I entered the store to buy another computer but left with this after some knowledgeable sales people sold it to me. Great Laptop, love the OS and the keyboard. Seems to be pretty fast, comes with remote so you can manipulate it away from keyboard. Battery life is maybe 2+ hours, I came from a laptop with 12 cell battery to this one so i was spoiled. Overall a very nice computer for the price, especially if you don't want a huge screen.

I thought that i had done my homework and decided to purchase this computer. On the surface it really looked like a good computer however, within the 5 hours of using this computer it froze several times, lagged and had 3 dreaded blue screen messages and shutdowns! Not cool. I also had problems with the sound and video camera.
I will say that I didn't get the geek squad upgrades and I think this was the problem. However, i don't think you should have to buy upgrades from the store you purchased it from in order for the computer to run smoothly. In the end I returned this computer in less than 24 hours for a mac and IM VERY VERY HAPPY!
I gave mircosoft a change and they blew it, lol.

Great looks. Plastic keys are a little more difficult than metal keys. Like the way everything is layed out. Having some difficulty with "IE 8" with closing program messages alot. Over all though this is the best computer I've ever had.

The ac adapter failed and Wendy the supervisor at ASUS gave me the run-around and will not honor the 1 year warranty. The warranty card plainly states that the warranty covers everything but, the battery or free accessories such as mice or laptop bag. She says that excludes them from covering the AC adapter that is integral to using the laptop. I contend that the AC Adapter is not a free accessory. Wendy is at the Customer Support Line they keep putting in these review responses and their job is to tell you that your warranty does not mean what it reads. I believe they have made a business decision to not stand behind these because they have a high failure rate on the AC adapter. I believe it will cost them more in unhappy customers than they gain by cheating us out of our warranty. I have bought many ASUS products in the past and thought they were a reputable company. I can not recommend them in the future.

This netbook is fine, however the power supply failed in less than 4 weeks. I read reviews from others, and hoped that Asus would have fixed the power supply problem by now. I was wrong. Asus customer sevice was terrible... they refused to replace the defective power supply. Unfortunately from this experience I have to recommend that you avoid Asus products (they could have had a happy customer if they'd just replace a defective power supply).

Well built and nice looking product. The rounded edges and sleek lines of this netbook are really nice. It has a subdued pattern on the lid that is unique. Other Features that I like are the keyboard and built in webcam.

Just picked this laptop up at the beginning of the week and so far I love it. It has all of the features that you could possibly need for home use. It runs fast for having an AMD processor in it. The screen size is perfect, not to big, but not to small. It runs the same resolution as HP's 15.6 inch models, but without the extra size and weight. Windows 7 is amazing so far. Went from XP to 7 and I find it very easy to navigate and it offers far more features, like Windows Media Center. The only downfall that I have run into is that the battery life while running multiple programs is below par. I get, at best, 2 hours of life before I have to plug it back into the charger and this is typically running only two to three programs at a time. Also the trackpad will take some getting used to, as it is completely smooth and offers a strange resistiveness. Which makes it tough, to move unless you are barely touching it. The netbook is awesome. it loads fast and shuts down and powers up quickly. It only weighs a little over 2 pounds, and it is perfect for college life. I do not even realize i have it with me in my backpack most of the time. life has improved drastically since ive purchased the netbook a month ago

Bestbuy has the best price model for your money. Went to sony style and model is comparably 300dollars more in price. Cost is still high for a pc but again try to find an utlraportable with its features and you wont so get it if you can. last time i checked it was sold out glad i ordered it when I did.

A great little product that holds up very well against the more popular brand. It includes a 1 ft. usb cable to recharge the battery and transfer songs. Also came with 6 free songs, from various genres and a Rhapsody trial subscription. Transferring songs were a breeze, after I dragged and dropped one of my 320 kbps MP3 albums, it took only seconds to complete. The buttons on the front panel are sturdy and responsive, and when traveling won't buckle and change your songs when you least expect it. You can also record FM radio and your voice thru the included earphones. It comes with an extra microSD memory card slot (will accept up to 16GB) which means more music than you could probably listen to in a year. It also features Slotradio, where you can purchase separate memory cards with pre-installed music.

I am a little women and needed a laptop that wouldn't kill me to carry around. This mini is very light weight with a cool design. Everything works perfect except that I did not purchase extra memory so it takes a little while to boot up and sometimes the internet is slow loading. I will be purchasing extra memory soon. The battery life is great I can sit through a 3 hour class and still be fine. I love the keyboard it is very easy to type on and it is actually a very good sized keyboard.

I've purchased 3 of these in the past year. One for myself, one for my fiance (because he liked mine so much), then another for myself after I dropped mine in the washing machine (they're not waterproof!). I love how small these are, not bulky like most mp3 players. Battery life is good too; although I wish there was an auto-shutoff because I've forgotten to turn mine off before and it just plays until the battery dies.

Overall great because i was researching and shopping around at the time and found out theres even a message board/forum for this Sansa Clip Plus. this is great because i jumped for the 8gig and you still have a mem card slot for any other additional size. the guys on the forum for the clip plus were saying "c'mon Sansa, release a 32gb micro sd card for even more storage space." i opted for a 8gb micro sd card but destroyed it transfering it from the desktop adapter. (big hands on teeny tiny micro sd card.)i would recommend the jelly case sold on Amazon because when you put in the micro sd card it slightly sticks out but with the jelly case its even more secure.(cheap insurance.)

Great netbook. Ordered the black version online (the red - the only one they carry in stores - was a little too much red for my taste). Nice to have 3 USB ports on such a small chassis. Waited get Windows 7 instead of XP - glad it did. Performance was acceptable but upgrading to 2GB of RAM (its max capacity) really made a noticeable difference. My only complaints are the easily smudged glossy case (keep the Windex handy...) and while the spring on the lid keeps it securely closed, you'll need 2 hands to open again. Bottom line - Would I buy again? Yes.

I had been looking at the "netbook" market for a while and with all the different brands and sizes out there it took me a while. My main factors were price, size (keyboard and screen), and battery life. I feel that a lot of the netbooks out there are just cheap looking, like a little kids toy almost. The N130 is solid, yet light, boasts a 90%ish sized keyboard (works great with my big fingers) and has a 5/5 hours of battery life, real world. It comes with Windows 7 Started Edition which is great but my only complaint with Started is you can't change the desktop background... How dumb is that? Video isn't the greatest on here either, YouTube is OK, but video files are slightly choppy especially at full screen. But hey this is a netbook and is built for browsing the web, and for that it is amazing. I was considering buying a full size notebook and decided on this netbook and I couldn't be happier. It's a perfect fit at a perfect price. On a side note, I got mine running Mac OSX

Like I said, this computer feels awesome to type on. It's got a great screen and the AMD Dual-Core is amazingly fast. Don't always believe INTEL makes the best pc processors. I've owned many laptops before, such as DELL, APPLE, and GATEWAY. If i had to rate this PC amognst others i've owned i'd give it an 8.5 only second to my MacBook PRO. For the price of this notebook, I honestly believe value and quality cannot be matched. The computer is well designed and i truly like the touch for volurm and to turn wifi on and off. Computer is very fast and handles everything i've thrown at it with out a stutter. If you have issues with yours like some of these reviwers EXCHANGE IT! Sadly, even with quality control lemons get through, it happens every where in production. You will not be disapointed with this notebook PC. I choose this one for it's size as well. What is the point of having a 17" LAPTOP? I don't know, but notebooks are supposed to be portable. This has a great screen size, beautiful

Easy setup out of the box. Found the wireless connection and was hooked up in about 5 min. Used battery for about 2 hours after full charge and still says over 4 hours left. Keyboard is easy to use as well. Windows 7 is easy to use, waited for it to be installed on some netbooks before purchase, as I heard it was nice. Camera works great. Flash player and Adobe work perfectly, watched tons of HULU and no problems at all. If you just want the internet and portability at a good price this appears to be the one.

A great product. One thing that I found was that the free Norton anti-virus and other security stuff (firewall, etc) were not activated automatically. The Norton AV said it was on in some places, and at other times said it was off, so that was a little frustrating. Also, I found that some of my stuff (my Sony IC recorder for example) is not compatible with Windows 7, and the email and internet connection at my school is not set for Windows 7 yet either. This is not a flaw with the computer of course, but something to keep in mind since W7 is somewhat new. Otherwise, I love it. I still use my regular laptop for videos and so on, but the HP mini does pretty much everything the other one does except for the CD/DVD stuff.

The battery is so large that it protrudes out of the rear. The nice thing about that is it angles the keyboard towards you. I might need to update some settings, but after about 3 hours of continuous use the battery indicator shows low. I thought a 6 cell battery was supposed to be good for about 8 hours.
Other than battery life, this is an awesome netbook.
