I know the title to this review sounds confusing, but it will make sense after you have finish reading it.
This computer is fantastic! The first time viewing the giant 24 inch display I had a "wow" experience. The display is bright, colors are vibrant, and with its high resolution, photos are more life like. Another truly amazing feature is how quiet it is. It is noiseless! No fan sound! No sound from the hard drive! The only time is does make a sound is when the CD/DVD Drive is being used. Apple hit a home run on this! Another thing I like is how easy it is to setup. All you have to do is plug the power cord into your surge protector, next plug the usb keyboard into one of the usb ports on the back of the display, finally plug the usb mouse into one of two usb ports located on either side of the keyboard and your done. Also, I like how fast this system is compared to Windows. It starts up and shuts down faster. It goes to sleep and wakes up in seconds! And I must mention this system

i ASUS Eee PC 900 20G (8.9" Display, 900 MHz Intel Mobile CPU, 1 GB RAM, 20 GB Solid State Drive, Linux, 4 Cell Battery) Galaxy Black
After reading reviews for a couple of weeks, I purchased a eeepc900. i was happy with the size and the quality of the screen image, but linux is just useless. i had no idea that there are so many things you can't do, and the eeepc seems impossible to upgrade without first adding windows xp, which i'll do next week. anyway, i think asus is a terrible company because after just two weeks of this 900 version, they put out a 16g version, with xp, for $150 less than i paid. there's no way to return mine, because by the time i pay the restocking fee, i've already lost the money. i really, really wish i had waited for a MSI. dont buy eeepc. i made a mistake with this purchase.

Samsung LN52A750 52-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV with RED Touch of ColorThis is without a doubt the Best available. Ordered June 25 and amazon said it would arrive July 7th. TV actually arrived on the 3rd and was installed same day. We have installed the set in a room with six bright windows facing the set.We could not ask for better picture quality. Reflections are not a issue. Nor is the "halo" effect some have refered to. Between the product and Amazon we could not be any happier with our purchase.

I bought this for travel use and found it perfect. I had previously used a Sony PSP to watch movies during trips but tired of the small screen and the need to convert files to the mp4 format the PSP uses. I went with the XP version of the eee PC because there are a lot of video players (GOM, Real Player, etc) that work on XP. I get video files in a lot of different formats and its easier to load on video players than constantly worry about converting the video files. The battery life of the eee PC 900 12G is nothing to rave about but I always take along my myPower 3450 dual daisy-chained batteries which are designed for powering the large laptops so this low power eee PC barely moves the power meter on a cross country trip. I haven't taken it on one of my China trips yet but I don't expect it will have any difficulty powering the 12-hour trip. One last note, I found the wifi capability quite good in making connections to the internet in the hotels I stayed in.

Asus like made this unit as a hold over til the atom models where released. It is a bigger version of the 701. I thought the quality was not as good as the 701. The power cord kept falling out. The unit used more battery. Spend a little more and get the atom processor. I returned this unit, faulty charging is not a good for a laptop. The battery was not holding a charge either

I can understand why one of the reviewers was disappointed with his Asus eee 900. I got mine at Best Buy for $449.00 and a trimmed down version of Windows XP Home was pre-installed. It cannot handle Vista or a full version of XP and especially XP Pro. I also won't be adding MS Office products. If I need to work on something like that I will use the pre-installed Star Office or Works and save it in the appropriate format. For my needs, surfing the net at starbucks, etc. it will work great. I was also able to install VZAccess Manager and connect to Verizon Broadband with my USB720 modem. It has 3 USB Ports which is great, more than I expected. The speakers work great. Sound better than my Gateway Solo laptop. I used my iPod to transfer files like VZAccess Manager exe to the Asus. I'm on the road and forgot to bring a USB Stick. Also it comes with a nice padded sleeve although the small power supply/cord will not fit in that. A ZDNet review says the battery will last 3+ hours

This weekend I picked up a Mac Mini (with the above mentioned specs..) after doing tons of research and truly looking at my overall needs. Originally my thought was to pick up a Macbook but after focusing on my needs and seeking a cheaper alternative to jumping into the MAC arena I decided to go this route. After being a PC user for many many years the thought of learning a new operating system seemed rather intimidating but having friends who have made the jump made the task seemed a bit less daunting..
I spent many hours perusing You Tube for Mac reviews...everything from Macbook AIR..to PRO..to Macbook and eventually MINI. There's a lot of good informative stuff out there!! Also reading the reviews on this site and many other online reviews I felt I was armed with enough knowledge to finally visit an APPLE store and ask some intelligent questions. Fortunately I ran into 2 young sales guys who knew their product well and tried to be as objective as possible about the product they

Even though my Dell 600m is supposed to be "lightweight" at 5 pounds, taking it anywhere was a pain. With other items along, that bag became a real presence and a burden. So it often didn't travel with me.
Not so this little guy. It even comes along on an evening out. I have actually had to check my bag to be sure it is there.
I returned my first 900 20G because the 'E' key was not as responsive and needed a stronger tap. Many errors resulted. Even then I hated sending it back because I was so enjoying it. Quick and easy replacement process with DataViz.
The pros: Portability #1. Also that Linux is so clean and pure. I had never used Linux and was a little worried about adapting to it (I am, er, older), but it is straight forward. I love that it powers down in about 3 or 4 seconds, whereas the 600m takes forever. Similarly it powers up much faster than the 600m. Happy to live without all the 'bloatware' and virus risks. Screen is bright, large enough for my needs. Excellent Internet

As a TV I cannot complain. The 1080p resolution is great. The 120hz update rate is amazing. Watching television, playing games, and watching movies is very enjoyable.
So all the fundamental reasons for me getting a new TV are met, however all the 'extra' features come up a little short. The DLNA feature currently useless for me. The Samsung server software can only host videos and pics that are on your local harddrive. I have all my stuff on an external harddrive. TVersity currently does not play well w/ the tv either. Hopefully Samsung or someone will release a better DLNA server app.
The RSS feeds to the television are nice, but are not configurable. So the only feed you can get is from usa today.
PIP is only possible with analog signals, meaning you cannot watch two HDMI inputs are the same time. (Who has a 52 inch 1080p tv and watches 2 analog inputs?)
The sound system is not great. Eventhough it comes with a (or extra) woofer, the sound is about the same as any other tv out there.

Please do not buy this computer. I had this computer for two months and the screen is cracked internally. Dell said that I caused the damage and I would have to pay $400 to fix it. I work in social services and I don't have that kind of money. $400 is my rent for the month. I am now using my old Toshiba laptop that I have had for almost 6 years without any issues. I never taken it off my desk it has never dropped. This model in particular has the problem of internally cracked screens, just do some online searches and you will see this problem come up constantly. Stay away from this product.

I can't begin to describe how cool this laptop is. It is all you need for personal or business work. I have an Acer Desktop with 1 GB of RAM and 100 GB Memory. This little guy has 4 GB of RAM and an Intel Duo Core Processor (that's basically at least twice as fast as my desktop) and 250 GB on the hard drive! Those items are critical for good, fast performance. The keyboard is perfectly typical in its layout and the mouse pad is actually sleek and slightly indented, allowing you to seamlessly run your finger over the metal. The two button pads allow for more functions. It is completely intuitive and although I prefer Windows XP Home over Vista Home (XP is faster), you can't get around that nowadays. It comes preloaded with everything you need and I actually uninstalled some unnecessary programs. I took out the Norton Virus software and put in Windows Live One Care (my preference on quality and ease of use).

My daughter--a busy MD, mom, photographer-hobbyist--suffered, in the middle of her hectic schedule, the loss of a computer and asked me for a recommendation. Powerbook or iMac? 20" or 24"? Which 20" or 24"? Apple Store or Amazon? After some deliberation and "research" (an overused and abused word by consumers these days for "shopping"), I recommended the recently tweaked and revised iMac 20" 2.66 Ghz for the following reasons:
1. Someone with her busy schedule doesn't need to think about dragging a computer on her travels. Her PDA served her well during med school, but now she has to be person-focused at all times. A desktop machine tends to force its owner (like a piano) to make time as well as a work space for the machine, rather than have it constantly serving as a distraction. I would no more allow a notebook computer to replace my desktop machine than an electric piano replace my acoustic model, or a cell phone my regular home phone.
2. The 24" model admittedly has acquired glowing

This product is extremely easy to use - I only found one or two of the very extensive options to be a little unintuitive, but after less than a couple hours of poking around the features you really get a glimpse of the depth of the product. It may not have a few of the features that the $400+ models carry, but for my needs it far meets and exceeds. I was a little disappointed when it wouldn't find a numbered address on a highway ( such as when a smaller state highway runs through a city street ), but the database of points of interest had my destination on file.
I was somewhat concerned about the voice volume issue that I'd read about in a few of these reviews ( after already having put my purchase order in ), but I'd have to say any units with poor volume have to be from a bad batch - even at the default 70% volume it was clearly audible with music playing and a window open at highway speeds. At max volume you really can't miss it unless you have difficulty hearing in general, though

I bought this primarily to use with presentations and powerpoint. I like to walk around during a presentation and didn't want to be "tied down" to my laptop everytime i wanted to advance a slide. The device is actually quite small (doesn't necessarily look that way in Amazon pic), but fits nicely into your hand. Also, the USB plug in fits on the underbelly of the device which is very convenient. I use Windows XP and this device really is a no hassle, plug and play device. No other drivers or software is needed so you can bring this device to do presentations on other people's computers without any drama.
For those of you not familiar with the airmouse, it basically allows you to use all the standard functionality of a normal mouse, except you do it "in the air." It takes a while to get used to the motions and buttons, but play around with it for about 10 minutes and you'll get the basic hang of it. I was pleasantly surprised that the mouse is completely programmable, and that you

This TV is absolutely stunning, and high tech. It has all of the bells and whistles and was priced just right. I am transitioning to HD but the picture is coming in crystal clear now, so I can just imagine how much more blown away I will be once I get a Blu Ray disc player and a HD receiver.
If you are trying to decide between a 650 model or a Sony TV, THIS is the better deal. The 750 only cost a few bucks more than the 650 and the Sony televisions with all of these features cost So much more in price.
I am absolutely satisfied with this television, and don't forget to check the price after you buy it because the price will fluctuate and that's just money back in your pocket.
**The white glove delivery from CEVA------SUCKS!!! They gave me a delivery window of 9am-3pm and still the TV was not delivered until 5:58 pm, that wasted my whole day. Then the guy came in rushing and slicing the box open really fast, so don't be fooled, it's no white glove extra special nothing going on.

I won't repeat the praises of the TV quality of what others said, as I agree with most of them and don't need to repeat what is already said a dozen times. Now onto aspects that might affect buyers' decision.
Halo effect:
If you view the picture there a hard to see clear bezel, about a centimeter extending from the touch of red color. Under certain conditions you will notice the surrounding light up as if the TV picture's colors extends itself onto the surrounding bezel. It is noticeable, but not really distracting nor did it detract my enjoyment of the movies I watch. I felt the beautiful design counter this point, but to each their own.
DLNA:
I did a ton of research and find the lack of information on this feature so thought I would write a review mainly on this feature. This was the selling point why I chose this model over the 46A650. It was a mistake. This model present two options of video playback -- through USB and DLNA, both which failed horribly, in my opinion, because

I purchased this TV as I felt that the technology has finally matured to the level that I would be satisfied with and I am satisfied with the 750-series. My minimum requirements for an LCD HDTV are 120 Hz frame rate, 4 ms response time, 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and of course full HD (1920x1080 pixels) and this unit offers all of these. I do not have a BlueRay HD-player to see how 1080p would look, but satellite signal at 1080i looks smooth and sharp.
I did not think I would require more than 2 HDMI connections, one for the signal from a surround sound receiver and another for X-box/PS3-games for my kids. But I had not decided on the SS-receiver yet. The 4 HDMI and 2 component connections proved to be very useful. My older satellite receiver only had component and S-video. I used the latter for my old setup, which on HD looks terrible. The direct connection through component input improved the image tremendously. I suspect that this unit does video signal upconverting very well. When

With all of the coverage about poor Windows Vista performance on conventional (aka more powerful) hardware, it is surprising the anyone would think that an ultra-portable form-factor could run it successfully.
Other ultra-portables from ASUS and others are shipping with far leaner and more stable operating systems like Windows XP or Linux.
I love this form factor, but we're a long way from ever seeing Vista run well on any of the units in this class.

Just received this truly beautiful set. The delivery people were not as "white glove-y" as some other reviewers reported. They simply put the set where I told them to, turned it on and made sure it worked and left with the box. But the remote is extra-easy to use, the instructions are very straightforward and the picture is great. I don't even mind the on/off noise that seems to bother some. This is a set you actually want to display somewhere - it's that cool-looking.
