP unit for work that has been very reliable so thought I would give this a shot for him. He is very happy with it, works great for surfing and watching videos. We have not tried the Blue Ray player yet, but assume it will be nice. Having the 3 GB of Ram appears pretty crucial as I recently was upgraded (?) to Vista at work and my machine, which does not have that much Ram, runs pretty slow on it, but his works much quicker. Only drawback might be the wieght of this unit. It has an amazing battery life, but it comes at a heavy price, pun intended, the thing weighs a lot comparatively, but all in all, well worth the money and was very easy to fire up and start working on it right away.

HP Pavilion A6500F Desktop PC (2.40 GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core E2220 Processor, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB Hard Drive, DVD Drive, Vista Premium)
I bought this computer for my wife at a good price, but I wish I had bought a different machine. It constantly runs out of memory and shuts down, losing data. She is running Norton 360, Second Life, Skype and AOL. Other programs are not up at the same time.
I tried making adjustments to make more temporary memory available, but that just kept other programs from working at all.
I learned too late that the memory is not expandable.

This is a great deal for anyone on a budget. While the AMD Athlon doesn't have the performance of an intel, it doesn't carry the bloated price tag of an intel either.
The 1024MB of RAM is upgradable to 4gbs, so there is plenty of room to build up as you go along.
The 160GB hard drive may not be large enough for users who have lots of mp3s, but it is plenty of space for the casual users.
The only complaints I have about it are:
1. Windows Vista. If you're new to windows vista (like me) then you'll either have to give yourself plenty of time to acclimate to the new OS, or down grade to another version. Either way it's still a windows. :(
2. Unrelated to the product its self. Shipping and delivery. I chose 'next day delivery' with my order...BIG mistake. This makes the second time in a row I've had to call Amazon customer service about an order being late/not showing up at all.

I bought this PC for a friend based on name brand and low price. While not an Intel CPU and only having 1 gig of RAM, this box is perfect for a budget user who want access to the Internet primarily for Email and browsing. It will get the job done. I added another Gig of RAM to help windoZe Vista to run faster/smoother, ran the Decrapifier to rid it of the commercial bloated software that is crammed into these name brand computers now a days, added a firewall and off it went. Great box for a spare also.

I purchased this PC at a very good price, but I wish I had researched it more thoroughly. My problem is with 64-bit VISTA Home Premium, which is incompatible with many of my software programs, including my CA Security Suite. The money I saved on the computer will be lost in purchasing updated versions of software. If I had had the option of buying this PC with Windows XP, it would have been a great deal. The PC does not include speakers, and the Polk Audio speakers supplied with my old HP Pavillion 754n are only capable of producing a barely audible volume. Apparently I have to obtain speakers with an amplifier.
All that said, it is a powerful, fast machine. For anyone for whom the 64-bit VISTA does not present a problem, it's a good buy.

The most annoying thing of all is that an HP Photosmart all-in-one C3180 purchased in May '07 won't work with this pc. The C3180 website does contain a purported driver download compatible with 64-bit VISTA, but at the end of a long download and installation, one is greeted with the error message that the software is NOT compatible with 64-bit VISTA. Thus a nearly new printer-scanner-fax

I just love the ease of this computer. Very easy to install. I use this computer in my home for personnel use. I did not like that it came with a 60 day microsoft office softwear. I had to uninstall the program which I did not want in the first place. You have to either buy the microsoft office softwear or uninstall it.

Well, rigth now I can say it's a very good notebook. But, if you are thinking to buy this model you have to know: (1) Windows Vista 32 bit only read up to 3GB of memory Ram, in other words, you have to upgrade to a 64 bits windows vista version if you want or need to use more than 3gb of memery ram (2) in my particular case, I never could to generate the restore disks, I buy them to HP and the set of disk never arrived and I never couldn't to contact anybody in HP to solve this problem. I loose 16$. (3) I bought a Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit and install it, after that, I downloaded all the drivers and software from HP website and install one by one (be carefully to search the correct ones, in the documentation you will find how), all of then operates fine.
Finally, I have a very nice notebook, the best I've ever been. I'm an Oracle Developer Consultant and I work hard with this machine and I can say "Ït's very nice"

Bought this computer to replace my 6 year old hp that has been taking a good beating from me over the years, I finally decided the upgrades would just be too expensive and it would just be better to buy a new computer then keep adding to my old system it would have cost over 800.00 dollars.to upgade my old system. the graphic card needed a huge upgrade since I couldn't run most of the programs anymore.anyways, back to the review of this system, the only real problem I had with it was the graphic card, it is an Intel graphic card and really isn't that great, few days after ordering the machine, I found out to get a good graphic card I would need to upgrade the power supply as well, since it is only 250 max watt, so I had to replace the power supply to a 500wt in order to get a new geforce 9600 gt, the other problem was having an older computer on the network, vista and xp pro might cause some problems but finally figured it out and am able to network the two systems, I also had some problems

I recently bought this computer from Overstock and I am very pleased with it. When I first got it I was pleasantly surprised at how small it is. It is smaller and lighter than normal desktops but is more powerful than most. I upgraded the RAM to 2 GB which I would highly recommend. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a smaller yet still powerfull PC.

I'm a graphic/3d artist, so I run some pretty heafty software on my little Hp tablet. Everything (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Maya, Zbrush, and Blender)runs almost as fast as it does on my desktop.
The only program that seems to suffer, is Maya. Keep in mind, that it is a freakin' enormus program, that sometimes even has trouble running on my 4 gig, dual Intel processors (6400 @ 2.13 GHz), desktop.
The TX 1000Z uses AMD, instead of Intel processors. Don't let that scare you. It reduces the cost of the system, immensly, and doesn't seem to have any effect on performance.
The touch screen is plenty responsive, but as with any other tablet pc, double clicking (even after adjusting the settings) is a bit touchy.
My only real complaint is with the sound quality. It's not bad, but for a product that is advertised as a media center, it's not as good as it should be.
Quickie observations:
1. battery life is about four hours, which is what I expected
2. the buttons, on the side (fast

I bought the HP tx2120us which was cheaper than buying the same components and features separately. I did a lot of due diligence before buying this laptop. It over performs and I'm extremely happy with this product. I suggest you buy this product.
PROS
- Extremely fast processor (I often have more than 5 programs running at the same time (Word, Excel, Outlook, Firefox, PowerPoint, Abode PDF and Photoshop) with no significant slowing in speed or freezing or crashing)
- Large hard drive space (250 GB)
- Tablet functionality is incredible (it's amazing how well the pen works and recognizes handwriting without training. In fact handwriting is more easily recognized than print. The free addition of One Note greatly enhances the tablet function.)
- Fingerprint scanner (you can scan all 10 fingers if you want despite what some reviews are saying)
- Feature rich (WIFI, bluetooth, 3 USB ports, phone & Ethernet ports, DVD burner, etc)
- Size (The PC is just the right size for me. Not too small
