HP Pavilion tx2510us Tablet PC-Turion X2 ZM-80, 12.1 3072MB
I bought this laptop to have a portable but full featured complement to my 17" laptop and am generally quite satisfied with it.

Here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pro's

Small form factor

Although the touch screen support makes the lid somewhat bulky and heavy for a device of this size, the overall small footprint still makes it ideal for carrying around unless you have an absolute aversion to weight.

Touch Screen

Unlike previous models, this one supports both active and passive touch meaning that for simple things like pushing buttons you can use your fingers but for fine drawing you can use the included stylus (which fits into a handy slot in the laptop). I have used both options and especially like the ability to bring up a program like Photoshop and rather than having to touch up photos using the mouse, be able to directly do it on the screen with high precision. I would love to see more applications designed to be driven completely by fingers as well.

Fit and Finish

Apple MacBook with 13.3" Display
In short, the answer is yes! The mac is not a pc, and you need to know that if you have never had one before there is a learning curve. It just does not do things like you are used to , and it does take some getting used to.
A week after I had received mine, and after going through what seemed to be the thousandth tutorial, I remarked to my wife that I had really screwed up, and I should have stayed with a pc. Now, some weeks later, I have learned to really appreciate the mac for what it is, a quick, trouble free tool to be used and enjoyed. I am able to do what I want so much easier than with a pc, and I really like it.
Close the lid, and it hybernates immediately. Open it and it is operational within 5 seconds and that includes being on line.
When I have to use one of the pc's in the house, I am constantly reminded of how much I love the mac. The delays in operations that I had just learned to live with are now a source of aggravation that I am no longer willing to put up

HP Pavilion tx2510us Tablet PC-Turion X2 ZM-80, 12.1 3072MB
In a nutshell, this was my first ever AMD-based PC. But I can guarantee that it will be the last. It will also likely be my last HP laptop.

When I was on the lookout for a tablet PC, the HP TX-1000 stood out like a Christmas tree in terms of the price. It was less than half of any other tablet PC on the market. So even though HP has absolutely no pedigree in creating tablets (and I'll tell you why shortly) the price alone made for a compelling reason to consider it. The more I looked at it, the more attracted I got to it. Add to that situation the fact that I had very recently acquired an HP desktop, which had totally blown me away with its presentation (especially over Dell). It was so much better (in every possible way) than Dell - at a cheaper price that I started thinking that it was possible that sometimes you did get more than you paid for. I thought HP had once again finally arrived as a serious player in the PC arena.

And then came this HP laptop, very rudely yanking me into

HP TouchSmart All-In-One Desktop with Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T8100
After my 10 year old computer exclaimed "Capt'n,I'm giving her all she's got and she's not giving anymore!!!" I knew it was time to invest in a replacement! I am amazed at all the features this unit offers. Wires?? What wires? With the exception of one cord (power of course) this unit does not ensnare you with any wires or cords. You can turn the keyboard anyway you want and position the mouse without having to untangle anything...it's great! The entire family loves the size and the clarity of the 25.5 inch screen. The best part is that there is no CPU, it's all contained in the monitor housing. I certainly won't miss kicking the CPU under my desk! Windows Vista is easy to navigate. I consider myself fairly adept at PC usage and this unit gives me all I need and will serve me well for many years to come. Sorry Gamers, I can't give you any feedback on gaming...We use the TV for that. The only drawback is that the touch screen is fun, it also gets the screen dirty...so have sreen cleaner

HP TouchSmart All-In-One Desktop with Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T8100
OK, you know all the pros from other customers, and I share most of them, but here are my cons:
- Too bulky and heavy. Don't even think to put it on a wall if it is not a cement wall.
- The support at the back of the computer is pretty hard to pull, you need to put the computer flat on its screen and pull hard on the back legs to install it.
- HP has good touch screen software, but for most of the applications that I use everyday (Browser, word processor, spreadsheets... ) I had to go back to the mouse+keyboard. Probably you will need to wait a few years to have the apps made for touch screens.
- The card reader (SD) got stuck and did not want to release my SD card. I called HP support, they told me that it was normal for the first use and to pull the card very hard. It's what I did and got back the card, but since, the reader do not latch on the card that I put in. So HP said that it was a malfunction and to send back the computer to them...
- When watching DVD, the sound, even at its

HP PAVILION DV9910US NOTEBOOK PC
This is an exceptional laptop though it does run hot on your lap so I got a laptop cooler just so it lifts it off my lap with circulation underneath and it keeps it cool enough so it doesn't shut down without using the usb fan which is great because I don't want to be listening to a usb fan when I'm working.

The first laptop I purchased at costco would crash when it got too hot because I had it directly on my lap without much circulation.

The laptop I have now with the cooler doesn't ever crash.

Another benefit that hasn't been mentioned is that there is room for 2 hard drives in the chassis. I put in another 250 gb laptop which is great since I am an avid photographer.

Vista handles smoothly with 3gb of ram yet it runs faster with 4 which I put in.

It handles photo editing programs with ease and it turns out that I was a Vista resistor but now I love it!

In total I spent $649.00 on the laptop after rebate and the only thing I am not completely satisfied with is the sound when playing

HP TouchSmart All-In-One Desktop with Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T8100
After many months of researching desktops I finally decided on the hp Touchsmart pc. While it didn't have everything I was looking for, ie; bluray burner,1tb hard drive, it came pretty darn close. I looked at everything from an imac, to the dell xps one, and even a bunch of desktop pcs.

After looking more into blank blu-ray disks prices I decided that having a blu-ray player would be sufficient as I rent mostly anyway.

I have only had the computer for a couple of days now but so far it meets and exceeds all my expectations.

The touch screen is awesome to use as are the included wireless keyboard and mouse.

The touchsmart interface is easy to learn and has so many customizable features that I have barely started to digest all that I can do with the computer.

The PVR with live tv works well with my standard cable signal and was easy to setup.

I am only having difficulty getting the available hd channels to show up as the standard definition signal is adequate at best on the 1080p

Apple MacBook with 13.3" Display
This model is the best value macbook one could get.

I am using two year old macbook which can go only 2GB. But this can go 4GB RAM which is cheap now. DDR 2 667MHz.

I would recommend to any one.

HP Pavilion tx2510us Tablet PC-Turion X2 ZM-80, 12.1 3072MB
This is much improved from the tx1000z. The tx2500z has an active digitizer pen and is a welcome addition. I got the 2.4gHz processor and is pretty fast. As the title says it's the most affordable tablet around. Yes it does get warm and I position the air outlet on the top to avoid the warm exhaust. You can adjust the power mode and minimize the temp. I gave this tablet to my son for college and I advice getting OneNote since it will have free form writing ability within the program. There's going to be a tablet netbook but I rather have a dvd player on mines. The main con besides the temp is battery life. Get the larger battery and you'll be much happier. Vista runs great on it. No BSOD or any problems yet since it was purchased.

Apple MacBook with 13.3" Display
It's amazing that this little gem still exists in Apple's lineup, what with the new aluminum MacBooks ('MetalBooks') having been unnecessarily stripped of FireWire and increased in price (the old $1500 pricepoint is now $1600).

Not so with this model, a white 'PlasticBook'... FireWire is still there (yay!), the price got cut to $999, AND they threw in a SuperDrive so you can burn DVDs (though to be honest, this last improvement was overdue).

While it lacks some of the niceties of the new MetalBooks (such as the multitouch trackpad, slightly nicer screen, and improved-but-still-not-great graphics performance), the nice price and inclusion of FireWire make this the best value in the new MacBook lineup.

Get one before Apple discontinues it.

Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Notebook - Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 2.1GHz - 14.1 WXGA - 1GB DDR2 SDRAM - 120GB HDD - DVD-Writer (DVD-RAM/-R/-RW) - Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi - Windows XP Professional - Black
I have used several IBM ThinkPads/Lenovo Thinkpads in my lifetime and I must say, without a doubt, they are sturdy laptops. They feel bulletproof in your hands, which is a testament to their construction.

This particular model was a bit disappointing to me at first, but once I worked out the bugs and got used to it, it has been ok.

Here's the story. Its a solid laptop, as I said. It is fast with nice features that you would expect from a laptop. What sets it apart from the rest is its build quality. I had a few issues with this model though. The keyboard responsiveness has changed since the days of my T20. They keys now feel more plastic is their response. That may not be the best way to put it, but they are more clicky I guess. That was trivial and only took a couple of uses to adjust. Now...for the major issue I had. After about an hour of use, this laptop would totally freeze up. I did some online research and found two culprits. I am not sure which one resolved it but

HP KJ378AA Pavilion A6430F Desktop PC
This computer is great overall. It far exceeded my expectations of Vista. I've had the computer for 5-6 months now, and the biggest problem I had was when the computer started running insanely slow and eventually crashed. Good old Vista ran a diagnostics test and found all I had to do was download an update for the graphics card that came installed on the computer, and it has run even better than before since then.

The computer has several USB ports, which is great for multiple wireless accessories. The 15-in-1 memory card reader is another great benefit, allowing you to transfer pictures from almost any camera without worrying about cables and camera software.

The computer has tons of memory, which is phenomenal. I've got half a gazillion programs, games, and pictures on mine which would bog down any computer from 2-3 years ago, but this one still runs very smoothly.

It plays the older games on it without any serious issues, at least with the games I've tried so far. Some of the 5+

HP Pavilion tx2510us Tablet PC-Turion X2 ZM-80, 12.1 3072MB
It's small, lightweight, powerful. Multitasking with Vista is seamless. Can play most of the new games on this laptop. Can use most new editing tools like Photoshop, Adobe Suite, Ulead, Video Creator. No lags and delays. Fast working time. Processor and memory do not max out easily. Great for work and entertainment!

Note that the AMD Processor generates a lot of heat so be prepared for this. But for me, the tablet mode compensates for this hot drawback.

VAIO CR520E/W Intel Centrino 2 Core 2 Duo T8100 2.10GHz Notebook - Dove White
I have had this computer for about 3 days. I love it! When setting up I didn't have one issue. (There was only 3 steps, nobody should have an issue). I read other reviews and see people were having problems with windows, well Sony has always worked for me in the past. So much that I have bought a Sony TV and camcorder. I do however love my Canon digital camera that takes an SD card, which is another plus with this computer, it has a slot not just for Sony memory sticks but SD cards as well so I don't have to use the USB. AWESOME! I like the graphics and screen brightness. This computer even has very girly cute preset backgrounds which I thought was a nice touch seeing as anyone that would buy a pink vaio would probably want girly backgrounds as well. I just wish the viewing screen was a little larger.
Everything is super fast on this computer. I have a dell Desktop and even when that was new wasn't this fast. I like the keyboard. Doesn't stick or anything and makes typing easy.

HP Pavilion tx2510us Tablet PC-Turion X2 ZM-80, 12.1 3072MB
This laptop is very good as for its price... its problem though is that is runs very hot, and the battery drains a bit fast... nevertheless, the touch screen feels good, and the keyboard is very conformable.. still adjusting to mouse... Another annoying issue is the lights of the buttons of the screen... I wish I could switch the lights off..

HP Pavilion tx2510us Tablet PC-Turion X2 ZM-80, 12.1 3072MB
I've had this laptop for less than 24 hours now. Went in to buy a VAIO, but the touch screen was irresistible. The laptop performs well most of the time. My only complaint - the keyboard keys are too hard. You won't notice the difference when you tap the keys a few times - but when you spend hours typing - you will!

The glossy screen is extremely painful in a room with fluorescent lighting. It makes it virtually unuseable unless you are in a dimly lit room. I haven't even tried it in daylight. Along with the hard keyboard, this is one of the most "unergonomic" laptops in the market.

Some users have mentioned that it gets pretty hot. Well, I think most laptops get hot - unless you're running a video or loaded a webpage on steroids, the heat is just about same as other laptops.

HP Pavilion dv2940se Special Edition Notebook PC
I don't know how this laptop can be reviewed poorly. For one thing it is amazing on paper with 4 gigs ram and 320 gigs storage, and it really delivers on speed and performance. The battery life isn't the best, but at school or starbucks there should be outlets anyways. It is also a very nice looking laptop with all the best features. It has a very nice media center with attractive, backlit, touch sensitive buttons at the top. This even has a remote with convenient storage inside the laptop. It also works very well in terms of range and registering all clicks. When watching movies or listening to music the speakers sound very impressive for a laptop because it's altec lansing. I don't even need to hook it up to my standalone speakers. The keyboard isn't the best I've seen but it has a nice firmness to it and does what it should. Also it's nice how the ctrl key is in the corner and fn is moved to the right because that is what I'm used to from desktop keyboards. One of my only complaints

Toshiba Satellite M305D-S4828 Notebook PC
I just purchased this laptop this week, but am already thrilled with it. The HDD is large enough to meet the needs of most users, and the speed and graphics should make all but dedicated gamers happy. The laptop does get warm while running, but so have all my previous Toshibas so I am used to this weakness. Battery life could definitely be better, especially if you hope to be truly mobile, but I've had no problems just plugging in at the coffee shop etc. The machine weighs less than half what my old laptop did so it truly is more portable for me. This would be a great choice for a college student- small enough to carry back and forth to the library or classroom, powerful enough to last the four years of school. I highly recommend it!

Sony VAIO LT33E Desktop-VAIO LT33E T8100 2.1G 3GB 640GBSYSTDVDRW 22-WSXGA WL TV XBEH
I bought the desktop Model LT33E, but most of these comments would apply to any of the 3X Models.

Although the computer may look white in the illustration, the computer actually has a matte silver finish, which fits in well in a home office setting.

The 22-inch wide screen is wonderful for watching widescreen movies, as well as for doing computer work, especially when you want to have 2 page-size windows open at the same time.

Vista and Office 2007--
-----Many people have had negative reactions to the new software environment, but try to keep an open mind until you work with them. I actually like the user interface and find them to be more graphical and user friendly. You may like them too.
-----When Vista was first introduced, many older peripheral devices were not recognized by Vista. In July, 2008, Vista was able to recognize my peripherals, so this problem seems to be abating.
-----This computer has enough resources (speed, memory, RAM) to run Vista without obviously impacting
